Ocean's Sound Hotel

I like the Location. There is No ice machine on property, no plastic cups in rooms, Also you have to check in at another property 3 blocks away, and doesn’t have it own pool again you have to use one at another property which was full most of the time

The location and price i paid for the room at Ocean's Sound outweighed the cleanliness of the room when I first arrived. The room was large with plenty of space to put 2 maybe 3 air mattresses up if extra room is necessary. The pull out sofa definitely needs to be upgraded with a memory foam topper because it's extremely uncomfortable. On a positive note the fold out was clean and was made with clean sheets. The open floor plan living/kitchn area is equipped with a coffee pot, microwave, 2 burn glass top stove and an icebox, all were clean. The kitchen doesn't come fully stocked with cups,plates, bowls and so on,but you can go to the front desk and request a kitchen box . The cleaners will service your room every 3 days. Towels must be brought up to the office and exchanged if they are needed before 3 days. The hotel itself is 1 of many along a 3 or 4 block area. Breakfast is held at one and there are several pools scattered throughout the property. Make sure you bring extra money beyond the actual booking fee itself for a daily resort fee of 17 and daily parking fee of 18. Plus your 100 deposit. If you have a car it is a must you purchase a parking pass. Parking in the area is extremely expensive and very lacking.You will get towed with a quickness. I'd definitely stay again

La habitación no estaba limpia, el desayuno no tiene variedad está muy pobre, el jugo de naranja no era natural,solamente había pan, mantequilla, cereal, leche , agua , te o café no puedo decir, era algo caliente, huevo hervido , plátano y naranja, las piscinas no estaban limpias y las sillas de afuera de la habitación estaban atornilladas con un alambre al piso y eso es bien peligroso porque uno se puede caer, las muchachas de la limpieza y la de la oficina fueron muy amables

We didn't go for the breakfast . The unit itself you can tell hasn't been painted in so long or the doors were dirty. The ceiling was cracking the couch had a tear in it. The bed had stains on it it was a great location, an area just the room itself needed more attention

Location to the beach was nice. I could not find a remote for living room AC. The Wifi wasnt working. Or there was no place showing wifi and wifi password. TVs did not work. All in spanish with passcodes not provided. The rooms where quite sad and very boring. To turn the light off in the room i had to unscrew the light bulb. No switch.

the room we were put in had what looked like either an ant pile or termites as well as a smell that was not pleasant at all. the shower only has one door which makes it very difficult to use without getting water everywhere. along with many other things, we did not feel it was fit enough to stay there and we checked out the same night we checked in. disappointing.

Everything- pool, check-in, breakfast is all at different locations. No blanket or pillow on pullout mattress, no extra blankets or sheets. Rusty hinges in the restroom. TV was not working properly. Best thing is the location is a walk away from the beach!! Will not return to this location!

Ok with pros and cons. Close to beach in great location and 4 pools. Rooms could use some maintenance, dishes available upon request, a two block carry to office and to breakfast

The bed spread was velvet very hot for a beach room tge bed looked really cheap and used up i didn't e ven want to sleep in it as a soon as I woke up I left

The lady running the front desk was incredible! I wish i had gotten her name. She was kind, thorough and could probably run the place blindfolded with one arm tied behind her back! She is what made our stay extra special.

Great location. Nice, big room 1. There is one reception for a lot of properties. There are very long queues for check-in and check-out. We left our luggage in the luggage room and had problem retrieving to get the airport on time. 2. The staff is unresponsive. I asked for invoice and I did not get one. There are no answers to messages on booking 3. The breakfast is in another building (that would be OK) but it is very crowded and there are no vegetables.

Close to the beach Filthy, nothing worked, the couch pullout was disgusting and some of the pillows on the bed were yellow! Actually disgraceful!

