The staff was super nice and helpful (and patient with all the questions and requests). Overall, the hotel had exceeded most of our expectations, and we would stay here again when we need to be in LA, especially for an extended stay like the last one.

It was a fun cute place to stay that was perfect walking distance to the Palladium. The staff is very friendly and the room was clean and comfy. We loved all the Hollywood memorabilia everywhere.

Good space and taste. Great personnel.

Hotel was nice and in a convenient location, Pool was clean and facilities were well maintained. There was not an option to self park your vehicle only valet parking available at a cost for parking. This was the only inconvenience as it made it a little difficult to come and go. However, they were readily available.

This is a wonderful property, aesthetic is mid-century modern; 50s/60s hollywood. I am from Palm Springs so this was like bringing home with me as it is what I see all the time. Hotels.com has some of the pics incorrect so I suggest going online and looking up The Hollywood Franklin, there has been a few name changes at this property. The pool was nice, Clark Street Diner is downstairs and has a perfect morning breakfacst in a 60s or 70s Diner setting. The staff was great, check in was a breeze. No sure why the valet is mandatory but it's included so no big deal, just a little bit of a wait if there's only one person. Everyone so nice and accommodating. The shower head was leaking but not horrible, looks more like someone was too forceful with it. This bed was comfortable but will need a new pillow top soon. Carpet was clean, decor was georgeous.

Good location to visit Griffin observatory , Hollywood bvd , trails and studios. Walking distance to metro station. Quiet and clean room on the back of building. Comfortable king-size bed. No terrace. Helpful staff.

Room is comfortable with plenty of space and beds are nice. Wifi worked excellent and hotel staff were welcoming. Regarding the hotel, location is very good and infrastructure is in good condition overall, the swimming pool is heated. Prices ar good compared to similar hotels during my booking, food from restaurant in hotel is also good. Prices on hotel restaurant are on the high side. Room windows dont do a great job of insulating car noise from the street. Bathroom door on my room didnt feel very private , can be a bit of a problem when traveling with friends.

I liked that it was close to everything and that it seemed to be walking distance to Hollywood and the sign as well rooms were clean and spacious We had a issue with check in days we booked the booking.com and we rang the hotel to change the date the person who answered the phone wasnt helpful and kept talking over us trying to explain what we wanted in the end we got the dates cleared up after contacting booking.com we were told we would hear from the hotel to confirm the date change by email within 48 hours kept checking my email and never received a update so we rang the hotel and unfortunately got the same person we got before and same thing happened except this time he was eventually able to help us i understand they get alot of people ringing regarding changes but abit of manors and respect doesn't go a stray either The water pressure isn't that great and the hot water and cold water was switched meaning hot was cold and cold was hot after trying for a couple of minutes to get hot water I had to ring front desk to find this out
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice and clean, only downfall is that they don’t have self parking. You need to pay for valet very inconvenient
- 4/5
It was a little dusty even inside the coffee machine. The decorative pillow needed some love. When my son lay on it, dust came out of it. I'm allergic to dust, but overall it was pretty cool.
- 2/5
They show you one room in photo and then put you in another smaller room (even though you paid for a bigger room). Desk clerk says all the rooms are different and don't necessarily correspond with photos. I showed description and photos of room booked online, and how it doesn't match the reality of the tiny room we got. He said there was nothing he could do, it was a management decision out of his control and the hotel was fully booked. The old bait-and-switch scheme. Beware.

The hotel was clean and had everything ready including tea and coffee. Staff too happy to help with anything you asked them. Coming from Australia would have liked to have a little bit of milk rather than creamer powder. But this was a small thing that didn’t really affect the overall stay at the hotel. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Hotel has real charm and location was great. Pool was amazing.
- 4/5
The location is fantastic, walking distance from the walk of fame and near the hollywood studios. The hotel also looks great with in classic hollywood style and pictures or signatures from actors on every surface. The room and bathroom were spacious and had all the facilities we required. Unfortunately we were unable to check out the pool because our planning in LA was too tight to discover additional facilities in the other buildings of the hotel. The valet parking was not necessary for us since we wanted to drive to a lot of locations (Anaheim and Santa Monica) therefore the mandatory service was excessive for our stay.
- 3/5
Proximity to the Hollywood walk of fame and fairly close to all attractions within Hollywood. The entire facility didn't appear as clean as it should. The room was not well kept. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Instead there was a window which was kept open and due to which we found a large trail of bugs coming in the bathroom.

We had a really great stay at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, including the valet team, who were always kind and welcoming. The room was very spacious, with plenty of space to organize clothes and store luggage comfortably, which made the stay much more convenient. The location was also great and made it easy to get around and visit different places. Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely stay here again. The only downside was that we could hear noise from other rooms and from the street quite easily.

Fabulous. Lovely stay at this hotel. Great location for touristing - walking distance of the stars and many other areas of interest. A couple of shops/ gas stations nearby for gas and snacks. Nice comfy room. Loved the theme of the hotel. Friendly staff. Great little pool area. The on site diner - great food but didn’t appreciate trying to be pushed to 22% tipping / spotted the server changing the tip amount so changed it back. She was friendly but come on it was one round of pancakes. Diner not run by hotel but guests should be aware.

The asian receptionist has a big attitude problem. The bathroom is quite dirty when we arrive. The valet person, probably Fred, is nice though.
- 4/5
The pool is right in the middle of all the rooms so we didn’t use it as I felt it would bother some guests. Also, be aware if your booking from a value website…they don’t mention the mandatory valet parking situation. Cost us an extra $40. Likely would have picked a different hotel if that had been worked into the price.

The location is exceptional for access to the walk of the stars and Capitol records. The hotel operates a valet service only for car parking during your stay. It costs 38 dollars at the desk for the nights parking and a 10 dollar tip for the valet agent when retrieving you car. There is a swimming pool for the guests, which is a nice touch if you are staying with kids. We had the breakfast in the hotel diner, of which the food was acceptable by and large. I didn't like the fact we were charged a 20% supplement fee because we were a group of 3 children and 4 adults. I am told this is standard practice, but it is unfair on families with kids to have to pay extra when families are classified as groups.

