    Upon checking in, we asked if they offer complimentary bottle water in the room (because if they don’t we were going to get some for our guests visiting us from out of the state). Front desk staff responded “do you go to gas station and asked for free bottle of water?”. It was totally rude and unnecessary because plenty of hotels offer free bottles of water and we were unsure so we asked before we go to our room. He could just said they don’t offer free bottle water but there is water fountain and cups for water (we found the fountain near front counter after taking to this rude staff. Bad way of handling such a simple situation with such attitude. After entering our room, shower is not clean and moldy around the seal. There were sandy small particles on the bed sheets but we brought our own travel set to put between sheets and comforter so we were ok. Last complaint was about the window curtain can’t close completely (it’s sheer and I was awaken from the light around 6am.

    When booking my two rooms I was looking for a pool to entertain three children to my surprise and having to pay an additional $300 for a deposit on top of the $900 I paid for two days was crazy to find out there was no pool for the money I sent I could have went to somewhere a lot nicer. The rooms also stated they where King suites they were not just regular hotel rooms that they are overcharging for. Very disappointed in this stay

    Close to the highway. Sunday morning I woke up and there was no power. Woman at the service desk didn’t know what happened. Food in refrigerator was full of water. No hot breakfast. Terrible.

    We liked the breakfast and the location. It was close to the family. The king bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We asked for more toilet paper and not only did we get more TP, but our bed was made. We will probably stay again. Pedro was so helpful when we had trouble opening the door with the key card. He had "magic fingers." He was also very friendly too. The bed and pillows didn't fit in my suitcase. I was going to ask if I can take one for my lower back in the car, but decided against it.

    Check in was seamless due to Pedro's kind help. There was a glitch on my end from doing something wrong when booking on line but he' sweetly corrected it. Pedro always acknowledged us in our coming and going with a kind word, he definitely made our stay a comfortable one. The overall experience the hotel was good for cleanliness, comfortable beds and a simple hot breakfast in the morning. We definitely will stay there again in the future when we need to come back to the area of the family events.

    The guy in the counter gave me hard time at 2am in the morning for my service dogs and tried to cancel my reservation. When i said i am going to call cop then he got afraid and let me in. Property condition is just below average . Nothing special but there are many better options with the same price in that area.

    The night clerk that welcomed me was kind and easy to talk to. The room was very clean. Overall, it was quiet. The hotel was located in an area that felt safe. Nothing major was bad about the stay. Just some of the things were out at breakfast, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. There were plenty of other things to eat.

    Nothing since we were rudely kicked out I drove 4 hours to reach this hotel, which I had booked days in advance, only to be told that my pets weren’t allowed because they were 10 pounds over the weight limit. This was after I had called ahead, clarified my pets’ weight, and booked ONLY after receiving confirmation from the staff. When I arrived, the staff was rude and unprofessional. The man who introduced himself as the owner/manager had a terrible attitude—he kept interrupting me, insisting that I had booked through Expedia (which I absolutely did NOT), and repeatedly pointed to the pet restriction sign, as if I hadn’t already confirmed the policy in advance. Despite the fact that they gave me misinformation, he refused to honor the booking or issue a refund. Instead, he made us leave after a 4-hour drive with no support or alternatives. This was horrible customer service from start to finish. * The staff was rude. * The manager was dismissive and unhelpful. * They refused to take accountability for their own mistake. Do NOT book here. Do NOT stay here. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

    The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carpet and doors are just worn out and could use a refresh. The room was clean, but there was stuff on the carpet walking to the room. The first room we were given had an issue. The outlet all the lights were plugged into didn't work. We had to switch rooms. There was a full roll of toilet paper in the parking lot on the ground. It felt muggy in the room. Breakfast was yummy and tables were clean, the a/c blew cold, and the hotel was convenient for the events I was attending.

    Breakfast would have been acceptable, I’d the juice machine would have been working, mold on the bread and the hot food hadn’t been empty by 8 am. Also, read the fine print- you must have a cc with the name of the person renting the room- the cc you make the reservation with is not acceptable. This of course was a huge surprise and a source of extreme contention with staff. I secured the room with my husband’s cc and presented it at check in. He was standing with me while Checking in but still they refused the cc and lectured me at length about reading their contract. All in all a very, very unpleasant stay.

