Everything was just seamless, completely the best experience. The manager went out of his way to help us with everything. Overlooks ocean on the nice patio and right on the board walk with lots of places to eat, shopping, nice beach. We'll maintained area. It is older place but very very clean and price is right and worth it.

The apartment is perfectly located and the check in process was very smooth, the owners contacted us before and provided all neccessary instructions The apartment has some damages such as not fitting doors which makes them very noisy and difficult to operate. It was also not the best cleaned before arrival, there were also some troubles with the bugs inside such as flies and ants. The sound insulation in the building is very poor

We got the king oceanfront room which looked directly over the Broadwalk, beach and the Atlantic Ocean which was awesome. Tony and staff were great to work with. He got us checked in early, we got a parking spot and then it was time to enjoy the amenities of the Golden Sand and the Hollywood beach area.

We had a fabulous time sitting on the balcony having our coffee while enjoying the beautiful hollywood beach and boardwalk. Tony was a fabulous host and gave immediate feedback. Will definitely visit again.

Beautiful view of the ocean and right on boardwalk. Would have been nice to have some oil or something to cook with but a wonderful place to stay.

I was in 107 which was labeled as a twin studio but was a full size bed. Bed was comfortable, temperature good, ver clean, older place. Excellent terrace. That’s where I spent my time in addition to beach & boardwalk. Has beach chairs, towels & boogie boards. Could hear things at night but you’re on the boardwalk so I expected that & it didn’t bother me. Great for price.

Only 2 rooms have an ocean view but their is a shared balcony area where everyone can enjoy the beautiful beach view. There is a locked gate at the main entrance which is great for safety. Do not bring big bags as you must walk up an inclined narrow staircase. The room was super clean, the beds were comfortable and the water was hot, overall wonderful. If you are planning on cooking there is not much in the kitchen but who cooks with so many good restaurants.

Right on the heart of the action of the Broadwalk. Close to food, drinks, music. The beach within seconds of a walk. Views right from your deck. We loved our stay at this place.

The room is clean and well maintained and had everything needed for a great stay. The oceanfront room has a great view of the beach. Yes, there is some music heard from a downstairs restaurant, but it ends promptly at 11. It did not present any inconvenience and I'd happily stay here again.

I have to mention as I was unaware and may not have noticed when I booked that parking is $25 a day. I have no regrets. Bonus was there is no front desk. There is a number you call and he communicated by phone and by text. So basically, checking in was almost instant. Though you still have to wait for your room to be ready which was at 2 pm for me. ,:-)

Amenities were definitely needed. You gave the room plates and cups with no sink to wash them . The bed was broken underneath. Not worth the price!

Tony was very communicative took care of a small issue we had quickly . The location was perfect and it was awesome to be able to sit on the terrace and see the sunrise . The motel was outdated but the room was spotless and the beds comfy and had all the necessities .

Unit was accommodating and functional. Staff was easy to contact and responded quickly. Fantastic beach view from the room with an outside veranda for sitting and enjoying the site of the ocean and broadwalk. Just steps of away from beach and broadwalk. Yes at Hollywood Beach it is called a "Broadwalk". Many shops, restaurants and sitting areas along the broadwalk. The broadwalk provides for walking, jogging, rollerblading and bicycling. Area is kept clean. Plenty of to do especially if you are and active person.

Waking up to the ocean literally a few steps was exactly what we wanted! Everything else was secondary. It is on the boardwalk so there is noise and music playing very very late, but if all you care about is waking up to the ocean then this is the place!

Loved the location to beach, very nice shared balcony that over looks the beach. Combination on balcony door, which makes me feel very safe from harm. Staff was so nice, easy check in. Staff even carried our luggage up the stairs to our room. Gave us 3 hour early check in. Will be back again. This place is a jewel! Loved it, loved it!!!

Easy to find, the boardwalk has mom &pop restaurants which were fantastic. Keep in mind the Music from the broadwalk goes at least till 11pm/12am. And parking is Tricky, besides Loved our Stay :)

It was a great experience. The room was clean and at a good location. We can easily find some good places to eat lunch or dinner. I love sitting at the balcony to watch people walking around or just go to the beach for the sun! Definitely coming back!

Great area. Only issue is it's a loud beach and the music is inescapable. That is just a preference. We liked it most of the time but it was from 11am to 12am. It was a bit much for us. Maybe 20 years ago would would have loved it but now our yesterdays are about even with our tomorrows.

It was clean and Tony was awesome to deal with. The location can't get any better.The only negative thing I got is the bar below us left it's music playing all night long ,that was irritating ASF after awhile.

