Last min our flight was canceled shuttle service was great

The shuttle from the airport was so small and crowded and the driver was not organizing people so there were people whose bags were in the shuttle but they couldn’t get on. We had to wait 2 rounds (30 minutes) and had to fight our way on and stand in the isle. The bathroom had hair in it. The carpet was coming up and the beds were old and sagging. It was quiet though and the desk staff were nice .

The night staff was not very friendly they were rude. Then when you go to book the reservation, they do not tell you that you have to pay for parking just to stay at their hotel and you have to pay for parking if you’re using it while you are staying at the airport. I can understand paying for it if you’re using it for airport parking, but just to stay at the hotel you shouldn’t have to pay to park and they should let you know that when you’re checking in.

We boomed this location based on the indoor/outdoor pool. Hotel had zero pools. The website needs to be updated to reflect.

During the shuttle ride, the driver became involved in a verbal altercation with a passenger for no apparent reason. The interaction was aggressive and uncomfortable, creating an unsettling environment for everyone on board. Several passengers appeared shocked by the driver's behavior, and it left me feeling unsafe. The driver's handling of luggage was also concerning. Bags were thrown rather than carefully loaded and unloaded, and luggage was falling and shifting, nearly hitting me. The driver was unwilling to assist passengers with their bags, which only added to the frustration. After the incident, I filed a complaint with the hotel because I felt the behavior was unprofessional and raised legitimate safety concerns. However, I felt my concerns were dismissed. I was simply told that the matter had been forwarded to Human Resources, and I never received any meaningful follow-up or indication that the issue was being taken seriously. While the hotel itself may have positive qualities, this experience significantly affected my impression of the property. Customer safety and respectful treatment should be priorities, and I was disappointed by both the incident and the hotel's response.

9:15 to 10:15 PM, 6-7-2026. We initially waited 30 minutes for the 1st shuttle, that did not pull up to the designated waiting area (2G), instead he stopped 150 feet short of the waiting area, and only the people that weren’t in the waiting area, or happened to notice the shuttle, were able to board. When the people that were actually in the waiting area realized that the shuttle was down the street from us, it was already full at that point, and it departed without stopping at the waiting area. Hotel said that they would send out a backup shuttle. They did not. The next shuttle came 30 minutes later, and the driver wanted me to load my own luggage behind the van. When we arrived at the hotel, I spoke to the front desk guy and he was of no assistance. He claimed the driver told them he pulled up to the designated area, so he decided to support their driver, who flat out lied, if he indeed told them that. Additionally, no explanation was given as to why the backup van did not come. The young lady at the front desk butted in confrontational and said, that the van could have had other vans in front of him and couldn’t get to the waiting area. There weren’t any vans in the waiting area, and even if it had been, all he had to do was wait until any other van pulled away. She also had the audacity to say, the shuttle is a courtesy, never mind the fact that I paid for a hotel room stay and six nights parking specifically for the shuttle.

Charging for parking is ridiculous. The coffee maker in the room didn’t work. The bathroom door violates all rules of privacy and there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Breakfast costs $27.00 which is insane.

Parking situation is horrible. They tell you parking is $15 a night but it’s actually $16.50 a night. And there are no parking spaces. And there is nowhere to temporarily park while you check into your room. So you have to carry your bags super far from the parking lot if you can actually find a spot. If you’re taking the shuttle from the airport, then yes stay at this hotel. But if you have to use the parking lot, do not use this hotel! You pay for parking and the parking is awful. The parking lot is not even well kept at all. Trash everywhere. Thorny bushes protruding into the parking spots. Not a great experience at all.

Confortable rooms. Signage to arrive at front desk was not clear. There is an arrow with « Lobby » on one side of building, but doors locked and no clear way to arrive at correct location. External signage could be greatly improved, especially if large parts of the property are blocked off for special events.

As an hotel close to IAD, it works, but the current climate of dynamic pricing (aka price gouging) made a $169 a night value a $411 night stay a complete ripoff. As a 30 year member of Hilton Honors, I have to wonder if it's time to change to a different brand.

My room had an excellent view of departing and landing aircraft at the airport. My TV glitched out a bit towards the end of my stay (channel would change by itself, volume decreased to mute, signal would be sometimes lost), but that’s basically my only complaint.

Very old hotel straight from the 80s. Even with an old building, you can have great service and/or a great atmosphere; they failed in both. This felt like a motel, and given it was $200/night, absolutely not worth it.

I was there for one night. I got there late and went to bed as I had a flight. When I woke up in the morning to take a shower the shower did not work at all. The handle was completely busted. I had to leave to catch my flight so couldn’t shower or wait to get it fixed. I was told to sign up for Hilton honors and they’d give me a credit. So turned into a marketing ploy rather then help or any credit or refund. A hotel room has two jobs… sleep and shower.

