    Were dated, the microwave and refrigerator looked to be beyond their shelf life. I stayed in the suite and expected much nicer amenities in the furniture and kitchenette area. This could be an amazing place but they do not seem interested in the very basic updates. A mini fridge is less than $250 and it would go along way in presentation. Microwaves are less than a $100 and would also go a long way.

    The room was clean but sparse. Bathroom room amenities towels, tissues etc were portion controlled. 4-6 tissues in the dispenser. Had to ask 2x for extra towels. Couldn't get an extra blanket. The refrigerator & the air conditioner to be replaced. However they did offer a complimentary breakfast. The staff was very nice and answered all our questions.

    Nothing. Booking.com has falsely advertising these hotels. There was mold in room (had to change rooms twice which inconvenience my entire trip) dirty stained linen, no air conditioning (during extremely hot days affecting my plans), toilet issues (plumbing overflowed), no free parking (as advertised) Everything.     Value Parking was totally unacceptable. Had issues getting in and out of garage. Then when I booked rooms it says late check out accepted. But when talking to staff at front desk it's a wait and see game. Gonna wake up and call. Convenience is a quality hotel's should offer. Other then that I enjoyed my stay

    This was the absolute worst stay I have ever had at any hotel ever. I am consulting an attorney to sue this place. Where to even start? First off we got to the property and we met the woman that every bad review mentions. Nikki should absolutely be fired she is nice nasty. She asked me my name and then immediately tried to charge my card, there was no breakdown of charges or notification of the attempt. She then asked if my card was locked and that's the only reason I knew she had already attempted. I was given misinformation about the deposit and since their staff is inconsistent about the policy let me just inform you that it is $50 a night...not $200 like they will try to tell you. We stayed 7 days our deposit came out to $350. Ms. Nikki must not have liked the conversation at that point because she literally put us in the dirtiest room she could find. The bathroom was nasty and the bed was hard and had broken springs so of course we went back and requested another room. This room had better beds and was at least somewhat clean. We were then continuously charged EVERY night for parking although we were told it it would come out of my $350 deposit. I locked my card and transferred my money after the first night so none of the attempted charges went through. I notified management who said they would stop authorization but the attempts kept happening. I called again and was told they would just refund me the $350. They lied and kept the money. This hotel is worse than Motel 6

    Nothing positive to say There was nothing about this property that I can say was positive. The staff was being snarky to another customer upon entering the lobby. Upon entering our room the ac was noticeably not working. The maintenance man was very prompt but still did not fix the issue. I booked a king suite for 4 people so you would think the room given to us would at least have had the linens needed for the pull out sofa. No. Called down 3 separate times as they brought pillowcases but no sheets. Then no blanket. The shower/tub backed up as you were showering so the tub filled halfway through your shower. The hot/cold water lines were backwards so it took awhile to figure out why there was no hot water. We stayed 2 nights. Informed the front desk again about the ac not working properly after our first night. They were supposed to send someone back up to fix it, which never happened because upon our return front he day the room was still not cooling as it should have. I will NEVER return this property. Very dated-not sure what floors have had renovations but definitely was not the one we were on. For almost $450 in charges I truly expect at least ac & plumbing to be functioning.

    I liked the location The property charged me the full amount of the room the moment i checked out and they told me its a kind of deposit money however my bank shows me its paid and completed (success) not in pending payment even though i paid it fully already through booking.com because i clicked on pay now and it was confirmed bu reception personal its fully paid when i checked in by the app so i paid security 200 dollars deposit and i utilized a certain amount of it for the parking fees + they charged me again fully for the room of 4 nights, i called them tons of times but the accountant is not available and the receptionist can’t support me even though they confirmed it its double payment and its a mistake which require an accountant support im calling the hotel since a week with no accountant to support me

    Room had weird smell to it, someone half cleaned the room. There was food in the fridge from the previous guest. We had have the housekeepers change out hhr covers and sheet they looked worn. First and last time staying at this place.only q elevator worked out of 4. Not what I was expecting from a Crown plaza hotel.     My sister and I have stayed at The Crowne three times. The rooms are comfortable with fluffy pillows and clean. Parking garage is convenient. TV options are good. The second visit our room was missing the mini refrigerator and they brought another to us right away. This visit we were missing the hairdryer but we didn’t miss it. Although I'm still they would've brought us another if we'd asked.