- 4.5/5
Loved the theming. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pool area was cute. Beds comfortable. Nice shower. Lots of space. There was nowhere to refill water in our section of the hotel had to go past reception and up in the elevator.
- 5/5
A fun and pleasant hotel designed with a Hollywood theme. Room was colorfully furbished. Only a few minutes' walk to Amoeba Music, Pantages Theater, TCL Chinese Theater, etc. In other words, very convenient. There's a cute swimming pool in the courtyard. Parking is via valet only.
- 5/5
Our room was extremely spacious, and we were pleasantly surprised to find both a refrigerator and microwave. We also loved the in-room radio and had a great time listening to 104.3 FM while getting ready each night. The view was spectacular. We paid extra for a room with a view of the Hollywood sign, and it was completely worth it. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were honestly some of the best we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. The only downside was that the water pressure could have been better. Each morning, we started our day with coffee from Clark Cafe, conveniently attached to the hotel, and we also enjoyed drinks at the bar in the evenings. We tried the French 75 and the Lost World — both were delicious, but the Lost World with two cherries was my favorite! Overall, we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel. And if you visit, don’t forget to take photos in the iconic stairwell filled with autographed photos — it makes for the perfect Hollywood-style photo shoot!
- 3/5
The room was VERY loud to the outside traffic but the AC was louder so that helped drown out the noise. Also, though the room overall was clean, the carpet was old and fraying and there was a bad odor the entire stay. It was ok for our stay and close enough to what we wanted it for but I’m not sure we would stay again.
- 2/5
We paid about $50 in fees when we arrived that were not mentioned in the booking. It is a cute place, but we wont be back. Pricing should be laid out up front.

- 2.5/5
The interior design is really cute. The cleaning is good. Room cleaning is only provided upon request, and the front desk staff seemed annoyed every time we asked. Our room was extremely noisy because it faced a main road, and we could only sleep with earplugs. The coffee machine was defective and leaking water, and the laundry area was a mess with dirty towels all over the floor. The worst part, however, was the incredibly rude and unfriendly reception staff, especially one Hispanic woman with glasses. They ignored guests, avoided greeting people, and acted irritated whenever we asked a question. Very disappointing experience... never again.

Our recent stay was unpleasant to say the least. Upon checking in, the man at the counter was unfriendly. The room had an odor, the furniture had not been cleaned well and the wifi didn't work the entire time. Upon notifying staff that the wifi wasn't working, we were told "sorry, we've never had a problem with that room before". Reviews for this hotel were mixed. Save your money, and stay somewhere else.
- 4/5
Love this classic old Hollywood spot for our Pantages shows. Easy access, great valet services (Hi Fred), and personable customer service. Max recognizes us every time and is so accommodating. Great onsite cafe with a fantastic true cappuccino and fresh daily bakery items. This was probably our fifth or so stay here & we love it. Walk to the theatre. Fantastic, safe location.
- 5/5
The hotel was very good. We really enjoyed the amazing atmosphere created by all the photos of past and present stars of the screen and music world. Its location is super convenient to everything in Hollywood and Universal studios! The diner is super cool with its history and very yammy food! Would definitely stay here again!!!

The decor is awesome. The restaurant and bar are so cool looking. Breakfast was good but didn't love dinner. Bar closes at midnight.

A fun themed place to stay. Lots of fun pictures. Cafe was very convenient. Was walking distance to theater we went to. Bathroom window was duct taped as it was broken.
- 4/5
The room came with coffee and tea facility and the diner next door was amazing for food - we were more impressed with the diner than the hotel! The staff were friendly but struggled to understand the process with the parking and valet, but it was simple after we worked out. The parking is reasonably priced and had no issues and is available 24/7! The location is close walking distance to the Hollywood boulevard for the stars, but please note that Beggers and homeless is in the masses in the area and we did feel a little scared at some point with people following us. Driving to Santa Monica, down Rodeo drive and up to the observatory was amazing! We saw the sunrise and sun set.

We loved the historic locations vicinity which was close too the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to go. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved the memorabilia on the walls all over the hotel. So much history in one location. It is what I will consider a boutique hotel. It is not a new facility so if you’re looking for that, maybe it’s not for you, but personally, I really liked looking at all of the history of the building and the memorabilia contained within.
- 4/5
Location was one mile from our event. Easy freeway access. Fairly quiet except sirens. Great diner attached. TV with many channels. Parking on site. Fair price for location. Would like larger waste paper baskets and 2-ply toilet paper.

Great staff such a cute vibe we will be back for sure!
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel were wonderful. They graciously helped us with each request, holding bags, where should we dine, how can we get the the Hollywood Bowl......I thought that the front desk staff were the hotel owners, they took such pride and care with each customer. Our room was large and updated, with easy access to the pool, elevator and stairs. There is a cute sitting area just outside the lobby. The diner at the hotel was excellent. The food was great, ervice was fantastic and servings were plentiful. The bakery selection looked wonderful. I would happily stay here again. I can't think of anything that would make this stay better.
- 3/5
Overall okay except a few minor issues. Room was spacious and bed was super comfortable. Shower was also very spacious compared to any hotel I’ve visited. However, there was no phone to call the front desk and the tv wasn’t working at all. I had to walked down to the desk and told the guy but he only mentioned one thing which wasn’t solving the issue. I came back to my room and tv still didn’t work but I gave up because I did not want to walk up and down again.

Great location for downtown Hollywood. Old school charm. Well kept up.
- 4/5
Location is very convenient being close to the freeway and other tourists attractions. The hotel has a great movie theme! Only downside is the room we got was facing towards the road and the windows are VERY thin so it can be very noisy at night with traffic. The cafe downstairs was good.

Love the rooms ( As long as you are given a room at the back of the hotel I suppose as Franklin is a busy street , Spacious , fun , cool decor , nice large bathroom , great shower pressure , mini fridge We were pool side . it was quiet , very comfortable beds , we were very happy with our overnight stay and would stay there again I used to go to the 101 diner , now Clark Street but unchanged , good option for breakfast , Did not go to the mini bar this time but its still there as well The cost of parking .. 38 dollars a night , a bit much , but its safe to say!
- 4/5
Excellent diner right in the hotel. Room was cute and nicely decorated. Comfortable. But room was close to a freeway and window didn't seal well, so it was a little noisy. We were able to create some white noise with the air conditioner.

It was ok. I don’t think guests should be paying for parking. Limited outlets. Had to choose between having the a/c unit plugged in or a lamp. Iron was busted. Other iron leaked. We had internet to t.v. Connection problems. Had to use my mobile hot spot for television access. The bed was ok on the firm side.

Overall, I loved my stay there. It was a charming place with a feel of old Hollywood. Location was excellent. Very cool. I would definitely stay there again. If I have anything to critique is that it may be time to replace some of the furniture, tabletops were stained. A window needed washing badly and the TV was very difficult to figure out. I was unable to work it. The shower pressure was not good.

