This place was a motel that they made over.It was terrible.The amenities were terrible, and the staff was terrible.And we had to check in late

The only thing they should have is microwave and coffee maker in the bedroom.

Leslie was the front desk employee when I called to check in early and she was fabulous. She had such a great personality and got us checked in early so we could enjoy our time. We happened to come stay as they were replacing all of the mattresses at Spark. The beds were already so comfortable but the new mattresses are even better. We stayed here twice and will continue to come back. It’s close to Coligny Beach and shops and the breakfast is simple yet filling. We have had zero complaints each time we stayed. Everyone is super friendly and eager to assist.

Clean room and new beds. But my daughter found an in identified pill. 10 dollar parking charge that was not advertised. Would not stay here again.

Everything was clean and well maintained. They were putting in all new mattresses in the rooms when we left.

Not really much a view, just a fence separating us from another hotel. For a budget hotel, it's fine, but don't expect the Ritz!

The staff at this hotel was incredibly rude. Nine of us friends had booked the same room and were all chatting in the hotel lobby on our first night. The receptionist, however, insisted that she needed the lobby back and kept closing her ears, claiming there was too much noise. To make matters worse, there was no waffle or pancake option for breakfast. On the second day, even the flatbreads were unavailable, and we had to buy our own and toast them ourselves. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had a 3x3 refig in home. Barely kept anything cold even after turning up dial. Hotel did have a washer and dryer which was very nice. Parking was very limited. Hotel is pet friendly so be ready for baking dogs when owners go out to dinner.

Simple no frills hotel. Spotlessly clean. Staff ...couldnt ask for better. Only amenity is a nice pool. Would not hesitate th recommend this to anyone seeking a nice quiet hotel at an affordable price point.

We found the hotel was clean and well maintained but a little dated. Breakfast was not that great so we stopped and got breakfast on the road. It is a great value. A great place to stay and close to the beach and also close to bike rentals.

The room was perfectly clean and the grounds were very well maintained. Staff was not super friendly and almost annoyed when asked for help. Breakfast was disgraceful. Bread, hard boiled eggs and a yogurt machine that was empty. Staff was annoyed when asked if they could get more cream cheese. Water machine broke and coffee tasted like soap. Plan to get breakfast outside of the hotel. Parking was easy. Parking lot road could use some maintenance and additional lighting for night.

I believe this is a new brand for Hilton and I understand where they’re going with it. However, it did not quite make the Mark. The property was old, and in essence was lipstick on a pig. More attention needs to be paid on procedures whereas the key did not work for the room, the TV set was unplugged and the cable did not work. Staff was very accommodating.

I wish there was a jacuzzi and more options in breakfast.

The hotel was just right for the price point. The only slight complaints I have are that if you get back late the parking is kind of questionable ( you have to park around the corner by the indoor tennis courts) and our original room was nicer than the one we had to move to ( they were fixing something and the person checking us in didn’t realize they weren’t done) The bed was nice and soft and comfortable. I loved the walk in shower. I loved that they didn’t have carpet. I also loved that it is only about a mile from the beach and shopping.

Liked the ground level room. Breakfast was good (never enough bananas). Room was roomy and bed was comfortable.

The room was very clean and spacious. The only drawback was that it was a little noisy but luckily, I travel with earplugs!

Day service qas better than the evening. Breakfast was descent. Gave extra time to check out. Tolete was dirty No bottle water or coffee machina in room. Had to ask for an ice bucket.

The Check out sign hanging on the wall says check out is at 12:00 so when I was like that’s great the girl at the desk was so rude and said oh that’s wrong it’s definitely 11 but I’m like it says 12 .. she was just rude .. breakfast was supposed to go to 10 got there at 9:45 it was literally all put away . But otherwise nice rooms . Clean

Ocean was not visible but, they have a pool, breakfast in the morning. Staff were very kind, would definitely recommend and would definitely return here!

Cons- the room key system was broken during half of our stay & required us to have a staff member unlock our door as we came & went. The water fountain in the lobby was broken, the ice machine was broken on our floor aches there was no coffee in the lobby until I mentioned it to the manager who made sure there was coffee there next day, however, that coffee was gritty with grinds. There are no coffee machines in rooms.

Staff was nice and helpful but the building/room was just cheaply made. Breakfast was weak. Coffee was undrinkable. Room keys kept deactivating so we had to get them updated every day.

