The staff was all very helpful and friendly. I hurt my knee and the security guard got me a wheelchair for my use during my stay. The pool was beautiful and clean. We had upgraded to a Cabana room and they didn't show the upgrade but I called the front desk and they fixed the issue immediately. The location was great but it is a very touristy spot which we did not know before coming. The last night we went to the bar area in the lobby and the waitress was a litte rude - but she was the only employee we met who was this way. Everyone else was super helpful and friendly.

The location to “downtown” was perfect. Loved the historic aspect of the building. The walk of stars was right out the front door. Loved the lobby area and how charming it was in the evening. Wished we would have had more time to enjoy the ambiance of it. The hotel was not too crowded or had the feel of not being overly crowded … except the pool area. The staff were very helpful and attentive! Most staff were very knowledgeable about how to get to places and restaurants we had inquired about. Would highly recommended walking a couple blocks to eat at Musso and Frank’s… need reservations. Food and staff here were amazing! Our room was okay. Older hotel and expected older decor, but could use a little upkeep. Our bedside table had broken charge/electric plugs. We don’t want to change rooms since we had already set our suitcases etc. The bathroom floor and other furniture areas within the room appeared as if they had not been mopped or wiped down. The pool area was crowded with what appeared to be people not staying at the hotel. A few people seemed to have large tote beach bags where they went in and changed and had additional children along for the pool time. All 3 times we attempted to lounge by the pool the chairs were taken and groups had spread out like they were making a day of it. As stated before they did not seem to be guests of the hotel. Some areas within a couple blocks were a little sketch with unkept buildings and garbage cans and a lot of abandoned and closed down stores.

The room was lovely, bright, quiet, and comfortable, but it was dusty on the nightstand, the small table, and the bedframe. The refrigerator in the room is not for storing anything; it is only for the hotel’s minibar items. The hallways and walls feel dark and unattractive, and they look dirty. The hallways and walls do not match the room — thank goodness. The complimentary coffee in the garden is a warm touch, but the complimentary bottles of water in the room are limited to two bottles upon arrival. Additional water bottles can be purchased in your room. The pool and café are relaxing, and the food is tasty. Love the vibe in that area. Things move more slowly in the restaurant, which I think is intentional — to help you slow down, relax, and enjoy your stay. It is a dog-welcoming hotel. As a dog lover and owner of three dogs, I was put off by the dogs in restaurants and on the lounge chairs by the pool. The valets are outstanding. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Pool is majestic! Restaurant and bars on the property are worth visiting. While making a reaervation I put a note that we were repeating guests and honeymooners. Hotel very nicely said they were very glad to have us back - i dared to had my hopes up. Upon arrival we had one bathrobe, and one set of toiletries. I asked for the second robe - they brought it only to take back next day. As if i was a joke to them. Obviously no compliment - only the “best” room near the storage room, so we’d wake up around 7am with the hotel staff starting work. Chairs on the balcony were dangerous - metal wires were broken, any wrong move could cost you a visit to the urgent care. No water refill till last day. It’s not the amenities, it’s people who don’t care.

I liked the spacious and historic lobby, the 100 palms (I estimated) Flamingo pool and cafe, the location in the heart of Hollywood Blvd, and the history of the Hotel. I didn’t like that many parts of the hotel were given over to private parties so we could not enjoy them. The Flamingo Pool and Bar are great, fortunately, and we’re always open. I did not like the faulty plumbing in our room. The toilet ran and I could adjust it twice but not the third time. Eventually MTC staff came to replace a part. Also, the shower dripped for most of our stay.

Stayed in the Cabana Room for 5 nights, was a nice room for 2 people. However, received a text during our stay that the Historic Lobby of the hotel would be closed for two days due to a filming event, so we never really got to see the hotel outside of our room and explore what it had to offer (historic lobby, spare room, etc.). On our last day the lobby was open so we walked in and got told by security they were “watching us on the cameras wander around”, questioning if we were guests and that we needed to leave. Rude tone/comment to make considering he would have seen us on the cameras come from our hotel room. When we explained we were staying at the hotel and wanted to see inside he told us we couldn’t be there because of ANOTHER event being held in the room next door, that was never made aware to guests. Also found dried up eye contacts in the bathroom, and hair in my chicken tacos when we got lunch. For the amount of money you spend and amenities unavailable, staff could be nicer.

