Could use a little "refresh," but if it's just a room to sleep in, it's perfectly fine. Highly recommend if you are attending a event at the Hollywood Bowl

Facilities was dated and TV was limited in viewing options - first hotel I’ve stayed at that didn’t have streaming services available :(

Had a great one night stay at the Lexen. If you need a clean safe place to shower and rest your head Lexen is a good choice. It's centrally located and very close to the Hollywood Bowl. Staff we interacted with were very nice. Room was a bit worn but it was clean. Minimal amenities but an effort is made with their small snack to purchase area. Ease of self parking was a highlight for me. $200 security deposit will be held and $40 parking charge but that's to be expected in LA.

The parking was difficult, could even find the entrance and very tight and double parked. The bed was very low so my husband had a hard time getting out. Service was great and location was perfect could walk to the Bowl as well as Hollywood Blvd. Cheapest parking available.

We stayed for 1 night as we attended an event at Hollywood bowl. I loved how close it was, rooms were clean and really nice. Staff was friendly, would stay again when in the area.

The location in the room was perfect. The room was cozy and fit my needs. I loved the large bathroom bathrooms. The parking was a little tricky, but the staff was very wonderful and extremely helpful. They have it completely dialed in.

I liked the short walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the joining two bedroom sweet for privacy between my parties. The hotel was in direct line with a busy street. We heard non-stop honking from cars from the room, and the hotel parking was in adequate. The street was narrow and did not allow for many cars to be parked.

The whole hotel was clean. Room was the cleanest we've stayed at in a long time! The Room we stayed in had a queen bed, it was a bit small but enough for a couple. Restroom was perfect, my wife loved the mirror and lighting. It could use a full size mirror in the room. Overall best deal and best hotel I've stayed in Hollywood.

Quick stay; location was in walking distance of walk of fame however you do have to cross through heavy traffic to get there. Older aesthetic as far as infrastructure but bathrooms were very up to date, renovation?? Staff friendly on telling me how to get places

The bed was comfy The staff member that completed my checkin was the single worst hotel receptionist i've ever encountered. No warmth, no friendliness, no customer service, no help, no nothing. She was useless and had her head in her phone everytime I saw her and at the brginning of every interaction I had. The hotel only provided tea/coffee amenities for one person, not the two that were booked. No safety deposit box, which is crazy considering accusations of belongings going missing in the reviews. The location is also awful!!! Not close to anything, very noisy.

This property is well located. That is nice. It’s a pain to get ice. They have to bring it to you. They didn’t have many other anmenities available other than that. Furniture a bit worn, needs an update on it. Tattered, worn carpet, stains on couch. Wallpaper had some separation. Carpet need to be steam clean. If you walk on with bare feet it is sticky. Pretty noisy through the window from the busy street down below. Need better windows because you can hear every siren every horn. Too much perfume is being used between cleanings.

Room: Clean and simple. Bed was comfortable. There was a small desk, but no chair. My window looked at another building. The bathroom was clean and very functional. Amenities and service: The desk was bare-bones - provided check-in, but not much other service was required. Not sure if there's a gym - I didn't use it. There is no restaurant - only candy/chip machines. The wifi worked well. Overall: A decent, clean, cheaper place to stay.

3rd time staying here. the elevator was broken and 1 of the rooms in ur suite smelled of urine. house keeping must of been aware of the issue because both days after getting back to our room the windows were wide open

The hotel itself was very clean. Friendly receptionists! They have a little snack/vending area which was nice to have so close to the room. The room itself was very nice, super clean. Had everything you need for a comfortable stay!

Close to the action of Hollywood and Highland. Walkable to many attractions. Very affordable. Nice bathroom. The bedroom was a little dirty. The air conditioner in the room doesn’t work so well. The room let in a lot of nearby road noise but if you sleep with a pillow over your head like I do, you should be fine.

The elevator was out the day I checked in with my three suitcases and had to be taken up three flights of stairs. The front desk worker did help me out. I was charged a fee for a “damaged bedsheet” that I was told “had a stain on it”….I don’t know what white bedsheet doesn’t show a single stain…but as far as I’m concerned if it’s not one of those well known stain causing culprits (blood, wine, etc) then it should be more than able to be washed! So that was a sorry excuse in order to justify them charging me the fee.

Stayed 4 nights, very nice room, bathroom was wide with all amenities included :) very close to universal and touristic areas! Coffee machine was excellent and clean ladies very kind, would recommend!

