Clean room. Lobby was hot. Check in took time. First employee handed it over to the next guy to check us in while there was plenty of time for her to do it. Had to sit down in lobby for him to check us in while she left her shift.

I liked that free breakfast was available. McDonald's, Whataburger, Subway, and a gas station convenience store are in walking distance, as is the red line Metro station at Moody Park. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The eggs were edible, but not the best.

Perfect location to event we were attending. Noticed several baby roaches. Never saw any grown ones, but definitely like 5 babies all in the bathroom. Plus side no bed bugs.

The hotel and rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The only downside was that there was a notice damp carpet smell throug the hotel room. Because of that we didn’t try the breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Other than the odor, the cleanliness and excellent customer service were appreciated.

Staff is nice and parking was easy to access.

The breakfast variety was good, but the taste of eggs left something to be desired. However, the fact that we even got a free breakfast was great! There's nothing I can think of that we didn't like, actually.

The property was hot. The AC in the room was working when we got there but at night it was blowing hot air. The breakfast could have been better. The tv didn’t work. When we tried to check out the guy at the front desk was gone. Another worker called him and put him on speaker phone. I was telling him we wanted to check out , he said he wouldn’t be back at the hotel for another 30 to 45 minutes but we had to get on the road and to just leave our room number and email address and he would email the receipt. When I got home that evening to check my credit card account I had been charged twice for one night. I called Lewis said the first charge was for no call no show. I said we were there 2 hours before check in and was told to come back at 3 that doesn’t make sense. He said one of the charges should drop the following day. I woke up to check my credit card account again and I had been charged a third time. I called again and was told I had to wait till Monday after 9 for the manager to help. I will never stay at this property again.

Just far enough but close enough to down town that it was a 10 minute Uber drive to the ballpark. Our bed a lingering smell of mildew. How shower head would not stay on the holder and the television cord was not connected . The staff came quickly to fix, however then the remote had to be inches from the TV to work. We were not there that long therefore I didn’t bring these things up to staff.

It’s right outside of downtown. I got there from my concert venue in just a few minutes. Staff were kind but seemed busy completing other tasks, it felt like I was a bother to them. My card didn’t work in my door, had to get reset. No free water or coffee. Entire building smells like mildew and mold. Neighborhood behind hotel is notorious for car theft and break ins.

We checked into our room and everything was okay until we tried turning on the tv and I went to use the restroom. The tv remote didn’t work but that was the least of our problems. When I got up from the toilet I stepped in pee that was in front of the toilet. It wasn’t a little bit either as there was an entire puddle. I immediately hopped in the shower and when to the front desk to get our room changed. The attendant apologized and asked if I took a picture but I didn’t because I was too pissed to even think of that. We ended up getting our room changed at no charge but a refund or at least partial refund would’ve been greatly appreciated. This was my first time at a sleep inn and will definitely be my last. Going forward I’ll pay the extra $50 for a holiday inn.

The hotel and rooms themselves were nice and clean. The room was large. I just didn't feel like the neighborhood was safe. Just 10 minutes from downtown, and the price was right.

great staff, great location, comfortable, clean.... A++++
- 0.5/5
Due to the lack of cleanliness nothing to like. In my room there was a disgusting used condom on the floor. The only reason I accepted another room was because it was extremely late at night. I would have thought that the hotel would have tried to rectify this issue with some sort of resolution other than a simple room swap. I would never recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and clean and close to downtown. It was good for the weekend and just around the corner from our new favorite Mexican restaurant!
- 4/5
Reasonable accommodation, rather pricey for what it was. Not as clean as it could have been (chairs in room stained/ soiled; multiple items from prior guests left in room: used chapstick, scraps of paper, etc.), bag of trash left in stairwell for the entirety of our 5-night stay. But rooms were spacious, staff were nice, and convenient location.

When we arrived at the property, we were two hours early after an early morning flight. However, the young lady at the desk checked room availability and graciously allowed us to check in. She also gave us suggestions for restaurants and grocery stores. The evening/night managers were okay as well, allowing us to share our experiences at the ballpark (World Baseball Classic games). The breakfast was so-so as there was only one tea selection and there was no yogurt or other healthier options. The a/c worked okay during the day (when we weren’t there too often), but fluctuated during the night (temps rose, then dropped each time it turned on), making it a little uncomfortable at times. The room was clean, though.
- 0.5/5
Our AC unit broke during our 4 day stay on the 2nd night, due to an electrical wiring issue the maintenance stated. Sweated all night in our sleep. Slept very uncomfortably. This was not the Texas experience we were looking forward to.

