    My third floor room had a sliding glass door out into a porch. It only had the standard lock which can easily be forced open. It did not feel safe for a woman traveling alone. The room had a wall tv mount partially installed and the shower fixture was poorly installed and loose, both trivial but not worthy of the Marriott brand. I love Marriott for the comfortable beds and this one was.

    Toilet was broken in our room. They said they fixed it, they did not. Moved us rooms for our final night. TV barely worked. Tons of construction going on. Would not recommend.

    They do have fresh Starbucks coffee in the lobby every day! The lobby is quaint and great for a social drink and appetizers, but its not a full service restaurant. Had the king room with loveseat. It was just perfect for a weeks stay. Bed was sooo soft and comfortable. Very clean, and the house cleaners did a nice job every day. Ice machine on the 3rd floor, fridge worked, and the AC worked fine with no rattling or excessive noise. Was 25 minutes to Charlotte Speedway. Was about 40 minutes to downtown "Uptown" Charlotte - IYKYK LOL The hotel is currently under renovations so there was some noise on the 3rd floor, but the first floor was all torn up. The laundry facility was not available and more than half the days of 7, the snack purchase area was closed. There is not hot tub, but the pool area was open and appeared clean although did not use this amenity. Will definitely stay here again!

    Great location- near interstate exit. Close to birkdale village and other restaurants. It definitely needs updated and lacks charm and ambience. The bathroom wallpaper had a big patch (about a foot) that was peeled up near the floor. There was no breakfast the first morning. We didn’t necessarily want a meal, but some fruit and maybe a pastry would have been nice. The second morning they had out some brown- spotted bananas and a few small oranges sitting out on a counter. Not in a bowl or basket. I didn’t see if there was anything else. It’s in such a convenient location that it’s a shame it either hasn’t been profitable enough to update.

    Room was clean but under construction. Has visible wall repair throughout and wet drywall mud. Beds weren’t the most comfortable and the window coverings kept the ac from blowing correctly. Kids enjoyed the small indoor pool area.

    Nothing They were doing construction on site, started at 9am. Never was told before booking. Cancelled my reservation, not to mention I called and spoke to someone and when I arrived at the hotel they told me the person I spoke to isn’t affiliated with the hotel. Day 2 I had no water for 30 minutes day 3 my toilet bowl was clogged went downstairs to use the main bathroom downstairs that was out of service because of construction… so I told front desk so he decides to come upstairs and unclogged the toilet. One more thing, my refrigerator in my room wasn’t working the entire stay! They replaced it day 2, day 3 as I’m packing I found a note, stating refrigerator is fixed.

    The hotel does not live up to what one expects from a Courtyard. There was no tooth brush available at the hotel (no free one nor to purchase). The door to the room was damaged, the safety latch was loose, the TV remote not working, the room very Motel like.

    It was OK. In all honesty, I thought I had booked a different hotel and actually went there first, only to discover I had booked this place instead. The bed was comfortable, and it seemed pretty clean. Check-in was easy, and the clerk was perfectly polite. There was no breakfast included; if you wanted it, you had to go down to the "bistro" and order it. The hotel smelled kind of like laundry and cleaner, which I know could be worse. The coffee left a lot to be desired, it was very weak and watery. By 9 am on a Saturday, the housekeepers were making a ton of noise just by opening and closing doors; that's not on them, though; there are just insanely thin walls. We weren't fans of the places to eat close by, but that is just our personal preference, so others might be OK with it.

    It is very loud when the air conditioning/heater turns on and off, as needed, which for a light sleeper is very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Nothing you can really do about this but I prefer to stay in a motel/hotel that doesn’t have this type of system.

    Not a lot Despite paying for it, did not get breakfast. Offered a discount, but can only get that from Booking.com so I doubt I'll get it. Poor WiFi - why does one have to joine a hotel's chain's loyalty scheme to get wifi? Other chain hotels do not require this. Not good enough.

    We finally were able to get a night away without children. Brittany at the front desk was so sweet! The room was wonderful. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants. Easy access to 77. The overall stay was just wonderful. We highly recommend and will return.

    We finally were able to get a night away without children. Brittany at the front desk was so sweet! The room was wonderful. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants. Easy access to 77. The overall stay was just wonderful. We highly recommend and will return.

    This hotel has a fire pit outside, beside the hotel. A large group was allowed to sit out there and party from midnight to 3 am.     The person who checked us in was nice. The room was acceptable. Then the smoke detector low battery went off at 3 am multiple times. I found the phone to call the front desk, it was disconnected. I used my cell phone to call the front desk. The woman said her monitor showed no fire. She told me to disconnect the battery from the smoke detector and someone would come in the morning to fix it. She said the phones were being updated and some of them were not working. I expressed more concern for safety, and she did not seem to be able to help at all. Needless to say I was unable to sleep the rest of the night because I was so mad and concerned. Upon checkout, there was no one at the front desk. Just a bowl to put your key in.

    They stay was ok we booked this hotel because of the pool after we check in we’re told the pool was out of order and wouldn’t be in working order until September. Worker said the owner didn’t want to buy the part for the pool just yet. The chair in the room had crumbled up granola bars all in it. We needed plug ins for two bi-pap machines and the plug ins was so worn out they would barely hold the plugs for the machines. Staff was very nice just the place wasn’t up to marriotts standards.

    The staff are absolutely wonderful!! The beds are comfortable and it’s an ok place to stay for a few days. There is a distinct smell though of past cigarette smokers which lingers. And the cafe was only open for a few hours in the morning.

    Bathroom was oddly small, with low ceiling and no fan in the bathroom. Minimalist room and not very large for a 2 queen bedroom. A/c was ineffective; did not cool room. Outdoor seating area was unlit and not kept tidy. Not inviting to sit outside. Fire pit not lit. Overall not worth the price.

    Staff were very nice and facility was pretty clean. But, even though we were there two nights, when we came home last the second night pretty late, no one had cleaned our room at all. We had no dry towels and were out of toilet paper and tissues almost gone so my husband had to go find someone to get those items at midnight when we were very tired. The room was also very damp feeling which made it slightly uncomfortable even though AC was on. Pool was out of service and so was the ice machine on our floor. Wasn't a horrible stay by any means but I've stayed at other Marriott properties that were a little nicer.

    Our room was lovely although we did initially have a hiccup when we checked in as our shower door would not slide open. They promptly moved us to another room. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The best part of our stay was the food we ordered from the Bistro. It was amazing (and I’m super picky with food). So my compliments to the chef!

    Hotel had a few issues which made things less than ideal. First the overhang at the entrance was damaged so you couldn't enter the hotel easily. The Pool was closed for repairs. My bathroom shower had 2 issues there were several tile in shower that were broken. The other one that was the shower head was spraying all over the ceiling.

They have one guy working the breakfast cafe- therefore took a long time just to order. Didn’t wait around to eat. Not many options for kids. When on a vacation, need quick and easy options to eat.     The overhang had a yellow caution tape around it due to a truck hitting the top ... no contractor arrived to fix or secure while we were there. The swimming pool was closed, waiting for inspection. The windows in our room overlooked dead bushes, weeds, garbage on the ground. This couldn't be a Marriott Courtyard.
