A group of women came by to show me a welcome to Hollywood. Rooms were a bit dirty and. Parking was terrible

The assistant manager, Amy was absolutely awful. She was rude and would not give the name of the manager nor the company who owned the hotel. Our air-conditioning did not work. Our TV did not work. We called several times and they never came. I have stayed there several times in the past and never had a problem. This place is gotten horrible and Amy was the reason as well. They are trying to double charge us for parking and amenities. The place really went downhill.

So I have been to the Dixie Hollywood Motel 3 or 4 times now. I really like this Motel. BUT this time. (and I know its not their fault. But Last night we had sirens about every 20 minutes and helicopters flying around for hours.... I didn't like the sirens all night or the fact that both the rooms I rented yesterday were built for people that are vertically challenged. I am 5'7 and everything was the right height for my 4yr old grand daughter...

Everything was awesome, it’s close to Hollywood blvd so me and my lady just walked the whole Hollywood blvd. :) I will say that having a microwave in the room would be a nice addition :) but overall an awesome place to stay!?!

I absolutely loved how dog friendly they were. The heated pool was lovely. They even gave my dog a welcome bag 1 to 10 I give them a 15 on that. We asked for room service at 12:30 because we were still getting prepared at 10:30 when they came to clean the room and they never came back so we had to go get towels and the girl kind of gave a little bit of an attitude. And the security guard on Saturday was very very unfriendly.

DO NOT STAY HERE! this hotel is a scam its nothing like the pictures. STAFF IS RUDE AND AWFUL. they refused to let us use the luggage cart, laughed at us when we asked. put us in a room by THE TRASH! homeless people surrounding the hotel, really dangerous if you have kids or you're foreign/ not from a major city. Loud street noise, banging under our beds.... on the first floor. Cockroaches inside the room and by the pool/ main entrance. random men knocking at our door, harassing us. staff joined me for their lunch break while I tried to use the pool. if you have young daughters watch out for the maintenance man he LOVES to stare at you by the pool! Spiders in the shower. Dirty dirty hotel. when we reached out to be compensated for the troubles we faced there, they of course declined! they keep harassing me for complaining, even though I checked out 3 days ago. not worth the almost $600 we paid. please use your money elsewhere, its literally a MOTEL. ive stayed at super 8`s better than this crap.

Room is modern and relatively clean. Fantastic water pressure, AC kept it cold. That's where the highlights end. Walked in to find a strand of hair on the bed sheet and in the bathtub. At this price point that's extremely disappointing and hygienically unacceptable — especially after a long day of travel. No do-not-disturb sign in the room so I assumed no housekeeping. They came in anyway which was unexpected. Respectful of our belongings but a heads up or a clear policy on the door would help. The bathroom is baffling — so narrow you turn sideways just to close the door, and the toilet is so close to the wall you can't sit straight. AC is old school, loud, cycles on and off all night. Walls and doors are paper thin — you hear everything from every direction. Sleep quality depends entirely on how mindful your neighbors are. Luckily mine were reasonable. Parking gets tight if you arrive late with a bigger vehicle. Ice machine was a nice touch. Decent for a short stay if you manage your expectations.

The pet facilities, the cute blinds, the facilities were nice When we got there they gave us an undone room but they quickly switched us to a good room and our stay was pleasant. Seemed like an honest accident that they quickly rectified.

The entrances are outside and it got a little noisy in the mornings.

Honestly this hotel was a great option. We chose to walk to the stars and it was fun. The rooms were well maintained and the area was fairly quiet!

Loud neighbors could not sleep at all! Run down rooms and no coffee maker! Staff was very nice it’s the only good thing

2 staff members at front service is beyond we have 2 rooms 203 and 204. The staff way to busy for day like Thai new year festival how every they still service with care and smelling on their face. With big events like this management should have provided more staff or she definitely should get some bonus.

Parking was good for us since we just left the car in the parking space. We have family pick us up from the hotel to avoid not getting parking space when we return at night.

Our stay was overall comfortable, with clean facilities and courteous staff, but the hotel’s pet policy needs better enforcement. While we understand and appreciate that pets are allowed, a dog in next room was left alone overnight and barked and cried all night, making it very difficult for my family to rest. Pet-friendly hotels should ensure animals are properly supervised to avoid disturbing other guests, and with clearer guidelines or enforcement, this issue could easily be prevented. Other than this, everything else about our stay was good.