    Room was super clean, quiet, and comfortable. We reserved a junior suite for a family of 4. Only bad thing was that it only had 2 bath towels. We called front desk, but they said there were no service people that could provide us with more towels. My kids had to use the wet towels my husband and I had already used. That was the only inconvenience and unsatisfactory experience we had.

    I CANNOT BELIEVE Y'ALL CHARGE $25 A NIGHT TO STAY THERE! IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT I WOULD HAVE NEVER STAYED THERE! ALSO IT SAID I WAS GOING TO GET FREE BREAKFAST WITH MY ROOM AND I DIDN'T!     The room itself was acceptable, but the soundproofing was terrible. We could clearly hear conversations from the room next door—every word. To make matters worse, our neighbors were having a party and playing loud music at 11:00 PM, making it impossible to rest. Overall, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

    The room was clean and organized. AC went out of order on our last day, there was no shower amenities such as body wash, shampoo, or conditioner - had to buy our own, should definitely address that. However, hotel smelled nice and clean, we also enjoyed our view and it was quiet during the night. Overall, a good decent place to stay at if you are going on a business trip.

    There aren't enough luggage carts. My sister was traveling with a large oxygen machine plus our bags and cases. Management at the desk said sometimes guests keep the luggage carts. I mean how selfish can you be. I suggested a sign needs to be posted to return luggage racks to the foyer on Reception level.

    The guests and amount of chaos at the hotel made us feel unsafe. There were 12 -14 motorcyclists parked in the garage, that would blast music and smoke pot, no one told them to turn the music off or leave the garage. They were all in the lobby, and made inappropriate comments to us.

    The bath towels had somebody’s hair on them, which is disgusting. There was no heat on the room and it was cold outside. The fan only blew cold air and it was 63 degrees in the room. I couldn’t sleep because it was too cold. Hotel stay was not worth $221.

    Very disappointing stay. Found multiple roaches — in the bed, shower, and even on the toilet seat. One crawled on my leg while I was in bed. The room was also uncomfortably hot, and although maintenance was friendly and came quickly, the thermostat is apparently programmed and doesn’t work properly. The halls and room smelled like weed. When I showed the manager photos of the roaches, she initially dismissed them as “not looking like roaches,” which was upsetting. Friendly staff, but everything else was unacceptable.

    The hotel is very highly in need of upgrades and maintenance. We had to fix the shower head to not leak all over the place. The housekeeping team was horrible. The bathroom amenities were empty amd when we called to have them filled the house keeper was bothered. Also when we asked for all to be fille our door was left open!

    We arrived Megan at front desk was in helpful we were told there was no running water. We never were informed prior that there was an issue. Next morning I got stuck in the elevator with 5 other for 25 mins this hotel needs to be shut down it’s just not good at all last time i never in 46 yrs stayed at a hotel this bad

    Hotel is super outdated. The beds are probably 20 years old because all the springs are broken and you roll to the middle of the bed and wake up with back pains. The mattresses are dirty and the sheets detach all night. I say mattresses because I changed rooms in hope of a better mattress and pet odors but had the same issue. Staff was great with the circumstances and no control of rooms. The gift shop was over priced with items no one would ever need from another country. Unfortunately I would never recommend this location.

    I liked this property. The room lay out and interior room furniture with a nice workig table and lovely office chair that is flexible to turn in all directions. Plus a relaxation chaise style chair with adjacent table. The service is good with good breakfast I really recommend this hotel

    It was so great walking in to check in and Kenya at front desk was so friendly and helpful and smiling. Kenya at front desk went out of her way to help us and so friendly made our day after a long drive and so many people. Rooms were clean and nice. A great experience until we went to check out Friday morning. We had to leave at 630 am. Went down to check out and the lady at counter did not even get up from her chair with a blanket around her. Just said put your keys in the box. Ask her a couple of questions and she acted like we were bothering her but we will stay there again because of Kenya and the clean rooms. Great experience.