We came to Hollywood for a play at the Pantages and chose this location for proximity and price. I'm glad we did. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and eager to make our stay a good one. The room was clean, and comfortable and provided every we needed. I appreciate that they didn't gouge us for parking like most other places do. Next time we are in the area for an event, we will definitely come back to stay here.
- 5/5
Love the convenience of the location. Close to the walk of fame and a seven minute drive to Universal Studios.
- 5/5
The vibe is incredible. Old Hollywood. Just the street noise, but that's LA;)
- 5/5
The property is well kept and maintained. Can be tricky to get into if you’re a noob to Hollywood like me. Nothing terrible. The property is exceptional. The people that work here are all amazing! Every single one! Front desk, valets, housekeepers! These folks should offer their services to big hotels on how to treat guests. The Clark Street Diner inside the hotel is very good and the service staff are very friendly and excellent. If you have a chance to stay here, do it! You will not regret it!! Everything was excellent. Nothing to dislike.
- 5/5
Very clean!
- 4/5
Great location and lots of fun history. Fantastic to have Clark's Diner in the hotel - we had a delicious breakfast. The beds were clean and very comfy! The room itself doesn't feel as clean as the beds - partly because the bench covers were stained and felt dirty. I didn't sit on them. We were facing the freeway, so with such thin windows, it was extremely noisy.

スタッフの人が気さくで優しく教えてくださり、とても良かったです。

This hotel is clean and comfortable. Great theme throughout.

Unique and beautiful rooms. Small chair area for pool but beautiful pool. Close to the Griffin observatory but otherwise not a great location.
- 4/5
Clean room. Property had cool decor. Just a bit aged. Overall a great experience.
- 3/5
The design liens, heavily themed and over decorated – the kind of aesthetic that felt bold at opening, but has an aid gracefully. Most surfaces show visible where which compounds the dated field. My book room advertised the Mountain View, which turned out to be a partial glimpse past the road and freeway – heavy traffic noise included. To their credit, the staff were genuinely helpful and move me to a pool facing room, which was a real improvement. The AC unit was loud and sound sounded like it needed servicing. That said, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and functional – exactly what you need after a long day. Bottom line: perfectly acceptable for a single night when you just need to place a land. But I wouldn't build a vacation around it.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly welcoming staff.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and well decorated, the bed comfortable. The pool was small and had little sun, due to the location in the courtyard. The diner was great, delicious breakfast.
- 5/5
Very unique hotel. Room clean and spacious. Diner in bldg very good. Bar nice.
- 5/5
Great location for great prices. Very clean, will do this again.
- 3/5
The hotel is just ok, the room is spacious, bathroom ok and fairly clean but the hotel itself smells of grease ( i assume from the restaurant) but the smell radiates into the rooms. They could do with strong air fresheners. The shower is big with good amenities but the bed sheets are awful and just get all tangled up, a proper duvet cover should be used it’s just lazy and makes the sleep unpleasant. The air conditioner sounds like a plane taking off, so you have to keep turning on and off to keep ok temp. Overall it’s ok, but wouldn’t return.
- 5/5
Only thing, shower is a little tight, and the shower head was pretty high. I’m 5’11” and had to reach for it to adjust spray pattern
- 5/5
A fun experience for our family. Short walk to Walk of Fame. Food within walking distance. Rooms and decor are fun and interesting. Wonderful pool area. Super friendly valet.
- 4/5
I had an excellent stay here! They are super close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and all the main attractions in the area. It’s easy to get around and access to everything. The property was clean and had enough to keep you entertained.
- 5/5
Everything was great, I find the lack of daily room service is a surprising choice. I feel like this should be standard in the hotel industry.
- 5/5
We loved our stay here. Charming and convenient location. It was a great base for us in LA!
- 5/5
Hotel was definitely unique and beautiful. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking is strictly valet. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size but the shower took a few minutes to warm up. The diner served good food and had great staff. Take the stairs, they’re are lined with a variety of autographed photos. The property is in a safe and quiet neighborhood.

Great location, clean and friendly staff!
- 5/5
The hotel was recently renovated and all the rooms and public spaces were redecorated to reflect the Hollywood theme. Hotel is well-located with a bar, an amazing restaurant/diner and swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. Due to its location, there is some street noise but I did not find it to be particularly problematic. I really enjoyed my stay at the Hollywood Franklin and will return.
- 5/5
Cute hotel at a great price
- 5/5
The Franklin Hollywood place was great. My family and I have stayed there before and loved it nice and clean rooms, the staff was awesome and friendly. If we needed anything they would accommodate. The pool was crystal as well and the best part is that it’s just minutes away from Universal Studios.
- 5/5
Great location, enjoyed the diner located in hotel
- 4/5
This is a very nice hotel that is walking distance to the hollywood bldv area and only a 5 minute drive to universal studios. Its also very close to a lot of good takeout restaurants that you can walk to. We felt safe enough to walk at night in this area as well. The hotel itself is very clean! Has a lot of good amenities, including a washer and dryer on site that came in handy traveling with a family of 5, and a restaurant and bar. The beds were also very comfortable! The rooms were nice but could definitely use some updating (i.e. the carpet and worn walls), but I never felt like the room was dirty, just dated. The staff was also very welcoming and nice. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Hollywood.
- 5/5
The room was spacious
- 5/5
Staff are absolutely wonderful, the pool is beautiful and heated, rooms are very clean, and comfortable beds. We had a pretty wild issue (not the fault of the hotel at all) where the room above us flooded our bathroom, making it unusable. The amazing front desk desk staff figured out what to do for us in a completely booked night and comped our room. I would stay here anytime Im in Hollywood. The style of this hotel is so cute, I love the theming!
- 4/5
Third time we have stayed. Such a fun place. Love the diner and the bar. Only complaint this time was pillows and sheets that need replacing. They are definitely past their prime.
- 5/5
Large spacious room and bathroom. Clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Location is ok, nice theme styles rooms
- 5/5
Such a cute property. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. Couldn't get shower to not be freezing or scalding but not too big of a deal. Everything else was wonderful.

Todo en el hotel me encantó. Es limpio, con buen servicio y bien cerca de muchas amenidades.
- 5/5
Absolutely darling hotel. Great location, easy parking and friendly staff. Both the diner and lounge were delightful. We will be staying here again.
- 5/5
The front desk clerk was amazing. Great communication and even offered extra towels, assuming my 2 teenage boys wanted to hit the pool.

The beds were comfortable, the hot water was FIRE, the location was perfect and the diner in the lobby was convenient and delicious. Valeting our car was mildly annoying but at least I didn't have to park in a tiny space or stress about finding a spot. I would stay here again for sure!

Comfortable room and wonderful service. I confess, I was picky and asked to change rooms and they accommodated me cheerfully. Then, I embarrassed myself because I compared the size and view to a previous room we stayed in - not realizing they had upgraded me on a previous trip without telling me! It's a great place, perfectly located for so many theaters, and the Clark Street Diner below is the best breakfast in town.

