Perfect room very clean and homie. Bed are very comfortable and love the hotel. Friendly, safe and family friendly Would send any of my close friends and family just loved the place.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and adequately supplied. Breakfast was very good with standard choices such as eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. It was well stocked throughout. We particularly enjoyed the coffee that was fresh ground on demand. Our only complaint was that our room was not ready by 3 o’clock. There may have been a shortage of cleaning staff on that particular day. We would stay there again in the future.

My request for a room change just after checking in was addressed after a brief conversation. Also, staff were very responsive to our complaint of a barking dog alone in a room at 9:30 at night. Who would do that? The breakfast items were typical (5:10), not special. Staff kept the busy dining area spic and span. 👍👍 Other observations: The bathrooms were a very odd shape- can’t close the door if sitting on the toilet. But the shower was lovey and hot after a long tiring day. Toilet paper holder in barely reachable location. All in all we would return.

Didn't use the breakfast bar this visit but it has been good in the past. The hotel is located near restaurants and shopping and good access to the interstate. A safe area and good parking. Downsides were the wi-fi was atrocious, kept getting knocked off-line. Other thing was that the traffic noise was very loud (I was on the York Rd side of the hotel and on the 7th floor. I got earplugs from the desk and that helped.

Room was clean. Everything worked fine and beds were comfortable. Only downside was the rude people who were slamming doors after midnight.

Staff are excellent, rooms comfy and clean, fridge and microwave in each room. We hv stayed here a number of times, and hv always had a positive experience. The prices in the little store for water, snacks, etc., are cheaper than what you'd pay at a regular store! We will be back again!

First floor rooms are noisy. No thermastat in room, only old school warm/cold fan. Did not allow check in at 2:45 had to wait until 3pm exactly.

This property reeks of cigarette smoke. We have allergies. I called Expedia to see what to do. Expedia called the hotel. Then the front desk called me to yell at me about going behind their back. I was like what are you going to do? Offer me an air freshener. Cool, more irritation of my nose. After telling me I could leave and that they would approve a refund, management then turned around and denied the refund to Expedia. Disgusting.

Breakfast was ok. Coffee not too nice. Pancake machine not working. Nice yogurt. Fresh apples and nice bananas. Plenty bread and muffins. Plenty hard boiled eggs and cereal. Hot eggs and potato was dried out. Rooms spotless. No signs of mold. Friendly front desk staff. Handy location

Our review deals mainly with the condition of the room itself, which is very small, more like a cabin on a cruise ship than a hotel room. The bathroom is so small that the BR door, which opens inward, misses hitting the counter by less than an inch. The hot water ran out for a half day during our stay; the BR has no fan; the hair conditioner pump did not work; the TP dispenser is so far from the toilet that only someone with long arms can reach it; and the very slippery, hazardous tub has a grab bar at the opposite end from the shower head, making it a gymnastics maneuver to grab the bar and to shower at the same time. Closet space is inadequate, and there is little floor space to set up the suitcase holder.

That evening, the night front desk attendant told us we could not use the tables in the public area/ breakfast area after 12am and had to leave the area. The front desk agent was very abrupt. There were no posted signs indicating allowed times of use for that area. The next morning the water was hot but when I went to apply “conditioner” from prefilled “Dove” bottle, it foamed up indicating it was refilled with either body wash or shampoo. This tells me that either they are not refilling with the same products or the attendant was not paying attention. This makes me wonder if they are in fact “Dove” products. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and all of the people in our group woke up with back pain and stiffness. We come to the area every year for a festival at the Fairgrounds. Unfortunately this is the last time we will be staying in this hotel.

It way ok, the beds were terrible, hard and I could feel the springs. We didn’t have hot water the first morning, but it was resolved by the evening. Staff was nice, except for being told we couldn’t hang out in the table area after 1230 as it “had to be closed down”. Coffee was amazing! 10/10 on the coffee.

The Holiday Inn express in Hunt Valley is basically to me a business hotel. It’s not a place to go for a vacation, but it’s very clean and probably the most affordable hotel in the Hunt Valley area. The hotel is clean, the staff is very efficient, which is all you need for a hotel.

Location was perfect. Close enough to Baltimore but away from crazy traffic. This place is a gem!

Location was great and breakfast food needs to be able to stay hot or put out microwave all in all it was okay.

After we removed the cone which by the way is illegal, our 2 front tires were punctured by the individual(s) that owned the damn cone. After the expense and a police report of 2 tires we had to ask hotel management for a copy of the surveillance camera tape...

