My room was generic, but was clean.

The first night got worse around 1am. I heard a woman screaming in the hallway, what sounded like a serious argument with a man. She fell down the stairs. Twenty minutes later LAPD showed up banging on a door for at least 10 minutes trying to get someone to open up. I looked out and an officer asked if I had heard the screaming. It turned out to be a domestic/custody situation. I felt genuinely unsafe and barely slept. Room itself was okay but showed its age. The AC had a mildew smell so I kept the windows open, but they were rusted and hard to deal with. The bathroom floor was visibly bulging, likely from old water damage. Towels were thin and worn out. On the upside, housekeeping was reliable and friendly, the pool had guests actually using it, and the location is hard to beat – right next to the Metro and walking distance to Thai Town. If you just need somewhere cheap to sleep near East Hollywood, it works. But I wouldn’t go back, and I wouldn’t stay longer than a night or two.
- 2/5
It was a place to sleep and shower, however, looked nothing like the pictures online. There were various areas on the walls with dirt and/or food. The room smelled or the AC unit. The office person on Friday wasn’t very friendly and when I asked for another set of towels, the following day, he was hesitant and asked, “didn’t we already have towels?” So overall, it was not worth the price but live and learn.
- 5/5
Great place and affordable
- 1/5
All the reviews talked about how clean this hotel was. Well complete opposite for us. dirty floors, long dark hair everywhere, the sheets had nasty stains. Floors coming apart like it was probably flooded. towels are dingy. refrigerator is very small. The window did not shut all the way, so it was open all night. could hear traffic and smell different types of smoke. Spoke with the desk when checking out since no body was available when we tried to reach them to let them know about the room. He said he would talk to a manager and they would reach out but never did. For the price it was terrible, never again.
- 2/5
Rooms had no USB C charging ports. Thin walls, I could hear people walking and closing doors all night. Beds were too soft.
- 1/5
Thieves in the hotel crew. Went back to the room right after checking out to grab my headphones that i left on the bed but they were already stolen by the crew.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel very affordable
- 4/5
Staff was friendly
- 5/5
I like staff, the diner table, clean room.
- 5/5
This hotel is close to bus stop and metro. I dont have to use the car at all. Laundry is available with coin pay.
- 3/5
Staff would be more close to guests
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff.
- 5/5
I have stayed here a couple of times and definitely recommend this place, Rooms are always clean they have the amenities that are required for a trip such as iron, microwave and a coffee maker. This is my go to hotel when I am in the area visiting.
- 3/5
I liked the hotel overall but for what I paid for a “deluxe” room it has little to no privacy with the owner who checked us in walking around outside our window smoking. I loved the pool but not sure what can be done about the windows. Free parking was a great plus
- 3/5
known upfront, of copying the front of a drivers license I would not book a reservation. Hence forth I will call a property and find out such that I "Can know" the business before I make a reservation and won't do business with overly intrusive properties. Scanning the back is one thing. Making a digital copy of the front is quite another. This is my PII. This is my identity. It belongs to me and me alone.
- 5/5
Nice setting pool is great. Staff friendly..
- 5/5
Quite, clean costumer friendly. Pool is great staff is very reliable and responsive if needed.
- 5/5
👍👍
- 3.5/5
Clean and near metro station Its old
- 5/5
The rooms were clean, thanks to the great cleaning staff who were very nice and accommodating. I booked multiple times here because of their good service, but there are some touch-ups that can be easily resolved in some of the rooms: replacing old broken furnitures, painting, replacing shower poles, and checking refrigerators for frost buildup.
- 5/5
What a cute motel. The location is awesome, the pool is adorable, the rooms are a good size and the staff were excellent. I will definitely stay there next time I am in LA.
- 4/5
The location seems good to travel around. Free and large enough parking also counts for some one who only need to park and stay overnight.
- 5/5
Spacious room and good amenities especially for the price point.
- 4.5/5
Convenient location Tiny parking lot
- 4/5
Clean hotel. Pool was nice. Had no problems. Would stay again. Website says there’s breakfast but there is no breakfast. Perhaps they should change that at hotels.com. That is my only complaint.
- 5/5
Good for staycation and feel comfortable I don't have a problem with the property, the problem is the people who review this hotel. Especially about the parking. It's true that there is one parking per room, there's nothing wrong with that, it's their problem, they'll find a way. The staff is friendly, especially in the office.
- 1/5
- 5/5
Affordable & great location. Attractions & eateries walking distance. Friendly staff.

It was beautiful and centrally located Nothing really
- 5/5
No complaints we enjoyed our stay
- 4/5
Great location, clean room. Noisy every time the outside door opened. We asked for four extra pillows and received two. The fan in the bathroom was loud.
- 5/5
Felt safe for the area. Only a few homeless people on the streets out front. Relatively quiet. The room was clean and the staff was helpful when requesting extra towels. Grounds seemed to be well kept. There was a pool that looked nice but we didn't utilize it. Free parking was a nice perk. The bed was comfy and the room was a good temperature. Had a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, good location, cleanish rooms. Would stay again!
- 4/5
Continental breakfast is no longer offered.
- 0.5/5
Dirty property The refuse me to sell a room I ask them why they didn’t give no answer
- 4/5
Everything was ok,no biggie.
- 5/5
The room when we walked in was nice, and clean. The amenities were great. If you’re looking for a simple place to stay I really recommend Hollywood City Inn. Would love to come back again!
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Needs better lighting but adequate room
- 5/5
Fridge is too small, make it larger. Los Angeles is hot, we need to keep more cold beverages. Other than that, excellent. Our first time here and we will be back again next time.
- 5/5
I really love this place. It is convenient to most of central LA/Hollywood, it is clean, rooms are big and well maintained, and there is plenty of parking. I stay here all the time.