Liked the hotel. It had a great vibe. The diner next door was great. Food very good. Staff at front desk very helpful. Only complaint was the road noice. We were given a room facing street. But once we turned on the A/C fan it did drown it out.

Love this place. Front desk staff is great. The daytime valet is a fun and terrifically nice guy. The Diner continues to rock! And Sophie the Bartender, who should continually be rewarded for sending us to a wonderful spot to check out!
- 3/5
Room was cute though.
- 5/5
Room was great. Good restaurant connected to hotel.
- 3/5
The room was exceptional. The staff was a bit robotic but overall a great stay.
- 3/5
The rooms need updating. The AC units doesn’t work well.
- 5/5
Always great stay in this comfy spot with trendy bar and delish diner. Chill to the max.
- 4/5
The room was very nice and clean. Staff were kind and polite. Website did indicate it was a double room. However that is not what I got. It was a standard room with a double bed. Very misleading information. I was disappointed when I realized it. I was under the assumption. It was a double room with double queen beds. I didn’t say anything as not to make my stay uncomfortable. All went well.

Clean but shampoos need to be restocked

- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Seemed like a fun place to stay! Very cool vibe.
- 3/5
Unfortunately that’s how I felt. It’s a nice place, paid extra for a nice view, but other than that, I’m not impressed. The place has a very cool vibe tho. But smells like a cheap motel
- 5/5
Always a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, good staff
- 5/5
Great location, in a cool Hollywood neighborhood
- 1/5
They made us do valet parking whether you’d like to or not, and they took the key and they were never available when you needed the car to get driven. The place was dirty and smelled the staff was rude especially the valley. I was promised another room and it never happened.

While the hotel offers valet service, the valet staff were unprofessional and lacked basic customer service. They were eating meals while receiving vehicles and offered no assistance with luggage. At check-in, the hotel made a photocopy of my ID, which felt invasive and was not disclosed on the website or booking platforms. The elevator was out of order during my stay. Staff claimed it went out that morning, but it remained nonfunctional the entire time, making it likely the issue existed longer. I was required to use the stairs, though staff did help carry my bags. The room looked modern and trendy at first, but there were hairs on the pillow, which was unacceptable. The room was stuffy with poor ventilation and extremely loud, suggesting inadequate insulation. The bathroom was nice, but the shower was very small. The TV was difficult to use and required multiple remotes just to control volume and channels. While the hotel has some vintage charm, it needs significant improvements. Overall, it felt more like a decent motel than a hotel. I cannot recommend this property in good faith.
- 4/5
The near universal studio was a little misleading it’s still 15 mins depending on traffic. Was a cute spot. Absolutely no parking it’s in a residential street that’s lined with cars so paying for extra valet was required. Property was updated and has a Hollywood urban feel. Pool was heated and open till 10 with fun lighting! Staff was friendly and accommodating when asked
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful and friendly staff
- 3/5
The hotel is in a great location, but the room was not cleaned, blood stains left on the pillow cases and carpet. The hotel is also very noisy, you hear everything.
- 5/5
All good

Front desk guy was rude, room was filthy and bugs all over everything the night valet attendant was the only positive thing about this place

Enjoying my stay! Clean rooms. Cool place with a lot of Hollywood history. The attached Diner is awesome.

Hotel is a mini-museum with lots of pictures and signatures of actors/performers on the walls. There is a great diner place within the hotel and the food is fantastic. Overall, a good experience.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
Great priced hotel, good value for money, room clean, asked for servicing but never happened. I used laundry facilities which were reasonable. Close to Universal Studios. Surrounding area has many homeless people and rubbish on streets but we had no troubles walking to and from Walk of Fame day and night (10-15mins). Would recommend for those on a budget, it definitely met our needs (family of five - we got 2 x 2 Queen Bed rooms)
- 4/5
Clean room and a friendly and helpful desk clerk.

We were initially given a room that must have been next door to a bar because it was LOUD. They were able put us in a new room which was quieter. Unfortunately, the towels seemed dirty. The shower had very little pressure and we had to stand with our back against the wall to have the water hit us. The bed mattress was warped with my husband and I sliding to the middle of the bed. The pillows were very lumpy, like a bag of cotton balls. We ended up checking out after one night.