My husband and I stayed at Hollywood Roosevelt to have a long weekend in Hollywood and see a concert. We loved our stay at Hollywood Roosevelt! Very comfortable room with wildly close access to all things Hollywood Blvd! Despite being right in the heart of Hollywood, our room was very quiet, cozy and relaxing. I tend to struggle with a good night rest in hotels, but we had great nights of sleep and mid-days naps. Comfortable bed. Beautiful space full of lovely details and creativity. All staff was very helpful and kind. Incredible location, we were able to walk to the Hollywood Palladium from the hotel. We look forward to our next stay here!!

Please skip the show "Down the Rabbit Hole". It was so bad we left 30 minutes in. The sound was loud and tinny that it hurt, the acting was bad, the dancers were not in synch, and it made no sense at all. They are trying to be this raunchy cabaret, but it failed in every single way. The 5 star reviews this is getting have to be fake. My stay at Hollywood Roosevelt would have been perfect if I had not wasted over $250 at this "show".

It is not a family friendly location whatsoever. As an example good luck using the pool, pool area is nothing more than hook up place like a frat party of people hanging around drinking alcohol. Mostly singles and odd at that. Everything at hotel is much overpriced and nothing complimentary. Examples a bottle of water $11 bucks in room, no complimentary coffee in morning anywhere. You have to buy a small cup of coffee from them for $7.77. Fyi, your better off staying somewhere else off the Hollywood Blvd too. Hollywood and Highland is a dump and unsafe to be.

What’s frustrating is that the room was specifically advertised as a queen room. This wasn’t just a comfort issue, it was a completely different bed size than what was booked and paid for. To their credit, the hotel waived the destination fee and gave us a small food/drink credit after we complained, but it didn’t change the fact that the room itself was misrepresented. The hotel has a cool atmosphere and history, but for the price, I expected the room description to be accurate. Double check exactly what bed you’re getting before booking.

The service here is absolutely first-rate. A huge shout-out to Mo at valet, Rocco handling the bags, and Mark & Benjamin at the front desk, who went completely out of their way to lock in the exact room we wanted in the tower. Everything about this property is amazing and the value is great too. My one complaint is that the dining options keep decreasing. The breakfast and burger place on the Boulevard is closed and the signature restaurant closes early for some reason. The kitchen closed at 9 on a Thursday night when the restaurant and the lobby were packed. I presume this is some consultant telling them this is a good way to cut costs, but they never take account of lost revenue or loss of goodwill with guests who want to eat after coming home from an event.

It’s great iconic hotel. I do have to say it is quite outdated which I did figure but the amenities were not the best and the staff didn’t know basic things about the hotel for example where the ice machine was. But charging 75 a day to keep your car on the property was one of the most egregious things of the trip. I get paid parking the hotel I work at does it but 75 a night… that is definition of gouging your guests. Maybe tie in free or discounted parking for guests. Room was clean and tidy. Restroom was shockingly small though.

Nice hotel with a twenty - four hour gym, which is important. Good central location. We would have given this property five - stars though we're not fans of their parking situation. Very expensive and valet only; and the valet team seems overworked, which adds to the inconvenient waiting time for your automobile. At the very least a " pre - pay " option ought to be offered to their customers who stay a mimimum amount of days, offering a bulk - rate discount for parking .

When we were having drinks in the lobby, a suspicious person started talking to us. She was soon removed by the security, and the hotel staff explained that she stole a hotel key card to drink for free. The staff apologize for that and was very kind. But if you are staying in this area, know that the Hollywood Blvd is really sketchy. We were glad to have stayed in this iconic hotel, but we would probably stay outside of this area and take a ride to this area to enjoy theaters and stores on our next trip to Hollywood.

