Breakfast nobody told me about this Breakfast The room did have a slight smell of someone had smoked in the room .Besides that all good . Front desk was help .

Staff was super nice , especially the bistro guy. Lobby is pleasant. Pool is very nice, room and bed was very comfortable, location is good. The room was not super nicely cleaned up during the day. Bed was not done perfectly , coffee was forgotten to be replenished, cups were missing. The place could benefit from a real restaurant rather than a one person operation. Although he was super nice. He had to deal by himself with a pretty busy evening at the ‘bistro’ .

I had only 2 problems. A front desk staff person was a little rude at times. But most strikingly, the breakfast offered as part of the room price was ridiculously paltry. I would think that a multibillion dollar hospitality corporation would be able to offer guests in one of its major cities a complete and satisfying complimentary breakfast. Dozens of other hotel chains do an infinitely better job. I might think again about staying at a Courtyard.

Our first room was facing the highway. Even at 3am, it was no stop cars and road noise. It sounded like we were camping next to the road. We switched rooms to other side and it was quieter. The second room wasn’t cleaned properly, there was a lot of hair in the shower. The only food is at the Starbucks in the lobby. They make breakfast but expect to pay $20 for two eggs bread and potatoes.

At check in the lady wasn’t very nice or helpful. Had a hard time for a few minutes finding the room as her directions were vague by pointing over there. The rest of the stay was fine considering it was only a night in this hotel.

This was my first time at a Marriott Courtyard and it will be my last.

I made reservations through Expedia to stay here for a trip to visit family. Note at the time I made the reservations there were no notices that the reservations were refundable. Up to this point I've never had an issue with a hotel in which I couldn't cancel the reservation and get the full refund as long as the cancellation was made in advance of the check in date. A week after making the reservation, we got word of a family emergency and I immediately tried to cancel the reservation through Expedia. Expedia replied two days later telling me that the reservation was non-refundable and that this was "the property's policy." Initially, I tried to appeal this decision through Expedia. Expedia told me they had nothing to do with the decision, I would have to work this out through Marriott. I spoke to three different people associated with this property: the reservation service (told they don't do anything with cancellations), a person in guest services (again she said she couldn't do anything, I should call the front desk), and finally spoke to someone at the front desk who told me there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to her manager but was told the manager was busy but could call me back. Never heard from the manager. During this experience I spoke with many people from Marriott and Expedia. Although everyone was polite no one had any authority to help me with this issue.

Check in was friendly and fast. I would stay here again and again. After we checked out I realized that I left two sentimental bracelets on the nightstand and went into a full panic. We called the hotel and they immediately went to the room, found them and held them until I could pick them up.

Hotel was close to the highway and room was nice and clean. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Workout room was nice but well maintained. Parking was easy with nice spacing between cars. Noise from highway was noticeable but not loud. It would be way too noisy if any windows were cracked open.

The hotel was very clean, attractive and comfortable. And quiet. The room was pretty big. If it had been warmer, we had a patio and it looked liked the upper floors had balconies.

This is the second year we stayed here, and my family really loved it again! It is a great place to stay if you are vacationing with family!

I didn’t know I was booking for Highland Park, Il. I thought it was Highland Park, MI.

The only thing to improve was the bistro the food is not good coffee was bad and they only have pork breakfast meats other then that the hotel was great room was clean and nice the heat and air situation is a little off but comfortable.

Great location for what we were in the area for - Very comfortable beds and room was very cozy. Was only there for one night but will stay there again when in the area. Loved that it was so close to the Edens. seriously - charging $6.00 for a bottle of water - not cool. Water was free out of the ice machine!

What a great place to stay for a concert weekend at Ravinia! Three minute drive to the venue, $10 shuttle, close to downtown Highland Park and the Chicago Botanic Garden and fantastic service! Will stay here again for sure!

This is always the best place to stay if you're going to the Ravinia festival. I love the fact that they offer shuttle service. It is $10 per person but definitely worth it. Getting a hotel here lessens the stress of driving parking etc etc. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. We were there to see John Legend on the Sunday he performed there. The woman who was driving the shuttle was very very helpful. Me and my friend had quite a bit of stuff with us we had chairs and a cooler etc and she made them off fit so that was wonderful. One thing I didn't really like is the fact that they had a bottle of water in the room and they charge you $6 for it. That part of hotel stays always puzzles me a bit because really why do you have to charge for a bottle of water? But overall it was a great day I will definitely go back again. Next time I will explore the pool and the food that they have to offer I really didn't have much time there. Normally I take pictures of the hotels that I go to but for some reason I forgot to do it this time.

The location was convenient to the concert venue. The property was in decent condition and overall the room was ok. Beds seemed to be smaller than queen size as indicated on Expedia and were squeaky when turning over. Not sure if they were air mattesses or it was the bed padding, but very annoying if you are a light sleeper or someone that turns a lot throughout the night.

Here for Lenny Kravitz at Ravinia- check in was easy, room was nice, clean and comfortable. Shuttle to showcase a bonus! Would definitely recommend staying here!

I was utterly surprise of how clean and new this establishment was. Pool was Great! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Also the mall is 5 mins away so shopping is so convenient. Overall, you won’t be disappointed.

Shuttle to Ravinia

I loved being able to get Starbucks and bring it back to my room while I was getting ready. I also enjoyed the local recommendations from the front desk staff.

The hotel was fine and the staff was great. The only negative was my room backed up to highway so it was very noisey at night. Also the air-conditioner was not working properly our room was very warm at night

Good place.