Selected a king room with a pullout sofa bed but there was not enough room to fold out the bed. Tried rearranging the sofabed, end table and coffee table but the room was too small.

HOWEVER, the room was very small; it seemed like an architect was given a challenge to utilize a storage space as a room. We were there when it was very cold and the lobby lacked sufficient heating. The clerk said it was because the double doors kept opening and closing. [She was wearing a "puffer" ski coat to stay warm.] Breakfast was bland. We ate at First Watch in the next door shopping center.

The traffic noise was loud and relentless the entire afternoon and into the early morning in my room facing York Avenue. When I arrived in the room for the first time, the window was open. I closed it to find that the room had an odd odor.

There was a urine smell in the carpeting on The second floor where we were staying. All night long marijuana smell from back parking lot filtered into the room from outside vent. Bed was nice and room was clean. Breakfast was good but potatoes were cold and they ran out of ketchup.

Location was good for the need It felt small. Kind of like I was in NYC. The corridor to the elevator was weirdly tight and the ceiling in the room must've been < 8 feet. The door to the bathroom cleared the vanity by about 1 micron. Also, it took in unacceptably long time to check in. The lady before me was being difficult, which accounted for some of it, but there was also too much paperwork to fill out. I can't remember the last time I've been asked for the tag number of my car. The 1980s is calling and wants their pen back.

Breakfast was good, however, was only rated at #8 compared to other hotels. The lobby ladies bathroom to be cleaner. The bathroom set up with toilet paper holder behind the door. Couldn't open refill container to alert staff that soap needed to be changed.

Room was as described. Hannah at the front desk was wonderful with reception and answering questions. The garage was a huge help to keep my car snow free. Breakfast was wonderful. Would stay here every time in in the Baltimore area.

Noisy hotel on Thanksgiving weekend. Thin walls. Staff not very helpful or friendly just adequate service when required. Room was smaller than typical but comfortable enough for a short stay. Clean. Breakfast was better than normal in a hotel like this one. Location was close to Towson and easy to reach downtown. For the low price it was a good stay.

Staff was very nice. Rooms are old, out dated mirror was rusty, headboard peeling. Also very noisy with cars blasting by all through the night. Great staff fascility is out dated

The room was compact, but all we needed. It was clean with a very comfortable bed and a nice shower. The breakfast was good. (Excellent bacon!) 24/7 freshly ground coffee brewed by their great automated machine. We would stay there again, but next time ask for a room on the back side so that you don't hear the traffic on York Rd. We were out at an event until late, so that was not a problem for us this time. It is a convenient location.

Staff was curteous. Room had a lot to be desired. Sink was cracked and had been "patched". Mirror, robe hook and tp holder were all installed crooked. Mirror had something splashed on the frame that permanently stained it. The mattresses were hard. No sink soap. Rooms felt nice and clean otherwise. Staff and manager were wonderful!

Decent Hotel.

This is a fine place to stay for the night. The room was small but had the basic amenities. The heater was a little annoying - no temp control just heat or cool, high or low, so the room temp was never quite right. I appreciated the hot breakfast buffet that is included. The hotel seemed safe and the staff was nice. Not luxurious but good enough for a nights stay on the way to someplace else and a great deal for the price.

The Front Desk Staff, one gentleman in particular, with a clean-shaven head. I didn't get his name. He was of either Middle Eastern or Indian descent. Very Knowledgeable and helpful. He and one of the women at the front knew how to handle questions in a simple, courteous fashion. The Motel was in better shape than some of the reviews indicated. I'd give a 9 out of 10!!!!!

Very well priced and free breakfast and gym. Gym is very basic so if you base your hotel around an amenity like this - you may be disappointed. Avg tread and elitipixal but a few lighter dumbbells can do the trick. Use the AC! Trust me. Brekie is good. Very friendly. Can’t beat the rate

Had a nice and easy stay here. Ample parking, very close to a variety of shopping and food. Clean and quiet so what more can you ask for?

Shortcomings: the lighting in the room was limited and the desk light didn't work at all. The surface of the bathtub had no adhesives, a potential safety issue. Maid service also did not bring towels. Overall, a decent place to stay but I feel management needs to pay a little more attention to details.

The only reason they got a three star is because the front desk gentleman was so nice and sweet and professional and checked in on me every time i came and went. The facility is so old that you can hear water running thru the walls. I could not sleep to save my life. The pillows were too soft that i had to stack four pillows just to get some stiffness. The bathroom was so small i couldn’t come in without squeezing to the sink and closing the door. The tissue holder was across the wall so i couldn’t use it. i had to use the spare roll. The halls smelled of weed. The noise was terrible all night. I only stayed a night but glad i didn’t book any longer.