    Arrived at 6pm and room was at 75. We set it to the lowest it would go with the fan set to high. Arrived back in the room at 3am and the temperature did not change. Room was way too hot to sleep in. Ended up leaving and didn’t stay in the room.

    I booked this hotel through expedia. When we arrived on 2/17 and checked in we were told we had to pay full price plus a hold although we originally paid a deposit. We arrived in our room where there were no wash clothes. The first night I woke up to mysterious bites on me. We chalked it up to being a spider. As the days went on more bites appeared. Finally on 2/20 after falling asleep my husband woke up to welts on him. When he flashed his light he found BEDBUGS. We reported it to the front desk and although they gave us a new room without issue we left due to them being at the hotel. We had to check our clothes for BEDBUGS and everything we came with and threw half our items away. The hotel did allow us to check out early and canceled the last day however as of now we are out of the rest of our money because they have to open an investigation. We showed them photos of the bugs and our bites as well. We then had to spend an additional $300 on one night at another hotel.

    If I could give a zero, I would. There were non smoking signs all over the property including as you exit the elevators on the floor we were on but....the whole place smelled like Marijuana. Not only did we smell it but the unknown couple on the elevator said the same thing. As we approached to entrance to the hotel there were people smoking Marijuana out by the front doors. The management did NOTHING!!! When we complained of it smelling on our non-smoking floor they went up there and said they smelt nothing! It was probably them smoking it! We will never return!

It was a hassle to go down to the front desk wait in line to then be told rudely that requesting noon check out does not mean you room will continue to work past 11 am. You need to come down to the front desk to get it re-enabled. It took 30 minutes including wait time to get the issue resolved.

    It was overall a nice stay, it was clean. The location was great as it was near downtown Houston however what I didn’t like was you could see the plumbing in the shower and it was a small area of the shower that had dirt backed up but again for the most part the entire hotel room was clean minus the above, it has a pool, but no hot tub. I thought it had a hot tub and that was disappointing. The customer service was good minus checkout as our checkout time was early in the morning so I guess the staff was a bit grumpy. This is over at a hotel that you stay at because it’s affordable. It’s for the most part clean and it’s in a good area.

    Service was the worst I have seen. The front desk is a frenzy and I don't think there is anyone working in the billing department.     This hotel is in a very convenient area off of highway 69 near the medical center & the Galleria mall. Lakewood Church is also close by a few blocks away. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone staying in Houston.

    We called the hotel before booking and asked specifically if the indoor pool was open. They said yes. We booked immediately and checked in within an hour. After payment, we found the indoor pool is closed. This was our top criterion because we’re staying with kids. The hotel admits it’s closed. We were misled.

    I did not have breakfast from there so I can’t comment on it. My room did not have enough wash rags I had to wait until the next day for cleaning service to come in order to get more wash rags. The room was booked for 3 with only one wash rag in it. $25 a day parking was a bit pricey.

    The whole place need a make over it has a musty smell the water pressure is bed the drink machine on my floor was sold out first night didn’t have heat in my room got moved the next day to what was supposed to be a upgrade the room smells like mildew furniture looked worn out water in the sink barely ran the tub was dirty and from that I got complimentary breakfast and parking I needed some money back

    There was no hand soap. One roll of toilet paper. The bathtub drain was so clogged the bathtub started to fill when i showered. Cleaning staff were talking loudly at 2-3 in the morning then during the day the cleaning staff were making a bunch of very loud banging noises in the room next to us. I have no idea what they could have been doing to make that noise. Then on my checkout day we couldn't enter or leave the parking garage because the barcode no longer worked. this was frustrating because i still had business to take care of that day before my checkout time. other then all of those frustrations the staff i talked to was friendly. it kind of seems like there wasn't enough staffing to operate the hotel like it needed to be for the price point.

    Rooms were big and quiet. BEWARE - there is a $100 deposit per room (we had 2 rooms) that is refundable upon checkout BUT if you have a car, there is a $25 per night charge (per car - we had 2) to park in the garage, which is the ONLY option for parking! This fee is taken out of the deposit. Also, housekeeping never came by to clean our room after night #1. To top it off, the hotel's main water pipe broke on day #2 and there was no water for 6 hours. No water bottles were provided and no alternate accommodations arranged for existing hotel guests. Very unprofessional and a critical error on Crowne Plaza's part. We won't be staying there again!