- 4.5/5
The location was great for the price. Easy to Uber/Lyft to venue and airport. Breakfast was ok, not great. Breakfast could be better - more yogurt choices, some meat.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Beds were so comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Gym could use some free weights
- 5/5
Room was clean. Towels changed out in a timely manner. The breakfast left a lot to be desired.
- 2/5
Staff was very friendly and did their best to resolve issues. Rooms aren’t very clean. We had to change rooms because of a smelly mattress. Breakfast was never ready when breakfast hours started. This can be a problem if you’re trying to eat before catching an early flight.
- 5/5
Stayed one night for a concert. The room was very clean, the staff at check-in was wonderful and told me everything I needed to know. No complaints.

Very clean and spacious, convenient location at a great rate Shower pressure was a little low but other than that no complaints
- 5/5
I like staying at this hotel because of the location, amenities, breakfast, & comfortability of the beds. The location makes it super easy to get anywhere around town & even though it's right off the highway the traffic sounds are very minimal. The beds are really comfortable & I enjoy that a mini fridge, microwave, & coffee machine are in every room. The free breakfast is simple, but really good & the parking lot is secure so I feel safe being parked there.
- 0.5/5
No coffee in room. Checkin staff was incredible. Checkout staff was terrible. Asked for a late checkout - was supposed to be at 12:00 pm, front desk could give me max 12:15 pm - stating "we're full". I don't think this place has been full since it was built in 1971. Checked online and there were still 10+ rooms available.
- 4/5
Recently remodeled nice sitting area in lobby.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast did not seem very fresh, really just the tator tots.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and spotless. We enjoyed our stay. It was convenient and located near some restaurants for a quick meal.
- 4/5
Room had blood stain on a chair and probably on carpet. On sofa there was a puncher hole that was so obvious. Carpet needed steam cleaning, but overall I did have a good night sleep.
- 5/5
Stayed overnight for a concert, it did the job. Room clean, staff onsite and courteous, hotel clean, no issues. Parking good.
- 3/5
Good venue - staff were friendly, just nobody at desk for checkout was a shame.
- 4/5
The room was very clean & staff was polite. We got back late from the Opera & front desk clerk was accommodating & courteous providing us with different dining options in the area. Thank you. I would stay here again.

