Hollywood Beach Marriott

It couldn't be better, a great place and quite, with access to Hollywood Boardwalk but not too noisy or crowded. If you want, just walk 3 minutes toward the center. Perfect!

Hotel was older but very clean. Staff was incredibly nice. It’s right on the ocean. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Buffet breakfast was delicious.

Clean, easy access, near everything, great location and staff. It’s just too bad there’s no shuttle to the airport but I wouldn’t say this is something I didn’t like about the property, I’d simply suggest they arrange that kind of transport.

The hotel restaurant and connected outside seating area is really good. The food is reasonably priced for a hotel. Our interactions with the hotel, staff of always been pleasant. The $20 a day hotel fee is a little tacky and the idea that you’re going to get afternoon snack snacks and drinks when they’re located at the very busy hotel front desk is just annoying, but taking into context I guess it’s no big deal The hotel parking is really reasonably priced for this area where a beach parking is in short supply. Overall, a very enjoyable place to stay

Food was not worth the price. And bar drinks were to high for all ice. Some sort of music would have been nice but was nice that the cheep motel next door did have a band.

Latitudes restaurant attached to hotel was excellent for food, drinks were alright. The room and hotel were were clean, staff was cleaning all day long to ensure everything stayed clean. Location was PERFECT!!! Staff was amazing with the exception of one front desk woman, who was very rude and impatient with the elderly and the younger kids.

A fine place overall…I’m a tough grader. Just a little dated and lacking if you’re wanting a posh type of resort. Snacks and bottled water was a nice touch, compared to how they would gouge you at a nice place in South Beach. Bar staff at the beach bar struggled regularly! Pool kind of meh but I guess did the job. The coolest part is the location right on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk for walkable access and people watching. Surrounding scene is fun if you want old school Florida - NOT like the ritzy parts of Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale. Rooms are pretty small. Bathtub shower was underwhelming. But again, a decent place that gives you what you need.

Food quality was goog most ofvthe time. But service staff morning hostess for brackfast vary rude. The small restaurant that you have never was used beacuse nobady can eat in aeace so cold . the AIr conditionershoud be broken and they didnt care. For this issues all the guest have to wait for outside cafeteria andvtjay dodlnt have enough tables. We were family of 7 and always was an issues trying to get a placee to eat. Theybonly have 2 big tables?. It says in the contract that yoy can get free mon alcoholic fruit small juices pina colada or trawberry and hey didt want to give us for my kids we had to call the manager. Very bad experience. No enough light in the outside cafeteria light bulbs broquen. I do notvrecommene tbis place at all. All money spended to have agreat family time was so bad at this place. Never again!!

I loved the fact that it was right on the beach and boardwalk There really wasn’t anything in particular that I didn’t like. It would be nice to had a little bit more seating in the lobby, but other than that, the food was good. Location was good.

We realized on day 2 it was coming from the drain in shower. We were disappointed with the up keep of the room for a Marriot. We expected more. The balcony was small and needs cleaning!!! The location was good and breakfast served at restaurant was good. Just expected the property to be a little more maintained as it is a Marriot.

I didn’t think I was going to like this property as much as did, but for one reason or another we always come back to this hotel. It’s a bit ragged but the beds are comfortable, you get good water pressure, it’s very clean, the promenade lends itself to long walks by the beach… but what I think really makes us want to go back here time and time again are the employees. Everyone is so nice - they each go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and help you sort out needs during your stay. Natasha, Devon, Alexis- all the people at the front desk, they are awesome and the reason why we always return. The food is just not good. Overpriced, and bad quality food. And the personnel at the restaurant is a bit all over the place.

Amenities are the only thing nice about this hotel. The staff was a mixed bag. Some where nice others were borderline disrespectful. I should of been refunded my first night from the cockroach i found in my bathroom and they moved me to a much better room with no issues. I had no hot water for a day and they didnt give me any wristbands when i checked in. I didnt let this ruin my trip and i wouldbt of wrote a bad review if they had refunded my money for my first night that i had to move out of at 2 in the morning from a bug problem.

My only complaint was that the balcony was unusable for most of the day due to being in full sunlight for most of the day. Maybe this would be nice in winter, but it was entirely too hot to sit out there. If you are going to get a partial OV balcony, request one on the north side of the building to avoid the full sun all day!

Very nice area far from the crazy part of Hollywood Blvd. The hotel is very well equipped a comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. I did not like the fact that the umbrellas by the beach are expensive and at 5pm when the sun is still strong, they company will pick them up.

Views were excellent! Only complaint is having a late check out and having room service knocking on your door displaying the do not disturb sign, to check the time you are leaving.

I like my room, 304 much better than the last two times, I think were 426. Not exactly sure of the number but the view looked down on a rooftop of a building that might have contained the air conditioner compressors. Not pretty. I would, however, like to acknowledge your front desk manager Devon. She is the epitome of Marriott customer service. Please tell her I said so. And take care of her, she is one of your best assets. All your personnel were excellent and hospitable. I will be returning the first week in October when I introduce two of my daughters to your facility and the surrounding area. I am sure they will love it. Nothing. I just wish you could make the area behind the bar much cooler for your workers. Unfortunately, they sweat back there and that's not good. It needs immediate attention. And why are the fans above, in the ceiling over the bar, not working? Please fix them, too. I have been in upper management all my life. Please take care of your personnel, they are your backbone. This is not rocket science.

The entire staff was very friendly. Starting with Sharron at the front desk who checked us in. She was very welcoming. The Tiki bar was right outside the hotel. They offered drinks all day and good breakfast and lunch options to enjoy by the pool. They keep the pool clean as well as the deck. I watched them work hard to clean the pool and deck at night.