I was really disappointed at the options available for breakfast. I don’t know how fresh the bagels were as I saw them sit on the counter overnight. We stayed for 4 days and not once was the room cleaned, no fresh linens, towels, toilet paper etc. which would’ve been nice to at least have the doom reset once during our stay.

Only one friendly staff member and he worked the desk, everyone else was rude or unable to communicate due to language barrier. The parking was awful. Away from hotel on a dirt road not well lit at night. When you are traveling alone that can be frightening. Stayed on the third floor, no working elevator n the last day with lots of luggage to bring down several flights of stairs with no help from staff. Very disappointing. Will not be back here, ever.

The hotel, overall, was clean so I did appreciate that. When we arrived, our rooms were not ready, so we had to wait. Then, I asked for rooms side-by-side or at least close together. The front desk had us initially on different floors then changed us to the same floor but far apart. The other rooms and were closer were reserved for other people even though they had not checked in yet. We were given rooms on the same floor, thankfully. However, we were 11 rooms apart. There were no ice buckets in our rooms, cups or ice machine on our floor. There was no hand soap by the sink, only lotion. There was a gap under our door where anything from outdoors could have crawled or slithered inside. Lastly, what upset me the most, was someone attempted to charge additional fees to the card I used for incidentals after we had already checked out and left. I had to contact my bank and dispute charges.

There was no breakfast food or coffee by 9:15am and we never received keys to our room because they weren’t working. An employee had to let us in every time we needed to access our room.

Bit commutable, with crazy drive and parking spots No hospitality staff and worst service with broken infrastructure. Pathetic experience of stay as no service and complains patched when leaving and have to pull my suitcase with no elevator working. No working dryer, floor ripped pool not cleaned , sink clotted. Over all a waste of time and money.

It was a quick trip However they were extremely accommodating allowing us to check in a little early and check out an hour later so we could enjoy our stay a bit longer! It was great services all around. The room was the perfect size for our little family and the breakfast had everyone's favorite. (cereal, bagels, fruit) Trying to find beach access from the hotel was a bit tricky. However once we found the route it was smooth sailing. it is a bit of a walk strolling with a wagon and toddler. However it would not stop us from booking again.

I was happy overall, but having access to water (they gave me a couple free bottles though) would have been nice- like a drinking fountain or bottle filler.

Pool is small and wasn't clean when we arrived. Breakfast is just okay. They do have 24hrs coffee/tea etc. No microwave in the room. Tennis courts aren't for the guests. Coligny beach is walkable. not sure if I'll stay there next time.

Upon arrival there was no parking. The parking lot was sketchy and had lots of clutter. The hotel is an old motel made into a spark hilton. It’s located in the very back of a row of hotels. The rooms are old, but clean. Our room was accessible to the room next door. I was unaware of this when I made the reservation. We were close to the office near the front door so unfortunately the light from the awning came in the room and we could hear families checking in. We did not eat the breakfast iy did not look appealing. We check out by 8 am.

This was my second stay with this location. Couldn’t have chosen a better spot for some much needed time off. It’s so close to the beach and any other establishments you’d want to visit! Will be back soon!!

The walls are extremely thin, and all the rooms are connecting, so you can hear just about everything—dogs barking, coughing, loud snoring, normal conversations. If you’re a light sleeper, this may be an issue. All entry doors open to the outside. As a woman traveling alone, I’d recommend being mindful of your surroundings. The area is well lit, but it still has that open‑access motel feel. Parking is very limited. If you don’t get one of the few spots in front, you’ll have to park behind the building in the alley. It’s lit, but it’s a bit of a walk, especially at night or with luggage. Inside the room, there were no clocks or dresser drawers, which felt odd and a little inconvenient. Overall, it was clean and the basics were comfortable, but the noise level, parking situation, and layout are worth considering before booking.

They didn't have my Hilton number, refused to look it up and enter it. Not enough parking for the amount of rooms they had. Room was very noisy as I was on the 3rd floor and a heater on the roof vibrated all night long. The person checking us in was hard to communicate with. I will not stay here again.

The hotel itself is tucked at the end of a short tree-lined street so there was no street noise (nor any from other guests either). The room was freshly updated (bathroom, vinyl flooring, fresh paint), comfortable mattress, clean.

no ICE. I really enjoyed the international , diverse fellow travelers. It was great to share space with children, young adults, and active seniors. Front desk staff was always available, mostly pleasant, always willing to help.