- 2/5
We did not feel safe at this location. There was a person breaking in the hotel at 1am stealing items and food. The hotel staff was very nice and understanding but we ended up checking out at 1am due to feeling unsafe.
- 3/5
Front desk took a long time to check us in.
- 1/5
Second, there was a major safety breach. Another guest was given a working key to my room and entered while I was inside. This happened because the same employee assigned her my room by mistake. This was extremely upsetting, especially because I was traveling with children. If I had not been in the room, my belongings could have been taken or someone could have been put in danger. Third, the room itself had condition issues. It had a strong odor, the bathroom had visible mold, and there was no exhaust fan which made the smell and humidity worse.
- 5/5
Very clean friendly and courteous would definitely recommend
- 5/5
Yes it was a great room
- 5/5
My state did not start out good. I called to the hotel the day that I was supposed to check in due to I was charged for the day and the person that answered the phone. I guess she was the manager and she didn’t want to hear anything I had to say and hung up on me and was rude. Also, when it came to the breakfast, the breakfast tater tots were hard and cold and there was no options for low-calorie. The bananas were too ripe. You need to get a new manager also she’s very unprofessional.
- 4/5
The room was spotless, the staff courteous
- 1/5
Incredibly rude staff Never book there if you value yourself
- 4/5
Breakfast was not available at 7am. Sausage was overcooked. Room was nice. Location was convenient to downtown.
- 3/5
We did not eat breakfast… The room wasn’t terrible, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable
- 5/5
Great hotel for the price. Excellent location
- 2/5
The bed had a bad order. I asked the staff to change the comforter and sheets. It improved the smell a bit, but not enough. I think several people urinated in the bed.
- 4/5
Breakfast was great, however it would be better if there were a 2nd or 3rd meat option. Room, staff and service were great.
- 5/5
Cold, shower was hot. Front desk was also very super nice appreciate of the breakfast. Waffles, toast eggs, sausage, the whole deal. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, comfortable beds, nice breakfast
- 5/5
Smooth check in, clean room, and close to downtown!
- 2/5
I was booked on a double bed and after the first night, the bathtub was dripping water and they move me to a suite. The suite had one king bed and two sofas. The sofa bed was really uncomfortable and one sofa bed had ugly stains. I woke up with a back pain due to mattress not having cushion. This hotel is a 1 star. I would not recommend stay, I would rather spend a little more and stay in a nicer hotel.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay! Our room was nice and cool when we walked in and stayed that way. Friendly staff!! The only “issue” we had was there were no sheets, blankets or extra pillows for the two pull out beds. When we went to ask for some they only gave us sheets and a mattress protector as a blanket.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Super comfortable
- 5/5
The hotel is nice and was very convenient for our trip. It’s in a good area and easily accessible. The staff were nice and very helpful when needed. Breakfast wasn’t fancy, but was good
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel personal was very nice. We were greeted and wished a goodday. We would definitely book again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay at
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Great place to sleep for the price!
- 2/5
Bed bugs in my room. Woke up extremely itchy with large red bumps all up and down my arm. Looked on the bed and found 2 bedbugs. 1 crawling on the pillow and the other on the sheet. I advised the front desk stayed. She said to send an email to management and they would reach out. Breakfast was VERY limited. Toast, waffles, eggs, sausages and juice. Cereal as well. Fairly quiet area for the most part. No issues with noise. Area isn’t the best but it’s doable for a night or two. Wouldn’t stay here again personally. The bedbugs did it for me.
- 4/5
The Hotel was very nice and clean
- 5/5
Stay was nice, would stay again
- 1/5
The walls had mildew and stains and some were painted over the couch had stains on it floor was stained as well
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 5/5
A very clean comfortable hotel with a non-smoking environment.
- 5/5
Perfect place nearby everywhere… Will be my Point every Houston
- 5/5
I highly recommend the hotel. It was quiet, clean, and the staff we’re friendly
- 3/5
Stayed 2 nights. Basic room served the purpose we needed for.
- 1/5
The first night that we stayed there, my truck got broken into and the person parked next to me got broken into as well later on that week five cars were broken into. Apparently the front office knew about it and they didn’t warn anybody about the break-ins. this feels like it was an inside job And I also have proven videos of all the break-ins. I will never stay here. I will never recommend anyone to stay here.
- 3/5
Everything is well organized. The beds are not very comfortable. Some sheets already have yellow stains. The bathtub was dirty. The location is good for the event we went to the city for one night. I think everything is ok.
- 4/5
Great location. Friendly staff. Reasonable price as well. The 12 noon check out time is also a nice touch.
- 5/5
The rooms were so clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Only stayed for a few hours but the staff and rooms were very nice.
- 3/5
