I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms; very clean.

The check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and smelled good. The grounds are very well maintained.

This was a very nice hotel that was totally renovated, the bathroom was neet well finished and really nice towels (I'm a towels nerd), my only complaint would be there's no door to the bathroom so I shower late and the noise bothered my wife. I would definitely stay here again.

Overnight…hotel and staff very nice and work hard to keep it such. The bed bowed in and not as comfortable but doable for the night…not thrilled by overall area but the place is clean , well lit and they have a privacy fence…very good for price and would most likely stay again…too good a deal to pass up

The office worker kept calling my room like 10 minutes after I got there because there were 3 people in there and one person was only there for a few minutes.

The hotel is pretty nice, comfy beds, spacious rooms, clean inside and out. However, the front desk staff are the most rude, disrespectful hospitality staff I've ever had to deal with. They are very callous and unsympathetic and have no issue lying to your face to get you to go away rather than actually bother to deal with a problem.

I love this hotel. The location, the price, the hospitality is all worth it every time I stay here.

This has been my go-to spot when I need to be close to home but alone. The price is more than reasonable for the quality of this establishment. I’m OCD so it’s important for everything to look as well as actually be clean. The staff is always welcoming. I go won’t go anywhere else, no matter what extra perks are offered. Thank you for never disappointing this frequent guest!

It’s very convenient clean and the staff would really work with you to make your stay good but the only thing is if you leave something 9 times outta 10 you won’t get it back.

The room was immaculately clean, and everything looked brand new. Even the outside of the building looked very recently painted. There was some traffic noise, but it was hardly noticeable with the air conditioner running. The bathroom area is large, and the bed was comfortable.

The customer service in this hotel is absolutely phenomenal. Vikki, the front desk service, was extremely helpful and attentive to room cleanliness and let us know before hand when room service arrived to our room. Overall, an excellent experience.

I stay here a week while I was attending some training I had the staff was awesome the rooms very clean the only down fall was they have now laundry on site

Clean and close by everything

I love coming here especially by myself. I come to be comfortable in a clean environment. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this one is truly one of the best. Hands done.

Check in was east and safe. Room 210 was clean and sanitize which is a plus for me. I would recommend and would visit again if I’m in that area in the future.

My third stay in this hotel. The wifi stopped working at night. The power outlet near the desk did not work. Everything else was fine.

We also asked for more sheets. He asked why we needed more sheets and said that if we needed them, we had to bring the old ones down to the front desk. This was 8pm and the cleaning staff were still out working. The hotel was clean but I would not stay again

Exceeded expectations! Recently renovated and huge space.

Bed was uncomfortable. Asked for more pillows and we were told there were plenty in the room. The building was very loud all night long. People going and coming all night long. We were told by a friend the next day that this motel is a rent by the hour type, used for sex and drugs. Not happy had to leave early and forfeit my money.

Better than expected. One of the nicer hotels I've stayed in. Updated room, clean. Area was a little sketchy but I needed to stay in that area as it was close to where I needed to work. It was one way in and out which made me feel better about vehicle safety. Didn't have any issues.

The room was excellent!!! It was clean and recently remodeled. The people at the front desk were not very sociable at all!! Bare minimum for breakfast. My primary interest is the cleanliness of the room, and comfort of the bed. Palace Inn Gulfgate exceeded my expectations in both of these. I will readily stay there again.

Got the hotel so we wouldn't have to deal with parking/traffic after attending a concert....enjoyed our stay, it served our purpose well.

The Hotel is very quite and the room was clean, well decorated and spacious .. This is my new go to hotel when I am in the Houston area.. Not to mention there was some breakfast snacks in the lobby area win-win

New,clean but if your looking to get sleep this isn't the place. This is a "motel" not a "hotel". I was the only out of state vehicle, horns were blowing into the wee hours just outside the door (like, perhaps stating that your half hour is up dude let's go ! - you know what I'm saying? ).

Very clean, enjoyed stay. One exception. There was no patio or bench where to sit outside and enjoy.

Very very impressed, the staff worked continually to keep everything clean. Staff is very friendly. Wish they had an out door lounge area since there's no pool.

Hotel is nice but there was lots of freeway construction work going on on Gulf Freeway (access frontage road ) where this hotel is located and this made the neighborhood look real messy and dangerous for cars as well as pedestrians to navigate thru. It was difficult to walk to nearby stores because of this construction work and there were no side walks either. I would personally not stay at this hotel if I known in advance the state of neighborhood beforehand. But it is what it is. The only other thing I liked about this hotel was that it was 10 minutes drive from George B Brown Convention Center in Downtown Houston - even during traffic times in the mornings and evening and this was my main goal to get there during rush hours. There was not much of breakfast served - few bananas, few apples and danish pastries with coffee, hot water but NO TEA bags - why?
