I was checked in for three days they took my sleep machine out after day one. Very disrespectful staff and mean dog with manager.

There was a really big roach behind my bed & i realized after i had already slept a night there then its poorly cleaned everything is dusty , shower head is nasty & dirty, no back part to the remote, holes in the covers & i stayed in a non smoking room, holes in the room & the mirror was cracked

Upon our arrival it was a pile of ants above the door, crawling the walls, roof and door. I went to the office and was told to spray outdoor spray. No one every asked us if that resolved the bugs, if we were still having an issue, had we seen anything else. Absolutely noting. The walls are thin. You hear everything poor nsulation. You can't use tap and pay and they charge an extra $10 if paying in cash. They want you to book online/reserve online.

They present false advertisement. They show a photo of a breakfast area that they actuallystate is for use. They're changing a rate that's not comparable to the properties within the area. The Internet is really poor/it's intermittent and bufflers. They also have "potatoe bugs" in the restroom area and the toilet malfunctions along with a nonworking AC/heating unit. The young lady is also very rude! She will hang up the phone in your face (unprofessionalism). Also, being that it is family owned, it's no urgency to answer the office phone or provide assistance at the window.

The room was noisy (patrons, traffic, and parking lot) and it had a really smell of bleach and cleaning spray very strongly. I like those smells, but these were almost to the toxic level. The bathroom had snot on several walls that hadn’t been cleaned up in a long time.

Booked room, showed up to check-in, and the front desk asked if I could stop urinating in the bed. I live in California, and the last time I stayed here was over a year ago. Wont be back anyway, due to the rooms have gone downhill. Smoke alarm was detached from its' original spot, and I killed a couple of baby cockroaches.

Even our Uber driver commented on the empire inn so we drove home and didn’t use the hotel for the night !!

Kind of. House keeping lazy , used the same sheets that needed to be changed and obviously didnt. Walls dirty too.

Clean room, a/c unit was very loud, entrance lights flickered and not all bedside plugs worked. They need a better shower curtain since it doesn't cover it the floor was soaking wet making the floor slippery.

The place was under construction only rooms were upstairs.

Only reason for 4 stars is because there is always room for improvement. Staff greated me when i arrived. Transaction was smooth and painless and all around pretty quiet and comfy. Thank you for letting me stay in room 114

TV didn’t work, smoke alarm didn’t work (not even attached), mildew in the bathroom, tears in vinyl floor, burn holes in bed covering in non-smoking room and extremely noisy neighbors

The hotel is older but nice. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the walls are very thin. The head of the bed was on the same wall as the room next door's TV. He didn't turn it off until almost 5 a.m. So, little sleep. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!

They signed me to the first room. I checked in and it was a women's hair in the bathroom. I called the front desk and they changed my room. The second room had Roches.

I was unable to check in to this property as the office was closed and dark when I arrived. I had no choice but to book another property at the last min.

For the price, room and site were clean, but aged. Bed was comfortable; a/c worked fine. No TV or Internet.

Hotel has no amenities.

Liked convenience near major roadways and available parking. Was also inexpensive at this time, assumedly due to renovations, no breakfast, etc.

My stay was GREAT. The staff was helpful and allowed me to check in ahead of posted check in time. Room was spacious, clean and bright. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a convenient, budget friendly, no deposit, hotel stay.

Noisy neighbors. Stains on sheets and pillowcase. Holes on comforters. Bugs and dirty ac unit.

Only complaint is bed is quite hard and ended up with a sore back and wash clothes were not provided.

First time staying at non chain motel and what sold me was the customer service. Called to see if there was enough room to park a car hauler and the employee was very helpful. Clean, updated motel, close but not too close to the busy highway. Will be staying here again in the future next time in town. Only negative is against the other occupants as some would be playing music till midnight then another had their tv playing loud all night so I was awake for few hours trying to drown it out.

Quiet and no problems. Slept and got good rest. The employees are very nice and understanding.

Room 212 smelled horribly of weed when I opened the door. No Smoke detector, obviously ripped out of the ceiling to prevent alarms from the smoking. Floor had hair all over, sink not clean of toothpaste, used makeup applicators on sink, 9 bars of soap and shampoo, long term stay room? phone not functional, filters on fan and AC unit were filthy. Desk clerk was nice, but I didn't bother with a request to switch rooms as apparently I got the last one and with Expedia, no chance of a refund. Bed sheets appeared clean, fridge and microwave clean and functional. Floors are not carpet, which I wish more hotels would go to for cleanliness. Outside had some questionable guests and activities going on. I had higher hopes for this relatively new hotel to the area that isn't in a bad location.