Location and Front Desk staff Place needed some minor details. The dirt onthe walls in the rooms from where hands usually rest (doors and corners of walls) need to be painted. The scuff marks on the lower portion on the walls could be painted.

there ws no breakfast at the hotel. the office for check in, and breakfast were about 2 blocks away. The cab dropped us off at the hotel and I had to walk the two blocks to the office to check in false advertisement. A free breakfast and pool were advertised and were not at the hotel location. the kitchen had no utensils, plates, cups etc.

It is quite confusing where to check-in. I took 2 taxis and couldn't get there. I had to ask locals to get there by walking with all my bags.

El cuarto muy sucio y el servicio que recibí de las personas de recepción muy malo la persona muy grosero me trató como si yo estuviera pidiendo hospedaje de gratis y fue caro para mi experiencia comparado con otros hoteles este es uno de los peores hoteles que yo e visitado en años creo que hubiera sido mejor el motel8 y eso que dicen que ese es malo para mi la primera impresión es el personal que te recibe y fue lo peor lo único bueno fue lo cerca a la playa después de eso nada más

The on-site manager was horrible. Wouldn’t refund me back my money. I never even checked in. I wanted to cancel my reservation after seeing how sketchy the place looks.

The hotel is welcoming and clean, and the service was good. I recommend it if you just want to spend the night to sleep and enjoy the beach and its surroundings.

Waited about 30 minutes for attention. Finally tracked back the mile to our room and it was upstairs with no elevator. They are very unprofessional and obviously never learned customer service skills. Nothing close by to grab a bite to eat. This has to be the worse experience with booking a hotel on Hotels.com.

At first it was strange to check in through phone or remote check in but eventually you get the hang of it. with customer service assistance since staff thats there is clean up crue. It was clean and neat but to get a hold of staff is theough the phone. It is veey noce compared to other older ones that aren't at all.

The room itself was nice very spacious and big, unfortunately the building where we received a room didn’t have a pool but there was pools around that you were able to use. The check in was a little confusing but overall not bad for a quick weekend trip and the proximity to the beach is amazing

Sooo murky and smelled like bleach and made us itch when we got out of the pool. 3rd red flag, we paid for late check out because our flight leaves late. Check out is at 11am but we paid for 2pm, when we arrived back from the beach our key card was deactivated and it looked like someone had been in our room! 4th red flag, there are no kitchen utensils, shower and bathroom are a total mess cosmetically. The continental breakfast only contained cereal and burnt toast. They have been charging extra fees for everything. To everyone looking at this place to stay please save your money and do it else where! This place is GOD awful!!! Never again. HBH is an awful company

We got the apt which did not show pictures. When we arrived one fo the bed was in living room and the other had it own privacy. It had 2 bathrooms and a nice size kitchen. Disputing the charges for the stay.

I didn’t like about it because they forgot to take out the dirty wash cloth out of the bathroom when they were cleaning the room that’s all thank you and they charged me for the deposit and for parking there and it’s was sucks so thank you

check in process was terrible. I did an hour line justo to check in. After that I went to my room....was nice, big and clean but is an old property. Breakfast was included but is too early and is not in your hotel is in another building. Very inconvenient. Parking was a mission. Ypu pay por parking and you have to park one mile away from your building because they don't have enought spots there.

Starting with their phone number on Google is incorrect. I will state the pros, water pressure was phenomenal, air condition was on point and maybe 20 steps away from the beach! Cons: mold in the bathroom on doors and in shower, no shower door or curtain so expect the entire floor to be wet when you get out of the shower, wallpaper peeling off the walls, paint peeling off the doors, just unclean, room felt dirty, I felt the need to sleep on top of the covers with my own pillow, I normally unpack my suitcases when I stay at a hotel because I hate to be living out of a suitcase but that thought didn’t even cross my mind here, we took everything with us everytime we left the room, parking is a joke, not enough spaces for the occupancy, one night we had to park at another hotel 3 blocks away, you can hear and smell everything from the adjoining rooms. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel, they will not refund absolutely anything that’s the only reason we stayed after night one.