SUPER NOISY. People coming in at all hours of the night, slamming doors, loud truck engines running. And it's right on a very busy road, so no sleep. The rolls were good, but the pictures with bacon are a lie! No bacon.

The desk clerk Maddie was extremely pleasant. She was very patient with us after we had a very long, stressful day. She definitely put a smile on our face! All of the staff that we interacted with were very professional and polite. What we didn’t like: The bathroom tub was extremely slippery, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so when you took a shower the mirrors were fogged with condensation as was just about everything else in the room, and when you stepped inside the bathroom you had to squeeze in to close the door. It was a very tight fit.

Holiday inn didn’t honor my senior or military discount. Room was very , bathroom was very clean 👍.

The worst place to stay. There were bed bugs in the room. We went to let them know that we wanted to get our money back and leave the hotel. The manger said that we were trying to blackmail him. We have pictures of the bed bugs and he didn’t care. There were bugs in the hallway. Definitely would Never recommend that hotel. Disgusting

Sofa bed was too close to the bed to open. Man who worked the overnight was kind of rude and stated he had "lived with service dogs" but was absolutely not at all knowledgeable about them.

Room was very small with a king size bed, no room to put your suitcase without tripping over it. Only 2 hangers in the closet. I've stayed in other IHG hotels in the pass, none had, rooms as small as this one was. A little disappointed.

Kuerig did not work. Shower was cold water. Took me over 20 minutes to get the shower a little warm enough to get a quick rinse.

I've stayed at this facility many times and the hotel never disappoints. It's always clean, bed is always comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is decent and the location is perfect.

Stay was fine, but 2 pillows smelled like sweat. I prefer the bathroom in room #306 to this one. No other complaints and really this place is pretty dang good.

A quick needed stay for my child and myself. The king bed room was good for us. It was a little bit small of a room, but it was clean. It worked great for what we needed. The staff was excellent!

I’m in a wheelchair and my room was so small that I had to go in the room backwards to get to my side of the bed! The bathroom room was plenty big enough for the wheelchair but that’s all that was accommodating. The shower was walk in. The handicap seat was at one end of the shower while the shower head and controls were at the other! You cannot reach either while sitting on the handicap bench! Luckily I brought my own shower seat. But when I was in my shower seat, the soap dispenser was behind my head!!! No more bars of soap!! You have to be a contortionist to make this work!! The mirrors above the sink were a joke! They were so high that they were useless! You could only see the top of your head!! And I’m 6’2”!! Next is the mattress. It felt as if you were lying directly on coils!! The absolute worst mattress I ever slept on! When I laid on the bed, the foot of the mattress was actually higher than where your body laid!! I ask Rachael ( who was very nice), at the front desk, if there was another room available with a better quality mattress and was told none was available. Three nights of torture!!!! I was stuck!! I had already paid for the room. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Quality beds & clean quiet room!

The elevator was loud, slow and apparently breaks down a lot, according to several people who were regular guests or staying longer term. The "garage" was sketchy, poorly lit, open to the woods, and frequented by thankfully benign potheads. It felt unsafe. The mandatory $45 charge for incidentals upon checking in is frankly ridiculous; why should you have use of my money even for a few days? The ads are misleading, implying that there's a restaurant on the premises; there isn't. The soundproofing is terrible; you can hear the neighbors' television and conversations all night, even with the fan on for white noise. And something in the cluster of cabinets which holds the TV, microwave and fridge makes a loud clunking, tapping noise every 20 minutes. The Showtime channels were nice, though, and the bed was comfortable.

Our stay was exactly what you would expect from a hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, Rooms are neat and very modern, the breakfast was good and healthy, and the parking lot was well lite at night.

The staff was second to none!

I stayed in a room at the front of the building where there is a flagpole. The night of Thurs. March 20th to Fri. March 21 was windy. The ropes and pullys used to raise the flag were clanking in the wind. It was so noisy I was unable to sleep between 1:30 and 5:30. At 4:30 I went to the front desk and got ear plugs which helped a little. At 5:30 I found a "White noise" app covered the sound of the flagpolse and I was finally able to sleep between 5:30 and 7:30 AM.

I was very disappointed with this property. Our room was small, but clean. However, there were thinks, clangs, screeched, and buzzes all night long. We were awakened so many times through the night by all these noises. It was very frustrating.