For the price you couldn’t beat it. It wasn’t the greatest dwelling but was so conveniently located, it was somewhat of a hidden gem. Perfect for a solo traveler like myself or someone who’s on a budget. I would stay here again myself.

Tony, the owner, was quick with response. Housekeeping ladies were nice and friendly. The property is a little bit outdated, but they're doing their best to keep it clean and well maintained. Patio on the roof is a big plus as well And nothing can bit the area, of course. This is our favorite hotel on the Hollywood Beach so far.

I absolutely loved my stay at Golden Sands! Tony the manager was incredibly responsive, made sure I had what I needed, check-in was a breeze and I had a parking spot on the property (for $25/night but it was very convenient and I was aware of the fee prior). The rooms could use some updates but you are not in your room much so in my opinion I'd rather pay less and understand that it is not a luxury hotel! The shared patio is super nice to sit on and chit chat with other guests along with watching the ocean and listening to the live music all around you. The music did not bother me, during the week it was quiet enough by 10 and on the weekends by 11, so it was not a big deal. The location is amazing - you are directly on the beach and broadwalk so plenty of food choices and easy access if you want to go lay on the beach. There were chairs provided by the property for free or if you want something more extragavant there are plenty of places to rent chairs/umbrellas/etc from. Hollywood itself is a great location as Fort Lauderdate and Miami both are within easy driving distance so I did some adventures beyond just Hollywood but it was nice to have Hollywood to come back to every evening where it was busy but a relaxed busy that I thoroughly enjoyed. My trip was amazing and I'd absolutely stay here again!

We liked the layout of our efficiency, but because it is an older bldg, there are few outlets & some corners needed a more thorough cleaning. We had all we needed, staff were friendly, & the beachfront locale was great. The gate on the right side of the building does not lock, so why require an entry code on the opposide side? Needs attention and awareness for customer safety!

Tony, property manager was so nice and easy to get ahold of! The place provides chairs for the beach (first come first serve) but we had no problem getting them, boogie boards, an umbrella. Beautiful balcony overlooking the beach, walking distance to everything on boardwalk. Great price, experience, and would recommend!

Room was clean but directly above restaurant who played music extremely loud until 2:00am every night. The live music was done around midnight, which was good but then they played the radio so loud the bed shook upstairs. Would never stay in room 201 again but might try a room on the back of building.

The room is above a Cuban restaurant that blasts music non-stop until well past midnight. (4am on weekends. 2am weeknights.) Also, one of the windows had cracked glass and a couldn’t open any of the windows. Based on the other reviews, seems some people are able to deal with the music. Not sure if they were in a different room that was more set back or if some people can just tune it out. For us it was a dealbreaker. We left after one night despite booking a three night stay. The owner did agree to refund the third night, which we appreciated.

Was a nice location very close to beach. Staff was super nice and helpful. Room was a little less than I expected. Bed was very worn and flimsy, not very comfortable. Shower was hard to set knobs to temp because they kept coming off unscrewed. Door was rusted and didn’t deadbolt. Louder than expected all night. I did like the heat/air conditioning it was good output. The kitchenette was nice to prep food or eat. Patio overlooking the beach was nice.

We came back here again because of the good value and great location. Tony the manager on call is awesome, super nice and always answers his phone. The cleaning girl was also so friendly always smiling and accommodating. Some information: no stove, toaster or toaster oven... just a microwave and coffee maker therefore just utensils in the kitchen no pots or pans which was fine for us. There was some coffee and filters in the cabinet but we always bring out own anyway. The 3/4 size fridge with separate freezer was the perfect size for us. Bed was more comfortable than the last time we stayed here a few years ago. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here once again and will be back soon. Thanks

This is an old property, but very well maintained. It is not luxurious, but it is in an amazing location. There is a Cuban restaurant/bar downstairs but the nose did not bother us. The terrace is awesome and a great spot to enjoy a coffee or cocktail or to just people watch. We would return to this property.

We had a very good stay. The rooms are clean and have all that you need. Maybe there needs to be some cosmetic work done but overall, it was great. They were very accommodating--letting us check in early. Very easy check in and they give you all the codes. Easy communication with texting. The property is right on the boardwalk--beach. There is a community balcony to see the ocean and there was even a Candy Cane Parade while we were there and we could watch from the balcony. We would definitely stay again!

I booked last minute for a place to get away from the hurricane. It was clean and the location is great. Owners brought us food and water just to be nice in case the storm reached us.