Unusual walk up window service. Not welcoming. Room was large, clean and looked just like the advertised pictures. Nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. Lack of coffeemaker in the room was disappointing.

when I got to the property somebody tried to sell me marijuana at the front . Once I got assigned a room, the room is filthy . bed wasnt made . towels on the floor. I had to get it changed. Once I got my room change that room is dirty. And I had to get it changed again and that last room was fine It could’ve been better but at least nobody has slept in it and it wasnt stuff everywhere.

The hotel is located in a good area and not far away from the Houston Premium Outlets which was our primary reason for staying here. When we went to check in, we had to do so through a window as the reception area was under rennovation. It was around 104 degrees outside so this wasn't very pleasant and it seemed to take an age for our group to check in to our 3 rooms. We were already tired from our 5 hour drive from New Orleans so this was a little frustrating. Once in our rooms, we discovered a sticky substance on the bench (looked like a drink) and one of our other party had crumbs on their floor. Later that evening, when getting into bed we noted the bed sheets had stained blood on them. As it was 11.45pm at night we didn't call anyone at reception and slept on top of the bed. We mentioned this upon check-out the following morning and were told we should have called. In my opinion, the cleaner would have easily seen this when making the bed but has chosen not to do anything about it. The rooms are modern inside so this would be a great option if the cleaning is improved.

This is the type of place you would walk out with bed bugs or even worse, a disease.

I don’t appreciate being told no one will go into my room after I paid for another night before check out time and then when I got off work and went back to the hotel all of my daughters belongings were stolen. And I still have yet to receive any of our belongings back.

Hotel was nothing like shown in the pictures, rooms were nothing as shown!! Hotel smelled dingy like Clorox and cigarettes! Requested a non smoking room and all we could smell was cigarettes!! Outlets were not working for me to plug in hair accessories.

I didn't like anything about it, so had to cancel my reservation. It dod not look like what was advertised.

This property is new and very good.

The website for this property shows pictures of a breakfast being offered. However, it is closed. It appears it has been closed down for a long time. It is deceptive.

Not what I expected.

Arrived at location and was unable to check on because desk rep said there was no housekeeper on sight and turned me away. Kept the money after advising he would release funds back to my card. Called my bank to dispute and claim was denied due to the hotel saying it’s valid. I didn’t stay or get a room so why are you keeping my funds?

Lacked cleanliness

10 foot ceilings, 12 feet wide! Hot water, nice tub, clean big king bed. Iron, hairdryer, nice TV with good cable channels. Clean and roomy. Very impressive! My Sunday night king price: $79 all in.

The room was really basic which is fine. The AC wasn’t turned on ahead of time and the room was really hot. Certain light fixture didn’t turn on. Dirt on the walls, people knocking in doors at 2am…

I loved every part of my experience from start to finish. Very clean, very quiet, very peaceful and really good pricing. Even housekeeping did an extraordinary job. The parking lot was very well lit and secure as well. This place is definitely a gem.

Manager and staff were all family and all rude. No need for that, a/c unit was not working, & tv would randomly shut off. I complained twice and only get ugly attitude, no accommodations/nice feedback. Never staying here again, even if new.

We cut our losses and looked elsewhere. We tried Super 8 for a night and it was absolutely disgusting and Holiday Inn was booked so we then decided to give Empire Inn a try. We are so glad we did! Truthfully, while it doesn’t have all of the same amenities and needs a few updates here and there, they make up for it with how kind and helpful they are and how well they run the property. They only have one housekeeper, but she made sure we had everything we needed. Even though you don’t have a hallway to buffer sounds, there were zero issues with noise. We slept like babies every night we were there. Shipley’s donuts is also right Nextdoor and in walking distance!

They uae the excuse of COVID to not serv breakfast and to not make your room.

Clean basic room for a reasonable cost

The room was fine but the sheets and towels looked dirty “stains,hair,etc”. I would recommend for a pit stop stay but not a leisurely one.

They have a different name when you are looking and that tricks you into selecting it. When you get to the place you find cigarette butts in all hallways. At the entrance there is an old abandoned coca cola vending machine full of a lot of grime, behind it you can't imagine the dirt there. Inside the room, the bathroom was not clean. The place is definitely not pleasant at all because of how dirty it was.

Price is very reasonable.the only complaint was the temote for the tv did not work. We called the mmmmmmmmm.mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmkkkkmmmmmm?kmmmmllmlllmkiuy_

Everything was great except the $50 fee for incidentals. They take $60 right away and it takess them 3 -7 days to put it back in your account. The pool was also cloudy. Other than those 2 things it was great.

This is my 3rd time staying here and it’s been great every time only problem I had this time was the people next door made a lot of noise and slammed the doors in and out untill very late but that’s not the hotels fault