    Some of the staff are friendly and accommodating some are so so. Breakfast is nice to have in the morning tho it’s the same thing every day. The air conditioning is my big problem here it’s not that strong and doesn’t circulate around the whole room but only where it’s place.

    I was charged an additional $25/night for my 17 year old son. The hotel has a unique policy of 12 & under is free and any children over 12 is $25/person/night. My booking was through hotels.com and I disclosed the age of my son at the time of booking. Hotels.com tried their best and told me that they will reimburse this additional charge. On the second day of my stay (checkout day) I came down and picked up breakfast for my wife at 9:40am as the breakfast closes at 10am. They told me that breakfast must me eaten at the breakfast area and can’t be taken to the room. Such an awful experience in terms of their service and policies they are calling it. The hotel management are just transactional and have no business & customer service sense. I’m a very practical & very accommodative personality. Please don’t take your family to this place.

    I was traveling for work in Chicago for a couple days and I saw this one for a really good price. I wasn’t expecting much but it was a really nice place to stay especially the breakfast! After being around Chicago and staying in other hotels, this one was very reliable. The location was really good too, there’s no Kwik Trips anywhere but the gas station across from it is excellent accompanied by food places you can walk to. Sometimes it was a 50 minute drive back but it was worth it! The staff, food and comfort were great. I never leave reviews but this one earned it.

    Be aware, each room price is for 2 adults even if it’s a room with 2 queen beds. They charge $25 for anyone over the age of 12 in the room over 2 adults. Also, the hotel needs a lot of update. It seems very dreary.

    Clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but good location, quiet and safe. Breakfast is included and starts at 7:00. Unfortunately, they are strict with this and when we came at 6:30 for breakfast so we could get on the road, the man clearly stated that we could not get anything before 7. Luckily, Starbucks is around the corner.

    Manager and staff were very rude. Manager told me directly I could not take breakfast to my room. Why have fridge/microwaves in the room if it is "not allowed"? Manager's favorite quotes were "..take it up with corporate" or "take it up with Expedia". We found out, after the first day, that they say they only cleaned rooms once every three days. We needed clean towels after the first, because there were only two to begin with. However, the room never got cleaned, even though we reminded them on our way out that morning going to meet family. Time to cancel my Choice card.

    Hotel was awful! Front desk girl at check in was rude! I was there with my two teenage daughters for one night and was told I had to pay an extra $25 for a third person?! For a regular hotel with two double beds? An outdated, unclean bed at that! There is nothing on the expedite site or the website about $25 extra if more than two people. Not to mention, we got into our room and there was trash in the trash can when we got in there. Not just one little things but big soda cups and tissues and things.

    Soundproof rooms; false. Heavy-footed upstairs all night long, floor squeaked until 2 am. Pet-friendly; false. There is only one trashcan outside in the front of the building. They do not recognize legally protected Service Animals. They don't offer room service the first day - but heaven forbid you have a Service Animal - they tell you to leave the room with your dog for room service whether you need it or not... They won't let you stay in the room while they clean it. Friendly staff; false. Rude, rude, rude. Attitude from the l start... Look. If you need a hotel, pet-friendly, no hassle - stay across the street at Red Roof Inn Plus... It's not as roomy, but what difference does it make if you have to call the police to keep the racist front desk from harassing you... Just to double book at Red Roof to get some peace and quiet anyway. Shocker, this is a sanctuary city... With only a handful of cars in the parking lot, the hotel is all lit up at night after the duty van returns. Do not give these foreigners your hard earned money. Go Red Roof... Even the officer agreed!

    The room that was given to us 119 was across the front desk. And we can hear the ringing if the calls and the people commig in ad out and then the only elevator was next to the room and could hear the elevator constantly moving up and down and people getting in and out. It was so noisy. We asked to be moved, But only if we paid 95 dollars on top of the 130 we paid. We left 20 min after we checked in. Make sure you opt for refunded option at this place.

    During our second night stay, the power went out due to an issue with a transformer. Of course, this was no fault of the hotel management, but their lack of communication with hotel guests was disappointing. No effort was made to keep guest informed of what was happening. At the very least, the manager could have explained the situation and been more proactive with guests about when they could return to their rooms.

    Check in was awful. Took thirty minutes. Three people working and were very rude and difficult to understand. At one point I was told I needed my husband to come check in. He was in the car with the kids. Finally convinced them I made the reservation and paid with my card. Breakfast was disgusting, with undercooked eggs and sausage. Very inconvenient set up with flow of people. And nothing was wiped up or replaced in a timely matter.