Cons: mold in the bathroom on doors and in shower, no shower door or curtain so expect the entire floor to be wet when you get out of the shower, wallpaper peeling off the walls, paint peeling off the doors, just unclean, room felt dirty, I felt the need to sleep on top of the covers with my own pillow, I normally unpack my suitcases when I stay at a hotel because I hate to be living out of a suitcase but that thought didn’t even cross my mind here, we took everything with us everytime we left the room, parking is a joke, not enough spaces for the occupancy, one night we had to park at another hotel 3 blocks away, you can hear and smell everything from the adjoining rooms. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel, they will not refund absolutely anything that’s the only reason we stayed after night one.

It was a beautiful room. That had 2 rooms inside of it.So we pretty much lived like in a mini apartment. I love that I could walk outside and have breakfast in front of the osean view. I would definitely stay again in this hotel. It also head a little kitchen and a stove so you could cook your own food.

A perfect vacation, everything was clean, and the main office was very attentive. The location was ideal, safe for children, and had attractions for adults. An excellent experience.

Was moved hotels because was told what I booked deluxe studio suite did not have pull out couch (as advertised), she only booked me 1 night original reservation was for 2. Had to hurry and find hotel after realized Saturday morning. Room was awful. Bugs on sink, tub did not drain. Daylight all the way around door when closed, my kids so freaked out, no rack in oven. Asked for copies of paperwork signed at checkout guy said he couldn’t help me. I have more pics but can only upload 8

We walked in to an occupied room upon check in. Dirty clothes and dirty condoms on the bed. Stuff everywhere . Asked for another room, they gave us the smallest dirtiest room I have ever seen. Not at all what we paid for. They finally gave us our last room and it was just ok. Would not stay here again.

Do not ever use this property. Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, we get there and they cancelled our rooms and lied about it, They said Expedia cancelled it. Sounded fishy, so called Expedia, and of course it was a lie. I explained we need help. We had 2 children, we were desperately looking and calling other places. Expedia also tried to help, no luck. 2 hrs on the phone, no rooms available. Had to Uber back to airport and sleep on the carpet . It was also a fully paid property, not only a down payment or a book now, pay later situation. Expedia refunded the charge . Will never recommend this place .

The apparent was well maintained and nice and clean. We loved the view. Location was ideal! Unfortunately, when we arrived, I inquired about the gym and was told, “oh the city shut it down a long while time ago.”

Front desk was not very friendly. They charge more outside booking once you arrive. Parking was convenient but they made us leave as soon as we checked out.

Room was dirty and needs a lot of repairs. Was good square footage in the room. Also, it was about 60 degrees in the room all night, freezing.

Rooms were clean traditional beach accommodations with some updates. No response via phone or email. But in person folks happy to help and answer questions.

Two words: Bed bugs. I never write reviews but want to save you from itching like me. My friend and I stayed in two different rooms and both had what seemed to be bed bugs. We both woke up with itchy bites. No good. I knew it wouldn't be the nicest, but it was worse than I expected.

Hotel is in a very good location, walking distance to the beach. The only upside is that “ lobby” usually would be one/ two block away from the room. Clean, renewed and spacy room. Friendly staff.

I booked this hotel coming back from a cruise and the only reason I booked was because it was close to the beach and the reviews seemed good. I wish I went with something further and more expensive because you certainly get what you pay for. There was a roach on the wall. The place smelled of roach spray. There was drug addicts hanging around and I had to walk 4 blocks just to get to the office and back to the room. I didn’t like anything and wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel charged us for 3 rooms, and 2 nights for over $1,000. It's unacceptable and it's taking advantage of people victims of Hurricane Milton. We will contact the Better Business Bureau.