We thought the room was great. But it was a long walk to get to the room. 314. There were so many empty rooms we can't understand why we were given that was furthest away. Front desk personell were really not very friendly. The part that bothered us the most was we came in one late afternoon and waited about five minutes for the elevator and it never came. We finally went to the front desk to ask and we were told that they were servicing the elevator. There should have been an Out of Order sign on the elevator. It was so wrong to have a stand there waiting with nobody living us know the elevator was not working.

The problem is this hotel uses way too much bleach for cleaning rooms. I stayed in two different rooms over two nights and both reeked of bleach. Cleanliness is one thing but they are going too far and it’s a really uncomfortable feeling to be cooped up in a room full of chemicals. Won’t stay again.

The front desk staff was very helpful with recommending a place to have dinner and directions for getting to the beach.

Older refurbished hotel. Very basic. Near beach which was nice. One thing that would be nice is a small recliner in room instead of the uncomfortable chair. We were also disappointed that the tv had limited stations. No espn! A basic hotel that was good price near beach. Also dog friendly.

This is one of the best places I have stayed at Hilton Head. We go about every four months down there, and I was looking for something new (to us). Very close to the beach free parking. I felt safe. The staff were so nice and accommodating. I was surprised at the reviews, but I still wanted to try it after looking at the location and pictures. Spark was the same price as the one we previously used for the same price. People definitely need to check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

The music in the lobby seemed excessively loud for a hotel.

Had to cur my stay short and front desk was not able to adjust my invoice to reduce one night and was not able to print a receipt. I was charged for 3 nights and stayed only 2

Very limited breakfast options and what they did have was questionable quality.

Property is in great shape, with constant upkeep. Spark team members take pride in their property. Very clean and staff are super helpful. Would like more fresh fruit variety for breakfast. Parking can be a challenge at times. A great place to stay, as very convenient for cycling alternatives, easy beach access. One big wish would be for Spark to negotiate for guests to use the onsite pickleball courts sitting their always empty. We used to use the courts when it was a Best Western. Thanks for a great stay!

Roshan was amazing! We had a great stay even though it was only for one night in Hilton Head. Roshan gave us great recommendations for restaurants and fun places to go. The only complaint is that the floor in the bathroom was a little sticky. We would definitely stay here again!

The only complaint I have is the laundromat not working :( the dryers both don’t work and require $3 in quarters which feels a bit much, especially given the clothes didn’t dry :( other than that the staff, room condition, cleanliness, and overall experience was amazing. 9/10

The rooms are very basic (tiny fridge, no coffee maker or microwave). But the beds are comfortable, the rooms clean, and the location convenient (although a little tricky to find). The breakfast was basic (no serving trays with hot food) but there was a nice variety of breakfast options (yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, muffins, etc). We felt the price of the room was very reasonable.

Enjoyed a wonderful stay with this establishment! It was so close to many different places. The property was a little hidden, so it allowed a quiet place to unwind! Will be back again for another stay!

Excellent electric vehicle charging options. Clean room, room attendants do an excellent job. They do need to attend to some disrepair on bottom of doors and seal on outside doors. Breakfast, lobby, location, all great. Smart TV great.

Parking was hard to find Friday night in the rain. Lot in front of hotel was full. Staff was great. Problem with door lock was taken care of quickly. Breakfast was adequate. Coffee could be improved upon. Late check out was handled well. Good stay. Would come back again.

Room smells like mold, Very displeased with the lack of customer service. Traveled with my family and they were very disappointed. Definitely not going back there.

We were on a roadtrip and this was the second worst hotel we stayed in. The staff was unfriendly and when my wife fell in their front door did not even offer an icepack or bandate for her knee, they never even tried to help. The pool was dirty in a shade of pee. Gross. No microwave in the rooms. the distances to beach and anywhere else are incorrect. A plus is the beach, with white fine sand but even in the off season (end of september) it is full of tourists here. This could still not make up for the hotel. nothing Hilton about it. The furniture is basic, so was the breakfast. if it would have been like 65 a night then the value would have been right, its more like a cheap motel.

This is a Hilton!!! How could you let your pool get in a condition of having green algae growing on the walls!!! The bottom of the pool was covered with leaves and trash!! I would not let my kids get in a pool in this condition. I spoke with other guest that came to the pool also. They left in flustration also!! This was supposed to be a Hilton for Gods sake! Must not mean as much as it used to did!

