Starlight Inn Huntington Beach

I made this reservation from my cousin and his girlfriend and they loved it. They said it was tidy and clean and very nice.

Would not recommend this place. I requested for a different room since the door handle were broken prior to checking in. Property owner and his wife were rude and unprofessional about fixing the door handle and wanted to charge me extra for this.

My only issue was waiting a while to check in even though it wasnt late, and no one there in the morning to vheck out with a sign saying "please dont ring bell to check out", which of course lags the return of the depost (took 6 days).

This property was totally not worth what I had paid to stay there and the air conditioning didn’t work in my room and it was outdated and there wasn’t even a phone in the room

Have a hard time didn’t notice they are not friendly pets and my son with disabilities has a small dog the charge me $150 more than you charge me for the room very disappointing

This was a good place to stay for a simple nights stay based on value. The room was nice and clean. You could hear the nearby road but the air conditioner dulled the noise. There were only 2 outlets so we had to unplug the microwave to charge our phones. Overall, worth the stay and would stay here again.

Drug sales and use happening in the parking lot. Users were actively checking for unlocked vehicles. We checked out at 12:15am and had to find another hotel.

My stay was amazing. Blessed to have checked in here. Very afgordable. Short commute to Huntington Beach Pier and shops. Easily accessible, quiet, and clean. I definitely look forward to my next stay.

This place was dirty in every corner and crevice, front office smells terrible like it hasnt been cleaned in decades, very difficult to get to, check in was very slow and i was charged unexpected and unexplained fees, bed didnt have full size pillows, only mini pillows, i had to use my own batteries for the tv remote as none were provided, no lock on door, dirty bathroom, very few amenities, no do not disturb sign, paper thin walls and ceilings with very loud neighbors drinking all night, bad area of town felt very unsafe, would not recommend.

Although the property has been upgraded it still needs a bit more work. The doors are run down and the bathroom windows were moldy. Otherwise, vary clean. Good value for the money

There was no security lock on door. Air conditioner was not working well. Shower had hair in it.

Room for money totally. Management's lack of courtesy and professionalism was a big drawback. Firstly, we asked for an additional pillow and was told there must be another one in the room. There was not, and he proceeded to enter room and verify we were missing a pillow. Next morning, we checked out only to be told our cash deposit could not be returned until housekeeping arrived to verify condition of room. I explained police would be notified if my deposit wasn't returned immediately. Magically $100 was pushed through the open portion of the window. Crazy.

The bathroom window was broken, there were gnats all around the sink area. Floor was dirty. Front door was missing weather seal, could see porch light from inside the room around door frame.

Staff did not use speaker to talk through window so I couldn’t hear her at check in. Rooms were much nicer than i expected. Sadly we checked in at midnight and still had to pay full charge

Great place to stay. Updated and modern look. Close to a lot of restaurants and fast food.

Rooms not really as advertised. Look much nicer in the photos. The sheets are rough and itchy. The remote was sticky and peeling.

I went to visit my sons to Orange County and I was searching Hotels close by their places and I found The Starlight Inn and yes very nice very reasonable very clean I definitely recommend it

I do need my money back I find a lot of bugs on the bed I didn't slept for a minute the room smells so bad to plug your phone for a charger you need to go to the restroom to charge your phone cuz no plug behind my back my bed

It's a basic clean motel, suitable for a one night stay, the unfortunate thing were the ants in the bathroom and in the sink outside the bathroom, when I told the desk they said we're close the the beach, that happens.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Restaurants were near by for convenient eating. Plenty of parking.

The building is aged though the inside may be renovated years ago. The door, the windows seem original. Didn’t sleep well due to noise.

The room looked nothing like the pictures. The remote control for the tv did not work. It’s right next to a car wash so it’s super noisy in the morning

Rooms are great!! Area very quite and good.

Excellent staff, rooms are clean and recently renovated, very close to many dining and transportation options. Area seems a bit sketchy but value for the money is very good.

The room smelled so bad & the door was very dirty & taped up. We had to buy Lysol & disinfectant wipes to disinfect, clean the door & wipe down the room. The odor was still lingering.

Front desk lady wasn’t friendly but the stay was okay.

Room is updated and looks nice, but there was hair from a previous guest in my shower, direct tv box only worked if you positioned it in specific way so the cables connected correctly, AC was very noisy and the fan wouldn’t stay on even when programmed to. My room smelled like smoke because even though the property says non smoking, the guy a couple doors down was chain smoking and looked like he stayed there long term. Another guy was working on his car in the parking lot like it was his garage… overall the room looked nice but everything still felt like motel 6.

Let me tell you about this woman at the front desk. Absolutely rude and inconsiderate. Based on the review I read AFTER THE FACT, I probably won’t get my $100 deposit back. We did NOT get the room we booked. The room we got was comparable with a room at a motel 6. The cleaning staff was constantly asking when we were leaving when we had multiple days left. The lighting consists of individual switches for individual lights to provide ambience in the room. For example, if there are 6 lights in the room, there are 6 light switches in the room in the most inconvenient spots imaginable. Flicking some actually caused back pain because they were so low to the ground. The only outlets we could use to charge our phones were by the sink, and whatever we could salvage on our own, ie, unplugging the microwave. Book anywhere but here. I wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw her. Did I mention we were also given a room that reeked of drugs and Marlboro short cigarettes? -10/10. If that wasn’t enough, our room keys were on a timer. We went thru 4 room keys throughout our stay. We had 3 guests total and we were given 1 room key. Not 3. 1. If you book after reading this, I’m gonna have to assume that comfort isn’t what you’re looking for.

Perfect for a good nights sleep. Not a super great area but not bad either. The floor was a dirty when we went in but overall very clean. It was late and I didn’t complain. Simple check in outside. The building was very old but updated. Would definitely stay there again if needed to!

I would recommend this place to my friends and family. For the price, you can’t find a better place.

Enjoyed the brief two day stay - clean, convenient, good area, and affordable. Room is recently remodeled with a modern look - the mattress needs updating though (uncomfortable). Over all, it is a good place to stay for a temporary visit.

So it was cool they moved us from the second floor to the first since it was just stairs and we had just gotten back from all day at Disney . The room looked “ newly renovated “ but it had no storage and the bed was on some type of metal contraption that you can hear sitting on the bed or just moving around . There was a huge Blackwidow spider in the bathroom window that the property owner came and killed but made it seem like it was no problem. The shower head wasn’t seated correctly so it sprayed everywhere and al the soap and towels were in the sink area away from the shower area… oh and the tv was busted… we should have just stayed in the hotel were were previously in and extended our stay there

TERRIBLE!!!! First they gave us a room that was occupied by a sleeping weirdo who obviously lived there. Then they kept $25 dollars from my deposit because I used their washcloth to wash the makeup off my face and they said they couldn't clean it off.

I used a wash cloth to take my makeup off so they took my 100.00 deposit. Horrible place to stay, horrible