We got what we paid for, not the best hotel/ properties. They have multiple buildings with in 2-3 blocks from each other, so check in was in one building and our actual room was 2-3 blocks away. Breakfast was way far in another building. Rooms need maintenance and better set up. Only plus is that it just 1 street away from Hollywood Beach

DO NOT STAY HERE! The positive reviews are all fake. I booked 2 rooms for my family here 2 weeks ago. In 3 days, i killed over twenty cockroaches, including the ones that woke me up from crawling on my face while i was sleeping. There is NO POOL HERE! The alleged pool, fitness center, breakfast, and 24/7 front desk are all 3+ blocks away at other hotels. Complained to front desk (including the strung out hooker hanging out with clerk), and housekeeping 3 times about roaches. Told me twice they would spray, but never showed up. I left all the cockroaches on the kitchen table when i left. Maybe you'll get lucky and have the same room! I'm sure they cleaned the table. They offered to move rooms, but entire hotel is maybe fifteen rooms, so i'm sure they all have bugs. I just wanted the room sprayed and they didn't show up after telling us they would..twice. I wrote and requested a partial refund. They won't budge. I have full pictures and proof of my kills that will be forwarded to the Dept of Health and every other agency i can find, and i will get my money in Small Claims Court. Save your time and money and stay elsewhere.

Property is full of roaches,AC did not cool and we were told we would get a new room but we did not. People at the office are rude and condescending. Not worth the money for sleepless summer nights surrounded by roaches and the terrible customer service. We were not even offered a discount for thus problems, we were just offered and was told to wait for a call to change rooms,which never happened.

Loved the proximity to the beach, to 2 of the hotel group's pools, and the staff. Thank you for a restful vacation stay!

I repeat DO NOT book here EVER. I checked in on Friday, 7/19/24 took about 40mins to do so as the Front Desk was arguing w/ customers in front of everyone waiting. I went to my room dropped off my bags went to dinner. Came back a few hrs. later walked in our room & it had an infestation of roaches. I took pictures immediately. Grabbed my stuff & ran out. Another family on the same floor across from my room said they had the same experience. Went to the front desk and was quiet about it. I didn't want to make a scene since other customers were checking in. I asked for a refund & they said NO & offered me another room. I said NO I will book w/ another hotel chain. If two rooms have an infestation I'm sure the whole building does. They declined & said rudely take it up w/ Expedia who I booked with. And as I was walking out the front desk lady in front of other customer yelled "yeah we have rats too" & laughed. This is the worst experience I ever had w/ customer service at any hotel chain. And I'm still going back & forth to get my money back.

Location is perfect near beach boardwalk, clean, small town feeling. Breakfast could be organized better, building is showing its age, laundry could be cleaner. Overall we liked it, would definitely come back and recommend it

Worst customer service i have ever seen. Could not stay here because i never got a hold of anyone. 2 hours combined in two days on hold. When we did get a person we were put on hold 4 times! No way to recover lost money. I will make sure i am on any class action lawsuits against them!!

Really, when I arrived, i didn’t like the treatment at the reception, no friendly, no feel welcome. However the the cleaning staff were very friendly

everything was great! from the moment we checked in fernanda at the front desk accomodated ua to a room closer to the pool since we had the kids so grateful for her! the convinience store was a must for our kids! the pool was cleaned every morning which was amazing and so mind easing. i would deff r3ccomens but rooms can use a little bit of tlc. the bed were super comfy too! the kids loved their pullout couch!

Premièrement vraiment déçue de l'accueil, rarement un sourire ils sont là pour prendre ton argent comme de simples bons touristes . La chambre je n'ai pratiquement jamais enlevé mes sandales ! Climatiseur non nettoyé, bas de mur noir , tu dois demander a la réception pour des ustensiles et plats mais tu arrives a la réception ils en ont pas . Je n'ai toujours pas reçu mon retour de dépôt, bref a part le fait que tu es a 2 pas de la plage et que tu dors bien dans le lit ne n'ai pas grand chose a dire de positif.
