The room was very clean except for some very noticeable rust stains on the bottom right side of the toilet and the tub. The bed was very comfortable and it was very relaxing to lay there and watch the big TV. The big bath towel was super soft and that was so nice. Unfortunately, the breakfast ended at 9:00 am and that was too early by the time we got ready for the day and were able to get out of the room. If it could be served until 10 am I think that would be more accommodating to more people because it is a wonderful perk to be able to get something to eat before you hit the road. The only thing that was bad was seeing those very bright rust stains on the toilet that made you feel it might not be as clean as it should be even though it probably was.

It was clean and quiet and the staff was very nice When you open the door first thing you notice is the air conditioner is not on It was musty smelling and that to me is due to the air conditioner not running and being down in Houston with the humidity levels they are wouldn't surprise me if there's not mowed or black mold growing within the walls since they don't run their air conditioners all the time that's the biggest complaint I had One other thing I didn't really care for was they assume since you just stayed one night you don't need your room cleaned you have never experienced that before. There was also one bedside light that was broken non-functional so you had to unscrew the bulb to turn the light off and then screw it back on if you wanted the light to be back on which is very inconvenient and to me dangerous and I'm sure it's been addressed many many times but they just don't go in and it to me appeared that the switch itself needed be replaced maybe a 30 minute repair job $2 switch cost. Again the biggest problem is they don't have their air conditioners on and it smelled very very musty.

Shower was broken and had to call twice to get it fixed. Front door leaked when it rained and Janine at the front desk was unhelpful stating it's an exterior door that's to be expected. When checking out she got confrontational and refused to print a receipt. Just over all not a good stay.

I loved the fact that the room was clean and completely ready for my stay yet it had a homey feel. The only problem was the TV it never worked so I had to use my tablet to watch movies

Great stay and the check in clerk was awesome. Very respectful and kind. Room was a hotel room lol. But clean and good to go. Only draw back on the room is the pillows. Seems you get half the pillow size now! But you get 3 so... still will work. The other draw back is the comp breakfast.... i dont think you can call it that with 2 yougurts and some granola. Was bummed there but they also have room service (like door dash but only a 1.50 charge for delivery) and its basically a Dennys. Would for sure stay again.

I had a check-in time of 3 pm and I reached after 4 pm and even then they made us to wait for 45 minutes which felt strange. I can understand if it was 15-30 mins but this was not a good experience at all. For complimentary breakfast they did not have bread, milk or eggs either and it was just coffee and some snack.

Bed was too soft and the pillows too hard. ** charge error I was charged $74.24 by Expedia, then I was charged a total of $70 at Super 8. ** How do I get a refund?

No elevators so if you have luggage you need to lug it all upstairs. Iy took them 2+ hours to get our wifi working.Their free "breakfast" consisted of Quaker oat packs, yogurt, tea, coffee, kids fruit cups, and granola.

The room was beyond our expectation for a Super 8. By far the nicest we have ever stayed. Room was clean and the bathroom was updated with a nice walk in shower. Front staff was friendly upon arrival and checkout.

I did the whole online check in in advance just to have to redo everything in person upon arrival at the hotel. The guy was friendly and did his job well but it is so silly to have to waste time doing everything twice. They also have a sign on the wall that has changed the check in time from 3 to 4 but that is not what the contract you sign says.

Note: Close access to freeway; however, rush hour can make it difficult to turn on the frontage road. The complimentary breakfast is very minimal (but still nice to have). If you are seeking a bit more to fill up on, plan on making arrangements for breakfast elsewhere.

The staff was great, however they told us we would need to get a staff member anytime we wanted to get into our room because they were out of keys! No joke we would need to go to the front desk and get them to open the door! We did not stay.

They ran out of room keys. So I was told I couldn’t have a key. If I wanted to leave I’d have to have someone at the desk let me back in with a master key. I didn’t feel comfortable there

I was travelling with my Parents. The property is conveniently located near Houston Space Center, other tourist Spot, lot of eatery options nearby. I liked the location, rooms are good for a short stay.

Requires a deposit - that i guess is negotiable? At any rate i dont like having to give an up to $100 deposit

No hair dryer or iron in the room and shower drain was clogged. At night we smelled the cigar smoke from the other smokers and it got through the A/C

Well my room key didn't work the first time I went to the room so I went back and got another one it didn't work either so management had to use an actual metal key to let me in the room and told me that I couldn't leave or anything or I'd have to leave my room open because the battery was dead in the door and I couldn't use my card to go in and out so I was stuck there

Key did not work for my room. Staff couldn't get it to work. Asked if i needed to leave amd come back to go to office so they could let me back in

spring popping in bed every time I rolled over. There was a roach in the bathroom. And the hotel charged my credit card even though I paid through expedia. And why have online check in and then go through all the motions when I arrived at the front desk, I was just supposed to pick up my keys, at least that's what the online form told me.

