STAYED THERE FOR A WEDDING, EVERYTHING WAS GREAT FROM THE VALET TO THE ROOM. STAFF WAS AMAZING. THE BEACH WAS RELAXING. NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT THE SEAWEED THIS TIME OF YEAR IT HAPPENS SO I DIDNT EVEN FACTOR THAT INTO MY STAY REVIEW. ALLROUND AMAZING STAY WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK

Everything was good. The food was good. The room was clean

Memorial Day weekend and very busy but 2 days of cleanup after 4 pm was the only complaint this time. Still our go to and recommended hotel for Delray and Boca Raton Florida

I took my family here for Mother’s Day weekend and it really surpassed my expectations! The food was great. The drinks were great. I love the experience. I will definitely be back.

Rooms are old and dated and smell misty. Old air conditioning units in the rooms are old and very loud. Every time they cycle on it is loud enough to wake you up and it happens just about every half hour. Managed by the Opal, but nowhere near an Opal quality level.

This resort was truly a breath of fresh air. Everything was nice, clean, and relaxing — from the room to the pool and jacuzzi. The entire property was beautiful, well-maintained, and made for a perfect getaway. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean but the staff was excellent! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable during your stay!

We had a beautiful ocean view from our room and the room was spotless. Every day staff came in and made beds and gave us new towels. Restaurant on site is very good and bar for the pool is great too! Can't wait to go back.

everything was terrific -staff was wonderful

The location and views were amazing. We had a pool side view with a partial ocean view, and it was fantastic. We slept like champions. For morning walks we just walked across the street and joined others walking along a paved sidewalk. We barely had to go anywhere with the on-site restaurant serving us breakfast, lunch and dinner. My one complaint is the brewed coffee; It was not good! I upgraded to the cappuccino and that was delicious.

Always a great choice. Close to everything and the Latitudes Restaurant on site is really great at every meal. Definitely, our go to hotel in Delray.

The room and amenities were all great.

The Valet parking was confusing when we first got there and there's no self-parking. For the price/resort fees/etc. we think our valet parking should have been included. The bar was great and we like the bartender Brian. Wish Happy Hour would have gone until 7pm like the website says. Patio pool view was obstructed by too many plants. AC in the room was very noisy, and the TV hopped channels on it's own and was quite annoying.

My room itself did not have the view I expected and ac was a bit weak BUT… when we checked out we left an item of great importance which they found and fedexes overnight Which I appreciate and will return the favor when next in Del Rey

Beautiful resort with great amenities. Pool is small but worked and beach was beautiful. Great bar service to both. Rooms are average size but nice. Balconies were big and lovely for enjoying the ocean breeze. Would recommend for a long weekend. A few miles from downtown Del Ray. Definitely need a car to get to anything.

The hall ways smelled of humidity. Establishment is outdated.

We also walked a couple of miles each day down Oceanfront Blvd which is very walker/runner friendly but be careful, because you’ll be distracted by the outstanding homes lining the street! We rented a car and found it helpful for driving to/from the downtown area where there are a variety of shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend checking out Glimmer Cafe for breakfast or a delicious coffee drink (try the cherry pistachio latte!) or making a dinner reservation at Selini, a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant. We would also highly recommend a trip to the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens; a short 20 minute drive from the resort.

The pool and on beach location are great Latitudes is an excellent restaurant. The $20 parking per day is ridiculous. There is also a facilities fee.

Loved the rocking chairs on the balcony overlooking both the pool and the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Lovely all the way around.

Our room did not have balcony which was a little bit inconvenient for us we couldn’t have any way to dry out our swimming clothes. Other than that the stuff was very friendly and room new and clean. The hotel location was close to everything that we wanted to go. Very good area. Will definitely go again!

The beverages was not good for the price is to high the bed was little hard but this hotel was amazing just the beverage for the price is nothing good

My room was very basic. Main floor with a window facing a parking lot. For the amount of money I paid I don’t think it was worth it. The pool was crowded and very hard to find two chairs together. The service at restaurant was super slow and food was terrible. Visited the front desk a few times to see if I could switch my room or request refund for my stay and the staff was unable to accommodate my request.

food (though not always very hot) was absolutely outstanding Javier at valet stand great overall staff experience average rooms clean/ landscaping a huge plus for us ocean experience,restaurant, very peaceful and quiet over night will definitely draw us back next year for the Delray Open tennis tournament

I loved everything about the Delray Sands. Aside from the property itself, the service was impeccable from the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and pool and the valet parking. The staff was all smiles and eager to please the food and beverage service at the pool and beach was great, and Michael at the pool kept us so comfortable with moving the umbrella around and delivering frozen grapes and cold cloths. I’m definitely going back!!

The hotel staff went above and beyond with service. I was very impressed.

Room had a lot of sand on floor near beds and bathroom but was taken care of right away! AC leaked water on floor and I reported twice and they supposedly sent someone but still leaked. I reported when I checked out.