- 4/5
Room was clean...however it states non-smoking but rooms have that stale hotel smoking room smell. Parking is free, if you can find a stall. We returned late evening and had to park in the way of the entrance..staff gave us the ok. It was 1 night only so not a bad place to stay. Pool was very clean as well.
- 4/5
Very convenient to busses to Hollywood Blvd
- 3.5/5
This is a little far from LA's more glittery Westside. When you're in LA you have to factor in driving and parking time and it's always more than you want to allot.
- 5/5
TV has many channels/ choices. Pool was super clean! And they did have outdoor smoking areas. Overall, very good place to stay. Close to everything by Metro ( only 2 stops to downtown Hollywood/ Walk of Stars). Would definitely stay there again, the price and location can't be beat.
- 5/5
It's right off Hollywood Blvd the Metro Rail is two minutes away shopping center is across the street Leo's Tacos is less than 3 minutes down the street bed is comfortable there's a microwave and a mini fridge highly recommend this place
- 3/5
The AC unit didn't work very well, so room was hot and humid. Had to wait for staff to return from break to check in (right at check-in time).
- 5/5
The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Will definitely stay again
- 1.5/5
This place seems to be too busy to keep up with. The bed was okay and clean and the shower, sink, toilet and counters were clean. The hardwood floor was disgusting. I wore shoes the entire 1 night stay. The up keep on the room was poor. The ceiling is falling apart in the bathroom and behind the toilet area was falling apart too.
- 4/5
Très biens situé
- 4/5
Cons: mattress is super firm, pillows are flat, & no soundproofing so bring a noise machine.
- 4/5
Cons: I had a slight issue with the room I was in; there appeared to have been significant water damage to the bathroom door show signs of swells. The bathroom looked like makeshift patch work, not the topical hotel/Inn bathroom.
- 5/5
Room was spacious and clean, equipped with functional mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom was clean, you can tell the fixtures were on the older side, but everything worked great with no complaints. Bar soap provided by the sink, and hotel shampoo/conditioner. Overall, for a weekend trip this is an ideal spot, especially being close to Hollywood & Thai town. Parking is limited, and can be a little tight, but it's not difficult to find street parking.
- 4/5
The size of parking is perfect for van size love that they have refrigerator and microwave
- 4/5
The electric kettle was not very clean. The shower area lacked a water barrier; if you take a long shower, water may flow into the bedroom.
- 3/5
Con-hotel stay was not great due to hot water ran out when taking a shower. Parking is too cramped. Not enough pillows for comfort.
- 4/5
I appreciate the free parking, its closeness to other things, including the Hollywood Palladium for shows, and comfort level. Sometimes there might not be any parking spots available. The price could be a little cheaper because of the quality of the hotel.
- 5/5
It was within the acceptable, the stay in the place was only to sleep, but acceptable and clean the place
- 5/5
i need a bottom floor room for my special needs daughter and delightfully the manager was able to accommodate us....
- 1/5
It said on the app that there was breakfast and apparently there wasnt. Their was a broken stool and fell Down. Guy at front desk had terrible attitude.
- 5/5
Great place!! Staff is friendly always greeted with a smile!
- 0.5/5
The front desk staff so rude the guy that drives a Prius V gray I went there a lot of times and all the time was harassing me and make me feel uncomfortable one day I pay him with $1 dollars bill and he told normal we don’t take this this is the first time and last time that i give him $1 dollars bills I get so mad because for us money that I work for it , it was my tips for the day , I don’t know why the owner still have that guy a the motel he is the one that make their business so slow and customers will not comeback because of his attitude ?? management of front desk is excellent guy , housekeeping nice work the only bad thing is him and I will not going back again The front desk guy
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
There's free parking on site; it can get quite full so I've hesitated to drive out for dinner, but haven't had a problem when checking in. The motel is a block away from a half-decent Target and a selection of food trucks. The area is maybe a bit sketchy, especially at night, but the motel is secure and I haven't had or seen any issues. Overall, if you have to stay in East Hollywood, this is well-priced and a perfectly good place to sleep. I will happily do so again!
- 5/5
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating from the start. The outdoor areas, pool and room were clean and the parking was so convenient. We loved the sparkling pool and I felt very safe with my teenagers at this property. Conveniently located to all things in the Los Angeles area. Minutes from hiking at Griffith Park and easy access to the freeways. Such a value. I will definitely be staying here again! Beds could be a bit more comfortable and could use a little refresh, but still a value:)
- 1/5
No breakfast
- 5/5
I never at the breakfast
- 4/5
I had to leave 2 days earlier due to family emergency. I worked for 21 years for Montrose Travel agency in Montrose Travel in Montrose city,CA. I am very well familiar with travel rules If you stayed at hotel and need to check out earlier - no problem The only request I had for receptionist was to give me print out of my actual stay for ,1 night He refused to do so motivating it - you booked with Expedia I explained once again, that i am not asking hotel to refund my card - just want the receipt for my one day stay and early checkout He refused to do it im a very rude way I stayed in this hotel before and the manager is very nice man, who always tried to make the vistomer happy, was very friendly and helpful- but due to this employee's attitude I will never book this hotel again I come to LA at least once a month, but now I am choosing another hotels in Hpllywood
- 5/5
it was everything I needed plus those free parking close to the strip plus they have a pool!
- 3/5
It's not a top of the line place to stay but works in a pinch . My girlfirend had to stay at the hospital over night down the street and I just needed a place to park my body for the night as well as the car rather than sleep in a hospitasl bed for the night or cot and pay for parking in their building at the rate of $17 for each time you come and go if you leave before 24 hours which then the hospital will cover it but you're stuck there . You get what you pay for . The people who run the place were nice as well as very helpful. I had issues connecting my computer to the Wifi and the guy who worked there knew how toi get into my computer and remove what was blocking it as it's a new computer to me and didn't understand what needed to be done .