Clean room, pleasant staff
- 5/5
Close to everything clean room and great stuff
- 5/5
This hotel nailed it. Trendy vibes? ✔️ Spotlessly clean? ✔️ Big, roomy rooms? ✔️ From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt cool, modern, and welcoming. Everything was impeccably clean (always a win), and the rooms were surprisingly spacious — plenty of room to relax, unpack, and actually breathe. Stylish without being stuffy, comfortable without being boring. If you love a hotel that feels fresh, fun, and effortlessly cool, this is it. Would absolutely stay here again — no question.
- 4/5
Breakfast is not free, but the Clark Street Diner is great! The hotel is fine, quirky rooms. I woke up a bit startled that a young Marlon Brando was staring at me. The room was clean and spacious, but the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower were completely empty. Otherwise, just what we needed for an overnight in the area.
- 2/5
Also there was a sign to clean the room but no one did. On asking at the front desk they mentioned that we need to inform at the front desk that the room needs to be cleaned. Guests need to be informed correctly on such things and please remove the sign if not applicable!
- 3/5
Room was in fairly decent condition.
- 5/5
Everything good thank you
- 2/5
Bath rooms are not good, no exhaust fans, no close door to bath area. And etc…
- 5/5
Clark Street Diner (inside hotel) was excellent, hotel bar was popular and had a great staff. Location is awesome for Hollywood Blvd bar scene and convenient to Hwy 101 for driving around LA. Front desk staff tried to pressure us into valet parking ($40/night) and rooms are cleaned only by request, but otherwise an excellent choice.
- 5/5
I’ve never been in a hotel where every inch of every hallway and every public space was covered with movie pictures, celebrity autographs, everything - even the elevator - has classic wallpaper pictures from old movies, and a replica of feet-in-cement from the Chinese Theatre down the street. The building is covered with neon, and has a wonderful old school classic diner in the lobby. They serve excellent high-quality food, have their own bakery - where the pastries and breads were all homemade and super high-quality - and the service was excellent. Yes, you have to pay $45 for valet parking over and above the normal hotel rate, but that’s a small price to pay to have the location of this hotel. We were only a couple miles either way from virtually everything that we wanted to do on the trip, from Universal Studios to Hollywood and Highland, to the various movie Studios that we went to visit, etc. We were only gonna stay two days, but as our plans changed, we just decided to stay, as we really liked the place. Can’t say that about too many hotels I’ve been to recently. Worth the stay for sure if you’re coming to Los Angeles and don’t want to stay in a standard corporate hotel.
- 5/5
Loved it. The room was nice, but as in a great spot! Restaurant was also a spot to eat at.
- 4/5
Great hotel and will gladly stay here again as first choice if in the area. Loved the decor and convenient to have a diner right next door. Friendly staff with quick check in and out. They had a valet which was nice for those who had cars and a place to wait for those who used uber/taxi's. The room itself was quite big and the bathroom was extremely spacious. Beds were comfy and while the heater made some noise we didn't need to keep it on long as the room held the temperature well. It is near the street so those with noise sensitivities may be slightly bothered. The only minor slight inconvenience was the tv wasn't on an adjustable hinge so a little difficult to see from the far side of the room especially with the blinds open but like it was a large flat screen with plenty of channels to watch. Would definitely recommend if you're staying in LA.
- 5/5
Great location and very hip old Hollywood style rooms with a hip bar and a cool well known diner. Pool always pristine and quiet. My favorite room are the king suites
- 5/5
Such a quaint hotel and so retro. The staff was very accommodating and so nice.
- 5/5
Friendly staff… Easy check-in process… Great room!
- 4/5
Cute little hotel with a great location. Has an old Hollywood feel.
- 5/5
This hotel is great value for the area. Close the the walk if fame. Vintage themed rooms, clean. Nice showers. This was. My 2nd stay. Would stay again
- 5/5
Great value for money.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
I thought it was gonna be cute but run down. It’s was definitely not! They’ve done a great job keeping old Hollywood charm but not keeping old Hollywood roaches. Great staff and the rooms are very large. Lots of space and all the pictures and decor were so fun. Almost felt like a free Hollywood museum
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel. It’s clean, my room was nice, comfortable & quiet. Staff are nice & friendly. Now I know where I would love to stay once I visit LA again. Thanks so much Franklin Hotel staff for my comfortable stay!
- 5/5
Everything was great! Nice staff, clean rooms.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Clean, staff is very attentive. Historic Hollywood hotel. Nice diner. Everything was perfect. Except parking is $35 a night. Which is very high.
- 5/5
Nice pool but not always heated. You will need to visit the main floor and ask for towels everytime you swim or shower. No cleaning services unless asked and can only be done once per 4 day stay. Staff very proffessional. Fairly clean hotel. No bugs noted. Carpets in room not the cleanest and did find dark curly hair throughout unit. Does have laundry but only one washer and dryer. Walkable to walk of fame and dining. High traffic area makes it difficult for ubers and noise at night. Air conditioning nice. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner as the hotels is really bad. Very nice hotel for the price overall.

Horrible place wouldn’t recommend
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff. The area was very close to the walk all of fame and the metro-if you want to save money instead of uber. The Clarkstreet diner attached to the hotel has amazing food. Everything was perfect-very pleased.
- 5/5
Clean room, best staff in hollywood
- 5/5
Great little place. Cool old Hollywood vibe. Would return :)
- 5/5
Awesome hotel we were right in front of the pool the room was great nice and clean the service at the front desk was so awesome even gave us a map and marked the directions to the event we were attending. Honestly though my favorite was the valet he was so friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend giving this place a try
- 4/5
Cons : stuffy smell in rooms , shower pressure Most reception staff seems unskilled and unwilling to help ( enquired about late check out willing to pay but “ we don’t do that” , then enquired about paying for the extra night but told to book online myself … as a hotel manager myself , this is insane to tell customer to book through a third party website whom you ll have to give 20%+ commission
- 3/5
There were additional fees to be aware of (parking, hotel maintenance, etc.) so read small print. The room was clean but, nothing spectacular to mention. The next door restaurant, CLARK’S was our highlight.
- 4/5
The rooms are nice. They are normal hotel rooms, decorated with wallpaper to elicit an old Hollywood aesthetic. For this trip, we were in the older section that surrounds the pool. It is very similar to the Beverly Laurel hotel on Beverly Blvd. We've also stayed in the what I guess is the newer section, which borders Franklin Blvd. The older section tends to be quieter since it's away from Franklin.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Loved it! The valet person was very nice and helpful! He help us on Saturday night and Sunday night..
- 5/5
You had to pay $40 to park car valet, and additional $10 resort fee. Beautiful hotel nice hot shower and great location, comfortable beds and pillows very clean nice art deco.
- 5/5
Always friendly service, comfy stay and great location.
- 4/5
Room was good. Bed comfortable. No noise issue. Bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated. Plenty of hot water for shower but pressure was low which may have been due to water use limiter in shower head. Room was clean. Overall was satisfied with the stay.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly. Good property
- 5/5
This is a good location for Hollywood and Hollywood Hills. Despite being on a busy street, the room was fairly quiet. The room was large and very comfortable. They do not clean daily- only if you request it- just an FYI. There is a diner on site that is very popular and the food was good.
- 3/5
The hotel was cute, nice colors and a funky design. Definitely could have been cleaned with a bit more effort, but it wasn’t disgusting. We were bummed that the massive TV had horrible quality, and did not have any of the things being advertised on the television itself. We asked the front desk man if we could use the LG remote so we could airplay, as advertised on the TV, and he said he had no idea what we were talking about.
- 1/5
The room was filthy. Floors really stained, bathroom was filthy dirty with other peoples hair and scum all over, the mirror was even dirty. Old run down room with potential but gross for now
- 5/5
Hotel room was very clean.Great breakfast at the Diner.

Cool place, would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
We loved staying at this hotel. Super cool - great experience.
- 5/5
The Wi-Fi is blazing fast, up to several hundred Mbps, depending on the time of day.
- 1/5
Checked in, got to the room, it smelled like stale air. The AC unit was set on 60 degree on HIGH but it was blowing out warm air. I went down to the desk, the guy went up with me. Looked at it for a second and said "That's as good as it'll get." I said I'm not staying in this room, that's unacceptable. Went back down, the man who checked me in said that's the only room they had. I said I will not stay in that room and I want another one. He magically found another room. That room was slightly better, but still an older AC unit. Extremely low water pressure in shower. Walls/ceiling are VERY thin, so I didn't sleep for 2 nights because of the constant POUNDING. This hotel looks AMAZING in photos, and does have really cool decor/vibe, but it's an old building that hasn't been updated. Don't be fooled by the photos like I was.
- 1/5
The room is really stinky. The bathroom has lots of small insects. The room is dirty, with many different kinds of stains on various surfaces. The comments on Expedia completely misled me into booking the wrong hotel.
- 4/5
This hotel had a great location. Its a 5 min walk to Hollywood Blvd. Universal abd the warner brothers tour is about 7 min drive away. We got a king suite room, had a slight musty smell but it wasnt horrible. The room was large and the bed was super comfy. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star was becuase of the parking situation. Its $33 to park there thought it was a little to much. They had valet parking but they litlery handed you the keys and you walked to your car becuase the lot is so small. When we came in they parked it each night. But it only saved us like 20 steps. I would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered! Front desk, valet and the lounge staff were all so welcoming and friendly and fun! We picked this hotel for the location and it exceeded our expectations. Check in was easy, our room was adorable. Everything was convenient, the diner in the building was beyond excellent, the lounge was perfect and we were walking distance to our event. Really can’t wait to find a reason to come back here!
- 2/5
Our coffee machine was broken my boyfriend fixed it on our last day.not enough shampoo and conditioner for 4 people..2 small bottles didn't cut it .the air wasn't working right until 4 hours later when we were in bed.the shower didn't have another door or curtain the water kept running out of the floor and I almost slipped..it was too much hassle for $352 for 2 nights and I still had to walk to get to the metro to catch the shuttle to universal studios..I'll stay at the Blvd next time or find a better deal with contential breakfast..I thought it said contintenal breakfast because that is what I was looking for in our stay..that disappointed me a lot..but it was clean and vintage..smell was old..it was an experience