Hotel is historic and beautifuI, loved the look and vibe of the whole property. I was disappointed to have a room on the 3rd floor, not only was there no view, the windows were frosted to obscure roof right outside. Besides the lack of natural light, the room was comfortable and quiet. Bathroom had beautiful deep tub and great shower, needs hooks installed for hanging robe/clothing. Lounging at the pool, reading & swimming was a highlight and pool was perfect temp. Pool staff not super attentive. At check-in the desk staff did not share any orientation info about hotel with me and also did not activate my room key, so I had to come back down to the desk - she didn’t apologize or acknowledge her error which I found surprising and unprofessional. On the second night we found a dental flosser underneath the covers of a freshly made bed - staff acknowledged this shouldn’t have happened but offered nothing to make up for this extremely gross situation. I’m glad I stayed at the Roosevelt once. It was a splurge for me and I expected an overall better experience for what I paid. I doubt I will stay here again.

The Hollywood Roosevelt is very centrally located in an extremely touristy area. Despite being right in the mix of all things Hollywood, it was extremely quiet and relaxing in the hotel. The pool area is a wonderful urban oasis and is worth spending at least a half day there. We loved relaxing at the pool between our morning and late afternoon outings.

This was a wonderful experience. We stayed in the Roosevelt suite which was clean and spacious for our family of 4. The pool was a great bonus, very clean , spacious and not too cold! Rochelle was especially kind and professional to us, going out of her way to give us a small tour we requested and showing us some of the most fascinating places in the hotel and teaching us some of the history. I felt very safe, as security was always on post to ensure everything went smoothly. The food at the hotel was great and the room service speedy and professional. When we visit again we will certainly choose Hotel Roosevelt!

I have fun every time I go here and the staff is great. The hotel shows it's age in some spots but it's a fun getaway. The pool is a classic and a great way to spend a few hours between seeing things in LA. You can walk out to Hollywood Blvd for a bit then chill in your room or by the pool. It is hard to find a pool chair on weekends and it is first come first serve so get your spot early. The staff is always great. Parking is ridiculously expensive and I haven't been there one time when the main lounge wasnt being used for an event at least one day. Overall I enjoy my stays and will be going again. It's the best way to experience Hollywood and then get away from all that crazy when you're tired of it!

The lobby and front of the hotel is beautiful however the rooms are not. They are dated, dark and grungy looking. He toilet is my bathroom kept running for hours, the bathroom door wouldn’t close and we had to get an engineer in to fix the air conditioning more than once. Given what they charge and the location, the rooms need a lot of work and I believe the hotel should invest into this. We couldn’t use the amenities as everything was closed due to the Oscar’s. This should have been communicated when booking the hotel, not 2 days prior to checking in. Overall disappointing experience.

This hotel is a bit of smoke and mirrors. There was hair in the corner of my bed and the sheets had an unpleasent smell. They charged me a random charge for no reason, that was not included on the check out receipt and I've emailed them 4 times to follow up with no response. A huge grift.

This iconic hotel located in the heart of Hollywood near all tourist attractions is simply overrated and overpriced!! It may have been a legendary hotel at one time, but it is 2026 and they ain't it anymore. Pool is decent but the snacks suck! Staff is rude and the manager tried to charge me for an extra night after I called reception ahead of time to let them know I was only spending 3 nights there instead of 4. I had just flown cross country, was exhausted, and jetlagged, and all I wanted to do was lay down in the bed in my room. The manager (obviously foreign because he barely spoke English) made me wait over an hour to check in. Will I go back, definitely not in the "high season" when they easily rip off tourists with exuberant price. I MIGHT consider going back if the staff takes some hospitality courses on how to be POLITE to a customer. Still a cool place to party if that's what you do, but the days of celebrities staying there and partying long into the morning doing lines of coke and drinking cheap boozer are over!! Final warning: be careful when you book. It's extremely difficult to contact the front desk directly. The manage will claim that it is a 3rd party's fault. New management is desperately needed!!!