- 2/5
I booked a “Superior Room” with a King bed and they put me in a much smaller room and said all the other rooms were occupied. This room had paper-thin walls and the door didn’t seal properly, so I could hear everything in the hallway and in the rooms around me, and the light from the hallway bled into my room too. The AC didn’t work as well. Even though it was a King bed, there was also only one bedside table. No breakfast either, but I knew that before booking. The bed was pretty comfortable though.
- 3/5
The ceiling in the bathroom leaked water all over my tooth brush. The ceiling looked like it had major water damage for a while. The wifi didn’t work very well
- 4/5
Good location & the free parking was a great plus! A little noisy at night
- 5/5
The cleaning ladies are super nice. Every morning they greeted us and made us feel welcomed . Super easy to check in and he made sure we knew how to get around too.
- 5/5
Love this place!!
- 4/5
Don't know about the laundry but a/c kept the room comfortable
- 5/5
It was the best
- 4/5
Room is clean.
- 5/5
Lo ideal para un buen descanso. Limpieza al 100.
- 4/5
Room was good. Shower pressure excellent but lead to watery floors in bathroom.
- 0.5/5
No WiFi very hot in the room hotel manager tried to fix ac but couldn’t the tv didn’t work he would not offer a refund or change rooms. Homeless people walking around outside yelling late at night I saw a man eating out of the dumpster outside the staff smokes pit when cleaning your room. DO NOT STAY HERE
- 3/5
There was no soundproof from upstairs, next door and I can hear the tv sound, water shower machine sound.
- 1/5
HORRIBLE
- 2/5
Internet is bad and AC doesnt cool
- 4/5
Nice rooms, remodeled, convenient locations, shopping near by.
- 2/5
When we got there, a window was broken when you would slide it to open it . the bathroom was nasty. It was not clean right there was dust everywhere and other people’s hair in the shower. Location was great, but the room was not the best wouldn’t stay again.
- 3/5
Room was clean air conditioner never got very cold. They do NOT offer breakfast which was advertised on Expedia. Parking was good
- 3/5
No elevator so you will have to carry your bags through stairs, no shampoo and liquor soap. The empty containers didn't get filled the next day. The office staff talk to you through the glass window. Like they said, what do you expect for the price :)
- 4/5
Nice stay spot
- 3/5
One of the main issues was the breakfast. The listing on Expedia mentioned that breakfast was included, but there was no breakfast available during my stay, or at least it was never mentioned or explained at check-in. This affected my planning and budget since I had to spend extra money on meals. I also booked what was listed as a superior room, but the room I received felt like a standard one. There wasn’t any clear confirmation or explanation from the front desk about the upgrade, which was a bit disappointing. Another thing to note is that my room was located in a separate building, which was somewhat confusing at first. Additionally, there is no elevator, so carrying luggage up and down stairs was inconvenient. Overall, the hotel was fine for a place to sleep, but with clearer communication, accurate listings, and a few improvements, it could be a much better experience
- 3/5
Needs to uograde rooms and remodel. Last remodel was about 16 years ago.
- 3/5
The accesibility of location Poor WiFi, the location is great but the neiborhood is weird a lot of homeless
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Everything about this property was fantastic! Great room with comfortable beds, very good working AC unit, microwave and mini fridge, flat screen tv, shower and bath. The water pressure was great, parking was convenient, the pool was super nice, awesome balcony table relaxing area and nice decorative fountain. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

- 5/5

- 4/5
All was good, parking is most helpful
- 4/5
Needed a last minute spot for a quick stay and this place totally fit the bill! I know the area well and can share it’s close to a lot around town. Good off street parking.
- 4/5
But everything else is functional.
- 4.5/5
Property had great amenities and water pressure. The separate sink area was a great addition to the room as well. The walls were a little thin and unfortunately we had our neighbors arguing and fighting and we could hear everything but we still got through the night.
- 3/5
The room slme
- 5/5
Welcoming, clean and quiet
- 5/5
Clean ample rooms, courteous staff, & good location.
- 5/5
Great amenities and various food and transport options are close by
- 1/5
One of the only reason why we booked this place was because is was reasonably priced and they advertised breakfast, Come to find out they actually don’t serve breakfast. Then we had issues with the deposit but they were very strict about the deposit meaning no one else can put the deposit down unless it was the person who booked so we had to get cash. The main problem wasn’t the money or the breakfast it was the customer service, the front desk person was very unfriendly and condescending. The room was okay but there were a lot of damages already there, which was kinda concerning in regards of the deposit. Also there was some homeless people that were just hanging out the parking lot and was just looking around cars and hanging around the entrance which honestly staff didn’t do anything about it. Over all this place was not horrible there’s definitely worse places you can stay but we felt like we could’ve got the same if not better service/experience at motel 6 but we payed almost 2x the amount of what motel 6 was charging.
- 5/5
The room was clean & comfortable. The Expedia listing states they serve breakfast but they do not.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel.! Clean and quiet.! Nice indoor hallway to get to room.! Very kind and welcoming staff.! Thank you.!
- 3/5
Room, staff, location are all excellent for a budget motel. Only issue was the noise through the walls and ceilings that kept us awake. Also, the other drunk motel guests on Saturday night yahooing outside our door.
- 3/5
Nice hotel with a pool in the middle. Room was clean and quiet, just the airconditioning was a bit noisy(ish). Nice location, close to Beverly Hills (by car).
- 4/5
Parquin lot is to reduce
- 3/5
Staff was very nice, room was clean. Very basic room.
- 2/5
The pictures did not accurately capture the room. Bedside table and bathroom surfaces were dirty and I cleaned them before I felt comfortable to use them. Baseboards were chipped, rotting and pulling away from walls. Flooring was separating and cracks filled with dirt. While I understand you get what you pay for, it should have been clean. Will not stay again.