I was skeptical before I arrived. But, there was a lot of character and history at this hotel. The attached diner was very good. The small bar in the hotel felt like a speakeasy. We really enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Location is great.
- 4/5
Friendly front desk staff, convenient to hollywood/universal studios, and delicious diner attached to the property ! Good little motel for a quick weekend stay. Lots of cool hollywood decor and memorabilia.
- 5/5
Gisela at the front desk is amazing!!! Fred, the valet, was so nice! We were there in May and absolutely loved it. So of course, we had to come back. We had another Hollywood Sign View Room, this one even better than the last room (which also had view of Hollywood Sign). The bathroom was enormous. For fans of Old Hollywood, this is the place to be. Only issue we had was connecting to WiFi, think it was due to location of room. Hotel is 3 exits from Universal Studios and one from Warner Brothers Studios. Check it out, you won’t be sorry!!
- 5/5
Everything is beautiful even the views
- 5/5
We loved our stay at the Hollywood Franklin hotel. It was the perfect little gateway, the room was very clean and staff were friendly. The location was perfect we were just a few blocks away from Hollywood blvd. The Franklin lounge had very cool and chill vibes and the bartender made delicious cocktails. We even had breakfast at the Clark Street diner the morning we checked out, it was very good! I would highly recommended staying at the Franklin it was the cutest and affordable little boutique hotel.
- 3/5
The room was nice for the most part. Beds were a little tough and sleeping in them was just so so. The bathroom did not have a vent fan, so the window had to stay open the whole time. This meant that all the street noise could be heard. There was build up all over the window frame that looked like mold, but not sure if it was or wasn't. It was very close to the Pantages theater and Amoeba music, which was nice. Not sure if we would stay there again considering how much it cost compared to the beds and bathroom window.

Very clean and easy to access Hollywood from
- 5/5
Staff was very engaged and friendly. Showed me how stuff work and answered all my questions.
- 5/5
Clean room, good customer service
- 5/5
Cool property, quiet part of town, cool cafe on the first level and nice bar at night. I’d stay again.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very helpful with everything I needed and even offered a later check out. Will be back next time I come to LA !
- 5/5
We really loved it. It’s a cute little hotel.
- 4/5
The location of the hotel is close to hollywood and also close to universal studios. The area around there when walking. You have to watch your surroundings though. But that's typical, in most cities.Anyway. Overall, I enjoyed my visit there. And I would stay again
- 5/5
This was my 2nd stay. The hotel is very comfortable and reasonably priced compared to anything nearby. It is walkable to the Pantages Theater and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We were allowed early check-in (12:30pm), which was wonderful. Over night valet parking is also very reasonable compared to nearby hotels. The onsite restaurant is fantastic and very popular. Another BONUS is that the hotel has a HUGE collection of rare Hollywood paraphernalia adorning the halls and stairwells, which is fun to browse. Each room has an homage to some classic movies. I will be back. 😉