We had a very nice stay at the Del Ray Sands Resort. Great location, right on the beach. The room itself was pretty basic, but you really couldn’t beat the location. The hotel staff were all really friendly. We used the valet service several times and they were always quick to bring our car around. The bartender was very friendly, too. I also liked that our room came with free access to two chairs, an umbrella and towels for the beach (also for the pool). I’d stay here again, for sure.

I loved the view!! The area was very quiet as well.

We absolutely love this place and have for 10yrs strong. The food is top notch, the beach and pool are gold here. Only incident we experienced was a broken side mirror on my truck (assuming valet) the AC metal screen panel sitting on our balcony as opposed to the unit itself and someone on the beach blasting regeton on the beach.. we come here to escape that lifestyle. Other than that we will continue to show The Sands respect and loyalty 🙏

Would have like to know the room rate shown was only 67% of the room cost. Room rate shown $224 per nite additional service charge per nite $118. Nice hotel enjoyed our stay but not happy about the added service charge amount. Should know that info up front and if it was shown it is my bad.

Great customer service!

Very nice resort. My only issue is that they had an issue with pool area getting a makeover of some sort and it would take longer than expected. Made my reservation months ahead of our trip but found out on day of checkin the pool would be closed for most of our stay. We were in route from NY with having to scramble to make reservations elsewhere. We worked it out and thankful we got to stay first night since we couldn't get a reservation on that day. They did help us but after I made a new reservation and gave us the same pricing (it was at their sister location in Delray). Love this place, just wish i didn't find out at the last minute, very stressful.

This property could be awesome but for some reason they have flooded the entire interior courtyard and pool area with harsh cool white lighting. It destroys the ambiance and feels like a Walmart parking lot at night time.

I loved my stay at Delray Sands and will likely be back. I could not say enough positive things about the staff and the area this hotel is in. My only issue was that they were doing construction around the pool area and concrete dust was often being pushed into the pool area where guests were breathing and swimming in it. I would have given my stay 5 stars if not for that. Would highly recommend though.

The property was very nice overall. I had an ocean view room, and the view was amazing. However, there was a loud machine/air conditioner noise that was so loud I couldn’t hear the ocean while on the balcony.

We have visited this hotel 5 times and every time we have a great experience. The staff, the hotel’s upkeep, the pool and beach area, the attention to details. Can’t wait to come back again. Great for a couple getaway but also a great family vacation.

Still a great place to stay with a great restaurant

Loved the comfy vibe of the hotel, not too large. Linens and amenities were great, and the adjoining beach was gorgeous.

It was nice and relaxing. Mattress was not comfortable. I did not have a good night's sleep while I was ther.

Our favorite place on the beach!

Location is beautiful, we had a balcony view of the ocean. The room was comfortable and the housekeeping staff were very attentive. The only complaint I had with cleanliness is that the air conditioner was blowing black dust/mold and it settled on the floor and chair below the vent. I contacted the front desk a couple of times about the issue. Maintenance was there twice, but the issue remained during our four night stay there. Otherwise it was a pretty nice stay.

It was really a gratefully surprise, everything os just right! Amount of guest! Excellent staff all over the hotel. Pet friendly but really friendly! And the view from the balcony rooms amazing. Definitely best option in Delray.

The hotel and all staff are wonderful. The beach is awesome. We go there at least two or three times a year. Restaurant great.Highly recommend. Right on the beach.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was clean. We loved the robes! It’s a hidden treasure on the beach. The service at the bar and restaurant was excellent. It was close to Atlantic, yet secluded from the crowd. Highly recommend!

Talk about a small slice luxury at a great price point! Beach and views are amazing. And latitudes (restaurant on site) had some great food!!!

We've stayed at this resort several times and it never dissapoints. Staff is courteous and friendly from the valet parking, front desk, housekeeping and restaurant. Excellent beach and adequate clean pool and spa.

I had an amazing stay at the Delray Sands Hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I celebrated my birthday with a few complimentary gifts that were sent to my room. I would definitely return and stay again.

There is no self parking, only valet parking. Then the hotel is quite old for what they charge & offer, $500/night with no breakfast and old hotel? Really?

I kinda felt like anyone can walk in off the street. Beach was nice . Pool didn’t use. We also saw a sticker on the hotel balcony door to be mindful of the sea turtles and turn off the lights or close our drapes. Meanwhile every balcony had an outdoor light on 24 hours that can’t be shut off. What’s the point then? Rooms just ok. It was clean enough but the AC was giving me problems and the grout in the shower was gross. Plus pressure was horrible in my shower. I paid a lot for a quick overnight stay and felt like it was a waste of money. Fitness center felt like 10 x 10 room. Our waiter Yves was the best part of our stay for Easter dinner. Latitudes staff in general were great. Everyone else lacked personality and seemed miserable. Overall the location is the best part!

great bang for the buck

Great property. Didn't like valet service. When I drove up, a valet walked past me to take a MB car, even though I was checking in with luggage

The elevator was not up to code and didn’t even have any inspection reports. The buttons did not work in the elevator. The water pressure was not the greatest, but the service of the staff and the restaurant was fantastic. I do not think the resort fee adds up to the value that you get considering you can get a lot more if you had just south a bit or just a bit when it is considered a resort.