- 1/5
Hotel was dirty. Pictures and reviews could be misleading. However, manager was nice enough to offer another room or a refund.
- 4/5
Front desk is friendly. Nice spot super close to Griffith park walking distance to trail head I was able to hike early in the o
- 2/5
The room definitely needed some attention. Could’ve been cleaned better. They do not offer breakfast. One chair would have been nice, the price was fair…you get what you pay for. I would not stay there again
- 3/5
I had no hot water

- 5/5
Clean Room for a night, water pressure in shower very strong. Staff helpful
- 4/5
Love the location and convenience of being able to walk around. The room is clean. Would stay again.
- 3/5
There is no breakfast offered at this site. The walkways and parking lot were pitch black after dark making it difficult to walk to your room and even find the hotel after dark. There were holes in the wall in my room and there was no table or chairs. The front office staff were terrible. The maids made up with what they could.
- 5/5
Nice and helpful staff
- 3/5
Room could have better maintenance. Staff members were kind and helpful.
- 5/5
No breakfast
- 4/5
Overall my experience was good, even though the place is very much outdated, if you don’t care about modernism to have a comfortable stay this is a passable place to stay at. It was clean, staff was over all good. Amenities are close by. Surprisingly the pool seemed to be available for use.
- 5/5
Not bad at all- great place
- 4/5
Location to Hollywood Palladium and surrounding helpful stores. Able to park your car for free in their pretty spacious lot and just walk to places.

Decent place to stay.
- 5/5
It was an average hotel. Saw some spots on our pillows.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and so were the grounds
- 5/5
It was clean and supper comfy.
- 1/5
Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The room was extremely dirty: there was dust on the furniture, stains on the bedding, and the floor was unclean. The bathroom also felt unhygienic. I hope the management improves their cleaning standards, as the room did not meet the expected level.
- 5/5
Very clean and great location.
- 1/5
So we asked for a room change and the coordination between the staff was inefficient and had to stay in cold as we went daily to visit places and come back to hotel at night. Will never go to this hotel again.
- 1/5
The room we got was at the end of small corridor , the heater made scary noise all night . Not enough blanket , no tissue paper in the bathroom . I slept only may be 4 hours .
- 4/5
It was alright, fridge was small and the tv didn't work the first couple of days.
- 3/5
though staff and employees are friendly, pleasant and accommodating
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 4/5
It is a bit dated, motel style. No breakfast. Free parking is a big plus.
- 5/5
Room was clean. The location was close to the metro and it was easy to move around from the airport to the hotel then to the walk of fame and universal studio. Loved the location and most importantly the price. No breakfast but they have a fridge and a microwave.
- 5/5
Room is fine.

- 4/5
The checkin staff was friendly. The room met all my basic requirements at a great price. Just the air-cond constantly chirped a bit but that didn’t bother me. I liked there was both microwave and fridge in the room. Parking was easy and included. Not the best neighborhood or clientele, bit I would stay here again.
- 4/5
It was clean and comfortable

2 star motel. Not much options. Free coffe in the morning. Close to some amenities. Basic if you just like to sleep after a long day. Bed was very soft and uncomfortable. Reasonable basic vibe.
- 5/5
Great stay ! Stayed previous and would stay again . Reasonable price and in between Hollywood blvd and sunset strip west of Hollywood . Clean , comfortable room .
- 5/5
This has become our go to place to stay in Los Angeles. The management is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the neighborhood is decent.
- 5/5
No breakfast, we knew that going in. Room clean. Grounds clean. Free parking in an area that most do not provide. Easy walk to nearby grocery and dining. Easy commute to nearby attractions.
- 1/5
No staff, in room: no coffee, no washcloths, no outlets near the bed, no hangers, no cups for water, no nothing. PLUS: pay for self park when not noted in description
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Also we got the smallest fridge ever. Besides that everything was fine.
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and helpful! Great location if you plan hanging around the Hollywood Walk of Fame area.
- 5/5
Good experience!!
- 4/5
I saw no breakfast.
- 5/5
It was so nice and calm, and very nice and clean environment and the room was perfect conditions in every aspect
- 4/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Comfortable, spacious, well-appointed room for the price. Neighborhood, however, is a little dodgy.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean
- 5/5
Great location, comfy spot, would stay again!
- 4/5
Front desk was nice and easy check in. Room wasnt anything spectacular but it was clean and the beds were decently soft. Finding the hotel was easy and onsite parking was perfect. The upstairs was a bit noisy but wasnt so bad that we couldn't get any sleep. I would stay here again.
- 2/5
The room was pretty nasty looking but the staff was nice
- 4/5
Great Location. If you just need a place to sleep and this place will do.
- 4/5
Clean room close to my distinction
- 1/5
- 5/5
Easy walking to shopping and restaurants. Short rides to los Angeles attractions. Quiet building, clean and spacious rooms. Shower was very nice, hot water and great water pressure.
- 3/5
This property is conveniently located one block of Hollywood boulevard. Free parking was great and easy. The property was clean and surprisingly quiet at night. It was very convenient for the purpose of my trip.
- 2/5
The fridge was dirty and I had requested in this app for a room in the bottom because my son has heart problems and he can do stairs that much and we use his wheelchair because he gets tired
- 4/5
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room and property were clean. Only problem was that the tile in the bathroom is loose and could be dangerous.
- 2/5
Not bad for the price. But we upgraded to queen beds and were put in room with two fulls. When I asked to change I got pushback from clerk. Then he put us in the worst two queen room. Smaller. Noisier. And it looked like a basement. Vindictive hotel
- 5/5
It was all great, the only thing is that at night we cold hear the people on the next room showering or every time they opened the water.