The location was convenient for eating, shopping, walk of fame & more. The staff were mostly helpful & having the night security was awesome. The room was clean except the restroom. The restroom was moldy and full of pee on the sides of the toilet when we arrived. We did not use the pool, sadly.

It is not a hotel, it is a motel. The amenities were very basic. It is though close to transit, shopping and restaurants.

Was made to deposit TWO HUNDRED dollars for having a small dog with me, I stayed for ONE night almost two months ago and the hotel will not release the deposit back to me. Absolute theft and not appropriate especially when the room was kept clean and I cleaned after myself for the one night I stayed. If you have a pet it is cheaper to stay at Hilton, I would never recommend this place to anybody they possibly steal other people’s deposits as well.

Room was clean and in perfect location to roam around. Just 3 mins walk from Metro also has the general store just opposite of the property. AC was making loud noice entire night. Other than that no issues. Great stay!

I mean it’s as clean as a motel 6. And no warning was given about a marathon happening the next morning. We couldn’t move our car out till 3 pm. That was a bit inconvenient. But on the bright side they had really cool art work on their hotels doors.

The room was very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The only thing I had to pay extra for was parking, which was an extra $25 on top of the room price, which I find ridiculous.

Room was in good condition and clean. Obvious wear and tear in the bathroom. Not a terrible stay, but not amazing. Good for budget stay and being close to Hollywood attractions.

Used to be a great spot but something changed and I do not enjoy the vibe anymore. Stricter rules, no guests, fees for parking, no signs in the windows, etc… just not treating their guests like they should be. Litsey is the only person there who is good!

The first thing we noticed when going in our room is that It was newly renovated and smelled so clean. Not overly clean in a bad way that would have messed with my asthma but it was just fresh and nice. There were lots of comfy pillows and the bathroom was clean the whole room was just clean. The hotel was also only 4 minutes away from where we were going for our trip which was academy LA. It was super easy to get Uber and lyft two and from the room So we didn't have to worry about parking. There is a Ralphs and a Ross right across the street and restaurants all over which is awesome. It's right close to the Thai district and there were so many good restaurants within walking and driving distance. Definitely would stay here again 100%!!! Glad that when we rebooked from our nightmare of a hotel from the night before that we picked this place. The art is cute, The pool area is cute, The area seemed safe enough to me.

Do not stay here. Whole property has mold smell. We checked in and instantly noticed it. I complained but no manager was on the property so no resolution. I booked through Expedia so contacted them, no resolution there either. Hotel staff said to contact Expedia and Expedia said to talk to hotel. I end up leaving was not going put my family where I’m unable to breathe and get sick. Horrible experience. Don’t stay

Rooms are small, and poorly cleaned. Dead insects can be found anywhere the room isn't regularly cleaned. The bathroom tile was done by somebody without any clue, grout was missing and tiles didn't align well. Walking across the floor you can feel the floor going up and down, with soft and hard areas underfoot. It was almost laughable. The door, even when closed didn't fit in the frame, you can see right through the edges of the door. What a joke. And then they added yet another new fee, a security parking fee. Not cool. And not included in my Orbitz charge list . The room had one chair, it was hard as a rock, sitting down was a startling experience. This place is truly a 1 star hotel.

There was a a sink and dishes, the dishes they were dirty there was no soap to wash them. The was a small coffee pot but no filters. I bought some and left some . Most of the staff was nice and friendly. But there was a lady who was rude and un helpful. **Note you have to pay for parking in the lot of the hotel!! I was not notified and it kinda sucked The family room was big! We had 7 comfortably. The shower however was extremely small, there was only a cloth shower curtain and it stuck to you as you tried to shower.

Everything felt dirty, sticky & outdated. The room smelled like a thrift store and right as i was leaving to checkout saw a HUUUGE roach crawling on the counter. Beds were comfy though so if you have low standards and just need a bed and hot water to shower it’ll do the job 😅

The room was not very clean at all, someone else’s hair in the shower and hair on the bed, mold in the bathroom, ac was super dirty, not to mention the remote and table tops seemed like it had never been wiped down.The beds were literally rock hard! I liked the themed room doors and the parking had security which was nice.