    We checked in after a 11 hour drive for a post opp appointment & had to stay in the room with no heat on a cold night. We reached out to the front desk and they said none of the heat was working. However they didn’t even mention that to us when we got there. The lady at the front desk saw me struggling to even walk and asked me if I was ok. I told her i had just had surgery, been on the road for 11 hours & she still didn’t have sympathy to let is know we would be sleeping in the cold

    Value for money was not that great, cleanliness was a bit compromised. Washroom commode was not flushing properly. Washroom roof paint was peeling off. Corridor’s carpet’s vintage was not maintained with the required pleasant smell. Iron board was broken (asked for replacement and provided). Overall eating between ok and poor.

    So many things went wrong here. Hotel breakfast is not free / included. I paid for 1 breakfast and did not after the first day as the options were terrible. Hotel swimming pool is out of commission. The cleaners left their cleaning rags in my room after they cleaned and did not bother to refil coffee & creamer stations.

    When I used to come to this hotel parking was included, now it is not, and they did not give you this information up front, had I known I would have selected another hotel. Smelled like illegal substances, getting out of parking even with the $25.00 a day pass was a nightmare, had to go back inside twice just to get out, front desk was highly unconcerned. Bar food was terrible, chicken soup with no chicken. I will not stay here again, this hotel has seen better days.

    During my stay there at the hotel, I multiple times went down in the morning before work to speak to somebody at the front desk and had to wait for over 45 minutes at times with the security guard telling me he could not help me and listening to the front desk lady snore in the room behind the front desk. This happened every night. I was there then once I checked out, I asked for a receipt they told me after waking her up that she could not give me one at that time and that one would be sent to me now that I am home. Nobody is willing to send me a receipt. In fact they’re trying to charge me seven dollars to get one that being said I would not recommend this place to anybody. it was not clean the location is terrible and most of the services in there will take you hours to get anything. That being said probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Houston.

    The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our first night we didn’t have any issues. However, on the second night, the air conditioner broke and the room became very warm and when we went downstairs to get help found that there was no staff available to fix it so at 3 AM in the morning we were forced to switch rules which was a little inconvenient. But they did accommodate us by giving us a late checkout. So overall the day was nice. The breakfast was good. The staff was very accommodating. And yes, we will definitely stay there again.

    My husband and I were issued a parking ticket from the kiosk before the gate opened and we parked in the garage. When we check in, the front desk receptionist gave us a parking pass and told us not to use the pass issued from the kiosk and not to worry about parking. The stay was fine, but I checked my banking app and was charged $24.99 for parking. I called the hotel several times only to be transferred to a voicemail and never received a call back. I had to call my bank to dispute the charge and receive a refund. Be careful with this hotel!

    Sadly we got here and already very displeased with our stay. I had made the reservation through Expedia, it did not let me put a request for a quiet room away from the elevator. Once here during check in, I let the receptionist know and she put us on the 14th floor which we thought it would be quiet. Entering the room we already could hear the noise from outside. It feels like a window is open. It's horrible. Then I took my shoes off and the carpet is all wet around the living area. I finally called the front desk to let them know of all issues and I was told that we could not switch rooms because I did not make the request prior and now they can't do anything about it (bad customer service). They were going to send someone to check the carpet being wet. The guy came and his solution was for us to put a towel or something because it could have been that someone drop water before us, gross! This is unacceptable for a higher end hotel to have these issues. I had expressed to the front lady that we had had a horrible experience with another. Crown Plaza in Dallas 2 years ago and we were hoping this would not be the case. But here we are, not even 30 min in the room and already having all these issues. Got a “welcome” text from manager then explained to her what happened, she offered for us to change rooms but we are already settle in bed, not going to pack all over to take a risk to have more issues in a different room. Lost trust, will never set foot on a Crown Plaza again!