- 5/5
Great location convenient to Hollywood Blvd. Check in was easy, staff were friendly and the room (while not the absolute cleanest) was spacious and had a microwave, fridge and in-room coffee which is rare for this level hotel. Just a couple blocks walk to Target, Ralph's, Walgreens/CVS and tons of food options including a late night taco truck and lots of Thai Town restaurants. Parking was good, although rather than driving I took the buses on Sunset and Hollywood to Silverlake and WeHo which saved the stress of LA traffic. This part of Hollywood is a bit seedy but this place felt like an oasis in the midst of it. Will definitely return.
- 5/5
Clean room, very quiet area. Liked that every place I needed was close by. Will definitely return and recommend this place.
- 5/5
Es buen kugar para quedarse es tranquilo, silencioso, familiar, limpio, buen trato
- 3/5
Good budget friendly hotel. You get what you pay for.
- 4/5
property is outdated, room so so. stayed one night
- 4/5
Heating in room could only go to 69 degrees
- 3/5
Parking included was cool ig
- 5/5
Maids were great
- 4/5
Very run of the mill and as expected for the price location.
- 2/5
They have a lobby area but with restricted access. I tried to work in that area but the manager refused to give me access
- 4/5
Prices fluctuate a lot.
- 5/5
El lugar está bonito muy agradable y muy bien ubicado
- 5/5
One of the best motels I’ve stayed in the Hollywood area.
- 4/5
It was a good stay. Good price for the area as well. It was quiet I had no issues with noise or parking. Bed is comfortable as well, and rooms come with microwaves. Check in and check out was seamless. Only complaint is the hair found on everything. Every towel, and bed sheets/blankets had hair. White, red, black, blonde, we found all types. I just really didn’t like drying myself and seeing someone else’s hair on me, or even in the shower. It may not bother others but it disgusted me and made me think they weren’t washed properly. The pool looked very clean too. It was not a bad stay for just somewhere you just need to sleep and shower.
- 5/5
I didn't get to try the pool but it is very pretty property
- 2/5
The rest of the room was run down and not very clean.
- 1/5
Rooms in the annex fa
- 4/5
Clean comfortable room with comfortable bed . Pool area nice and well kept . Good price for area . Bit scetchy area at night with a lot of homeless. Felt save enough to walk around through day . My husband is staying again in November.
- 4/5
Property was clean and tidy and office staff were lovely and helpful. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Facilities included a microwave and small coffee maker. Ice machine and coin laundry onsite along with a lovely small pool area. Only downside was that the air conditioner is right beside one of the beds and could be cool to sit next too and the water in the shower/bath was not very hot. Location is excellent for Hollywood though with plenty of shops and dining options close by. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Very nice workers helped us in a time of need and pool was very clean and nice
- 3/5
This must be the most aggressively just acceptable lodging I've ever been to, including youth hostels. It has all the facilities you need, sure, and it's in a great location, but every single aspect of it was noisy, crummy or awkward. They do get a point for having great water pressure in the shower (along with stained towels and stained tile and sticky floors). Had I not paid in advance I would have considered staying somewhere else.
- 4/5
It was clean and comfortable. I had network issues for my connection and WiFi did not connect to the TV or my devices.
- 5/5
Great place cost value.
- 5/5
Was a nice, clean, and quiet room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Was nice to have a microwave and mini fridge also.
- 5/5
Great plave
- 1/5
The staff was not helpful and help other people steal from you when you stay their
- 2/5
It’s a Shabby hotel with a fresh makeover, unfriendly staff, and extremely tight parking
- 5/5
Will for sure stay at this hotel again very safe and affordable
- 5/5
Staff was awesome. Had a problem with my credit card. They were very patient & understanding.
- 5/5
Very nice stay! Asha the manager was very friendly and helpful. I would stay her again. Everything was quite good.
- 5/5
Good service, easy to park.
- 5/5
Definitely coming back here again
- 2/5
Unsafe bath tub, it’s slippery and nothing to hold on in case you slip during shower.
- 4/5
The pool and pool area was very nice. And free parking is a plus.
- 5/5
Always acool place to stay
- 5/5
The check-in was easy, the staff member was kind, and the room was spacious and clean. It was a great stay. Thank you!
- 4/5
Some interesting characters around, but we never felt unsafe. Thats just LA in general unfortunately 😕
- 5/5
Over all compare with what I paid was good deal!!
- 3/5
Parking was fine, maybe I'm dumb, but when it said free parking, I assumed it would be a big lot. Very limited parking, one car per room, which I think it should say that on the listing to avoid future guests from making my mistake. Luckily, all the gentlemen at the front desk were so kind about it and allowed a second car. If you don't have a car, one block north is Hollywood Blvd with a bus line that goes to the main portion of Hollywood junk and silverlake in the other direction. If you're not picky and need a place to sleep and keep your things, this is a fine place. But if you're picky about hotels, maybe another spot.
- 5/5
This particular motel was great for our trip to Universal Studios. The manager and workers take a lot of pride in customer service, cleanliness etc. "no parties or craziness here". Nice pool and not a bug in sight! Almost like it is "gated" and cameras everywhere. Parking is extremely limited. No guests allowed. The neighborhood around the property is quite "shady"; however the subway is very close, to get out of there. Will definitely stay here in the future.
- 4/5
The hotel served it's purpose, was close to the walk of fame. But it was on the not so savory end, so walking around could be a risk after dark. The room was a bit damp and smelled of cleaning products, but after we cracked the window it was fine. Beds were comfortable enough, front desk was helpful when needed. Didn't use the pool but it appeared clean. Basic but worth the price.