My daughter and I stayed here for a mother daughter weekend trip to see Erykah Badu. We both loved the staff and hotel. I absolutely love the story behind the hotel in memory of their sister. The doors are beautiful and I’m assuming some of their late sister’s favorite things. We stayed in the Super Mario room. A nice surprise as my husband’s name is Mario. We will definitely be back to stay in the Hello Kitty Room. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

Parking was also a problem. Even after paying $37 per night for 3 nights, there were no spaces available, while non-paying cars were parked in the lot. This happened more than once, and other guests faced the same issue. Overall, while the location is good, the service and management need significant improvement.

My construction workers stayed there and they had a bad experience with the staff there. Also, we tried to cancel one of the rooms as one of the guys got injured at the jobsite and they wouldn't refund the money. They didn't considered anything and just went with a NO cancellation. Never again will we book this place.

Don’t believe what you see.. the check-in was quick. But other then that a terrible time just getting to the room the AC did not work. It was hot! Called front staff just to take a look and never called back or seemed to do anything. The noise was loud besides the outside there were a few people outside till 3am blasted music and the room was dirty came back home with bed bug bites.. the bed indeed was NOT soft btw.

The room was nice and Clean. The staff the first receptionist was irritated and mad for some reason, got upset because I didn’t want to seat down. I needed to use the bathroom I had to check in first in order to do that. Since they didn’t have one available, the other reason I didn’t know what was the items that were charging me stay fees I asked what was that and she got upset, I really didn’t know the guy receptionist show a list which includes wi-fi, netflix ,access to the pool and parking some other things. The room was nice and clean, but there was very little privacy. There were not “blackout” drapes at the bed window (not certain but I believe that blackout drapes were stated); instead cheap slats that go up or down. Some of these were broken; there was a large group of Hispanics that gathered outside my room some were obviously drunk; and Security did nothing. I finally opened my door and told them to go somewhere else with their crazy, drunk, discriminatory language toward the LGBTQ+ community. I was late checking in and the next day was my Birthday; I asked (after finally getting checked in and paying a $100.00 Deposit and a $19.99 “Resort Fee) that given my late check in and all the unexpected Deposits and Fees if (given the next day was my Birthday if I could check out at Noon as opposed to 11. They said I would need to call the front desk around 8 or 8:30 AM to see if it would be possible. At approximately 10 AM I called the front desk to make them aware that I was checking out. Literally, the response was “Oh Great”!! I will never stay at this Property again and advise others to take my advice as well.

We were visiting family at Children's Hospital LA and wanted something close to the hospital. It was a perfect location for that, and not too far from the walk of fame. The staff were so accommodating and friendly.

All the extra fees made it not so affordable. Additional resort fee, parking, and booking fees. It's like paying for an extra night. I could have done that with Airbnb. The property was nothing special. Beds were uncomfortable.

Nice remodeled boutique hotel. Not really walkable to the main Hollywood district, but it was much cheaper, and it was easy to catch an uber.

Pay attention to the additional fees: parking is listed on Expedia for $25/night/car. During the day it was plenty of spaces and they even let visitors coming for a short time to park without charge; but at night, when the hotel is booked, parking was a challenge, one night they had us park in the handicapped space. The "Resort Fee" of $17,99/person is not disclosed on Expedia (as of 06/2025). It only seems to appear on a sign when checking in and on the receipt received by email. Both fees are not paid when you book and pay for the room through Expedia. You have to pay these fees when checking in along with a $100 deposit. They should be more transparent or just add it to the room rate which is still relatively low for similar properties in the area. Overall, the property is nice, very conveniently located and the room is spacious and clean.

Central location in Thai Town, very convenient for all Asian food lovers, main gripe was dirty floors. We ended up scrubbing and cleaning the floors ourselves. Great water pressure in shower surprisingly given that there was a lot of gurgling in the pipes. Very friendly staff. I have stayed here twice now and will be back. Parking charge is $25 per day but is understandable given the area.

