I really like the location 15 or less to San Ysidro border. Many locals and poplar places to eat I didn’t even like anything about the location

Stains on lampshades and carpet, and a sour smell throughout the entire hotel. Breakfast items often not stocked up.

While the breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were really nice and accommodating. And the handicapped rooms were spacious and clean, there were definitely other conditions that made our stay very uncomfortable. The room we had, we could hear the music from the lobby. The hotel lost hot water for two days and nothing was said to guests. Just let us figure it out. Not even an attempt to compensate somehow. The sliding door for the bathroom is on the heavy side and tended to roll back open as well. The shower handle to switch the shower heads were not functioning properly. The outlet near the bed was not functioning properly. The hotel had very few staff that if you had a concern in the middle of the night, you might be waiting a while to get help, as it happened to us. Definitely was on the pricey side given the amount of issues we encountered. I left feeling more tired and exhausted than before getting there. The music situation was felt with three days out of the five days into our stay. The water situation was dealt with also three days into our stay. And if you are in need of their printer services, you will encounter issues. At least the front staff in the morning was able to assist with the matter. I hope they get it together. I stayed there before and didn’t have any issues. Seems like the quality has diminished since then.

Most of our stay was very pleasant, but we had a significant issue with the air conditioning. The unit was very noisy and kept cycling on and off throughout the night, which woke us up several times. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get a good night's rest because of it."

Hampton Inn is always good. They're everywhere. Always clean the free food, very safe. Keyless entry is the best! Staff is always nice and helpful. You've got all you need here. Didn't have a hot tub. Us hard workers look for to that unwind.

Property was great new and very clean. When i made this booking i loced it becuase said cats and dogs were allowed i called a couple days before my stay turna out they had changed pet policy only dogs and when i get to the hotel signs of cats and dogs welcomed everywhere kinda bumbed had to pay extra for a pet sitter.

We had a king size suite and it was very comfortable. There is a CVS next to it and bunch of resturants nearby. The imperial beach is a walking distance. Downtown and Coronado island were both around 15 - 20 min drive. The receptionist Alyssa is super nice, she ensured we had a comfortable stay with our baby and helped us setup the crib. If I come back to San Diego, I’ll for sure stay in this hotel again.

The place is clean and the rooms are good. The breakfast wasn't the best and I was hoping for better. The orange juice was out, no one came to refill. The breakfast potatoes were mushy and lacked flavor. I'd stay there again but skip the breakfast.

The hotel was very clean and offered a great breakfast. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the bar, but it looked like they had a pretty good happy hour. The hotel is close to the beach too.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We needed another night and let us stay in our room and rebook. Its such a great location and within walking of some restaurants and grocery outlet. The bartender Cheryl was a hoot! Good fun!

The Hampton on the other hand, was beautiful, clean, quiet (except for the Elephant upstairs); parking was cheap, breakfast was included, and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend

Clean, large room. Akelah at the front desk was most helpful and pleasant. Customer service was excellent. Dining room was clean and breakfast was awesome with lots of choices. Very close to the beach with lots of food restaurants all around. Stayed at a 4 star hotel the night before and this Hampton Inn out- performed them by leaps and bounds! Satisfied customer.

Cute, clean, spacious room, conveniently located, decent free breakfast with diy waffles and a tray of hot eggs and potatoes along with the regular continental options. We loved the beautiful bay view. Small bar and grill and market with basics on site.

I was a little worried about this stay. The neighborhood didnt seem to be the best and I read alot of reviews mentioning a smell. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly the property was clean and tje area seemed decent no issues. As for the smell, ITS THE OCEAN!! Definitely would and will stay here again. The breakfast was great and the bar and night restaurant seem fun. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the parking. Seemed a little crowded, but definitely not a deal breaker.

We stayed in a suite which was spacious and very clean. We had a quick bite at the bar downstairs with a few drinks. Cheryl, the bartender, was very nice and gave us some restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was very good. It had a variety of things to suit everyone. Nothing. It was fantastic.

This is our normal place to stay when we come to San Diego, but I think it will be our last time. I'll be canceling our reservations for the end of the month. Our check-in and customer service (desk) were great, but two other individuals were awful. Their behavior was rude and disrespectful. I'm not sure if they were new hires or not, but they need some training. A female desk staff member on December 8th with a walker and another female desk staff member on December 10th at 1:18 p.m. were both unkind. You could see the disdain on their faces, as if we were disturbing their day and beneath their help. I'm not saying all the desk staff were like this, but these two were horrible.