Prior to my arrival, I emailed the hotel to inquire about any birthday accommodations or special touches. Unfortunately, I never received a response. When we checked in, I also spoke with the front desk and asked if it would be possible to arrange something simple, like a birthday banner, and was told someone would follow up with me. Regrettably, no one ever did. While the hotel itself is undeniably beautiful and full of character, I was disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through, especially given the significance of the occasion and the Roosevelt’s reputation for hospitality. It left me feeling that what was a very special milestone for us was overlooked. I’m sharing this feedback because I truly believe in the magic and legacy of this hotel, and I hope future guests celebrating meaningful life moments receive the level of attentiveness that makes a stay at the Roosevelt feel as exceptional as its history suggests.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the historic Roosevelt Hotel. Its design and decor is gorgeous Old Hollywood. We had a loft room on the top floor, and it was great. We had a 45 dollar drink credit which we were initially told counted two drinks we had ordered… then told it didn’t…then that it was… anyway never ended up getting the 45 dollar credit, instead they comped us 15 dollars. For almost 500 dollars a night I at least expected to be able to sleep. Very disappointed. It was my first time staying there and I will not be going back.

It was a beautiful hotel located right on Hollywood Blvd. You walk out the door, it’s right there. The staff was very nice It’s an older hotel, but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. No coffee maker in the room. They did have some in the lobby, but when it’s gone, it’s gone. Your best bet is to walk over to McDonald’s and get yourself a cup. There is a mini fridge stocked with drinks, but you pay for anything you drink or eat. We bought a couple water bottles and put them in there. I felt safe there, even at night. There’s always a lot of people. We were anywhere from 10-20 minutes away from all other attractions. We Ubered everywhere. I would definitely recommend. I would also stay there again.

The staff lacked clear communication and seemed to not have much knowledge of what was open/closed. We stayed here specifically for the allure and the pool but the pool was closed the entire time we were there- were told it was cloudy and may rain- I didn’t end up raining until 6pm one day. The bowling alley, we were told would be open at 8 that night but never opened and then front desk indicated it wasn’t opening at all until the following day. The theatre was showing a movie but was something that needed a ticket to be purchased…literally nothing for a family to do onsite except sleep (over the Christmas break), it was strange compared to our last stay a few years ago. Room service was amazing for breakfast and the cleaning/room staff was so sweet and kind!!

At 4pm they went upstairs to relax before their evening out, and discovered the television didn't work. They called the desk, but no one answered. When they were finally connected, they were told someone would be up right away. At 5pm they called again. And again they were reassured someone would come up immediately to look at the tv.! At 6 pm they called again! and ten minutes later two technicians showed up and determined the tv wasn’t functioning. They were asked if they wanted to change rooms and they said "yes". At that point, they had 10 minutes to switch to room 1023, as they were meeting a ride at 6:30. In neither of the two rooms did they use the minibar. In the morning they went downstairs for breakfast at 25 Degrees. Her husband ordered a bagel and cream cheese and coffee. He was informed the restaurant was out of cream cheese! They discovered a charge for $10.98 for a can of Pringles from their second room's minibar. Before I alert Yelp, please respond to their concerns as they've relayed this experience to the hotel's management. Abby Dart

The Roosevelt is one of the best places to stay in Hollywood. You have access to the strip the Hollywood walk of fame, Runyon Canyon and more. The hotel has so many different places to hang out. You can enjoy an upscale experience at the pool or at the restaurant upstairs, they have a nice fitness center and the rooms are always wonderful.

For the most part, it’s a great hotel. A few years ago, though in the mornings in the lobby, they used to have coffee and rolls and danishes that you could get. I wish they would do that again. It was set up on their lobby bar. The Valet parking seems steep at $75 a night. Seems like if you’re staying overnight it should be the same rate as what an event person would pay $25, so I don’t know if they’re just trying to curb extra cars. Could use a spot by the pool to watch games. I noticed there was a bar area near the pool that wasn’t in use could be perfect for sports viewing.