I had to pay $45 for 1 night parking and walk 1/2 mile back to the BNB. Plus my elderly parents, with walker's, had to traverse 2 flights of stairs that were slick. We couldn't drive anywhere else because we'd have to pay the parking again. None of this was told to us before we booked it and we'd called the Holiday Inn direct number and got VRBO instead. I wasn't happy about it but we were running from a hurricane so what was I going to do? I had to protect my parents. At least they were kind enough to let us check in early and once was contacted by the manager he was very quick to respond. I will say though that those stairs are treacherous. I fell on them and busted my knee and fractured my foot. It's just lucky for them that my parents didn't fall and get hurt. I would have been unable to be reasonable.

Our 3rd time staying at the golden sands. Excellent location and the best view of the ocean. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the owner is very accommodating. We love it!

Right on the beach… above a restaurant, woke up and looked out the window and saw the ocean … beautiful. The motel is nothing fancy, it was a room with 2 beds, bathroom, small kitchen but it was worth very penny. I will return.

Parking is $20 per night, cash, to park but well worth it, otherwise there isn’t public parking close by to park. The hotel is older and definitely needs to be updated. The bed is not verycomfortable and the curtains don’t close all the way. Not very amenities, no ice machine. However, The owner was very responsive when I needed more towels, or had questions. It’s a decent spot if you want an ocean view at a good price.

The hotel is right on the beach, which was great. The room was spacious, but housekeeping doesn't come daily unless you ask for it in advance. We had two towels and one wash cloth and ran out of toilet paper. We received the key via a lockbox. I'm not sure if there is a reception area or lobby. I communicated with Tony via text. He was very kind, professional and responsive. I didn't like not having a person at the front desk lobby to go talk to. The more is a club next door, but the music and noise ended at a reasonable hour. The area was pretty quiet at night and bustling with people during the day. There are several restaurants up and down the boardwalk. Not much in the way of shopping, but there is a convenience store within walking distance. The value for the money was good.

This property is on top of retail and ajacent to a playground on the Boardwalk. Owners seem to be trying and were very helpful. Newer beds and furniture, remodeled bathroom but rusty fridge and very old conference room chairs for seating in room. The outdoor "lobby: ot common seating area was nice. This was a Friday night and playground had adults and children playing on it till almost 1:00 AM. I would recommen staying here if you need an affordable option for a stay at Hollywood beach before leaving on a cruise or flight the next day. Probably not suitable for younger children due to all the night life noise from bars and playground directly below it.

Right on the beach. Close to everything. Lockbox checkin. Parking is $20/day. Right on top of restaurants, short walk to the bandshell with great live music, beach is 20’ away. Only thing to note…. Nobody to help at checkin, units are on the 2nd floor with no elevator, no fan in the bathrooms and windows are sealed shut. Otherwise, a fantastic location.

While Golden Sands Oceanfront is not the fanciest of hotels on the beachfront, it is by far my favorite. Its setting is conveniently located near lots of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Tony, the manager, was friendly, informative, and even allowed us to put our luggage in the room while it was being cleaned because of our early arrival. If you want quaint and comfy, this is your place to stay.

If you love the ocean, this is definitely the place for you! Beautiful view of the ocean, sunrise and sunset, convenient swimming and lounging on the beach. Convenient dining and adult beverage options as well as family friendly, playground for the kids. Would definitely book again.

Was able to accommodate my earlier arrival for my baggage. Which was nice so I could walk around without them. However once I got back to the room after hours I noticed my sheets had hair on them…. Next day they replaced them… That night my smoke alarm kept beeping again after hours. They replaced the battery. Windows in my room might as well not have been there. Could hear EVERYTHING. Restaurant below the hotel stayed opened till 1:30-2am loud music (bring sleeping pills). Staff nice and friendly. Location location location.

The property is in a fabulous location. Our room was old and dated BUT they are in the process of updating many of the rooms. Could be superb!! Staff was friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed this property. Location, location, location. Small number of rooms, private gated entrance, wonderful ocean view patio, and right on the boardwalk. Right on the ocean and boardwalk with many restaurants and stores. Highly recommend and will book again.

This is not like anywhere you have stayed. The day of your check in you will receive instruction for check in. Which includes room number and lock box code. You let yourself into the room. Rooms are the basics of what you need, but cozy well kept and clean. The outdoor patio area is perfect with a variety of chairs and a table. Views on the broad walk and beach are outstanding. Tony (management) and Maritza (housekeeper) are phenomenal! Tony always responded quickly and Maritza was friendly smiling and always a good conversation! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay that isn’t a lavish 5 star hotel this is your place. It’s cozy, beds are comfortable and the location couldn’t be better! We WILL be returning!

I love the location and the staff. You can sit on the terrace on the roof and see everything. There’s music at night and you can enjoy it without leaving the property. I would definitely stay here again.