- 5/5
It was an amazing location near a lot of fun things and great hotel
- 4/5
Was easy acsess to everything, clean, quiet and friendly
- 4/5
Was close to a lot, and a good value. I liked the outside pool and that i could do laundry
- 4/5
Everything was nice I was just a little creeped out by the area around us
- 1/5
I had a room with out a TV & i reported and a person (worker) told me " i am going to install a new one TV in your room but i get back to hotel at 11:30 pm & "surpraise" NO TV yet & when i check out "i reported too that "many mosquitos" in the room (😡😡) so i had problems for that all long night "mosquitos over my face" and thinking " they're going to get inside my mouth" when sleeping"!!🤐😡🤐😡
- 4/5
nice
- 5/5
the service is very good. I also took the opportunity to do laundry. it has a big parking lot. the room was clean , big with nice shampoos. The location is excellent near Targit and two more groceries.
- 5/5
I love the cleanliness and friendliness of The Hollywood City Inn rooms and staff. I stay here every time I need to be in LA. I highly recommend. Budget friendly as well.
- 2/5
I didn't like the smell of the room it smell lik3 someone clean with dirty mop floor was sticky
- 1/5
Found roach in room within the first 10 mins of being in room. Told the manager and he was very rude about it saying since i "used" the room already there was nothing he could do. No apology, no room change, nothing. Contacted Expedia for a refund and when they tried to contact him, he ignored the calls. Zero stars.
- 3/5
I loved the hotel, it was my birthday and I wanted to hang out by the pool with some friends. I got a room w two beds to have some friends show up and hang out with me for the day. The AM manager was a very nice and friendly guy. The PM manager his name was Tim was a horrible person. He started questioning my stay and my guest. There's was other groups in the pool area but somehow only us Latino people were questioned about our stay. We had a small speaker and he mentioned no music around the pool area, there was no signs in the lobby or in the pool area that said this rule he just made up. He kept coming out to check up on us - it felt like we were being watched at all times. I am a teacher all my guests were responsible adults, in the other hand he kept smoking all around the pool area when I was told that was not permitted. It's very unfortunate that because of people like him a great stay has a bad memory.
- 5/5
It was very close to the red line metro to get to the hollywood boardwalk. There is a clean pool. The person in charge that was checking us in and out was very knowledgeable about the area and helpful. There is free parking right at the motel. The cleaning ladies were nice. There is free shampoo and conditioner, coffee in room. Mocrowave and small refrigerators in the room. Expedia says there is beeakfast there but there is not. Seems like a safe part of time. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very very nice people nice hotel
- 5/5
Nice hotel close to every location
- 2/5
Other close rooms were loud or arguing around 2am, water or toilet flushing was loud from close rooms, no elevator
- 5/5
Near establishments
- 3/5
The room was okay. They need to sweep the floors. The”owner-manager” needs to humble himself and learn effective communication. Nobody is interested in his dismissive attitude toward constructive feedback.
- 1/5
Property was not what it appeared in photos when booking.
- 5/5
Still nice hotel great service
- 1/5
Nasty
- 5/5
I love the Hollywood City Inn. The staff is great always greeted with a wonderful smile and attitude. The room was clean and nicely decorated. With great beds.
- 5/5
Loved the swimming pool and the flowers and trees surrounding it. Also loved having Ralph's, Target, and Chick-Fil-A nearby
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 4/5
Clean, quiet, and had parking. Worked out great.
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
Rooms were nice and comfortable , pool was nice, close to many
- 3/5
There was still hair in the shower from previous guests, main halls were wet from kids swimming and I slipped and fell and got hurt. There was almost never anyone at the window and they don't answer the phone to answer questions. A/C didn't work well. Rooms are advertised as sound proof but it was VERY noisy from other guests and road noise.
- 5/5
The pool was the best
- 4/5
For one night was ok
- 5/5
Each time we stay, the amenities get better. And great food walking distance from motel.
- 5/5
I like the access to transportation, shopping area, dininh access, and really clean rooms & quiet place.
- 2/5
The front desk was very nice when I checked in, but the pictures that they have on their Internet Page don’t look like the room that I got. The shower had a mildew smell like wet the king size bed. I noticed a lot of hair on the sheets when I opened up the blanket the refrigerator wasn’t working as well, and the bed squeaked a lot. It would wake up my daughter, every time, one of us would turn over the pool was nice. That’s pretty much the only thing that was nice.
- 5/5
Clean with all the basic necessities for a quick stay
- 5/5
Beautiful place. In good area. Close to walk of Fame. I really love it.
- 3/5
It was ok. Nothing bad, just an older 2 star motel. Cleanliness was ok, could have been better. Parking lot was kind of small so if you have a bigger suv or truck you have to be really careful. Grocery store, a couple of restaurants and shopping like target and Marshall’s literally a block away was really nice. I would probably stay here again if in the area. Stayed 2 nights to go to universal studios.
- 4/5
The staff was nice and the room was clean ,the rate was fare compare to the area
- 5/5
Great fhoice, location and cleanliness of hotel
- 4/5
I keep returning to HCI because it is clean, safe, and very conveniently located. The room I stayed in needs some fixing, though: clothes hanger closet is too small for shirts to hang down, the sink counter lighting is poor, and the one chair is too short for the desktop. Other than that, a very good facility all around!
- 2/5
The room and bathroom were really small, old and dirty, the towels were dirty I got bites from sleeping on the bed, it says no smoking but on our way to our room always smell like weed, parking lots really small and limited, if you driving a suv or truck you will definitely have hard time parking or find a good parking the only nice thing for us was where was located it was near to the walk of fame and universal studios, after staying there I been wondering why all the reviews saying nice things about the place for my experience I won’t be staying there ever again. Also every time we left our room we came back and find out our ac was turn off we had to call the office and they told us how to turn it back on, it was sucks because it was so hot and we had to wait to cool down
- 3/5
The rooms were blah...
- 3/5
It definitely got the job done. Does it look like the pics? Sort of. All in all a good experience. The pool was lovely, which is really all I needed.