We had a great family stay at Delray Sands! All of the employees were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the large heated pool and hot tub. They were great even when we had bad weather. We also loved that it’s right on the beach! The restaurant was perfect . We ate breakfast outside overlooking the ocean and returned for a delicious dinner! Highly recommended hotel!

I was there with my fiancé to visit his family. There were no surprises of the hotel. We got what we expected. The location and the view from the property are amazing.

JUST A GREAT PLACE AND PERFECT SPOT

Then, I woke up at 1 am and found a cockroach on my toothbrush in the bathroom!!! I sent a text message to the guest services that has been texting me regarding our stay and sent pictures. I asked to be switched rooms but they only offered to move us to a worse location room on the first floor with a view of the parking lot. No thanks, I don’t want to be closer to the ground where there are MORE cockroaches!! So I just asked that my room be thoroughly cleaned and sprayed for bugs. After going out to dinner tonight, I returned to the room to find MORE cockroaches in the bathroom!! I killed a baby cockroach on the wall and another one next to the shower. I called the front desk to complain again and they just sent someone to spray our room. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE at a so called “resort” that I paid more than $500/nt for plus their additional $40/nt resort fee. Ridiculous! I will never stay at an Opal Grand Property again.

I needed to put a towel to cover the hole under the door. Also the pool is very average. I will not be returning to this hotel.

Outstanding hotel restaurant.

Property was great, however, we did have some issues with the guests in the room next door. They were very intoxicated, going in and out of room and SLAMMING the door, yelling outside our door, and be very disruptive all after midnight. I called the front desk to ask them to please handle the situation (which was ever felt with) and my husband and I were woken up and kept up for hours. This was an escape for my husband and I. We live in the city and this vacation was to get away from the noise and chaos. I really like the property, but will probably never stay again as our room was very expensive and the staff did not seem to care about late night disruptions to other guests.

The resort is getting old with signs of neglect and little upkeep. The prices are high and getting higher. No newspapers for guest. Turn down service at night was selective (2 nights out of 6). The agreed upon Expedia price was different than the resort price, which I will be disputing

My room was infested with bugs, the manager phoned an exterminator which then the room smelled horrible. Then they offered me a new room which I did take. Only to find out the air Conditioning in that room was not working properly

Was not impressed with this hotel , staff was ok for the money . Valet charges we very expensive and the staff at valet were not friendly. Coffee in the room was aweful all they had was expresso will not recommend. And they charge over charged me

Beautiful views, nice grounds, lovely staff.

These accommodations was absolutely gorgeous. If my patio was any closer to the water, I would’ve needed a bathing suit. The Nespresso coffee appliance with pods was a nice touch. Pool was amazing and clean and the staff was extremely accommodating. While the decor was fresh and updated, the lock to secure the bathroom barn door was a little rickety. There was just 1 robe hook in place of towel bars in the bathroom and the sink wasn’t the cleanest between itself and the mirror. Overall, I’d stay again for sure.

There was bugs we had to kill, airconditioning is very old window unit and didn't work well, stained sheets and intolerable smell.

Relaxing place, excellent food and service, totally recomended

We stayed at the Sands many years ago and it was a great location but the rooms were dingy. This time, either we had a much better room, or it has been updated. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for going to the beach, and the fact that two chairs and an umbrella come with the price of the room is a huge plus. The restaurant is excellent, with great views. Overall it's a great place to stay, especially the full-ocean view rooms with balcony! The hotel was very crowded at least when we were there, and there was an elevator that was out, which meant that we had to walk up between 3 and six flights each time we entered and left the hotel. Of course that could happen to anyone, but we did have the thought that it would have been nice if they offered us some kind of compensation.

Loved this property felt like a resort. Perfect for a quick trip for parents weekend. Clean, friendly staff and had staff at the pool that were also incredible.

Location was perfect. The restaurait was delicious with great views. Pool bar, hot tub all that you want in a small resort.

The beach was dirty. Elevator out of service. Smoke alarms went off throughout the entire hotel at 7 am for 45 minutes. Front desk never gave me restaurant recommendations as promised. Pool n restaurant were nice.

We have stayed at this property many times. The only issue we had was with one of the bartenders by the pool. I ordered a drink and did not like how it tasted, when I went to ask him to make me another, he was very rude and impolite. This has never happened as I find the staff to be helpful and polite. Perhaps he was having a bad day!

A small resort that is top notch. The room was a good size and we had a balcony with an ocean view. The resort fees include water in your room and cookies at night which is a nice touch. It also includes a beach chair and umbrella. The pool staff and beach staff made sure we were taken care of and wait staff came around to offer drinks and food brought to your spot on the beach or at the pool. The restaurant was beautiful and offered seating inside or outside with a beautiful view of the beach. The food was excellent and the wait staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Overall, it is a great family hotel.

They were extremely accommodating and letting me get an early check-in and a late check out. I will definitely be back soon. I hope it doesn’t expand because it’s perfect the way it is.