    I came to Houston for my anniversary vacation and was very disappointed in my stay. If i can rate a zero i def would because the rooms online did not add up with the rooms in person. Our first room which was a suite contained roaches. When you open the front door to the suite there was a roach above the door the size of my big toe. Mind you we just arrived from a long flight and it was after 8pm that we got there. I immediately went to the front to complain and manager by the name of LOLA showed no empathy or concern to anything. All she said was she could switch my room. I asked for a partial refund and she told me i can get a full refund if i leave. I’m not from Texas how inconvenient is it to have a guest leave in a state then know nothing of and try to find somewhere else to stay. We switched rooms and that was no better. Ants in my bed, me and my girlfriend also got bit so many times in our room i started to think there was bed bugs. Our sink was also broken, the handle on the bathroom sink was off and when we called front desk again they told us we can switch rooms. Seems like the only accommodation this place has is a constant switch of rooms but no real resolution. Our room was also a suite which contains a fridge and a microwave but we didnt get a microwave until the last night of our stay and maintenance took an hour after our call to the front to bring it. Overall i hated staying here and should not have to pay the full price for such terrible experience.

    The room was good for a budget hotel. It was clean with a nice sized bathroom. Hot water was immediate. Big screen tv we couldn’t figure out how to work without instructions. Staff friendly at front desk. Take your own water or go next door to the gas station. There wasn’t even a water cup in the room, and the hotel charges $9 for a small water bottle. The price gouging continued with the world’s worst designed parking garage. If you drive a pickup truck find another hotel, as the spaces are narrow and impossible to back into. It’s $25/night.

    The carpet smell very bad, that make us can’t go sleep!! So, we have to use our parfum to make the room smell good ! the toilet is low sit. The shower water is hot !! And it’s hard to adjust to the warm temperatures! The staff was friendly and the location is good to go around.

    My wife thought the bed was comfortable, I thought so as well but I noticed immediately that the mattress had springs in it. I liked that they had what looked to be a restaurant in the lobby that serves breakfast and dinner, along with a full bar if that’s your thing.

    When I booked my stay, my reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included in the rate (which we paid $21,999). However, upon arrival, we were told otherwise. Even after showing the confirmation email and screenshot with the breakfast inclusion, the staff dismissed it without any effort to verify or assist. During my three-night stay, I also requested a late checkout — first the evening before my departure, and again early in the morning around 9 a.m. Both times, my request was ignored, and no one followed up. The front desk was impossible to reach, as the in-room phone didn’t work the entire stay. To make matters worse, the room was never cleaned or refreshed, and we never received clean towels. For a hotel that carries the Crown Plaza name, this was beyond disappointing. As someone who travels frequently, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable or memorable stay. Expect more frustration than satisfaction.

    Thank you to Crowne for accommodating me with a new room after finding bugs in the initial room i purchased. One of the evening staff members, A lady to be specific (6-7pm on September 3rd), was extremely rude talking over me, not accommodating to room service. Additionally I would be woken up by room service continuously even after having the Do not disturb sign on my door. Nonetheless, I made the best out of my short stay by ordering my favorite meals. I do not recommend.

    Make it known that you parking is to be paid for. Having bad knee & no working elevator & have to go up & down the stairs (3 levels) was a horrible experience. If I had seen parking wasn’t included in the rental stay would have kept searching that little information would and is very important to be given before one proceeds in booking

    Bathroom shower head was strange. I paid over $400 for two nights, which is not the price I thought I was getting. I was told breakfast was included for my stay then told it actually wasn’t. The $25 a night hidden fee for parking was also unexpected. I will choose elsewhere next time.

    Location was convenient, however parking wasn’t explained very well and kind of confusing. The dining options were also not explained well and didn’t see they gave us a breakfast card and it stuck to the door key so paid for breakfast only to have them had to refund it. Staff was helpful getting things corrected for us.

    The hotel is kind of in its own in a somewhat busy area, but wasn't hard getting in or out. The parking garage is attached, big plus. Once in the lobby, it's big and spacious. The limited number of elevators (4) only comes into play at checkout. The elevators are old, but functional. Once in a room, you'll find it very large with a couch, desk, bed, dresser, and large TV. The bed was incredibly comfortable.