We arrived at 10:30 pm and there was 4 people waiting to check in before us. It took about 25 min, but once in the room was clean and nice. We had a short stay so did not see much of hotel other than our room.

Everything was good except for two things, one significant and the other minor. The significant issue was that we stayed on the west side of the property which faces a gas station that plays very loud music at its pump bases throughout the evening and early morning. Very frustrating to lose significant sleep over before evening. Stay. Address the issue with hotel management, but apparently they were unable to reduce the volume. Will avoid that side of the property in the future. The lesser issue was that a piece in the shower that appeared to be a foot rust was broken when we arrived.

After getting back with all our stuff (cooler, chair, etc…) the elevator didn’t work. Same person/driver wasn’t helpful. Didn’t appear to speak English. We had to go up the stairs with all our stuff.

Stayed here to attend a concert at Ravinia. When I asked about parking for the concert I was told they had a shuttle available for a small fee. That was great! But they didn’t tell any of us that they were also using buses loaned from other hotels, so I ended up walking the 2 miles back. Little but salty about that. Otherwise a good stay.

The staff were by far the standout feature of this property. I wish I had his name, but there was a young man with a slight accent (maybe Irish) working the front desk, and I've never seen more hustle in a hotel staff person in my life. He did everything, including running back and forth between the front desk and the Starbucks counter to make sure that we were happy. I will definitely be coming back!

Everthing went well. Clean rooms. Confortable beds. Check was quick and easy. Dont like that water and coffee in the lobby was not complimentary. The water bottke in the room was 1 life bottle for $6.

Stayed here since I had a half marathon close by and I live about an hour away. Didn’t want to wake up super early for the long drive. Comfortable bed, clean room. Had a late checkout which was greatly appreciated. Would stay again.

The staff were professional and the hotel itself was clean. I was there with a wedding party and our stay was relaxing and comfortable. Parking was easy and the rooms were wonderful.

It's a good option to stay

I did an advanced remote check in and recd a text/ email saying I was checked in. Only to arrive after 10 hours of driving to be told that wasn't the case. This was a huge inconvenience because I was enroute to an event and passed a relatives home that I could have stopped at and gotten ready but I was under the impression that I had someplace to go. All I ask is don't send any communication saying you're checked in if there isn't going to be a room available. The manager on duty was condescending & may need remedial customer service training. She was nothing short of offensive and I was far from belligerent my tone and volume were that of a normal conversation. I was miffed by her presentation as she, in that moment, was the face of your organization. I was disappointed.

Great courteous staff. Room was very clean. I appreciate the consideration of cleaning the room last unless you requested, because it does make things more sustainable and eco-friendly.

There is no sound insulation in the hotel, especially since it is located on the highway, so the sounds of cars do not stop, and the toilet suction does not work, and the toilet seat has very weak suction, and the workers have frowning faces and do not speak English and do not take the initiative to greet you, and if you take the initiative, they do not respond. Also, an amount of forty dollars was withdrawn from me on top of the original bill and they did not explain it before, and when I asked the receptionist, she said it was services?!!!! In general, an experience that I will not repeat, and because of it, I will not visit Chicago again. The roads are crowded and drivers do not respect road partners. I even found bullying at traffic lights because of my car plate. I am very sad ✋🙃

Toilet didn't work. I brought it to their attention several times starting 30mins after I entered my room. They never came to fix it but I was offered a plunger...A PLUNGER. Apologies were my only compensation. Smh

The Botanic Grdens were right down the road from this Courtyard. Very convenient.

I always feel comfortable at the Courtyard. The only disappointment was the Bistro was shut one of the days I was there so I was lacking coffee.

The noise from the highway is unbearable, I tried to get an inside room not facing the highway but no luck. The parking lot was full of garbage, lots of bottles and paper strewn around. No on has obviosly picked up the lot in years.

It is wonderful it is so near The music venue.

Staff were very kind and had good communication even though there were a lot of delays in getting everyone’s rooms ready. I arrived at 4:30 only to find out that my room wasn’t ready and there were a whole bunch of people in the lobby waiting for theirs as well. They were very apologetic once the room was finally available a few hours later, and it was clean and comfortable so I have no complaints! I hope they’re able to figure out their staffing issues to avoid future delays for their own sakes.

I liked the shuttle to Ravania for a concert. Room was clean and updated. The side of the hotel near the freeway was a bit noisy. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

We arrived at 4:30 with a reservation, and still, our room wasn't ready. We had to wait 45 minutes to get a room. They just don't have the staff to meet the need.

I was very comfortable with my stay. The only thing I will critique is the dining/food menu. Dining/Food selection options are very limited. The menu should be more versatile and extended.

Have stayed here before and at many other courtyards. This property is slipping. Checked into rom for 8 day stay. Found food in frig from previous guest. When I pulled back bed to covers I found a small suspicious looking red stain. Perhaps blood. If was too late to demand housekeeping task I slept on towels and was a bit creeped out. I called desk early next morning to explain situation and asked that the linens be changed in the next 10 hours. Imagine my disappointment when I returned 12 hours later and the linen had not been changed. Called desk and clerk told me they were very busy and they would get to it the next day. Unacceptable- I demanded a refund or room change. Housekeeping arrived an hour later. Overlay room and property are ok- needs attention to detail and better staff supervision. Potion and patio furniture in courtyard are dirty. Some doors and other things in common spaces need update and maintenance.

Did not like the choice at breakfast. Paid for breakfast for two but this gave us the choice of one hot break or two cold snack at the lobby Starbucks.