- 5/5
Very clean and cozy
- 5/5
Everything was great! Super convenient to Universal Studios. The diner was delish! Staff were great and friendly. Only issue was the bed was a little too soft for me.. Other than that, I’d stay again
- 5/5
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We would stay here again and will recommend it to family and friends.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Good location
- 4/5
The Clark St Diner is downstairs which is great for breakfast/lunch. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great valet parking. The room design was fun with 007 on the wall. Convenient to Hollywood Bowl and other attractions.
- 5/5
Nice and clean hotel
- 4/5
Lovely interior, numerous celebrity photos and collages. Great diner attached. Only complaint is concerning street traffic as well as loud room air conditioner.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
The staff were all very nice and friendly. Motel wasn’t exactly as I’d hoped with the high rating it had online; but it worked out fine for our one night stay.
- 5/5
All really good 👍
- 5/5
Great hotel, fabulous staff, the rooms are large and comfortable.
- 4/5
Was as described, staff were helpful
- 5/5
Very clean
- 4/5
I couldn’t use the aircon at night because it smelled so bad.
- 5/5
The room was very modern and clean. The diner was amazing! They had the valet service and as I was visiting Universal Studios this was a great choice as it’s very close to the park.
- 4/5
The room was not made up every day. Need to get clean towels by myself from the reception
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Loved this hotel!!! So neat and clean!! Affordable and everyone was so polite and helpful. Pool was clean and refreshing. And our room was amazing. Just what i wanted with the view of the Hollywood sign from our room!! My new favorite hotel ever!!!!!
- 5/5
Great location and lovely big room, staff were lovely and very accommodating
- 2/5
Housekeeping availability upon request only. We requested it and did not recive it. 4 days no clean towels no trash thrown. The pictures on website are catfished. Rooms are tiny located outside access very loud Housekeeping outdide of rooms but dont go to your room. Loud talking early in the morning
- 5/5
Such a fun hotel.
- 5/5
Valet and staff are very friendly. Check-in was a breeze. 2nd time staying here and I would book this hotel again and again while in L.A.
- 5/5
Excellent little place.
- 5/5
My friends and I love this place! Can’t recommend it enough for anywhere Hollywood or universal . We stay here every year for horror nights and will doing so for a long time!
- 5/5
Great hotel for the Hollywood Bowl shows! It’s older but is clean and the Hollywood decor is awesome. Clark Street Diner is fantastic!
- 5/5
Very cool updated rooms and building. The diner is excellent! I will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The property was super accommodating and allowed us to stay until noon without any charge. Very unique decor and environment!
- 4/5
Nice hotel and great location with a lovely bar and great restaurant.
- 5/5
Only thing I'd say it needs is a set of weights in the fitness center and a water machine in there.
- 5/5
Fun vibe, cool room, spacious and comfortable!
- 5/5
We were very happy with our room. Very clean and well decorated. Had a great view of the Hollywood sign from our window. The diner attached is wonderful. The food was excellent and service was outstanding. A bit pricey but so is everything in the area. The valet was fantastic. We used the service several times and he was pleasant and accommodating every time. The hotel doesn’t service the room while you are there which is fine with us. Towels and other necessities are readily available from the front desk anytime of day.
- 3/5
It had an unplesent smell, i was charged $38 for parking and was charged $10 extra for pool that we did no use.
- 3/5
VIP status not acknowledge. Window broken and open in room. Doors light switches coffee handle dirty. High touch places not clean. And only valet parking, no self parking. Every question you ask, get a response with a question. Must have key to get in gym. Stuff broken. Bad pillows too
- 4/5
I could not team if I was upgraded. I thought the room was standard. Nothing special.
- 4/5
Unique decor, I’ve stayed here before. Last time seemed to be more cleaner. This time i noticed handprints on tv and on the cabinet. But staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Nice hotel, clean and close to what we wanted to do
- 4/5
Good clean hotel with an interesting movie theme. Dinner good for breakfast
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
I recommend this place
- 5/5
Absolutely loved this hotel. It was very classic old Hollywood feel to it.
- 5/5
Loved it !
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay. It reminds us about the old times. We will be back
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
We liked the food at Clark Diner on site but the hours were kind of limited for the days of our stay. The beds were very comfortable with great pillows! Even though there is a lot of traffic we slept well due to the beds.
- 5/5
We love supporting family-owned boutique hotels this is a great find in Hollywood if you wanting a place to stay that has lots of character and you love the movies like we do this is a must stay we will be staying at this hotel a lot more frequently when we visit Hollywood and do our special movie Nights that we do on a consistent basis the owner is there you can tell he really cares about his hotel there's a great little bar named Lily's bar and a great Diner to have food you have everything you need and it's a great property by the way they have a room that has a great view of the Hollywood sign if you're coming out of town and you want to Hollywood experience I highly recommend you stay here it's close to everything in Hollywood
- 4/5
The aesthetics are nice.
- 5/5
This is my second time staying here. I love this place. I’ve only had good experiences here. It’s very clean. Well kept the staff is very nice. The rooms are spacious. The beds are comfortable very convenient and close to freeways restaurants bars, etc. etc. I’ll be continuing to frequent this place. I haven’t tried the pool yet from what I hear is the pool is heated and warm. It’s always looked clean to me when I see it. Also, there is a bar downstairs attached to the hotel that is very dark and quaint a big plus.
- 5/5
We loved the rooms and the cafe. Unfortunately every time we attempted to use the pool it was closed. WiFi is not so great. But we’ll definitely be back. The staff was great as well.
- 5/5
Best experience ever! Can’t wait to return!!!
- 3/5
The hotel is clean. Room had renovated and spacious bathroom. Interesting posters on the walls throughout the hotel. But hotel is just OLD. You can immediately smell that old building scent. The room had very old carpet, maybe if they replaced that one it would have been better. Tiny window. Old A/C which could not cool down the room really well. Overall worked Ok for us to spend a quick night. Would not stay there again. Oh, and I actually forgot that it supposed to offer some VIP perks to us due to Expedia status. None were offered. Based on the pictures, the hotel does have the rooms that looks newer.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the hotel. Convenient location. The style/decor was fun.
- 4/5
Hotel was fairly priced for a decent location. You are not in the heart of the action but a very short drive to any of the main attractions nearby. The room was clean but basic, the lobby area was pretty cool with lots of Hollywood memorabilia and the staff were very friendly especially the daytime valet. If you’re looking to save some money on price from the big chain hotels closer to the attractions but still be close enough to get around the main parts of LA, this is a great option.
- 4/5
The welcome at the front desk was very unpleasant. He didn’t want to answer my questions and only said what he wanted to say. His behavior was very unprofessional and unkind. Overall, the stay was okay.
- 5/5
Lively Hollywood theme decorations . I believe every room has a wall paper picture of an actor / actress . Much more interesting than your run of the mill hotel room . Updated bathroom and open air pool in the center of the hotel . Highly recommend it .
- 5/5
Very worthy!!!
- 5/5
It was a cute hotel with a fun set up the pictures were fun as was the theme
- 5/5
OK area to stay at a good price. Area is a little sketchy, but a 10 min walk to bars and walk of fame. Diner in lobby is very convenient. Bathroom towels need to be updated, everything else in the room was clean and in good condition. Parking is expensive.
- 5/5
Excellent stay, the staff was very friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. Definitely worth the stay and will recommend to stay there
- 5/5
The Adler is an excellent hotel choice for Hollywood: clean, well appointed rooms, safe, super-close to the Walk of Fame stars and easily accessible by Metro. Affordable. Great diner - friendly staff and tasty brunch options. Great pool.
- 5/5
The staff made our stay very enjoyable. We loved the location for nearby attractions, yet quiet to sleep. Lots of Hollywood pics to look at in rooms and hallways. We look forward to staying again sometime.
- 2/5
This property needs updated. Room was fine. Shower went from cold to scalding. The fitness center was a joke and the machines were out of service. Each night I had to have someone come up to fix the TV. Parking was expensive
- 5/5
We loved it! The location was perfect for our needs. The staff was kind and helpful. We enjoyed the cafe attached, and love looking at the collection of celebrity photos and signatures. They had a sewing kit to help us repair my nieces dress before our show at the Pantages. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Nice visit.
- 5/5
World class hotel, I loved the staff and the room! Max was very friendly and helpful. The diner off of the lobby is amazing too. The location is great. I don't ever want to stay anywhere else when I'm in LA.
- 1/5
Terrible experience! The bedding was dirty, with visible stains and hair. I asked the staff to change rooms, but he refused. I then requested clean bedding, only to find that the “clean” ones were also stained. When I brought this up, the staff admitted they were aware of the stains but said they couldn’t do anything because the laundry is outsourced. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here.
- 4/5
Hotel is conveniently located near Hollywood attractions. On-site diner, whole pricey, has good food and service. Rooms are decorated nicely. Ned was not very comfortable. Beware of $38.50 per day parking fee.
- 5/5
Excellent place
- 5/5
The staff people were lovely and super helpful. It’s a cute cozy place. Would definitely recommend!
- 4/5
The room was very nice, bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy. My bathroom has the old school twist to open window. The radio in the room and one light didn't work. The view was great, nice big open windows..loved the outdoor area .bar was small but nice. Didn't visit the cafe.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 5/5
Everyone here was so kind! The beds and TVs are huge and the air conditioner worked really well. It was a 25 min walk to the Hollywood Bowl! There is a diner inside with fantastic food and staff I went to every morning! A convenience store is next to the property that we got snacks and water from!
- 3/5
Check-in was great and staff friendly. In-room mini fridge didn’t keep food cold and food spoiled. Room was nice but smelled of Lysol. Shower head and water pressure wasn’t very good.
- 4/5
It's a great hotel at an amazing location. Staff is great and helpful with all requests. There's a great diner. The toilet doors don't lock which was an inconvenience
- 3/5
Well decorated. Neat little property, but the room has the mildew smell of most older buildings in CA. There are no room darkening curtains, about 20 gnats in the bathroom, paid parking tacked on (though they were kind enough to let us keep our car there while we saw our show), and it was not as clean as I prefer. To be fair, I've stayed in worse that cost more.
- 5/5
Such an awesome place!
- 4/5
Charming, decent amenities, great value for the price. Would definitely come back.
- 5/5
Wonderful! Would come back again
- 5/5
This was our second time at The Adler. We had a larger room this time. Very spacious and comfortable. Huge, nice bathroom, except sink fixtures were a bit janky. And water can be scalding. I LOVE the pool and pool area. Also love the onsite dinner- delicious breakfast all day, and the pastries! Only real negative is they now 'require' valet parking. There is a lot/garage right there, and it's ridiculous to pay extra for valet. I tried to find street parking at night, but no luck.
- 3/5
Disappointing that rooms aren’t routinely cleaned so room never cleaned our whole stay, you have to request fresh towels etc. which I think is poor for the money charged for the room per night. Room extremely stuffy, cannot open a window and air con very noisy. But of an unpleasant smell in the corridors like cabbages.
- 5/5
This was such a cute property. The decor is old Hollywood and the rooms are cute and comfy with murals all over the property. Great bar with a mellow vintage vibe and we could walk to the Palladium.
- 1/5
Staff treated me like crap. And tried to make up for it by upgrading my room.
- 2/5
The towels are dirty…no space to store luggages for my return trip…
- 5/5
We liked the decore and the friendly staff at check in
- 5/5
Awesome location, and I got it on a steal because of a clerical error, but they got me for parking, and let everyone know at Checkin that the price I paid was not the standard but an error and not to expect to get it again.. rude
- 5/5
Love this hotel! We have stayed frequently and it's our go to when we're in town. Beautifully maintained, well appointed spacious rooms, wonderful staff, and great food at Clarke Street Diner. Close to everything and in a lovely neighborhood. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
This hotel was lovely and fun. Love the history and all the film/celebrity memorabilia. Lots of bad reviews out there about the front desk/customer service but everyone was very kind, especially the older man with glasses. Room was nice and big. We were there for one night for an event at the Hollywood bowl, easy uber there and we walked back. Diner attached was great for breakfast.
- 2/5
I stayed 4 days. When i checkedbin they charge a $38 parking fee per day, which we did not know before hand. This is a mandatory charge and can only park with valet. We also have a roof luggage rack on top of our car. The first valet knew it wouldnt fit in the parking garage and paked in the front lot. The second valet didnt pay attention to this and tried to drive the car into the parking garage, destroying of luggage rack. Manager for valet said he will give us $80 cause thats how much it cost on line. The car rack is no longer in production. The hotel manager was able to waive the parking fee and 2 nights comped for inconvenience. Over stay was ok, staff was rude but the rooms and pool clean.
- 5/5
Hotel was amazing. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Super cute boutique atmosphere decorated in 40s-50s old Hollywood glamour. Walkable to local restaurants and popular venues. Clean and quiet. Staff and valet very friendly