This is an older property but have been mostly renovated. For the price its not bad. If you want to do laundry bring quarters. The front desk does not carry change. The food was good nice selection. No protein on starchy food and no fruit. But big selection. Very limited parking. Very close walk to the beach. 24 hour codfee bar!! I would stay again.

Location was fine for the value but overall just okay

The property was quiet and peaceful during our stay. The staff were helpful and very polite. Our room was clean. It was walking distance to the beach a short 6 to 10 min walk. The beach was clean and had spacious sand to walk on. Coligny Public Beach was a short 4 min drive were there was the Coligny Plaza for every thing you need for food choices. Gas station and many shops. Would definitely come back again.

Good location for Hilton Head in south forest beach. It’s a long walk to the beach so we drove to the free public parking across from Coligny Plaza. Room was clean and quiet but could use some updating. Good breakfast provided.

Hotel was nice. The pool was refreshing after a day on the beach. I liked that you could walk or ride the bikes to the beach. It was not close enough to the main beach entry to make multiple trips, but to go and come back once was fine for a fun beach day. Breakfast was basic and minimal, but still good to have. Ice cold water was in the loby and coffee, which was appreciated. For the price, I would for sure come back!

Great property for our weekend stay!

We loved staying at the Spark hotel. It was our first experience, and we loved it. The desk clerk, Keshawn, went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

The ERV wasn’t working so the Co2 was high 1500ppm. The duct was installed in the bathroom but no airflow suction. Mark

The hotel and rooms were clean and nice. The breakfast is very basic just so you know. The AC in our room wasn't strong enough to cool the room as much as we'd like but was passable.

The hotel Is well situated, convenient and a few minutes far from the public beach and shopping center. Rooms are clean and ok for the price, breakfast is ok , but room cleaning service is not done daily. In addition, there is a laundry facility that works with quarters, but at the front desk they did not change money for quarters which is not convenient.

Friendly staff, very close to the beach (easy walk), and close to shopping/dining.

There is no microwave in room. No ice machine on the property. Very small refrigerator in room. Room was not ready until 4:20. Only chair in room to sit in was a metal chair.

Had to change rooms 3 times do to some major issues. AC was one problem. Black mold was another issue do probably to the heat index and no ventilation in the bathroom. The manager did make things right with us though. Maybe it was just a one time unusual crazy stay kinda thing. It was pretty and clean. Hotels info about the place isn’t correct! It’s a 3 minute drive to the beach, not a 5 or 8 minute walk as stated on the hotels site! Same for the Coligny Plaza. Probably a 3-5 minute drive, not walk.

was kinda difficult to navigate to , behind a lot of condos and there were not many parking spots available. Breakfast consisted of boiled eggs , yogurt, bagels , muffins , and cereal. Overall was clean and well maintained. Staff were nice.

Spent 3 nights, only got room service once and never got clean towels. Had to ask the front desk each time we needed new towels. Breakfast was lack luster; apples, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, bagels.

Spark is in a great location. Breakfast was all continental, so don’t expect something else. Entire campus is non-smoking.

This is more motel than hotel. They are 5min from the beach but have no beach amenities and staff was confused to explain way to get to the beach. Room is definitely over priced.

We were provided with the room that had a smell of mold, got a replacement room, which had the same problem. parking was very hard to find minimal parking.

Convenient, and less pricey than other overpriced options

The hotel was a free shuttle away from Caligny Beach and the price was right . The swimming pool was very nice. The breakfast was nice and the front lobby was clean. The manager was terrific. THey did not clean the room or give clean towels for a 2 night stay. We had a strong rain and the odor in the room was that of sewage I am afraid. It cleared during the day but still was not appreciated. Overall, good and acceptable.

The location and amenities are excellent for the price, and the staff is very friendly. No one ever came to clean our room, which wasn't a huge deal, since we were only there four nights.

Disappointed in this stay. made it look closer to beach than it was and there was no beach access for blocks...not much parking and staff while not rude had could-care-less attitude

Main reason for a hotel is to sleep. The AC unit in 107 made so much noise the whole night ( like a garbage truck or dirt hauling truck unloading ). Room very wet/damp with cleaning agents so it smelled badly. I will never return.

We would stay again for sure. You can walk to Coligny Beach but you’ll like the private beach you’ll have access to across the Main Street better. It’s way less crowded.

Just before check out, I ran back upstairs to my room and in error I got off the elevator on the 2nd fl, instead of 3rd. I was in room 309. Thinking i was on the 3rd fl, I went to 'my room' and I was able to get into room 209. Upon the door opening I quickly closed it as i was clearly aware this was not my room....how was the key for 309 able to open the door for 209?