I wasn't expecting much except a comfortable clean room. But the first room we were sent to was clearly not clean, bed unmade, trash overflowing... then it took the young man 5 tries to find a clean room. Clearly there is a management or communication problem here. Our Check-in process took at least 45 minutes, and we were TIRED to begin with. When we finally got a suitable room, it was fine - except for a smell from the AC. Most of these things are expected for the price... but not from my experience with other CHOICE Hotels.
- 3/5
Upon arrival the night shift employee was under the influence and was unable to find our reservation. He ask us the same question 3 times “did you do a lot of driving today?” We answered the same each time. The manager arrived, got us checked in and we had no issues. The property was inconvenient for our needs and not within walking distance. The room was clean and cold. The day worker was very nice and helpful!
- 4/5
It was an easy quick stay. the breakfast was pretty good. It was a nice and clean room, out deposit was misplaced at first but it was sorted out eventually.
- 5/5
Good clean place to stay, loved the fact it is non smoking and stayed true to it. Only downside is not many options to grab a bite close by but would recommend it for a return stay.
- 4/5
My stay overall good
- 2/5
The security they said never came in. Very interesting
- 5/5
Quiet. Loved the free breakfast
- 5/5
Great service, excellent breakfast
- 1/5
This was the worse hotel I stayed in in my entire life..We left our room that morning we arrived back that night and had termites all over our room..They were in our bed..They were all over the floor..They were on our table and even had gotten in our suitcase..Our remote control to our tv didn’t work the entire stay..Our room was at the end of the hallway so we heard the ice machine going off all night..Worst stay ever
- 5/5
Great stay. Close enough to downtown without paying downtown prices. 10 min uber drive. Stayed here for a 2 night concert at Bayou and it was perfect. Fast food and Starbucks nearby. Breakfast was sufficient but nothing great. Room was clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Only reason for the good versus excellent rating, is not the property itself, but just the immediately surrounding area. The property interior and exterior were both great. Very clean and well kept. Staff were excellent. And for the price, you really cannot beat it. Decent hot breakfast, although waffle making was superb. As stated, property is just not in the best area of Town, which Houston, probably b/c of its lack of zoning, is filled with similar areas where you go from one block to the next and the environment changes. But I never felt unsafe there. Still within 2 blocks you are in The Heights (which is beautiful), and are very close to Downtown and the airport. It is right off the freeway (RT 45 I think), but you would never know it when in your room, as very soundproof and they have great light blocking curtains. I would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
It is centrally located. Property is clean and breakfast was better than expected.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 2/5
The room didn't seem like it was cleaned or bedding was swapped out. There was stains on the beds, curtains and shower door. The toilet paper was not replaced and had to request more and new bedding
- 5/5
My boyfriend and I had an event we were attending at the Rockefeller and wanted to stay somewhere close. This ended up being a wonderful place. Very friendly customer service when checking in. Very clean room. My boyfriend loved the complimentary breakfast. Texas shaped waffles! Lol If and when we need a hotel in that area, we'll definitely revisit this place.
- 3/5
It was very nice and a cool room, BUT we seen some little roaches m.
- 5/5
good property to stay, stayed about a week and was satisfying
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at Sleep Inn. There were two towels in the bathroom. My wife could have used an extra towel for her hair.
- 5/5
Nice.will stay again
- 3/5
Overall the stay was good, especially for the price we paid. So I can't really complain.
- 4/5
The daily breakfast had a nice variety, the room was clean, had a big mirrored-door closet, the mini-fridge was large which was great because I got groceries for the week at the Kroger down the street, & the bed was very comfortable. I also had a beautiful view of the cute neighborhood from the 3rd floor. I was also SO grateful to be able to take a bath almost every day in the bathtub to relax! Pro-Tip: The lil travel shampoo bottles the give you work great to make a nice soapy bubble bath! Overall I'd say 4.5 outta 5!
- 5/5
Clean room, good breakfast with certain stores walking distance.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Was great location for activities downtown!
- 4/5
Advertised breakfast but only had bananas, some sliced bread, two kinds of cereal and some small yogurt cups.
- 5/5
the staff was top notch, the hotel clean and quiet, and really a nice property - much better than I expected given the area of town. truly a hidden gem
- 4/5
Very nice and affordable hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't anything to get excited about, but just ok.
- 1/5
The first room I checked into, the mattress was stained and smelled like cat pee. The room they moved me to after I complained smelled like cigarettes, which gave me a headache and I slept like crap.
- 5/5
Quiet it was
- 1/5
Room 203. The AC did not work even though it was January the outside temperature was warmer than normal it was HOT inside the room. Inside room temperature would not go below 73. The shower had ZERO water pressure and minimal hot water. The worst Choice Stay I have experienced. The room and hotel was clean the breakfast was limited, a rate of 3 out of 5. During check out I suggested they may need to have the AC checked, the attendant said”Okay you’re good to go”. We will not be back to this location!!!
- 5/5
Good value
- 3/5
The service was good but my car was broken into in the front of the hotel under a bright light and had to get ano6her window installed.

