It had ants in the room. The lady at the front desk was rude when I went to talk to her about it. She told me the ants don’t bite. Their sweet ants. SMH I was not accommodated. She said well I only have king beds left. I had the rooms with two beds.

Although there was no electricity, the room was ok I booked two nights... I checked in around 11 pm, there was no electricity (I do understand it is not the hotel's responsibility), next morning I moved to another hotel, as I had work things to do... The hotel didn't refund anything, so basically I was held responsable for the power outage as I was the only one paying for it... They would've even refund the night I didn't sleep there, and I can't tell you how inconvenient it was for me to change hotels on a working day...

My family and i had wonderful experience at holiday inn express. The staff was helpful the breakfast wasn't bad and place was clean and comfortable.

The hotel experienced a power outage (not their fault) but made no effort to mitigate the impact. Cold shower, no breakfast, no offer to make things easier in any way, and no offer of credit or refund. It was obvious that upper management had not given the desk clerk any options at all to deal with a crisis.

The hotel was very clean, in a great location, and the staff were friendly. The soundproofing wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t a major issue. The staff member at the front desk in the evening was especially kind and helpful.

We had a nice day. No coffee in the room but the coffee in the lobby is available 24 hours. And tastes much better! Breakfast in the morning was complete with fresh made pancakes, great cinnamon buns, hot eggs, etc. fresh fruit and juice. All staff was very attentive. no restaurant or bar in the hotel but there is probably places within walking distance, certainly within driving distance.

The room was extremely noisy from the noises of the fridge to the door slamming every time someone came in, there was no batteries in the remote when we got in the room. Whatever was above us in our room sounded like a maintenance room and they sounded like they were throwing things everywhere. This was the worst night of sleep we have ever had a a holiday inn express. Staff was pretty non caring about anything that was going on. Asked for a higher floor so we didn’t have to deal with noises above us and was told we could only be on one or two. Never been told that before and the deposit was $125 which is way more than I have ever done at any hotel that I have stayed at. I do not recommend this location.

This is a fairly new Holiday Inn Express. The lobby is clean and well kept. The lay out and design is very nice. Staff was very helpful in each communication. The rooms were well kept. Great place and great location. Nice neighborhood across from the hospital.

The hotel was not an issue other than lack of communication or order from the customers. There was some type of event and there were literally hundreds of children and adults in the lobby, outside and in the hallways. It made the stay uncomfortable because the kids were extremely loud, running down the hallways and someone called our room a few times and hung up. We did report it to the staff and they said it may have been the kids and they apologized. Room service was polite and kind, but they relaxed my towels with soiled/dirty towels and didn’t take my trash I had sitting at the front door. The hotel was clean and the staff was kind, it was just the guests that made it uncomfortable. You could hear noises all throughout the night. There was never really a peaceful moment.

The room was large and clean. The beds were comfortable. I would have rated a 5, but although the breakfast was good, the food wasn’t replenished fast enough. I had to stand in a line twice because eggs were out the first time and sausage was out the second time. Also, I requested a late checkout. When packing to leave, I couldn’t get back in te room. I was advised the card cuts off at noon, and must be renewed for a late checkout. Should’ve been provided that information when I requested the late cu exploit the night before.

The hotel was very clean and conveniently located near multiple restaurants. The only thing lacking was they did not replinish the eggs and sausage quickly, so several guests were standing around waiting to make their plates.

The hotel and all the grounds (inside and out) were clean, and smelled good. I never had a problem with parking. The room was clean, inviting and a good use of space. The A.C. functioned well. The bed was extremely comfortable - I rested so well! Once my head hit the sac, it felt like i melted into the bed. So yes, the bed/rest was definitely the highlight of my experience while there. I chose this hotel over others, influenced by decent reviews, competitively priced, and that it had an outdoor pool. However, upon my arrival and during my entire 5 night/6 day stay (Sept 17th through the 22nd, 2025), the pool was down. I was highly disappointed with that, because I am a water person and the pool was the main selling point for me to choose this location. The breakfast was lack luster (for me). But my taste for breakfast is typically a bit higher, so take that with a grain of salt. I believe other individuals would find it to be satisfactory, as it was more than just pastries. There was a hot bar to choose from, juices, milk, coffee, teas, pancake maker (not a waffle maker). So, perhaps for a family or on the go, it's suffient. Overall, pleasant and would stay again!