Got reservation for 2 days and never clean my room .. when I ask to the front desk, the told in order to get my room clean I need a 3 day reservation… so no clean towels no clean room… to bad never again

Very nice stay. Inside of room are very nice and clean. Not crazy about the pet friendly part. You can definitely tell animals are in and out. Outside the rooms smell a bit to pet friendly.

The staff manager he was a male he was excellent and very customer service friendly. Very knowledgeable with his answers to the questions we had. Quick check in and check out. Only downside no pool as shown in pics.

The lady with the red hair at the front desk is terrible bad customer service skills very rude for no reason at all. Everyone else no problem but with her just unprofessional.

I love how clean the rooms are, this is very important to me. Just wish they would leave a water bottle even if it's a small one but other than that it's all good. Aaand there's a gas station next door so I guess it's not that bad.

Room smelt mike mildew really bad, beds didnt even have a fitted sheet on the, had no pool even though it says it does and shows a nice pool in the pictures. Was suppose to have a continental breakfast and we went down there and they had orange juice and a pan cake maker and that was it!! No cerual, bread for toast or anything!! If known had no breakfast and no pool we would not have booked at this place.

A little wait when check-in. On the app it shows check in time was 3 pm but I saw on the counter check in time is 4 pm. We arrive at 4 pm so no problem but they should fix it on the app if it’s not 3 pm. Breakfast was not good not bad but the pancake machine was broken which is my favorite dish for breakfast. Overall, every thing was great.

We stayed there for our trip to the Houston Space Center. The rooms were way nicer than I expected. The staff that checked us in were very friendly. The room was clean. I really liked the big pictures of space scenes hung over the bed.

Check in was slow. Didn’t have the room I had booked so I had to get one upstairs. Unexpected $100 hold on my card in addition to the room charge. Washing machine/dryer was not working. Breakfast was not good. Very few items to chose from. The room itself was great. Super clean and comfortable. Slept well.

Loved the space-themed, but the paintings as the "headboards" were showing wear on them. Sadly, both of our showers/tubs had the same issue...we dealt with it but both of them were too hot when at the right pressure and even if it was a lighter pressure it was still too hot. Both my dad and I had issues with it and my special needs young adult daughter wouldn't even bathe due to those issues. Also, the breakfast was very meh; no butter... One last down note- no pool. Even the email I got mentioned a pool (it also mentioned no breakfast due to covid), so please update those things, cause my son and I were hoping to swim some.

Very small and uncomfortable room. The bathroom was difficult to enter. It said breakfast included but it didn’t had anything for breakfast. No wonder not a single person was there for the breakfast. I don’t think I will stay here again.

there was a very nice man who checked us in and helped us through out our stay. the breakfast was good and simple but the lady working it that day wasnt very nice. other than that the beds are comfy , the room is clean, and the tv had direct tv and tubi that worked

Basically the only thing available is the pancake and it comes with a bad smell. No other hot food, end up eating McDonald’s for the first time in our 8 days trip.

The girl at the front desk of the hotel is very nice. She worked on it for several hours and I was already tired and sleepy. Because Hotels.com sent the wrong email address to Best Western Gateway to the Keys. The waiter searched for a long time but couldn't find my name. Forced the waitress to cancel the online order and pay again at Best Western Gateway to the Keys. And I haven’t received a refund text message or email yet. Very disappointing.

The hotel advertised breakfast was included. However in reality it was just coffee. I asked about it at the front desk and she said it was a simple breakfast of juice and coffee. Since the juice machine had an out of order sign on it we only had coffee. I don't think that should be considered breakfast.

If you’re on a budget this was a good place to stay for a short getaway. Staff was super friendly, and rooms were nice. The only reason I gave a couple of low marks was because upon entering our room during check in we found a cockroach in our room. It was the only one during our stay, but it had us searching the rest of the room to make sure there weren’t any others

All breakfast were gone before 8:00AM although we paid for it.

We were told the reservation had breakfast. But there was none all there was some pancake maker and some juices, rooms and washroom had a strong odor.. beds and pillows were uncomfortable. I would not stay again here!

Worst breakfast I ever had. Some oat packets but no milk. No corn flakes, no fruits. Absolutely nothing.

Most people place a lot of emphasis on the physical amenities of where they stay. One thing you should not overlook is customer service and how well you will be treated once you are at your destination. My wife and I had to leave unexpectedly due to a family emergency and we left personal items behind like cell phones and some travel bags etc. Super 8 was nice enough to locate and return our items. That is what makes them Super.

Place was kept up, room was extremely clean and smelled clean. Extremely convenient travel to attend my weekend plans. Desk manager was very pleasant and knowledgeable to have a conversation with. Would definitely stay here again.