- 5/5
not quiet。but still good
- 4/5
Room was basic; which was fine for our stay. It was found in a good clean condition, stocked with the essentials needed. Nice, clean pool, which we sadly did not get to use. Convenient 5 minute walk away from Target and a few spots to grab food.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable!! The staff always greets with a smile and friendly attitude!! I will always stay here. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Very convenient place close to Hollywood and the subway to downtown LA
- 4/5
The only problem was that we hear some steps early in the morning from other guests
- 2/5
I asked if I could have another car parked at the site for 1 or the 2 nights and they said it would be extra $100, so of course nevermind.
- 4/5
Ok
- 3/5
Some room doors including mine had missing weather stripping and the door barely shut completely. A gap between the door and the frame you can see part of the hardware. Not going to hold up if somebody really wanted to get in.
- 3/5
Cons: Room is very basic, property is old, no breakfast as advertised on Expedia. Floor was not clean and mattress under the clean sheets looked gross.
- 4/5
The room was clean including the bathroom and shower. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The location very convenient for our purpose and we felt safe. It was a good value and there were no issues.
- 5/5
The motel was beautiful colours swimming pool. Car park is massive. No chance of not getting a car park.
- 3/5
The check in staff were helpful, and the bed was comfy. Fridge, iron, etc all included with the room too.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful. The room was clean, cozy and for a good price. I was there to visit the Griffith observatory so it worked out perfect. Many shops and restaurants.Pool
- 5/5
Good employee
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom/shower. Even a nice pool for the warmer LA days. Very nice service staff that actually clean your room daily and greet you as you pass by. Super value.
- 5/5
Clean. Free parking. Comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was clean & I felt safe!
- 4/5
I thought we had booked the kind of king room that had a view of the pool. We did not have a view of the Pool. We had a view of the next property. But it was quiet enough. The bed wasn’t great as it had a very squeaky plastic mattress liner on it.
- 1/5
We got two rooms, both weren't clean (pubic hair on the bathtub and the sink), no soap, shampoo was empty, toilet lid was loosened, and they didn't change the bed sheets.
- 2/5
Didn’t not like the location and building itself didn’t look private.
- 5/5
I have to say this place didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and the personnel was great!!! Always greeted with a friendly smile! I will most definitely be back!!
- 3/5
Asha at the front desk was friendly. Its affordable and the parking is free. There is a Target that is walking distance and places to eat nearby. The bed was comfortable. The rooms could use some TLC. For example, upgrade appliances, wall outlets, towel bar holder and grouting. Overall 7 out of 10.
- 3/5
Overall the hoterl was good value for money. I would have been very happy except for the terrible smell from the cleaning solution. It would be an easy fix and significantly enhance the experience. There is nothing worse than taking a backward step when you open the door due to the smell. Some people can be severely affected by smell like that with asthma and migranes.
- 5/5
Always a nice stay, very pleasant and clean rooms plus the staff has always treated us with respect and friendliness
- 2/5
The stuff was rude.
- 5/5
Bathroom tub was clean except there was no bath mat to keep from slipping.
- 2/5
Room was neat but smelled like mildew front desk was very rude and wouldn’t give deposit back to my partner I had to get it myself and refused to give me more towels when asked as well as ac/heat didn’t work well bed also was not clean
- 3/5
Rude staff
- 3/5
The inn was okay overall , the housekeeper kept coming in my room without knocking and there was no handwash when we first checked in on the first day
- 5/5
It was a very nice hotel, the staff is friendly and the pool was very fun.
- 4/5
Very convenient location with free parking. Good price.
- 4/5
xxc
- 5/5
My day was great. Very clean, quiet and friendly.
- 5/5
No issues to report. Had a very pleasant stay with no issues at all.
- 1/5
I also called Expedia that same night and they were even less helpful. They brushed me off and did not care one bit. Seriously disappointed and if I were you I would not book this hotel or with Expedia for that fact.
- 5/5
It was comfortable and clean. The staff are always so nice and respectful. I love staying here. Feels like home away from home.
- 5/5
I liked my stay.
- 5/5
Hotel was close to shopping center Thai Town and down the street from Hollywood walk walking distance 28 mins walk but worth the sights
- 5/5
This was a very nice hotel which has been recently refurbished. The service was great. It is a little noisy, as the walls are thin and it is centrally located, but everything else is very good.
- 4/5
Me gustaría que en los pasillos hubiera alfombra ya que de esa manera las personas al caminar no se escuchara los pasos al caminara
- 2/5
The sounds in the room were way to loud, I can hear every noise from the hotel and the hallway. Maid cleaning, people walking and talking. Unable to sleep after 7 am .
- 2/5
Not good services
- 5/5
The best hotel for this price! Strongly recommended!
- 3/5
Spacious room
- 1/5
Did not feel safe at all. When we were leaving early in the morning saw some weird activity going on.
- 4/5
The area around the motel is a bit sketchy. There's a huge Target a block away, which I walked to; I felt alert if not particularly threatened. You may wish to drive as it has a large parking structure. The only dining option I saw was a taco truck on the corner, but the motel is only a short drive from the brighter parts of West Hollywood. I went to Pinks
- 5/5
Cleanliness
- 5/5
Its nearby shops and sights. Totally convenient😄
- 5/5
I stay here whenever I come to Hollywood for concerts. Its always been clean and quiet. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The location is perfect and almost everything you need is walkable
- 4/5
Clean but old property
- 5/5
Very helpfull staff. Showers were blast. Never had this much high pressure shower in life. It was like a waterfall. Rooms were clean. Will stay again if visiting Universal Studio.
- 4/5
Accomodation is tidy and safe although located in a slightly marginal area. We chose it for the locality to the train station which was great for exploring and getting to/from the accom.