Everything! The parking was horrible, no spaces and 16.50! The room was old and the bed was old with springs. On top of all of that I went to take a shower before my 8am flight and the water would not come on in the shower. Do not stay here!

This hotel is excellent. Very convenient location to the airport, a 10 minute ride. The buffet breakfast was hearty and offered a multitude of items. The bar has great food for dinner. The room was huge and very clean. Free shuttle bus which was also perfect to grab the Silver Line train from the airport. Best was the warm cookie upon check-in.

I stayed here 4 nights. The first night I had teens in the hallway and slamming doors beyond 10::00 pm. I rented a car for one day and the hotel in this remote are from the airport wanted to charge me $15.00 per night. No decent restaurants nearby.

Bathroom had dried up toothpaste, sheets had black hairs and curtains had blood on them. Very disappointing and really gross, expected more from Doubletree. You also have to pay $16.50 for overnight parking was we were not aware of until we had checked in.

It baffles me that you have to pay to park for a hotel stay that you've purchase a room for. Of course you'll have transportation but be charged 15$ a day to park in the parking lot on the ground. This was not included in the information before booking. Plus a $50 fee for property damage was a little shocking. No option to get around either of these situations.

Everything was great! We had to book this hotel last minute due to flight cancellations-our family was very thankful to be able to find such a close place (to IAD airport) to stay! It was also great to have a free shuttle to/from airport. The rooms were clean and quiet and had toiletries. Perfect for stranded travelers (or anytime)!

Near the airport. Good shuttle service The staff said the WIFI is complimentary. I mean if that’s what you say. If you didn’t have it I’m sure attendance would be down quite a npbit. I had to go to the lobby to finally get a signal to receive it. Then back in the room, it was hit and miss.

Very outdated hotel and rooms. Looked like nothing has been changed since the early 90’s. You have to pay to self park ($11+ per day). And the hotel staff would not even help this older woman dig her car out of 3+ feet of snow and ice. They just gave her a shovel. We would probably not stay again.

Comfortable room with a nice view of the courtyard and a comfy chair to sit and read in. The shuttle was convenient and left for the airport on time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, although not included in the price of the room. There were two different breakfast buffets in two different rooms, one for $23 and the other for $33. This was a little weird. The $23 buffet had everything a person would want. Not sure why some people would choose the more expensive one. I ate dinner in the restaurant, although it was noisy with multiple screens producing discordant sounds that no one was listening to. The Impossible Burger was delicious. As a vegan, however, I would appreciate more plant-based options on the menu, please.

Prior to booking their website showed airport shuttle was included in the price. After waiting for almost an hour for the shuttle they told us they weren’t coming and we had to pay 60 dollars for other transportation, meanwhile every other hotel in the area was running their shuttles.

That I was able to book a room on such short notice. The room is very outdated. The bathroom was dirty - there was hair in the sink and tub. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. There were stains on the covers. I slept on top of the sheets with my travel clothes on.

The venue was nice The staff was not the kindest in the restaurant and didn’t know their own menu. The room was very outdated for the price and I was told a microwave would be placed in my room and when I got there they then told me they don’t have them there because they are a full service hotel. I am pregnant and have issues with my sugar so I was trying to make sure that baby and I were safe throughout the 4 days we were there. Very misleading !

We usually stay at this hotel. This year we had to pay to park, not a big deal but was surprised by this. The room was nice, but it was so dry that I had several nose bleeds when I woke up. Maybe the filter needed changed. ( First world problems.) Staff was friendly and the restaurant was good as usual.

The check-in process was unnecessarily confusing I received an email stating that it would be contact list after registering for a digital key through the app. I never received a digital key. It took over 45 minutes for me to even access the room the signs for the lobby in the parking lot are not well lit. I ended up going through a side door, having to walk all the way around to the lobby and then back to my taxi to grab my bags. I received a follow up email telling me that I could bypass the front desk and go directly to my room when doing so I opened up the app to let me know that the key was not available then I had to go back to the front desk carrying all this luggage there’s no bellhop or valet service to help with the bags then I get to the front desk to rectify the key situation to stand there with three people behind the desk and no one acknowledged or helped me until I had to ask for help while 1 person was working with a difficult customer the night auditor was present and maybe his job is not to assist guest, but they could have directed one of the other associates to help me as the other person was dealing with the more difficult situation. It’s very poor customer service after staying at Hilton Diagonal Mar which was a 10, it led me to book at this hotel I was very disappointed. Felt like a motel 6. Run down everywhere. Room smelled like smoke every time the hvac came on. Uncomfortable bed. Wall paper pealing all throughout the hotel. Leaking windows. Staff tried entering room at 8:30-9 every morning even with the DND tag on the door.