The complimentary breakfast was done right. Plenty of options, eggs, bagels, waffles, bacon, cereals etc, and bonus they always had hot coffee & tea available. You'll pay for parking but they offer free EV charging for guests, this was a wonderful surprise.

Stayed for a work trip. The hotel was extremely close to where I had to work and had many food options within walking distance. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We’ve stayed here before and the service is the best part. Every desk clerk does everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The room wasn’t as clean this last time. There were lots of fingerprints on switch plates and high use surfaces like lamp switches. The floor seemed like it could have been mopped in non carpeted areas. It seems like the Covid cleaning days are over? Hopefully they will step up the game again because yiu shouldn’t have to goto a 5 star hotel to have a clean room. Hotels deteriorate when not cleaned properly. Hopefully next time will be like other times we stayed there. We were not totally grossed out, but definitely guarded and will request a clean room next time lol. & we didn’t say anything due to our bandwidth and we’re only staying there 2 nights.

At check in we were able to check in early with out any issues and when we had an issue with the room they were quick to fix it.

Would have given 5 stars in all categories but hotel had no water when we arrived but staff was extremely helpful when we told them we had a wedding rehearsal and dinner in 2 hours of arrival and needed to shower and use bathroom.Close to beach and great restaurant selection within walking distance

We were very happy with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. Staff worked hard keeping all areas clean. The lobby bar was great and had reasonable happy hour deals. The location worked for us, there are many restaurants within walking distance.

The room and property were always clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh and offered great choices. Above all, the staff was friendly, helpful, accommodating and always upbeat.

Very new and well-kept facilities. 4 nights and no maid service, no fresh towels, no toilet paper. Room cleaning was promised both by the desk and by messages, but never happened.

We love staying at the Hampton Imperial Brach each time we are in San Diego. The only thing that is negative usually is the water pressure the water pressure is always subpar and I feel like I’m taking a spit bath! This time however it looked like they had flooding and we were put in the hall with fans blowing all night trying to dry out the walls that had peeling wall paper. Would not have minded as accidents and flooding happens, but don’t put guest in the hall that had the flooding exposing them to the loud fans. Otherwise we always love the facility and the staff!!!!

Front desk very nice and informative. Check in/out was quick which I loved. Our room was clean and our king bed was really comfortable. I had a good night sleep. Love the fact that Starbucks was just next building, and other dinning restaurants. The area is very quiet and nice. And finally, the beach was just 4 mins away from there which was amazing too. I will always come back for a mini vacation!

The room was adequate and a good location with amenities. The breakfast was quite unhealthy other than the yogurt because disappointing the fruit was often bitter or not ripe. Worse was the cold tea and coffee each morning - no matter what time you went to the hot drink area, the option was luke warm water for tea of cold coffee! There was no option to get anything else at breakfast - the room has a coffee machine for tea so as you can imagine, your tea taste of coffee there. So every morning, you have to hit the Starbucks to get a cuppa. There is also no room service.

When I arrived I told the front desk that the toilet didn’t flush. I went to get some coffee from the complimentary money area and the coffee was cold. When I returned from my event, later that evening, my toilet had not been fixed.

The breakfast that was offered each day during our four day stay was the same each day except for the breakfast meat choice. I was concerned that the proper food temperatures were not being maintained for food safety…I attempted to address with the kitchen staff…they did not speak English….Front desk was not concerned and did not take action or address my concern.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn during Labor Day weekend. Overall the stay at the Hampton Inn was fantastic The lobby and rooms were clean and staff were friendly. The hotel was in close proximity to the beach. The first night in the room, the vent in the bathroom was very loud. I contacted the front desk to report the issue and maintenance was quick to respond and fixed the problem. At checkout there was an issue with my price since I booked from a third party website; however, staff resolved the issue for me and credited me the difference. The Continental breakfast had a good variety and the food was delicious. I would stay here again during my next visit to IB.

Everything was beautiful and clean

The stay was comfortable and nice. The staff was very friendly and made the stay better. We had an issue with the plumbing very early in the morning but we were able to figure it out. The only thing I did not like was that they did not service the room on a daily basis. This meant our trash was very full. Other than that everything was wonderful. I would definitely stay again.

I like friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of room. And the parking was on the spot