- 5/5
Great location for Universal Studios. Hotel buget friendly but still clean & staff friendly. Highly recommended if you want to save money on hotel costs. Great for getting in late & leaving early. Parking can be a bit difficult as its tight spaces. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Room was clean and bed was very comfy. Near food and shopping which was a plus
- 5/5
The room was clean and well stocked. The staff is amazing always friendly and professional. I love staying at the Hollywood City Inn. Worth the price and highly recommend!!
- 3/5
Good enough to sleep and shower at half the price of a 4-star hotel. The room is a nice size with a fridge and microwave. Not the cleanest (marks on the walls and phone, dust in the corner of the room) and had a strong smell of cleaner like bleach. Did not experience any issues like what others stated in their comments. Customer service was good. Location has free parking, is close to food, and a short drive to the Observatory.
- 5/5
The staff was great and the room were good.
- 5/5
Everything is perfect
- 4/5
Nice staff as always.
- 4/5
Everything was good, maybe more parking for a second guest in a room would be nice but overall it was satisfactory.
- 5/5
This will be my 3er time going back I recommend it
- 5/5
good service will come again
- 5/5
I really liked how close it was to stores and food. The room was clean and liked how convenient and close it was for a night stay.
- 3/5
For a cheap hotel it was decent but the parking was VERY tight. Floor needed mopped better. Left feet dirty.
- 4/5
Old style vibes. Clean.
- 5/5
Great location near Hollywood. The room was nice and clean.
- 3/5
Just so so
- 5/5
Nothing special
- 1/5
Bathroom is dirty
- 3/5
The office staff was amazing!! Very nice gentlemen. However; we couldn’t not sleep well since there was a lot of foot steps going on above us and noises from the outside.
- 5/5
Clean

- 5/5
2 min walk to Metro station. Close to grocery stores and restaurants.
- 4/5
Nutra estancia fue buena, todo lo que necesibamos estaba cerca los Estudios Universales , paseo de la fama, restaurantes tiendas, farmacias la placita olvera como a 15 minutos, el hotel estuvo uy bien , muy comodas las camas
- 5/5
A wonderful little place in the heart of Hollywood. Friendly staff, clean room, and all the amenities (fridge, microwave, hair dryer, safe, iron, etc.). They even serve you breakfast!
- 4/5
Good value accommodation in the area
- 3/5
Location is major, target, metro, food trucks all within a mile.
- 1/5
I left on good terms with the gentleman working the desk and was told I could reach out to their manager to discuss the situation. Several days later, I am informed by a hotels.com agent that the property notated my account with information stating that I was kicked out of the property at 4 AM due to having a party, music, and drug use between the hours of 12 - 4 AM. They either confused me for someone else or blatantly being dishonest. I was not at the property at that time, and was able to provide proof to hotels.com of my drop off and pick up times from this property. I also made a reservation at a different property for that same day via hotels.com. The hotel won’t answer my calls and denied a refund for the reservation I didn’t stay for.
- 4/5
Nice inexpensive hotel. It is older, but clean and staff was really nice. Parking is terrible, but it's like that everywhere in southern California.
- 1/5
From the time I got there...it was sketchy. You have to give a CASH deposit AND show them a CC. Now I have to check my CC to make sure they charge me fraudulently. They have a smart TV that no one KNOWS how to work and the WiFi wasn't hooked up to the TV somehow. I have one at home, and didn't even know this was possible. I hate being on the bottom floor, but supposedly it was all they had left for the room I purchased. Free parking was really the only benefit that wasn't a problem. They don't answer the phone, so good luck getting the front desk without physically walking to the office. The morning front desk was too lazy and rude to open the office, so I had to go to the night counter in the middle of the day.
- 4/5
the wifi did not work at all but other than that everything else was good.
- 1/5
Could not sleep Dew to all the outside noise
- 2/5
The pictures made the hotel look so much better than it was. We were under the impression there would be a continental breakfast but there wasn’t. There were homeless people all over in the area begging for money and a drug deal that happened right across the street. The hotel room was so small that we couldn’t even put our suitcases anywhere without walk on them. There was a grocery store and target within walking distance which was nice. We stayed here due to the proximity of Hollywood Studios which was approximately a 10 min drive but I would rather pay more to stay in a hotel that I felt save in.
- 4/5
The property itself was lovely! You definitely get what you pay for, the fridge is smaller than an average mini fridge & was kinda janky the water pressure is STRONG. The room smelled freshly cleaned when we checked in (which we didn’t mind), so if you have a problem with cleaning product fumes, I’d suggest asking the staff before hand to open the windows. Staff was super sweet and friendly, one of the quickest check-ins as well. The area is a bit on the sketchy side during night, but there’s a bunch of stores & quick bites within a 15 minute walk!
- 5/5
Convenient place to stay
- 5/5
Staff was very nice, rooms were clean, close enough to the strip, etc. I would stay here again!
- 4/5
Close to main attractions in Hollywood. convenient, overall is was good. I'd definitely stay there again, thank you!
- 4/5
Great place to stay will definitely book for my next trip to the area
- 1/5
We had the worst experience here. The beds were hard and horrible to sleep on. The shower had bugs in it and the toilet was disgusting and rusty. We booked for 2 night and 3 days but had to leave early due to a family emergency and only slept there one night and when we asked for a partial refund the manager wouldn’t give us one. We will never be coming back to this hotel and will be telling everyone about our horrible experience. Would leave 0 stars if I could.
- 3/5
The roof in our room was leaking water and the property manager refused to compensate us
- 5/5
MUY BUENAS RECOMENDACIONES PARA ESTÁ PROPIEDAD!!!
- 5/5
A no frills hotel that fit perfectly with our plans!
- 3/5
Perfect for a few hours of sleep!
- 5/5
Everything was great the tv could off been Alittle bigger but other than that I was a good experience.
- 5/5
Reasonable price....Clean