Not your run-of-the-mill hotel. Older property steeped in history with warm, interesting architecture with a lot of heart. Excellent staff -- especially Falcon at the front desk and Raul at the pool bar. I had a little trouble keeping the room temperature constant, but I'll attribute that to user error. Overall a truly enjoyable experience that I hope to repeat soon.

The Hollywood Roosevelt is a storied hotel with a lot of history. I was greatly looking forward to my stay. And it started off well, with all the staff I encountered being very friendly and helpful upon check-in. But the room itself was dark and basically just a big bed with a TV on the wall, with almost zero extra space for my luggage. Very unimpressive. Then I was awoken by a 6:00 AM fire alarm. But that can happen anywhere. But every morning I was awoken at 8:00 AM by the VERY loud conversation that the Housekeeping ladies would have near my room, which didn't allow me to sleep in, despite my Do Not Disturb sign. And I had trouble getting to sleep every night because of the loud, drunk young people staying at this party hotel. Plus, the air conditioning didn't work properly and would stop in the middle of the night and I'd wake up at some point due to how hot it was and try to get it back going. So given all of that, would I stay there again? Possibly, if I wanted to be on Hollywood Blvd, because of the location and the Hollywood history, but probably not because of the condition of the room and the AC and mostly because of the multiple never-ending noise issues.

However . . . the AC in my room was ancient and extremely noisy, with a pounding sound whenever in the cooling cycle--this went on all night since the weather was hot. The hallways were dark and right out of 1920. The maids/maintenance people did not seem to know when a guest had checked out--at 8:30 am a maid knocked on the door, and at 10 am a workman barged into my room without knocking. I was in a state of major undress. Don't think I will be going back.

Comfortable beds, huge shower with toiletries, gowns & fluffy towels. We opted for the Valet Parking, whilst $75 per day may seem expensive we wanted the reassurance and convenience it offered and it didn’t disappoint. The location is perfect for walking along Hollywood Boulevard and then driving to many other attractions etc My only tip is to double check your bill - we were almost charged for mini bar items that we hadn’t had - it was quickly sorted however. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here!

Second time she gave me a hard time about a wrist band even though I was already wearing one. I mean for what it is the property is pretty cool. The academy bar on the mezzanine is worth the visit alone. If you like food at all do not order from the pool area dining options. Most bland and offensively tasteless “Thai” chicken salad I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating. Also was staying here for my birthday and while I certainly did not expect a cake with candles the fact that it wasn’t recognized at all is pretty lame, especially when they ask in the stay notes. With the cold and very unwelcoming clerk I checked in with, not a very good impression at all. If I had to do it again I’d just have stayed here maybe one night, certainly not all 3.

For additional charge, I reserved a poolside cabana. When I checked in, they gave a pool adjacent room that was behind the restaurant. I called the front desk and she said they don’t have anymore and I could move to a different room and she will get back to me. 20 minutes later I walked down to the front desk. I told the gentleman at the front desk what had happened and he said no problem. Let me see what I can do. He gave me a poolside cabana as requested. When I got to the room, the temperature was 80° inside. The air conditioning had been running, but apparently it was not working. I talked to a maintenance man that was in the hallway. He came in and confirm that the Airconditioning was not working. I went down to the front desk again and the gentleman said I could give you a king room. IIt’s a little larger than regular king. He said it usually cost more than the poolside cabana, which I highly doubt, I had no choice to pay a premium and not get what was agreed upon. So with going to the three rooms, I just shaved an hour off of when I was supposed to be catching up with my children. Not cool in fact, he said I’m not surprised because those cabanas often have problems. I said maybe you should NOT offer them if they have problems cause it’s your reputation that you ruined.