- 5/5
My kids and I loved this hotel. Clean, nice staff, cute rooms. Diner right there. We’ll definitely be staying here again.
- 4/5
Oh, and the food at Clark Diner was yummm-o!!
- 5/5
The hotel was nicely decorated. Everything was clean and check in was smooth!
- 5/5
Clean room, good bed and shower.
- 4/5
Nice spot to stay in LA Convenient location for transportation options.
- 5/5
Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Tons of Old Hollywood pics and the staff is amazing. If you love Old Hollywood, this is the hotel for you. Not a long walk to Hollywood Blvd either. Four exits away from Universal Studios and three from Warner Brothers Studio. Very centrally located. Make sure to go on the stairs of mystery, very well worth it. The diner attached to the hotel, Clark St Diner, has amazing food and is extremely popular. We had a room overlooking the Hollywood Sign.
- 5/5
This hotel was really cute. Would totally stay here again. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Really cool hotel with tons of old time hollywood photos everywhere - interesting to walk through and look at. Great size rooms, very clean, with comfy bed and large bathroom. Friendly staff, quick check in. Outside seating areas and pool area too! Nice bar on site as well!
- 5/5
Amazing value hotel. Cool vistas in every hallway and a nice pool. Staff are friendly, attentive and funny. Great value and a walk to downtown
- 5/5
It was a very pleasant experience. The king bed room was very clean quite and comfortable They did a great job with decor of the room and bathroom I enjoyed staying here and I would recommend to family and friends if they need a hotel in this area
- 5/5
Staff was exceptional and hotel was fun and perfect for a short stay in Hollywood.
- 4/5
Water pressure from shower was a dribble and very intermittent warm water.
- 5/5
Great stay! Fun hotel!
- 5/5
We got to the hotel early and our room was ready. That was a plus. The room and bathroom were big. We slept good bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Retro theme is cute and the location is convenient
- 5/5
The staff were all very kind and helpful. The room itself was gorgeous and well-maintained. I would definitely come again!
- 5/5
I was not expecting such a gem in the middle of Hollywood.
- 5/5
Great customer service and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend this hotel the next time you're in Hollywood.
- 4/5
Enjoyed my stay. Clean. Loved the hollywood decor with all photos.
- 4/5
It is quaint and quirky. Very cute. There was hair in the shower and bathroom floor and toilet when I arrived. They were working on the lobby so it was loud. The name of the hotel isn't visible outside. You can hear everything from the oil on the first floor in the rooms.
- 5/5
Super cute hotel. Hard to find at first. Convenient walk to the middle of hollywood. Has a restaurant (breakfast and lunch) on premises and a cute bar. Cute room, nice pool. Parking cost $38 Extra. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The hotel is very cozy and cool, and I found all the employees to be extremely nice and helpful. I enjoyed all my interactions with them.
- 2/5
Con: Beverage vending machine stole money, desk clerk seemed to be unsurprised.