We did arrive pretty late so when we arrived, the front desk employee was asleep lol I had to say hello twice. I was disappointed that when I called earlier I asked if I could get late check out and the person on the phone said sure that he’ll just add it for free! When I got there, I confirmed with the front desk that I called and I had complimentary late checkout and the employee there was not aware that I called and said that late checkout is $25. Besides that, room is pretty modern, just a bit dingy in the furniture. I probably wouldn’t come back personally but it’s an ok choice if you’re on a budget and want to be walking distance from hollywood

I stayed here as I was visiting the outskirts of LA so the location worked well for me. The place was comfortable and the bathroom was really nice, but the bedroom floor was not vacuumed in the corners. There’s also a fair amount of street noise so consider bringing earplugs.

It’s nice close to the walk of fame. And it wasn’t very pricey. Worth it to be honest. In the closet it seems like there’s rust or something popping out of the wall, it’s not a little bit but it’s a very large piece. I think the room was 211

Good property, clean and adequate It took 40 minutes to check out because no one was at the front desk. They had left a phone number to call of which we called twice—no one answered. Another staff member, we think the cleaning staff, had to track down the front desk person who was off property. We were checking out at a normal time so this was nuts.

Close to Walk of fame, universal studios. It’s clean and tidy. Close to restraunts. Only thing is that they don’t have water bottles supplied.

Other than that- the hotel is a great place to stay if you’re on a budget. Traffic from Hollywood bowl is pretty bad too but that’s usually during a concert. The room looked about how you’d expect in Hollywood, but the staff were fantastic! We got there early and they upgraded our room so we wouldn’t have to wait! If you’re in town for universal I definitely recommend this hotel.

We arrive at the hotel at 7:15pm, there was no one at the desk to check in, no "on a break" sign out so i rang the bell, no answer. Waved at the cameras, nothing. Called the number on the card that rang at the phone on the desk still no one came. My boyfriend brought in our luggage then went looking for any employee as well as another customer whom stated he had an issue finding the receptionist to which he found her out back smoking earlier. Neither found her. Another customer comes down looking for the receptionist whom also stated she waited a long time to check in earlier (receptionist missing). Finally at 7:43pm the receptionist comes walking down the stairs nonchalantly, stated she was on her break, didn't introduce herself, didn't apologize, nothing. She sat her belongings down, checked us in, we got in our room around 7:50pm. We come down 20min later, she was gone again. We went to the concert which of course we were late to. Our bed base, covered with vinyl, was ripped and the glass shower door was partly removed with a curtain assisting to cover the gap due to missing glass door.

This place is in a perfect location for walkability to the Hollywood bowl and the boulevard. The only downside to this hotel is the parking. It’s very limited and first come first serve. Otherwise I liked the rooms, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also daily maid service which is hard to find. The restaurant at the Best Western across the street is good too.

Javier at check in and Brenda at check out were amazing. Javier checked me in like a pro and I felt very well taken care of. I overheard a very very difficult customer when I was checking and I can't believe how calm and professional Brenda remained.

Great location and overall a nice hotel. Only negative for me was the room keys kept stopping working and i had to go to the reception to get new ones. Happend 4/5 times and i was only staying for 4 nights. I would stay again

The Hotel staff did not know how to process my Hotels.com paid reservation. It was very inconvenient to be waiting thru the night for the hotel to speak to Hotels.com team to learn how to solve this

It’s convenient, 2 blocks from Hollywood Bowl. It’s off a busy Blvd. There is limited parking impossible to get in and out. They double park so you have to leave your key. It took forever to check in. One guy at a desk. Checking out they said I had to get out of my room, then they’d send someone to the room to check to release my deposit. The owner came in to check the room. It was strange. Will never stay there again. It wasn’t cheap either. $350 for one night. I asked for two queens they gave us a king.

I walked into someone else’s occupied room. We closed the door headed back down. The ladies called the manager and explained what happened they refunded our $25 parking and put us in a suite. This was not acceptable I had to check to make sure the safety lock was on all night. Because it was a non refundable room we had to stay. But at the point I didn’t feel safe at all. Luckily the other guest was not in their room. If they were I don’t even want to imagine their reaction.

I had easy access to enter the property, someone was always present at the front desk.

Not for me. This is definitely not what I was expecting, small room with loud AC cooler unit, weird stains on furniture. Parking was a real nightmare, construction workers start working next-door at 7:00am. Overall, a horrible experience!

Parking can be tricky. It’s a very narrow and small area if you double park you have to leave your keys with the front desk. I was concerned at when it worked out, but it was fine. There is a big mini fridge and they will bring ice to your room. This hotel is by remodeled 5 to 10 years ago and it’s starting to see wear. It’s nice because it’s so close to Hollywood and Highland. It was roughly $200 a night. It felt like it should be $150-$175 a night.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the rooms themselves were not in the best condition. Not being able to control the AC properly was a huge problem, and the fan in the bathroom didn’t really work.

