The staff was extremely helpful in a couple of areas

The location was close to restaurants and shopping and was located along the Hudson River. A great place to go for a walk and enjoy the views of NYC. This was a return visit and we will be back.

Pretty location with view of NYC, walking/bike path right in front of hotel and had excellent dinner at Halifax Horrible noise issues due to layout of floor. Unless you pay for full view room you will be placed in front of service elevator which operates all night with employees coming and going. Was woken up numerous times during night and hotel management just makes excuses instead of resolving noise issues.

The views, the location in the staff were wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The cost is high, the door wall was nearly impossible to open to get on the balcony, definitely had to call STAFF and let them know to fix that before anybody else came. The handle was literally falling off the door

The hotel is beautiful but my room had no view and it was so small that we tried to spend more time out of the room than inside. For the price it’s not worth it. I will return but pay way more attention on what room they assigned. The entertainment that night was canceled without noticed.

The W Hoboken is the perfect home right outside of home, if you're looking to book an amazing staycation and live in or around NY, NJ or CT. The room was pristine and a pleasant surprise compared to the photos on the website. The terrace, stylish and functional furniture, the Manhattan skyline view in the bedroom, the bathtub and shower in the bathroom, refrigerator and closet space were all prime features of my room. The bars and waterfront restaurants are a plus, but the on-site Spa was an even greater addition to my stay. It was an amazing stay and I will be back soon!

The staff was excellent, the room was awesome with a beautiful view. I loved the gym and all of the restaurants in the hotel. I can't think of even one criticism it was all great.

I found the sparce decor a disadvantage to the traveler. Clothing storage was abysmal, no slip resistance mat in shower (floor tile was high polish and dangerous) and when n we got in the room one TV remote was missing and one phone was not working. For the price of the room this was very disappointing.

I had an issue with my card when I first checked in and the manager was very helpful with getting me checked in. I also loved that I was able to get a complimentary late check-out for 1 PM. The hotel itself is just beautiful with the best view. I have no complaints about the W Hotel. I will be back again.

GREAT River front views of NYC across the Hudson River. (Don’t forget to take your photo at the Sinatra statue with mid-town Manhattan skyline in the background.) Hoboken has a hip environment. Location is 3 blocks brim PATH train into NYC which is super convenient. Room was spacious (4th floor), clean and comfortable. Staff were terrific! Water pressure was ok (not super).

Our 1 bedroom suite was immaculate !! The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband let them know it was my 50th birthday and when we got into our room there was a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The strawberries were delicious and the bed was so comfortable. We loved the view of the city at night !!! In the morning everything was covered in a beautiful white blanket of snow. We had a wonderful overnight stay.

Hotel was nice, great location… room was considered a “cozy” room… a strange little thing… they have a master switch at the door that controls all the lights and you have to go through and manually shut out the lights so they don’t all come on when you hit the master… staff was super nice, friendly and welcoming… valet is cheaper than parking in the city and you only have to pay once. Was able to check in early and they held our bags until room was ready.

Checked in at 4pm room wasn’t ready, finally get to the room and it wasn’t clean properly. Soap from previous guest was still in the shower, toothpaste residue was left in the sink, hair on pillow and wash cloth.

There was no information that I could find in the room noting how to use the TV for example and the room on entry was very cold as the window was left open (I visited in mid November so it was cold). Not an issue per se but the duvet had no cover and instead was sandwiched between 2 sheets which didn't create a lux feel to the bed however, the bed itself was the mot comfortable i've expereinced in a hotel. An average hotel in my opinion but the bar staff in the new bar were amazing.

The property location could not be beat. I would return for drinks at the hotel bar! The rooms and hallways are super dated and do not reflect the price per night. The lobby and drinks were fabulous and make up for the lack of modernization of the rooms. The stair well is also super, super awful.

The hotel appears to be going through major renovations. Plastic wraps and fresh paints in hallways, room is old and falling apart while smelling like epoxy paint. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in period, at any price point, not that this one is cheap by any means.

The entire building and facility was out of commission from having AC. We paid over $550 for one night and had a terrible night of sleep, having to take a cold shower every 15 minutes just to keep up and stay comfortable. The hotel owes us a complimentary night to make up for this terrible experience!

Those whose names I was able to catch were Michael and Victor, but the woman who checked us in and out was also very lovely. I also love that this hotel is so close to everything, allows for a wonderful water view, and treats everyone so kindly. As this was just a girl’s weekend gathering, we don’t often stay at hotels with this kind of pricing but decided to splurge as we have been through a lot over the last few months. We were so glad we did. From their spa to dinner and drinks nearby at The Lola to an amazing sleep to brunch at Dear Maud, we got what we needed as working moms: time to regroup, rejuvenate, reconnect, and relax.

The lobby was being renovated, not mentioned when i booked. I wanted my guest to see the lobby and hang out to "people watch" but the entire lobby was closed. And it was not labeled how to even find the way in. Disappointed... I always sray there when visiting my son, but this stay was definitely not great..

This place is very good. I had a nice view of the city and it was very quiet. They have a nice restaurant downstairs and room service was excellent. If they make a few changes, restaurant will be great. For example, the office chair in the room was scratched. If they get rid of a few things in the room, hotel would be great. I will stay their again

I love the cityline view and the customer service at the Halifax was truly amazing. I wish the website would inform hotel guests that the hotel lobby is currently under construction, which kept us confined to the room-a heads up would have been courteous. We woke up to jackhammering and lots of noise during our vacation, where we were hoping for peace and quiet. Everything else was great!

This property is currently UNDER CONSTRUCTION which isn't advertised. The rooms are very outdated and are in need of some major renovations. The cost is quite high for a room that looks from late 90s early 2000s. The area is great and pleasant. I would not recommend this place to anyone right now.