Room was super clean. Staff was very friendly. Never got to use the pool , but it looked freshly clean and well kept. The breakfast was AMAZING!!! So much variety and the variety was extremely fesh and delicious.

The hotel was clean and had a great breakfast. If you're looking for peace and quiet, dont stay here. There's no soundproofing. You hear every footstep and feel every door shut. Its worse than apartment living. Sounded like people were doing jumping jacks above us.

Great place in a good location. We were here for a tournament and it was in the perfect place not too far from the venue. Staff was very kind and accommodating for anything we needed. Nice breakfast as always at Hampton Inn and Suites.

I reserved the room for 1 day, May 30th checking out the 31st. On the website it says hot breakfast eggs, bacon, sausage etc.. When I checked in I asked about the breakfast and was told no hot breakfast except waffles only. It was late when I arrived for check-in between 9:30-10:30 pm. After checking in I told the manager at the front desk that me and my son were going to get dinner and then come back to some sleep. After returning from dinner we went to the room given to us when we checked in. When we entered the room a very musty/moldy smell was overwhelming present in our room. Before turning any lights on other than the entryway light my son noticed a German cockroach climbing up the doorway to the bathroom. At this point we turned on all the lights to check the condition of the room. Every surface including the walls were filthy. The bed linens were dirty. The comforter on top of the beds had stains , human hair, stains and holes.trash not emptied, food splattered inside the microwave. The bathroom floor was so slippery when I walked my feet slid out in front of me. Mold in the shower. Human hair on the sink counter. The air conditioner fan blades were covered in mold,this was the smell we encountered upon entering. We complained and were shown 3 other rooms each as bad . At about 1:30 am we had to get some sleep as we had a busy day and a 250 mile trip to take. There no other rooms available in the area because of a sporting event and we were exhausted.

We were in Houston to visit family. We stayed Friday night until Tuesday morning. We had an issue with the guests upstairs and the General Manager Nathalie El Danaf addressed it with professionalism and kindness. The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet and well maintained. The continental breakfast was good. The dining area was clean and the food was hot. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We started off a little rough, I called to let the front desk know we would have a late check in as our son was playing a couple baseball games. The front desk then proceeded to tell me that would be ok but wanted to inform me that the original room I reserved with 2 queen beds was not available even though I booked it earlier in the week. I asked how was that not available when I reserved it prior to our stay. She wasn’t sure how that happened and said I wasn’t the only one it happened to that day. So they offered a king bed with a sofabed. But I didn’t want my kids to sleep on a sofabed because it’s hard on the back. We’ve all been in a car accident before so we have back problems. Which is why I booked 2 beds. I asked if I could just cancel my reservation and we would find somewhere else to stay. She then said let me speak to my manager and I will call you back. I called back since I didn’t receive a phone call and she told me they did find a room with 2 queen beds to my surprise. But after that rough start, the stay itself was good.

The customer service I have always experienced at every Holiday Inn I have always stayed in has been top notch. That was till my experience I had this past Saturday at your 10520 Huffmeister Rd location. Diana Johnson was and is the rudest person I’ve ever come in contact at any of your locations and I will definitely think twice about staying in any Holiday Inn in the future. So what I experienced was when I went down to asked a question about the AC I wasn’t used to working and didn’t know how. I simply asked if I could get some assistance on getting the AC running in my room. Her response was there was no one there that could help me. I then asked what I was supposed to do about sleeping in a hot room. Her response which just blew me away was ( you will just have to deal with it) because she didn’t have any other rooms available. I then said I wasn’t asking to switch rooms, I just needed help figuring how to work the AC. SHE then said their was nothing she could do for me. I was just blown away by her bad attitude. I feel very strongly that you all should reevaluate who you have working your front counter and coming in contact with your customers. How can I recommend a company that treats their customers like this. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

I stay here when traveling to Houston for business. Location is great for me, hotel is clean and so far well maintained. On this recent trip when I checked in the front desk lady gave me a choice of what floor I wanted to stay on and offered me a beverage and snack. I’ve never had that before, great customer service!!

Stay was great. I had no problems no complaints. I got engaged this weekend and glad the hotel was clean and quiet. I will definitely stay here again. Great area also.

TV wasn’t working and wasn’t fixed

Also, housekeeping came in once (we usually kept the Do Not Disturb sign on) and did not empty all the trash and didn't even make the bed! I expected them to change the sheets, which they obviously didn't do either. One more thing - I'm not sure that they really recycle here. We saw one of the staff empty the trash in the dining room into the recycling bin and take it all away.

