Excellent stay experience

Price was great so it was acceptable that it wasn’t perfectly clean. Not the best area (especially at night), 15-20 min walk to restaurants.

Very comfortable stay. Bunk beds were all full-sized mattresses in the room I stayed in, which was a bonus I had never seen. The bathroom was clean. Lockers were available for use but I did not see any locks, just so you know - maybe bring your own padlock if you want to use one. The location was convenient for me. Staff were friendly and allowed me to check in later in the evening with no issues. I would absolutely stay here again.

Takes about half an hour to 40 minutes to walk to CBD (downtown). Only issue is there's just two bathrooms for whole hostel and the shower and toilet in the same. Also not a fan of getting sent codes for doors would prefer a key or card.

Clean, welcoming, good vibes, pkeanty of information, nice kitchen with complementary coffee, clever decorations, safe, outside patio is nice. For the money paid, it is a really cool place. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wanderatay is well located for walking to the museums and there are a few decent local food and drink places but it is also very close to the freeway and has no A/C, which can make for a difficult night's sleep. Noting that free earbuds are provided.

2. When I stayed, the room was too cold on the first night and too hot on the second night. You are not allowed to change the setting. Good luck! 3. It is clean and cheap. Hope you get good roommates!

Everyone there was super cool and the woman’s dorm was really comfortable. Super helpful to have 2 showers in there!

I booked a private room with one twin bed and really enjoyed my stay. Great amenities, clean facilities, comfortable. Price was very affordable.

The hostel in at central area ,convenient for food and some activities. However, there are only 2 bathrooms for the entire hostel, toilet paper was not provided enough for a day. There are cameras everywhere, so feel like being always watched.

The area is fine with some really nice places nearby to eat. Hostel is what you expect. Customer service is exceptionally poor, issues have been raised to management so will not post here, I am sure they will eventually bother respond to my email (highly unlikely though)

Excellent place. Super duper clean, large beds, in a very uber able/walk able area. I really enjoyed my stay here. It was very cozy and quaint and the price per night was a steal!

I am very unhappy they did not allow me to check in after hours. They had a sign saying to call a number to check in no one answered. I had to drive back home in the middle of the night because I could not stay they did not even open the door.

Great price and friendly staff, and there’s a cafe around for quick breakfast. just remember to bring your own toiletries (shampoo etc)

Alejandra, the front desk host at the time of my stay was super helpful. I am from California so she made my stay very helpful by providing tons of information like nearby transportation, nearby restaurant's, and banks. I truly appreciated the time and patience she provided for me. If I were to travel back to Texas, I would definitely come back to the Wanderstay. Thank you.

Cleanliness is the number one thing I look for and they passed the test. Check-in and check-out was smooth with no problems. I was able to park my rental on the property for a great daily price. The location was perfect for the sightseer like me. This was my first time in Houston, so I was concern with that. However, it all worked out perfect. Whenever I am in Houston again, I will stay here.

car was broken into window busted along with 2 cars parked behind me who were also guests here.....and previous stay here my car was parked in front of Wanderstay and the petty parking police ticketed me for being parked RIGHT IN FRONT supposedly too close to stop sign at the corner...

Good room and house. Easy access to public transit. Only complaint is room only has one outlet at the opposite end of room from where the bed is. Ended up buying an extension cord so phone could be plugged in and used as alarm clock.

It was a great stay, would book again for the future. We mainly go to Houston for an Astros game, and this place was about 10 minutes from the stadium and many restraints. We felt safe because of the locks around the house, also it was very clean.

Hostel was very clean would definitely stay again. walking distance to the turkeyleg hut and bar 5015. If you looking for vegan options grapeseed and vegan soufood are options that are close by.. Public transportation is also walking distance from the hostel.

Ultimately, I couldn’t stay here. Multiple attempts to reach someone about the gated parking were ignored. Because I’m in a rental car that I am responsible for any damages it may incur, I had to find a hotel. Needless to say, the service is non-existent, the neighborhood is sketchy and the business model has some real liability issues.

Unique cool hostel! I was lucky to be there when the owner was there and she was AMAZING. I love this place- it's so cute and different. I paid a very good price for a private room and they have a full sized kitchen. I will come back for sure.

Great place to stay. Cleanest hostel I've been to. Very Comfortable pillows and bed and very kind staff. It is located in the middle of downtown and midtown so it made calling a uber very easy. Will stay here again.

The hostel is fine, the rooms clean and the personal pleasant, but the place is poorly equipped in maps: good maps of the city, the train or the bus, and the personal is absolutely of no help in that register. The answer is always: "I don't know. I can not help you with this". Friendly but unhelpful. This is the worst situation I have encountered in an hostel or hotel for that matter. Usually the personal is well informed, has maps available, can advise you on what to see. The most I got is for them to tell me the direction of the museum district, and that was a huge feat. They couldn't even put Chartres St (the street of the hostel) on a map. Don't be also deluded by their free breakfast. It is just a box of pancake mix and a box of oatmeal, and do it yourself. A city to go with good maps on your phone. I had none. Once you have seen the museum district, there is no reason to repeat a stay in that place.

Great stay. Friendly staff. Big beds. Small breakfast provided. Waffles tea pancakes. Good security system with plenty of locks and different codes. Bathrooms very clean.

It was a good stay. The building is clean and there is a kitchen available for use by any guest. The only issue I had was that there was no outlets available for the top bunk to charge their phone. It could be an issue for people using their phone for their alarm.

The hostel webpage cannot be opened when I checked the night before the deadline of cancellation. When I called later early in the morning, 9am, they refused to refund me with the cancellation. It is not reasonable at all.

I checked in quickly, although there was a problem with entering my assigned room since the door code was changed and the staff left. Later, I was given the code to a new room next door. While it wasn’t my best choice, I still appreciated the service and amenities offered at Wanderstay.

It close so early... before 6 pm, if I would like to check in at reception, no water dispenser, and fire explanation when check out... the breakfast was self-service, we can make pancake from mixing with water.. no fruit in the photo was there

The stay was comfortable and safe as expected. The only thing lacking was the options for breakfast as well as instructions on how to prepare food.

The lowest-priced stay in Houston was up to its expectations as stated and it was a very clean stay! Would recommend to anyone who visits Houston!