AC was sooooo loud in our room & so old we had to switch rooms. It did cool good but was so LOUD our first night we couldn’t sleep. The staff was great to help us move rooms. The pool & boardwalk are DELIGHTFUL complimentary towels, smoothies, welcome champagne & snacks & the BIKES were great

Love that area especially the beach

I went in and was told that my expedia reservation wasn't accepted to then later find out it was. I had to recieve a refund, however, the room itself was very nice and clean. The overall hotel was also very nice however, in order to get to the pool you need to either go around the hotel or go through the resturant which I didn't appreciate either.

The property’s very clean and have direct access to the beach. We were debating on renting a car but uber is the way to go. Broadwalk is very walkable to get to the hustle and bustle but it’s nice to be at the quiet end of the broadwalk. Definetly recommend. The staff is very friendly and courteous!

Resort fee includes 2 beach chairs per room - but not an umbrella, so you do have to pay for that if you want it. Slushies by the pool were nice and refreshing and having towels for beach was a great perk.

We traveled with our 3 sons and it’s a great beach front, family friendly location. Onsite restaurant is wonderful. Walkability to other dining and shopping was perfect. We would definately stay again.

Room was small and we did have the partial view of the ocean but the other side of the view was the parking garage. Pool was very small.

The staff made the difference. They provided an excellent service. The views from our rooms were amazing, especially for the 4 of July fireworks. We loved our stay.

Hotel and staff were all so very nice and helpful. Only issue I had was the noisy AC unit in my room. They did try to fix it almost immediately after I told them about it.

It would have been a wonderful experience if it hadn’t been for the obnoxious hostess who seated us at the restaurant. She was as sour as a lemon! She showed us to a two seater table that had a limited view. I asked for another table and she grunted and wasn’t pleasant.

Smoothie by the pool was a hit by the kiddos. Love that the area is walkable to other dining and shopping area by the boardwalk. Latitude dining service was so-so.

My sons and I were in Miami for the Madrid vs AI Hilal game. We lived this spot as it was relaxing and conveniently located near the beach. We enjoyed the outdoor dining, live music nearby and I especially enjoyed early morning walks along the boardwalk. ( As well as the friendly conversations with the barista in the hotel's cafe) We all enjoyed our stay!

My experience at the Hollywood Beach Marriott nearly ruined my entire trip to Miami. From the first day, I woke up with bites on my skin, and as the days went by, it got worse and became extremely itchy all over my body. I had to check out early and spent nearly two days out of my 7-day vacation cleaning and disinfecting my belongings, which included a visit to the ER for treatment. I am truly disappointed by this location; it did not match the pictures I saw online at all.

The room had an AC that was waking us up every time it turned back on, it was horrible, we could not sleep at all. if we could get our money back we should. not great at all. The pool was cloudy.

Hotel staff very friendly helpful and welcoming! Loved the complimentary smoothie at the pool. Access to The beach and boardwalk right there were both great amenities

It’s an old property that needs updating

The have additional charges for “happy hour” and they don’t disclose it so you don’t really benefit. You hear of this at check out. They collect the fee but they don’t advise you that they are offering refreshments for the guests in the lobby in the evenings.

Only issue was a power surge that caused a power outage for about 24hours. I hope we will be compensated for the big inconvenience.

It has been much improved since we came for our honeymoon 26 years ago (it was a HoJo then!!) but still so laid back and a wonderful atmosphere!

The staff treated people differently depending on what color you were.

Cons Elevator had my wife concerned with all the noises it makes as you go up and down. We just avoided the one that sounded odd. Heavy smell of Marijuana multiple times out of our balcony, not a huge issue, but it did make it hard to sit out there when it would happen. Housekeeping was rude to us and did not change out the sheets as we had asked, instead, she made the bed with the dirty sheets and slammed the door when she left the room.

There were additional expenses that wasn’t included or expressed until you arrive at the hotel. A fee of 35$ daily for parking and 20$ daily for hotel resort fee.

Truly the best hotel. While at the pool you have a wonderful view of the boardwalk and beach. Walkable to all spots on the boardwalk. The afternoon champagne and snacks are a nice touch, plus the free smoothies at the pool are so refreshing.

The Mother's Day dining buffet was set off to a side area and it was an excellent space. And experience.

Was very disappointed with this stay, the average price for the nights we stayed was around $410. The room was a good size as was the bathroom and nicely decorated but the level of cleaning was very average if not below average. There was a piece of paper and a Biro on the floor for the duration of the seven days I stayed there showing that the floor hadn’t been swept let alone washed. The buffet breakfast is somewhat bizarre, the selection is fine, but for the cost of the room, I would expect more. It’s very much like a motel vibe. It’s also a fair walk from your table to the buffet which is just odd. Staff on the whole were fine, there was one lady in particular at reception who we didn’t get her name but was super helpful. Others were less helpful, we needed to post a letter within the US but when we asked for assistance from reception, they looked at us as if we had asked to send a rocket to the moon. They were most unhelpful, but we dragged i formation out of them where the nearest post office would be, and while correct, involved an Uber 10-15 minute drive away to buy 1 stamp and an envelope, we then passed a shop not 3 mins walk away who sold us a $.75 stamp and gave us the envelope for free!! The tipping system in the US is what it is, but when you’re staying in a hotel and breakfast is part of your package, to be presented with a bill for a tip when they have literally bought a pit of coffee is not on. All in all not worth the money staff unhelpful, cleaning shoddy

The bar staff could have been a more attentive and the view we had on the 3rd floor was not pleasant, as we were above the roof of the conference area, bit overall, great trip and accommodations.

The staff is very disrespectful and rude!!! We couldn’t enjoy our stay, we will never return to this Hotel again 😔 We lost our Money

I think people at front desk could be a little bit more kind. The rest was all good, it is not my first time staying there.
