The hotel was definitely not as advertised. The indoor pool was very small and the jacuzzi was out of service.

The breakfast bar was not as good as I expected. The room was alright; however, the hotel needs upgrades in the room and especially the bathroom. It had a jetted tub and the bathtub walls needs upgraded. The phone was broken. I could call down for services needed.. Once upgrades are done, I think the hotel will be much better.

The AC system could have been better it was mostly warm in the room. The person that check me in wasnt polite or patient to listen to my concerns about payments. The check out staff was better.Room cleanliness was decent.Didnt eat their breakfast.Overall stay was ok!

I have stayed there often and it’s in a great location This stay I was there for 5 nights and my room was never serviced or cleaned-I requested a change of towels and that’s all that was done. Then there was even a note requested by the front desk to service the room ands the housekeepers never did that. Was very disappointing and will most likely not stay at this hotel again

I was about to leave , when he said he found it. when I checked in the room there was a hair in my bed. I did not complain because I was very tired.

I booked a 3 night stay for me and my daughter. After paying close to $900, I had much higher expectations than what we experienced. When we first waked into our room, I noticed a pair of Gildan men’s underwear hanging on the fireplace. The window was broken (the window pane popped inwards and the screen popped outwards so that there was an open gap for our entire stay. My kid made a game of trying to catch all the bugs in the room. She loved the pool (it’s really only suitable for kids) but it closed over 2 hours earlier than the sign said it would. All the staff was really friendly at least!

Location was about the only thing, place should be torn down it is a dump. I can't believe I paid $200 a night for that dump, if you don't believe me go look at it for yourself The place was a dump, the other side was fixed up nice to make you think it was nice but wait until you go inside your room yikes

There was a mix up with the airport shuttle and non arrived. Manager a little indifferent.

This is a very tired property. You may want to rethink booking it.

It did the job for what we paid but in need of serious renovation which is under go at the moment . Not the typical Wyndham property quality .

They should have to specific the "operating hours" of the shuttle on the listing - because if they had I would not have stayed there. The internet was so slow part of the time that I could not do my work.

The manager at the front desk (Ali)was very nice and friendly. The room was nice and the pool area was great. The breakfast was pretty good.

Do not stay at this hotel until they update the premises and train staff.

The staff was friendly and the property was well kept. The rooms could have been updated a little more. You can tell this is an old hotel. However, they are trying to keep it clean.

Seemed like they spend more money on their lobby than the rooms. Run down and need renovations. There was black mold in the room we were given and everything just seemed to have a layer of grime coving it.

Staff was friendly, room appeared to be clean but.... My bed had bedbugs and I was bitten on both legs. I called the facility when I got home and told them about the bed bugs. I didn't notice the bites until I arrived home. I spoke with the owner/manager and he was very concerned about it. He said he would take the room off the market and take care of it. Unfortunately the person before me did not inform them so it could have been taken care of sooner. People, you have to tell management about these things!! Otherwise they do not know there is an issue to take care of it!! This can happen even at a 5 star hotel! It took weeks for those bites to heal!!!

N/a There were dead and alive bugs, sheet had spots on them. Mold in the bathroom shower leaked out on the floor. Front desk “Michael” attitude was horrible…I would like a full refund

One staff member was incredibly rude and mean. I was asked inappropriate questions that had no relevance to my stay. He treated me as secondhand citizen.

Online check-in was a joke, as even though I did it, nothing was registered at the hotel, and it all had to be done at the front desk. I was told the systems didn't "talk" to each other. The water pressure was very, very slow. I was on the 2nd floor.

We found a bug in one of the beds, and the breakfast was not very good. I wanted to have oatmeal for breakfast, but there was no hot water. Otherwise, the stay was nice and the staff were friendly.

The whole hotel was dingy. Cracked tile in the bathroom floor, the baseboard and wallpaper were peeling from the wall. Even the elevator was dirty and felt like it hadn't been cleaned in ages.

While I have been generally satisfied by my multiple stays at the Wingate by Wyndham, the complete lack of USB ports in a hotel room in 2025 is aggravating, to say the least.

The staff is always so helpful in getting you checked in quickly. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's close to a main thoroughfare so it's quick to get to and from wherever you need to be but not so close that it's loud. Having stayed here several times now, I always keep coming back to this location.

We also noticed that the shampoo/ soap, bottles that were left were nearly empty, so obviously had been used before our stay. DISGUSTING! I would NOT EVER stay here again! This used to be a nice place to stay but I am fearful that it has been run down and will never make a comeback.

Room was very loud. The plumbing in our room and the rooms around us sounded AWFUL all night. The hvac made all types of horrible noise throughout the night. We tried to TV remotes and neither worked. Breakfast was not great. Bed was not comfortabled.

The locks on the doors were poor and did not open easily, the condition and upkeep of the rooms were less than par… (moldings were missing, paint was inconsistent, lobby smelled like chlorine, just the overall appearance was not up to par compared to other….

Shower head sprayed really hard and no way to adjust it, toilet wouldn’t fill up after you flushed it and had to open the top of the toilet lid and push down on the fluid master to get it to fill again. Had to do this every time after also. It was a hassle didn’t want to complain because we were just trying to enjoy our trip.

Bed bugs, foul smelling hallways, a mix of piss, smoke and Fabuloso. black residue in the ice machine, people smoking in neighboring rooms. They were aware of the issue and did nothing about it. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, grout missing in bathroom, broken showerhead, dirty wash towels from previous guest. This place was disgusting. Management explanation of the issues was that the hotel is 24 years old. She was actually proud of that. That’s no excuse for uncleanliness and poor upkeep.

