The breakfast was regular nothing special basic , plus i only ate a muffin, but the coffee was great and available all day love that part.. Only complaint i have, which was beyond the hotel control was there was a homeless man laying in the bushes outside near hotel. I also dont think paying for parking is necessary if we staying at the property but its 5$ a day.

Front desk was nice Whole hotel reeked like Marijuana especially the front lobby. Room was dirty and was told a crib would be but in the room for my baby. The floors were so dirty my baby feet turned black front crawling on the carpets. By far doesnt live up to the expectations of Hampton inn hotel and not worth the price you pay. Also if your gonna make guest pay for parking have a security guard present roaming the parking lot to ensure guest vehicles are protected.

I stayed here for three nights. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff was helpful and the hotel was very clean. I enjoyed the pool, we had it all ourselves because it wasn’t that hot so we were the only ones there. Breakfast was decent although the beverage machine didn’t work one day and we weren’t offered any alternatives. I would stay again.

After being treated so poorly by a neighboring hotel it was a pleasure to meet Tyeisha who made us glad we stayed at the Hampton Inn. I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like about the property.

The entire Hotel has been renovated since last year and it looks great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Everything was perfect. Well be back next year for homecoming again.

The rugs, although looking clean, definitely need a deep cleaning because the bottoms of my white socks were filthy and I was only there two nights and only wore them before bed. Other than that, I found the hotel very nice.

The staff was very friendly, especially Belle who greeted me at the front desk when I arrived. The room was clean and comfortable enough but there was a lot of humidity and everything felt a little damp. Overall, the hotel feels neglected and a bit rundown. There was a lot of debris strewn around on the outside and trash bins were overflowing.

Staff was great. The Hotel is outdated and not well maintained. The pool was out of service and full of trash. Drug dealing inside the hotel rooms and parking lot. Parking for the hotel had furniture dumped in it and car parts. People sleeping in their cars in the hotel parking lot. I had an adjoining room and the people next to me kept knocking on the adjoining door trying to sell drugs. No amenities I. This hotel. Tv had no service, no pool available, no laundry, workout room has two pieces of equipment and side doors don’t lock. I paid almost $400 for a hotel that gave motel vibes. I also paid for a king shower room and was told all that was available was a handicap room. Terrible property

Specifically booked hotel because of pool. When we got there the pool was not only closed, it was green and nasty. Bathroom wasnt stocked fully with towels. Behind the toilet was dirty and after showers the walls were dripping with yellow condensation. The movie we tried to watch kept going in and out. The only plus was the staff were nice.

Was VERY disappointed that this property advertised as ‘Pet Friendly’ w/no indication in booking that that meant a $75 pet fee. I have an 11 yo 10 lb dog that has traveled w/me her entire life & I always stay in pet friendly hotels. The first time EVER I was asked for a fee upon registration that wasn’t stated prior to booking. It was midnight & was traveling w/daughter & 2 infant grandchildren in another room. I was asked at check in if I wanted to stay & pay the fee, or go elsewhere. Unfortunately was not an option w/the babies. Perhaps hold a security deposit in case of incidental damages. Complete money grab. I will not be staying at any Hampton Inn in the future with this egregious policy. As an aside, this is the first negative review I have ever left.

I normally stay at the Hilton or their smaller hotels, (Tru,Hampton, etc). For the 1st time, I was disappointed with a Hampton Inn. Steer clear of this one because it’s the equivalent of a Motel 6. It’s clean, the staff is super friendly but it’s very dated! My a/c/heater unit was falling apart and didn’t work at all. The front desk offered me a new room but I’d already spread out by then. They must have the water set to a certain temp because my shower water was a step above lukewarm, and that’s after letting it run for 5 minutes. This place needs an interior facelift. The furniture was right out of the 1960s and rock hard. At least the bed was comfy. If I ever have to go to Petersburg again, I’ll drive a little further and stay in Colonial Heights.

Mattress was very hard and pillows too soft. The toilet was so low I almost fell. The hotel was under renovation. The staff and construction workers worked hard to not interfere with the guests comfort.

Facility was under construction and the lobby was a mess. To be fair, the website stated that it was under construction but I didn't realize how bad it would be. I would have expected a discounted rate considering the condition of the main entrance way and sitting area. The elevator also did not work until a maintenance worker came to work on it

I booked the stay on hotel.com and the description said the hotel had a gym. The gym and a wing on the first floor were under construction. The lobby floor was dirty and elevator dusty. The breakfast was subpar and by far the worst inclusive I’ve ever had. The hotel room was fine other than the dirty comforter and holes in the wall. However, the front desk staff when we checked in and in the morning were so friendly and kind.

I didn’t like the first floor. The staff was very nice however I was very disappointed as I could not watch TV. The TV would say there was an error and something was wrong with their cable. I don’t know if this was just me or not, but the toilets are very low overall, it was a good stay, I wish that breakfast had waffles or a better selection of muffins.