It was a nice stay room was large. Weird that there was only a mini fridge with items to buy and not store your own drinks but other than that it was a nice stay. Only down side was the lobby was under construction but there was no noise and the staff were very contentious to make sure that you were able to walk around safely. And Vallet was not only worth it the staff were fabulous

The Hotel was amazing.

Very unhappy. I tried to reschedule my trip because it was my husband and I’s 10 year anniversary trip and our 3 children under 6 are sick, so we can no longer leave them. I would hope that establishments would have some compassion for parents and understanding that kids get sick very often. I was not trying to beg a refund, just merely reschedule for a few weeks from now. Our trip was ruined because now we cannot afford to book another room and actually celebrate our anniversary.

Stayed here to visit NYC. It’s conveniently located to everything including the PATH train that we used daily. The views are the best part as we could see Lower Manhattan all the way up to the West Village. Very clean and just a great experience.

The front desk and valet staff were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel felt dated. The living room bar was dreary. There were few patrons in this once bustling bar. The one bartender seemed inexperienced and was very slow. Not the lively experience I had visiting this establishment in the past.

Our room had a beautiful view of the New York City skyline. Clean room. The staff quickly replaced our fridge when it wasn’t working.

Parking may be difficult.

First, a big thank you to Michelle, the Guest Experience Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. From her follow-up at the very start to arranging thoughtful birthday surprises in the room—chocolate-covered strawberries, wine, and a birthday balloon—it was such a sweet and personal touch that made my girlfriend’s day so special! The staff at reception were equally incredible. Dante was extremely helpful in upgrading us to the 1 King Bed, New York City Skyline View, River View, Corner Room suite, and let me tell you, the suite was absolutely stunning! The balcony offered one of the best views I’ve ever seen, and the room itself was gorgeous—elegant, spacious, and with the most comfortable bed ever (we even slept in!). The hotel’s overall atmosphere was stunning, with a modern and luxurious vibe. The valet staff were so personable and kind, making every interaction pleasant and easy. Dining at Halifax was the icing on the cake. The food was beyond amazing—seriously, OMG-worthy! Alexander, our waiter, was so attentive and made the dining experience extra memorable. Every staff member we encountered at Halifax was kind and professional. Daphne at reception was also very helpful during checkout!

It's a good location with a great view of Manhattan. Easy to access and convenient location to visit New Jersey as well as New York Manhattan.

The bed and pills were very comfortable, but the room furniture was a bit outdated and chipped. The rugs in the hallway also had stains on them. For the price you pay for this hotel, it’s due for an update.

Terrible stay at this property! Rooms face an office building so anyone from the office can see inside the rooms. The bathroom sink bubbles up some disgusting black stuff that makes it sink. The shampoo bottles pump didn't even work. Any room service items shown in the menu were not available and they offered me "cheese" when I asked for platter options. Honestly, regret staying here other than the location.

I always thought the W was a prestigious hotel chain until I stayed here. Their rooms are stuck in what feels like the early 2000s. It feels like they haven't been cleaned /renovated since then as well. Both times we stayed there were stains in the carpet, disgusting splash marks on the base of the bed, and the desk chair was destroyed. Maybe it's just me, but when you stay at a nice hotel you expect it to AT LEAST be as clean as your own home. The restaurant downstairs is subpar at best unless you only want a drink. They gave a bar in the lobby that's literally never open just taking up space. Luckily there are plenty of restaurants nearby. SAFE TO SAY WE WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE MOVING FORWARD! Unfortunately, if they don't invest more into this hotel I can see it closing or being bought out by someone who sees it's potential in the near future.

Amazing location with beautiful view of river Hudson and Manhattan.

Extremely poor condition of the room. Dirty carpet inside room and outside in corridor. Such a bad smell that you think as if you are living free or after paying hundreds of dollars. Avoid please.

Great location. However I was charged for an item from the minibar that I did not use.

Location was excellent for the July 4th fireworks on the Hudson. The room was neat well stocked mini bar and toiletries.

W Hoboken a nice break from NYC

The hotel is in a great location. Walkable to the train station and plenty of dining options. We booked a jr suite and were extremely disappointed in the quality of the hotel room for the price. The room was super dingy and did not feel like the W hotels we have stayed at in other locations. The furniture was pretty beat up and the headboard was stained with who knows what. The room we got had a great view but that was the only positive about it. I will say the staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. However i would not book here again and would not recommend it.

room was a bit dirty, and furniture had visible wear & tear - the main issue I had was the room temperature, the AC did not blow properly. With a 90 degree heat wave - not having sufficient AC is disappointing.

The hotel is going through some renovations, so some of the rooms are not so clean. The staff is very nice, but when the hotel is going under renovations, it’s impossible to keep everything clean. The couch in our room was disgusting but the bed and the linens were very nice

Wonderful Hotel!!

My room was spacious and clean, The view of Manhattan from my window was breathtaking. I highly recommend W Hotel to anyone looking for luxurious accommodation, excellent service in prime location. I look forward to returning on my next trip.

The Internet connection for the TV was crap. It was basically unwatchable Monday night or Tuesday morning. If I were staying for more than 3 days and planned on spending any time in the room, I would have changed hotels!

We tried to check in two different times, one time being well after the check in time. The front desk told us they still didn’t have our room ready. They didn’t try to accommodate us until I spoke up and asked for any available room.

Nice, quiet, clean room

First of all, this hotel smells amazing. I know that is a weird thing to write but it has a subtle lovely clean smell. The staff was friendly and got us an early check in. The hotel bar/restaurant was very loud. The room and view were great once we figured out the master light switch! Didn’t use the room service but it was a great option. Tons of places to go within walking distance.