- 5/5

I thought it was safe l, but no our truck got stolen and manager never showed up to show camaras. Resectionist could show camaras worths experience ever
- 2/5
I reserved a suite (at an higher price) and an accessible room and upon arrival I was told none of this was in their system. When I showed the receptionist my hotels.com reservation she accused me of taking a screen shot. ??? They ended up putting us in an accessible room and a suite not because they agreed I had this type of reservation but because I kept griping about it until she did. I also had trouble upon arrival locating the credit card with which I had fully prepaid the reservation. (It was behind another card in my wallet and I didn’t see it at first.) She initially acted like she wasn’t going to let me check in even though I had fully prepaid, offered ID, and offered a different credit card if she needed it for incidentals. In short, checkin was a nightmare.
- 5/5
I did not like that the bedsheet cover was very thin so if we increased the temperature due avoid being cold it then became humid in the room. We did not get replacement towels during our stay; thankfully we had our own. The front sliding door did not work and staff would ask that clients close it after exiting premises. Breakfast was convenient and had the usual food choices from other hotels. Staff was friendly and quick to answer questions.
- 5/5

- 5/5
All of the above
- 3/5
The room was not clean. Dirty towels left in the room upon arrival. Breakfast was gross. Area is sketchy.
- 5/5
Wonderful place that accommodates labor and construction—-that only has one washer and dryer.. very difficult. And no change is available from the front
- 4/5
Welcoming staff. Comfortable room. Quite neighborhood. Would recommend.
- 5/5
Nice stay!
- 4/5
Very quite
- 5/5
Neat and clean room. Breakfast was basic, else all good
- 1/5
I called before our trip and there was no mention that this hotel was closed. I called two diff times, 2 diff numbers. Hotels.com needs to do a better job, the last hotel I stayed at had construction all on the bottom floor, you couldn’t work out, eat or anything bc it was all gutted. I wouldn’t have stayed there had I known. Plus had to pay regular prices for not even the full service of the hotel.
- 4/5
I would have give a 5-star rating but for the complimentary Breakfast service. We came down at 9:25 AM on Sunday morning and there was practically nothing in the Breakfast area even though Breakfast on weekends was till 10 AM. On enquiry, the personnel said we have a limited supply for a day and if it runs out we are done for the day.
- 5/5
Excellent staff. Clean and cool room.
- 2/5
The lady who checked me in wasn’t the nicest person. Then she went digging in a drawer and found the key card at the very back of the drawer instead of giving me one from a pile of cards like other hotels do. At 1:40am we got woken up to someone opening the locked door to our room. But because I had put the latch up they couldn’t open it any further. They did try though, they banged the door on that latch over and over again trying very hard to get in my room. I’m not sure what kind of shady stuff is going on there but I definitely will not be staying there again.
- 5/5
Place is always clean and staff is extremely friendly
- 5/5
Found a dirty sock by night stand near headboard. Trash outside was overflowing by entrance.

A guy was left by himself for his first day when we checked in, and he tried but was not trained so he couldnt get our key to work. 3 tries before we could get in the room. The bathroom tub and floor had an orange sticky substance all over. Only 2 sheets on the bed and no comforter. We had a reservation for 4 but there was no bedding for the pull out, so two more trips down b/c we were given no sheets on the first trip down. For breakfast the next morning, got down at 9:30 and breakfast ends at 10. There was nothing left other than bread and we were told they stop putting things out 30 minutes before it closes. Went to talk to a manager and we were told we could not but could call on Monday to speak with him. Overall a poor experience. This place was highly rated but I cannot see how.

The first room had unclean linens and the second room had bed bugs. I got bit and had to go to the hospital and the hotel management didn’t care at all. And ended up making me leave because I complained.

Nice, clean hotel…. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest, but other than that it was a great value for the money…

The employees seem uninterested in their jobs- no coffee cups at breakfast and had to ask them to find some. Cleaned room and did not give washcloths or restock coffee (and no cups). Front desk tried to charge my card upon departure for more than double the room rate and then denied it.

The comforter or blanket on the bed was nothing more than a sheet, really. It felt like I was sleeping with nothing covering me, and I very much prefer a blanket to snuggle under. I put a couple bath towels over top of me, but the sheet was slippery so they didn't stay. Really would have like to have a blanket. This is the first time I've ever stayed in a hotel and didn't have a blanket at all. Very disappointing.

This room was spacious, clean, & was easy to get to. The only bad part is the surrounding neighborhood could use a little TLC. Further there really aren't any restaurants close by. However, do NOT take this as being unsafe or bad. More along the lines of not real convenient is all. Because of a flight cancelation I had to book another room. The person working the front desk was AWESOME ! & knew exactly what I was looking for. This second room was smaller(1 queen bed instead of 2 ). than the first, but still quite spacious. Depending on the occasion I would for sure stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay Sleep Inn !

Great stay, but the breakfast lacked a lot of regular items, such as bread or bagels.