The property was okay. I enjoyed the food, the people, the staff, and accommodations. However, I had issues with the pool being full of guests that were not hotel guests, the safe in my room malfunctioning, being groped by a man I didn’t know at the pool, and loud noise on the streets to wake me up from my sleep. The hotel accommodated me for every issues I had, so they did a wonderful job! Shout out to Danny for making my experience great! Also Dustin, and the pool security for taking my concerns seriously. The one winning factor is that we booked a suite that had wonderful square footage. That said, it was located behind the Hotel Roosevelt sign. Fun to see all the action down below during the day, however at night when you are trying to sleep the noise is so bothersome. That is why the nightstands are equipped with earplugs. The sofa sleeper in the additional room is very large and very uncomfortable , it should come with a pillow top mattress at the very least. The bathroom floor was filthy, I don't think it had been cleaned in awhile and there were only one set of towels for the 4 people staying in the room. The pool staff are incredibly rude. They do not make you feel welcome even when you state that you are a hotel guest. It was because of this that we are deciding not to rebook at the Roosevelt hotel in the future. We did not feel welcome as we had in the past stays. Really love the Old Hollywood feel of the pool area. Lastly, it was a bummer to see the valet attendants publicly not get along...disagreeing with one another openly in front of the guests. We were not the only ones feeling uncomfortable with knowing that there was lack of cohesiveness within this property...it was apparant throughout.

We were upgraded to a balcony cabana room which was beautiful! Great amenities and enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning. Friday night was a bit rough with the party at the pool but it runs between 8-12. Maybe consider that room if you need quiet or have a young family. As a couple it didn’t bother us. The hotel is in a grungy area of Hollywood. Close to the Chinese theatre, Dolby theatre, Dodgers Stadium,Universl Studios, Hollywood bowl and B train line which made getting around easy. Anything else was a shortish Uber away. But if going to the Forum,Sofi stadium or Rose Bowl this hotel is far and was costly to get too and from with Ride shares.

Great and historic hotel! Prices are a bit high, but I stayed here on a birthday getaway so I allowed myself a little splurge. But for the price, the Roosevelt could have offered a complimentary breakfast for hotel guests in a private room. Just a recommendation. 🙂

It’s old and done, uncared for. It’s a name that once was and now no more. Close it down. Can I have my money back??? Most facilities closed and not open all week. Staff mediocre.

I waited to get a chair at the pool the whole and nothing, I think there needs to be a better system in place, otherwise I had a great stay.

The property was in a good location and the pool and restaurants were all very good. The only downside was not having tea/coffee making facilities in the room

PROS: convenience. Right in the heart of Hollywood so you don't need to walk far for anything. Seriously comfortable beds Rooms are very quiet Room service was exceptional Easy check in and out Polite staff CONS: Room was crazy small. Felt really cramped. No coffee maker in the room Windows did not open at all. Not even a crack Elevators kept breaking down Overall experience- 8 out of 10 stars.

Hotel was in a great location for walking Hollywood Blvd and getting to the Hollywood Bowl. The staff was great from the valet to checkin. The room was perfect and the beds were comfortable after a long day.

Brasserie Shirley is rather costly and bad value what with some very mediocre menu items , like the caesar salad. And $8.00 for a demi-baguette is quite over the top, considering in Paris it is priced @ 0.50 (U.S.). So forth and so on....

Area surrounding the property is littered with homeless. Not a safe area to walk around at night.

The staff is awesome. The hotel is very neat and unique, with lots of history and staff that are knowledgable and must really love the hotel. Location is about as good as it gets if you want to be right at the heart of the main Hollywood walk of fame area. The rooms were clean and felt relatively updated, nice tub/shower/bathroom. We got a pretty cheap room, so it was nothing extravagant, I am sure the nicer rooms are... nicer, but for the price I was happy with it. The pool area is great, and the other bars that we tried were also nice. Drink prices were high, but to be expected at a destination hotel. There was a lot of action too when we went, setting up for some filming on the top floor, taking down an outlandish production level set from a multi million dollar wedding, a movie premier right outside the doors.

Our room had been refurbished with modern touches. Our bed’s and pillows were really comfortable and the hotel staff friendly and welcoming. The hotel is on Hollywood Boulevard so you can step out onto the stars. Great location for many food options and shopping. We would happily book a stay here again.