A bit run down and old but fine for the money. A good location for Griffiths Observatory. Safe parking and helpful staff. Our room was cold and a bit damp and dark. The plastic pillow cases are definitely off putting. Access to hot and cold water good.

When we first arrived to our room it was very dingy. But we were on a budget so we knew it would of been. But when we checked the bathroom upon arrival there was a red liquid substance on the floor which was disgusting and horrifying. Only God knows what that was and why no one cleaned it before we got there. The only good this was that they did upgrade us to a better room after we told them about it. And it was close to Universal and Hollywood attractions. We learned that it’s better to spend more money for comfort than stay here.

First things first, its a motel. The photos are a little misleading. Its a generic room space with the bare minimum of maintenence work done to it. Somewhere between extended stay and a La Quinta. Parking spots are small. You pay for parking. Its $25 per day or you can try parking down one of the sidestreets. Room can be serviced daily. We elected not to. Shampoo and soap were in the room. Hvac blows cold air. Sheets were clean. Towels were clean. First floor floor creeked which was odd. If its loud outside, you'll hear it inside. Your neighbors upstairs, hope they are considerate and walk gently. Ours had concrete shoes on and our neighbor to the right had full conversations outside at 10pm each night for the 3 nights we were there. Food options everywhere. Thai mostly. Ross and a Grocery store right across the street. Like i said, it did the job. We were expecting a little nicer of a spot than what we got. Look closely at ALL the photos and read the words carefully. Dont assume.

Pictures shown did not match the condition of the room. The nightstand and shelving have clearly been painted with latex wall paint several times. The shower had a large crack that they tried to repair and did so poorly. There was also a bad smell in the shower so we didn’t even bother and just used wet towels to clean off.

We chose this hotel based on the location in Thai town. Safe, walkable area day and night. The staff area amazing; friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is good, but not great. Some highlights were offstreet parking, night security guard, comfortable bed and a spacious room. Some downsides were no closet, no tub stopper, and very noisy at night with an unsealed door and window heater/cooler. Overall, I would recommend it for those who want a safe, perfectly-located accomodation.

Security at entrance provides extra comfort especially when staying on Hollywood boulevard in this area. We felt very secure. Keep in mind you are on a main drag so it has the occasional siren and honking car driving by. The reception area was nice.staff was friendly.Our room was definitely rough.... The best way to describe it would be, going to Hollywood to party down just needed a spot to change into my nice clothes get totally drunk and have somewhere to crash so I can leave in the morning without doing the walk of shame.... However I did have friends stay here the same night in a different room The room was remodeled and in a lot better condition. Our room looks like they started a remodel and decided to have us stay in the room in the middle of it. So, I wouldn't say avoid this place at all costs I would just say you get what you pay for, it is definitely nostalgic and if you were looking for a place just to crash till you go to universal studios for a day or two then this place works great.

Super convenient location and front desk lady was super sweet and helpful. Had security guards throughout the hotel so we felt super safe. Probably one of the best budget hotels I’ve stayed at.

They didn't clean the squished cockrach from the ceiling, only about 5 channels worked, the beds didn't have fitted sheets, they had security worrying about smoking in the open air parking lot, but said nothing to the people doing drugs and tweaking in the parking lot. Would NOT recommend.

The room was poorly supported with design elements. Few places to keep things off the floor, which was important because of the cockroach that had wandered in under the door. Nothing at the bottom of the door to keep bugs out. Our friends had a nice room that was upgraded. This was the lowest level hotel I've stayed at in awhile. Photos were misleading. They put forward a good room online, but ours was weak. I would not recommend it.

Good location. Nice front staff. Coffee in the lobby earlier than I prefer after late nights, so I got it one or twice in 5 nights. Great water in the lobby at all times. They didn't clean the room as promised. I talked to the maid and told her what we needed. I saw the cart as we left. They didn't do anything. We took the sheets off the bed. They stayed there for two nights on the floor. Other than that it was fine. Safe. Nice security guard. Coffee in the am. Free parking. Though not enough spots at times.

The area can be nosy and it’s not a super pretty part of Hollywood but it is close to many things! We walked to many restaurants, walk of fame and drove to universal in 10minutes. Do not expect anything amazing but definitely a decent stay if you want to be close to many tourist spots. Would stay again in the future.