The pool was clean and my kids had a ball swimming😀 The was also a lake or pond next to this property full of turtles and fish but the turtles did not come out of the water. This will be put on my favorites list. They did have breakfast but I checked out early. I did get an apple😃

The service was very very good! Every lady that helped me was amazing and I wish I got their names. From the front desk to the breakfast crew to the cleaning lady in the hall. I had an issue checking in, the computers were down. My room tv was not working and I did not have any wifi, the room number and last name would not work. They fixed it the next day. The pool was not even filled and it was not usable. This location needs some help with updating the amenities.

The staff at this hotel were very nice and the hotel was very quiet which made overall a good stay. However, the interior of the rooms is very out of date. Furniture was very worn with some stains. Lampshades were damaged and loose. And, the TV set up is ancient technology - digital cable with no guide or streaming possibilities. Several channels were out of service and we were told this happens "when it rains" So, the interior and the TV situation definitely need to be modernized.

Jessica was amazing!!!! We showed up super late due to my wife being released from Fort Jackson late and the drive was brutal, however, the staff assured us the room would be secured and when we got in the process was swiftly. We asked for a late check out due to the process we were going g through and they went above and beyond then a 5 star hotel. Thank you for making the transition and experience truly unique and memorable. We will definitely be back during visitations.

The hotel was pretty standard. Decent condition and comfortable. However, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. We had already checked out and left the hotel, but unfortunately were forced to change our plans and return to the hotel for a couple of hours. They let us back into our room without any issue at all or any extra charge. We were very impressed by the staff! And, the free breakfast was amazing. Great selection of foods!

Spouse and I were very happy with accommodations. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint was height of mattress from floor. I have short legs and like to sit on mattress with feet on the floor; not possible with the current sit-up. Maybe offer rooms with mattress to accommodate people with short legs? Cookies were offered in lobby along with coffee and tea. Cookies tasted okay, but could have been better. Nice gesture, though. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of smiles. Will definitely stay here again.

The property itself was fine . The room was horrible . The toilet leaked , the bathtub didn’t drain properly, spider webs on the curtain , and stains . Got a full refund and an apology .

The hotel was just ok. I thought the room was a little dated and didn't feel as clean as I would have expected from a Hampton Inn. The staff was very attentive, helpful, and courteous. After the first night the next morning the staff started carpet cleaning near our room and woke us up. Later that morning I went down and shared my concern. Didn't have a problem the rest of the stay. We stayed an extra night and that morning before we left we requested our room to be serviced with fresh towels and toilet paper and when we returned later that evening nothing was done to our room other than removed the old towels but didn't replace them. Also, having only one waffle maker when there are alot of guests is not feasible. Other guests trash was outside their door when we returned in the evening and was still in the floor when we left even with housekeeping was active on our floor. Picking up trash left outside of the room should be the first thing that is cleared in the morning. Finally, the beds were not comfortable at all. When we return to the area most likely we will not be staying at this hotel in the future based on our overall experience.

The room was gross, hair & dirt blankets on beds, bathroom had hair all over the floor & tub. Air conditioning made everything feel wet in the room. Very little stuff at the breakfast buffet. As soon as we opened the door to the room we got hit in the face with a musty smell. This has been the worst hotel I’ve stayed in in a very long time. Will never be going to there again!

i asked for a reasonable remediation to my booking i was denied. The General manager Ian was not very helpful. In offered a cot to fit the 5th person, but admitted it is in fact a fire hazard,, as the only place to put a cot wouuld block the entry way.

Reserved this property because we googled pet friendly hotels and this came up. When we got there they stated no pets spent money and did not stay. Also we got there at 12 midnight and the lobby was full of people having some type of party not a place to stay for me.

Upon attempting to check in at Hopewell Hampton Inn, I was told my confirmed reservation was cancelled by Expedia. But funds were taken on my credit card. The manager did exhaustive search and contact with Expedia rep on phone, who said Hampton cancelled the reservation, which they stated they did not. While standing patiently at the counter (with family) during their 1 hr back/forth, I received 2 confirmation emails confirming my stay. I also received email stating if I had questions to direct them to Hampton Inn. Hampton Inn eventually said they only had 1 rm available, and attempted to relocate us to available local hotel. But we were subsequently redirected 25 miles away from our destination, to Hampton Inn, Richmond VA. We were told all I had to do was show ID and check in. However Richmond Hampton wanted to charge our credit card again because of no verification from Expedia. Hampton Inns then went back & forth, before Richmond locale checked us in, but was not room size we needed. We were then moved 2 more times before getting room size we requested. However, one rm toilet was plugged with towels, water on the bathroom floor and the carpet was soaked under/around the ac unit. The other rm door was jammed, hard to open. I have never experienced this thru Expedia reservation before, and hope not again!!!

Expedia canceled my trip but did not cancel the hotel room. I did not stay there, I had to rebook my entire trip. The Hampton booked someone other than myself in room 325 in short, the Hampton helped perpetrate a fraud on my identity.