Natalie, the General Mgr turned what would have been a pleasant work trip stay, terrible. She was unprofessional, rude and dismissive when I attempted to get clarification on multiple unauthorized charges made to my debit card two nights in a row that caused over $300 worth of charges to be tied up in my bank account. (Not to mention when she showed me what I was being charged for, the amounts didn't match what came out my account)..She threatened to check my out of my room early in the middle of our conversation, because I was adament on getting an explanation about why I was still being charged when I had already paid over $400 to cover the entire cost of my stay when I checked in. By day 3, I had nearly $800 in charges (for a stay that was almost have that price). I still am not sure what exactly caused this. Anyway, If you stay here monitor your charges and don't use a debit card. There is even a sign at the front desk basically telling you to use a debit card at your own risk because you may get charged twice, and they recommend paying with a credit card.

This property is very clean and new. No musty smells. The room was spacious with plenty of drawer space and shelves for my week long visit. Coffee maker in room and mini fridge. Plenty of electrical outlets and usb ports for all my electronics. The hot breakfast was great - eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh cinnamon rolls, etc. My husband's only complaint is that the room is only serviced every three days and we had to request it several times before it was done. Other than that it was perfect. Wifi was good as well.

It was peaceful just as I’d hoped. Also, there was good parking available, and they do offer breakfast every morning. The rooms were clean and I love that they had Dove body wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap! I recommend and will stay again!

I decided to stay here again in December after a previous stay in Sept. In Sept the hotel had recently opened and the hotel was new and everything was fresh and clean. It appears that since my previous stay they are not keeping up with stained carpets and cleaning. Very unfortunate as I had hoped I had found a clean hotel in Houston for my business travel.

The front desk staff at check in and check out was very impersonal. Too busy visiting with people behind the desk to be bothered with customers. Will not recommend this establishment to anyone. ( just the opposite)

Clean property, well appointed rooms, relatively new property, Staff attentive and really Nice like Shanie, Carla and Key among others. Breakfast could be better, there was no fruit available for several days. Heavy rains meant we could not use the outdoor swimming pool. Beds and pilllows were Comfy so no problem sleeping. Large room no issues with heat or air conditioning. TV remote did not work well. Hotel keeps a $ 125 deposit which takes a few days for the bank to re-deposit . Parking was easy and safe. Lots of eating places nearby. Good location in Houston suburb. We will visit again later.

All of the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Room was very clean and quiet. Only thing I would suggest was the breakfast buffet was good, but no fruit? No apples, bananas, etc. Would be nice to have some of that.

While our room was very good and the desk service was wonderful, the gunshots at the convenience store next door at 11 pm were a bit unnerving. This property has no control over such shenanigans in the community. We wish it would have been acknowledged by staff if only to ask if we were ok.

The room was clean and quiet. If we had a stayed longer we would have definitely utilized the pool, the weather was perfect for it. The breakfast was just enough and offered plenty. I would have liked to have had the amount of towels ready in the room for the amount of guests I stated. Otherwise the stay was excellent.

If it wasn’t for the night agent, I would’ve gave this facility a 2 star. She was amazing. Very attentive and welcoming. Oddly enough, I didn’t catch her name but thank you for your assistance and help. The cleanliness could’ve been better. I picked this location for two reason only. One, they are 15 minutes from family. Two, breakfast for the kids and I. We couldn’t get breakfast because they were putting food out in small portions. Meanwhile, there is a line already waiting on food. Probably won’t pick this location ever again. Front desk staff seem to not care. I will for sure call cooperate in the morning.

This hotel looks like it was recently built, although staff told me it is about 7 years old. It was clean and modern. The breakfast was good, parking was easy and free, and the room was clean. Bridget at the front desk was very friendly and professional. She deserves 5 stars for customer service! I would stay here again if I am in the area. I was 25 minutes from everywhere I needed to get too, which isn't too bad for Houston.

It was really good. They had a proper breakfast…it was more than just pastries and juice. The rooms were spacious (I’m coming from nyc), it was really quiet. It was better than some 4 star hotels I’ve stayed at in much bigger cities. Everything is brand new and clean. I was surprisingly impressed by this little Holiday Inn in Cypress, TX.