This was a great hotel for a one night stay in Hollywood. Most of what we wanted to do was in walking distance. Was surprised there wasn’t a shelf over the rod in the closet and no dresser or bureau to put clothes in. However for one night, it wasn’t an issue for us. Would stay again for sure!

The vending machine did not work and the microwave for guests to use was in the hotels laundry room.

The hotel is a perfect spot if you wanted to walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and just a short drive to Universal, which is exactly what I was looking for! The only downside was parking because it was such a tight spot for a building. There were about 14 spots and that's including being double parked on some. The room itself was nice and comfortable. If you aren't really looking to stay in your room during your stay, then the room is great for the price and comfort.

We decided to stay here as a part of our impromptu stay in LA the hotel was okay enough. It is very basic and no frills. Room was clean enough but our windows were open when we checked in. The area its in is crawling with homeless people and is absolutely not safe, in our first 10 mins, we watched a homeless man pulling food and trash out of a can and eating it. It just wasnt for us. I would not stay here again. Mostly because of the area not really a reflection on the hotel. Also its not advertised but you WILL be paying for parking and it is VERY limited. Just a heads up.

Clean and the condition of the place is good. comfortable overall from the bed , sheets amd the size of room. It could use a vanity or another long mirror besides the one in the BR. a microwave even if it’s not inside the room but accessible for guess.

Nice place. You can walk to the venue from there. It would take 7 minutes to walk it there.

You need to leave your keys at the front desk and have teenagers move your car in and out so they can double park other guests cars. The room to your door isn’t heavy enough to close on its own so you need to be mindful to pull it closed every single time. Vending machine was broken and there’s no where to get a bottle of water. Beds are incredibly hard and there was prior damage in the rooms that the staff seem unconcerned about.

The staff was great but the first room we check into had weird pink spurs and other stations on the white desks and ends tables, we got switched to another room because the photos were in actuate and then that room had what looked to be wax stains on the end tables and the desk in that room was also dirty, there’s currently construction going on right next door so about 200 feet from my window i got woken up to banging and drilling at 7:30am.

It was nice, did have to ask for ice from front desk which seemed to annoy the desk worker.

Honestly, I had a pretty good experience. My friend and I needed somewhere to stay for the night and this was an amazing option. Parking can be tight, but I personally had no issue since I have a smaller car. It’s like a 10min walk from all the hollywood entertainment areas (and the walk is calm with maybe some homeless, but nothing threatening). Other than that, the hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the bed was comfy. Would recommend!

Pleasant staff but the room smelled horribly of cologne and the furniture was dirty.

The room itself was okay, there was some awful stains on some of the furniture. Rather uncomfortable for the price this room cost. The staff was particularly unhelpful when I needed service at night. Parking was extremely small and difficult to come out of.

One of the make staff tried stealing my credit card information so I had to order a new card

I appreciate the hotel letting me check in early first in fore most because most hotels will not do that at all but when I arrived no one was at the desk and I had to wait a while for someone to help me which I’ve never been to a hotel and no one was at the desk that is very unprofessional to me. The room was nice and comfortable. The hotel was affordable and price was right. If they fix the customer service part I would stay there again.

Convenient distance to Universal Studios; Seemed like limited parking but it is a small facility so probably best to have limited access. Comfortable and spacious, the only downside (not major problem) was the bed was super low.

everything went smoothly and it was clean, the only thing that was weird is that after using the restroom and i washed my hands at the sink i could see my stuff come out the sink which was pretty weird and made me question the water quality but other than that our stay was good and very close to the train station . walkable food options as well.

Nice, renovated hotel with a small number of rooms in Hollywood. It's very clean and comfortable, right by the Hollywood Bowl and the 101, not too far from the Walk of Fame. Parking is tight, but they have a small lot with covered spots. It's a no frills, clean and comfortable small hotel. Recommended.

The hotel is extremely damaged, everything in the room looks either broken or does not work. The windows are extremely loose and the cold air was coming in. The AC/Heater did not work. The doors locks were broken. The place needs a major upgrade.

Room was freezing cold. The heat did not work. I was in room 210 on the second floor and when I contacted the front desk, he came to the room unplugged it and said there was nothing they could do cause it was sold out he bought three blankets and he thought that it was funny. I will never stay here again. Horrible experience parking. They only have 11 spots. It’s not worth the headache and four dollars for a damn canned soda is a rip off for almost $500 a night. It’s better to go across the street to either the Hilton or The Best Western.

It is just a basic room but for the price and it’s clean I would recommend. It’s nosey from traffic due to being so close but all is all I would stay here again.