Convenient location, easy parking, responsive staff. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. A ton of counter space. Well renovated and good ac for hot summer days. We enjoyed our stay.

Friendly, helpful workers and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very disappointing; I would say the worst hotel breakfast we've ever had as far as choices. There were no chairs in the room so the only place to even sit to put on shoes was on the bed. They provided hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The lotion was on the wall by the sink and the hand soap was in the shower. So to wash hands, you needed to go to the shower to get the soap. Weird. No face or body soap. Towels were in limited supply. I wouldn't want to have to go back.

This is a solid 3 star hotel. Nicely renovated by Hilton. Whenever we had an issue they management resolved them. Staff did a good job keeping rooms clean. The air conditioning worked well. Great walking/biking paths and the beach is close. The parking was easy. Breakfast was minimal but included so nice.

Staff was not helpful with amenities and did not answer phones when calling from our room. They did yard work at 8am around the rooms as well.

It was okay. Ten minute walk from beach. No microwave. Very limited breakfast. Ran out of several items on third day there. Yogurt machine was down entire stay and only real source of protein. Day 4 they added boiled eggs. Had to request housekeeping but once asked they immediately addressed it.

Hilton did a good job renovating this older hotel. The building is wedged between a condo building and tennis courts. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Beds are comfortable and lots of counter space! The pool and fitness facility are decent, not amazing. I give the hotel a 3.5 star overall. Breakfast is free but limited. Staff and management were accommodating.

It was 1 overnight night the place was clean bathrooms nice but its a motel at the end of the day! Pool free coffee 24 hrs a day pet friendly! Tara is a great manger I would stay here again.Thank you

I’m still fighting them to be refunded for three nights I didn’t stay. My family canceled our trip early here, cockroaches all over the room, room service would never come clean our room after multiple request. Breakfast was stale and over picked. Had to go down stairs three times to the lobby to beg for towels. Loud banging on the door at 1 AM, front desk wouldn’t do anything about it. Noisy and honestly not worst the money. Not safe too.

Even though I paid everything through Expedia they charged my credit card for the hotel stay. It was a pain and frustrating but they fixed it. Not sure how that happens?

My family and I stayed here for two nights because several of the other hotels were all booked. I should have listened to the reviews! I wasn’t expecting anything grand, but I did expect better service. I will say the property was clean. The rooms were basic, but clean and spacious. However, it was a hassle to get simple towels. Housekeeping did not come to clean the room, thus towels were not replenished. My husband asked the front desk for towels and was told that housekeeping was gone for the day, but he could come to the desk and get some. When he got to the desk the lady there only wanted to issue 2 towels even though there were 3 of us in the room. He had to almost beg for an additional towel. Later that evening my mom and sister asked for towels and were both told that housekeeping was gone for the day and they would have to wait until 7 am. My mom went back down later and there was a man at the desk who gave her towels with no issue. I was very disappointed with the lack of service. In addition, parking spaces are limited. They give you a tag to put in your car just to end up parking in a dark gravel-filled area behind the hotel with signs saying to park at your own risk. It is not worth paying over $200/night.

Nice location. Close to Coligny Beach, which is beautiful! You will need a car though, the main shopping, dining and beach area is about a mile away. I liked the fact you could park right next to your room and the TV had cable and smart TV options.

This was perfect for a girls' trip getaway. The location was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The employees were all friendly. The breakfast was so much better than some of the other reviews that referred to it as a "bagel bar"; it had bagels but also had cereal, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs. Completely adequate to grab something and get the day started! We didn't use the pool but it looked to be clean and the people who were using it seemed to be enjoying it. We plan to stay here again.

Great stay and very clean hotel

Not enough parking in the lot - only room for about 25 cars. We had to park each night on an adjacent gravel road the was not lit well. During the morning, the front desk person was quite rude and even though I am a Hilton Rewards member for over 10 years, since I booked through Travelocity, I had to pay $4 for each bottle of water. Other Hilton properties we stay at always give me my rewards points and a couple bottles of water free.

Sherry at the front desk at check in was AMAZING! All your staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was super clean for it being pet friendly! So much within walking distance. Just a totally great Hotel location.

It’s an older Hotel that has some Hilton lipstick on it. It’s clean and in a good location on HH. The “breakfast” is nothing more than a selection of bagels, cereal, and a plastic wrapped muffin.