Nice, inexpensive place to say. Rooms are definitely dated, but clean and comfortable. Fireplace in the room is a nice touch!

It was an adequate stay. Nothing fancy but it was clean and the staff were friendly - especially in the breakfast room. Front desk was a little hit or miss in terms of knowledge but welcoming.

The person on duty when I checked in was less than welcoming and not very helpful- more annoyed to be honest. The man, Terry, Tony,... that ran the breakfast in the morning was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and incredibly accommodating!!

Wyndham Should Do BETTER! While I'm sure the cleaning staff do the best they can, the room I stayed in was stinky (so much I had to Lysol spray everything) and musty, like the carpet needed a deep clean. I felt very uncomfortable in the bedding, I could not walk around barefoot and I was sneezing a lot from all the dustiness of the upholstery. The tub floor creaked a lot when standing under the shower. The hotel just needs a Super Deep, deep clean. And sadly, based on how uncomfortable I felt with the cleanliness of the room, I didn't trust that the breakfast was going to be any good, so I can't comment on it. Also, for $262/night, it was a terrible value for the price. Sadly, all the comments I've heard from my fellow High Point Market attendees have been to advise not staying in a hotel in High Point because they are so run down. I'm very sorry I didn't listen to their advice and book in another town or do a vrbo... Lesson learned. Hopefully the hotels in the area will make investments to improve, at the very least, which is to simply deep clean or change the carpets and freshen up all the dingy furnishings & decor.

Bedroom had a shower door beside the bed. And matress was hard. Closet door literally opens into the shower.

Ms. Swanusu (concierge?) was extremely polite, helpful, promptly attending to any of my needs. When a stuck closet door prevented my getting the iron/board, she arrived just minutes after my call to front desk, apologized for the problem, and later brought up a new iron & board. So graciously kind! i recommend.

Because my husband was literally bleeding out of his nose and other hotels were full, I swallowed my pride and begged her forgiveness for calling her rude (even though she was in fact the rudest hotel employee I have EVER come across). After begging her to let us into our room for 10 minutes, she deigned to allow us in (but only after many apologies from me). I have never left anything but good reviews on this or any site. I stay at hotels a lot and you may notice have never written a bad review but this was hands down the WORST service I have ever had. It did not end there: The TV in our room didn't work, the carpet was soaked with water that leaked from the AC, there was only a single outlet between the two beds. I was too afraid to complain to the desk about flooding for fear of being thrown out by this horrible woman.

We like the property for its proximity to the annual Jazz Festival in High Point. The continental breakfast is exactly what we need, but we don't spend time in the room or vicinity. The staff is always efficient, professional but friendly, and knowleagable.

Overall stay was okay. Comfort and condition were horrible. The a/c hardly had enough force to reach to the bed. Minimum temp was held at 60 which was not enough on a hot, muggy, summer night. The window screen was punched out and hanging and the window itself was off the track. Sliding glass doors required a lot of elbow grease to move them. Was not provided a DnD sign so house keeping tried to barge in at 7am. Garbage from the previous visitor was still in the recycle.

The bathroom definitely needs upgrading. Old peeling caulking. No option of streaming but staff was very nice except for the cleaning staff. We had requested a late checkout and she kept trying to come and clean the room regardless.

I expected WAY MORE from a Wyndham hotel! Very disappointed! I booked a 6 night stay and refused to sleep on that bed. Booked another hotel within the hr of checking in to my room. and my expectations were met with at a Comfort Inn. The hotel refused to refund me my money for the entire stay and charged me for the night even tho I did not stay there.

The owner very nice and efficient Man who is always around seeing to the needs of his customers.

While I didn't use it, the fireplace was a beautiful addition to the room. It would be a great place to come for a romantic get away.

The experience was all good.

Hotel was easy enough to get to and find. Woman at desk was very pleasant (we arrived at midnight), and had a speedy check-in. Room was larger than expected, comfortable, and clean. We had the surprise of a double shower in the bathroom which I have not seen in a hotel before. Had many amenities that I wish we had time to use. And a great value.

The staff was extremely pleasant and courteous. It was an overnight stay and it suited me and my daughter's needs for 1 night. The only issue that i had was when it was time to settle down for the night I get in my bed and it was broken. I called the service desk to report this immediately and they were more than willing to rectify and place me in another room but i was tired from driving all day, was already settled in my room, and just wanted to lay down. I reported because i didnt want to be charged for incidentals. Again, the staff was wonderful and it served the purpose for a one night stay.

My husband and son went for a bowling tournament and they said it was an amazing stay!

The complimentary breakfast was but could use some protein options.

The hotel was decent enough and clean. The elevator was extremely warm as well as the third floor walking to the room.

Decent enough for overnight stay, room was nice and clean. Amenities like fitness room, breakfast area etc are very out dated. Was charged three separate times for my stay. No one was present at checkout on the day we departed. Like we waited at least 30 min. No one was at the front desk. Phones just rang and rang and rang.

Outdated elevator

Rooms were very dated. Needs some work. Other areas of hotel have been updated. They may be getting to rooms next. Air condition in elevator and on 2nd floor did not exist. Had to change rooms because air didnt work in first room. Staff was very accomodating.

Room was ok, not very clean, but ok for the price and level. Biggest problem was there was no breakfast that they claimed will be . Couple bananas and hot pockets it’s not continental breakfast! So we payed for service we did not received.

Had to switch rooms on first night of 2 night stay, wardrobe was infested with roaches. Pool was a disgusting shade of green. Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous, but accommodations were awful, outdated, and dirty. My son and I had to beat all of our clothes out for an hour after room change to make sure we had no roaches in our items.

I love that the staff was nice and it was clean quiet.