    1. Check In: Our trip was entirely paid for through Expedia. We booked 2 nights for 2 Adults and 1 child (14 years old as noted in the Expedia drop down menu). Upon arriving to the hotel we were informed that it would be an extra $25 due to our child’s age. We asked why and were informed that “this is our policy and it covers food cost”. From our understanding the continental breakfast was included in the room charge and our 14 year old child is not eating $25 worth of breakfast. 2. Customer Service: Have never felt so uncomfortable during an out of town stay a. Because we are from out of town for a sports event; we had a visitor come from another hotel. When the visitor walked in they were immediately harassed and asked what room they were going to. They were also followed. The front desk person found me and stated that if our visitor is there for more than 30 minutes we would get charged. I asked why if they were just visiting and they stated “this is our policy”. b. Because we are from out of town we had a family member (80 years old) visit at the hotel who brought pizzas. (Total for family there were 3 rooms booked).     This hotel has billed me for a broken tv base that I never touch. They will not call me back to explain or send me pictures videos or receipt for the $250.00 .they took from my account. This is being done to me because my daughter wrote a bad review. Hallway smell of weed bathroom smell of piss. Comfort Inn Hoffman Estate. If needed I will be getting a lawyer

    When we got there the man at the front desk wasn’t very welcoming. He was training someone and I get that he could have been under stress but to talk to an employee that way in front of guests is embarrassing. Not for me and my partner but for the person training. But throughout the night at the shift change there was a new man at the front desk. He was very kind and helpful.

    Check in was easy, lady was nice. Keycard didnt work the first time. People questioned me alot as if it was a shady hotel. Lots of people hanging out outside. Not very private and clean hotel. If you want a quick cheap place to stay, this would be it. Not somewhere I would bring the whole family to though.

    It was a special trip for me and my wife. Hotel is average not special and room service on demand basis but not mentioned at the time of check-in. Bathroom shower door does not close properly. Lift also not working properly sometime.

    I booked this hotel through Expedia and made the payment at the time of booking. However, at the time of checking in, hotel staff asked for additional charge for my child who I already paid for. Even after explaining the full payment for same count of guests, he made me wait in the lobby as he was checking with his manager. Although he finally let us check in without additional charge. I found this causing displeasure and stress after a long day drive.

    only and hour later I went to the desk to request ONE extra towel. my room only had two and was in need of and extra one. AFTER getting the third degree about how many people were in my room. I explain twice why that I needed two towels for myself... being one for my hair one for my body. and one for my son. I was given an extra towel. This was SAI whom was being to rude about one towel ONE TOWEL!!! In the room there is a motion sensor it goes off with any movement. I WAS WOKEN UP THREE!! from just my son moving the bed. the third time it work me up was 2:45am. so I just packed up my stuff and left. Never even got to get to use one of my amenities I paid for, meaning breakfast. I ASLO feel bad for whom ever gets stuck with room 138. For it is next to an entrance. When this door closes it slams with the LOUDEST SOUND. which i am sure would wake up anyone in the middle of the night.

    They charged me $25 extra for my son who is a child (age 15) because it was supposedly on their hotel policy, which I read their policy and it never states a age range for what children are free or how much they’d be. They also charged me a deposit fee of $100 that was not stated on Expedia as compared to other hotels that I looked through the website on the same day of booking the room for 2 adults and a child. My room was a two bedroom for up to 4 people and they charged me more when there shouldn’t be a difference in payment for another person. The staff that checked me in was also providing terrible customer service and was ridiculously rude for a simple question that was asked because he caused a confusion when stating things related to my payment on Expedia as “ oh they only care about the money that they charge and if you want to claim your money spent ask them.” but knowing as well Expedia tells you what is required offers given for a booking for customer satisfaction in savings. I was absolutely shocked and disappointed with this hotel. I spoke the following morning when I checked out to a different staff person and they were trying to provided proof of their policy for the deposit and extra charge for my child and they themselves weren’t able to give me any proof of so said & stated that the manager would call me for my refund and have not received my refund for the extra charges.

    Room was very clean, comfortable, and updated. Property was quiet. Good breakfast. Staff was readily available for any questions or problems. Only problem I had was shower doors were not installed properly and would not stay closed. Will definitely stay there again when in town.