1, Yellow shower water on 19th (took few pictures). I reported to front desk. 45 minutes late, a tech person came. tried a few things, and could not figure out the reason. (when I checked out on 22nd, I asked the front desk again. One lady said the boiler had some issues that day...) 2, On 20th, I saw two yellow and dirty face towels. (did not report). 3, On 21st, my room was not cleaned. (I left the room at 7 am and came back at noon. had 1 and half hour break at room. left @1:30, and back around 7pm). Two days after checking out, I noticed that they charged me $300 for parking, then I called Hilton to find the reason. A man immediately told me that I would be refunded on Monday WITHOUT asking my name, when stayed... then I told him that I wanted to talk with manager. The manager is nice, and she said the SYSTEM had an issue. SYSTEM issue!! that is a good answer. I just ask a simple question: If i did not notice, or did not call you, do you refund me?

When we arrived, the attendant saw we were in our wedding dress and suit, and he upgraded our room, complimentary. The room was beautiful. Everything was lovely! I’d definitely recommend this location to guests coming in from out of town.

When I asked to speak to a manager, they kept insisting they were the manager, which was clearly untrue. I travel frequently and have stayed at many hotels around the world, but I have never encountered such rude and unprofessional behavior. This experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable.

Parking horrible. Had to pay. Other hotels in are do not charge for parking. Have to walk a distance to car. Room was very noisy . Could hear person next door on cell phone talking. Hotel lobby beautiful. Restraunts food and location wonderful. Breakfast buffet nice but yes not free.

Quiet, clean, pleasant. David at the front desk, Odette in the restaurant were especially nice. Very glad to have a bar and restaurant on-site after long flight from Germany. Shuttle was user-friendly and timely. Would definitely stay again.

I didn’t think I would have to pay extra fees for watching a video and inaddition to that the choices of movies was extremely limited. The breakfast was not good. Only the coffee was okay and the orange juice. I left hungry and it wasn’t the quality of a tasty continental breakfast. Plus it is usually included in the price ( especially in these high price hotels) of the room bill. Lessons learned: Not the Hilton again! Sorry

There was dirt all over our room and not to mention underneath the beds. The shower handle was broken and it was difficult to manage it and it lacked sufficient pressure. The breakfast was not worth it. You had two options, buffet or order by the menu. The first morning, we did the buffet, everything had a cardboard tast and it tasted old. We tried everything and nothing was satisfactory (scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bacon, croissants, & danishes). The second morning, we wanted to see what they had in the menu and everything was priced doubled. We decided to just get coffee, bagel toast, and some fruit. We were totally dissapointed of the property.

Easy transportation to and from airport with hotel shuttle. Restaurant and bar on site that is open late with great service. All staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the Bed was comfortable but the hotel is a little dated. Overall good experience.

The folks driving the shuttle buses from IAD to the hotel are rude and constantly arguing with each other. My credit card was repeatedly charged for the hotel room even though I pre-paid through Expedia. Had I not been checking my statement carefully, I would have overpaid by $300+. Next time, I'll go to the Marriott instead.

I loved the entrance. I enjoyed the view of the pond while dining. The hotel was clean and quite and I absolutely enjoyed this. The upscale atmosphere, politness and hands on assitance from.parking to dinning was amazing! I will be back next month🙂

There was no microwave and Fridge in the room. I was told that they do not have those in any of the room. Some of my friends got fridges in the room. I told the front desk that I have insulin and i need a fredge. Her response was “we can keep in here in the office”. My question is if others can get the fridge why couldn’t I have it since she knew I need it. Front desk people were very rude. The bathroom sink was broken. There was water lick on the sink. Both if the beds were very small. It was a twin bed. Not a full size or queen size. Overall our experience was very bad. I would not recommend anyone unless things change.

The rooms were dated. I got an upgraded Jr. King Suite which I hope is an upgraded room but it is not. Decor is clearly outdated. They still had a bathtub and shower curtain.

I stayed in this property more than 10 times. First time I had asked for favor related with parking fee which was totally new for me! However, the guy helping! me was rude and belittled by saying ''only $10''. It was only $10 for Hilton too but they preferred me to have a bad experience.

It was excellent.... just had one hiccup. The floor was not swept in my bathroom and in one of my other rooms where my adult children stayed one of their bathrooms wasn't cleaned properly; the tub, but overall, this was a great place for family. . Very nice property.

Said they had free shuttle… forgot to mention it stops running at 12:45 am!!! Paid for an uber to get to property and had to sit and wait in the lobby for an hour and a half because they could not get the keys to the rooms to work. Said they were fixed and they were not, had to wait for a member of the hotel staff to walk everyone around to their rooms and let them in. Got to the hotel at 1:10 am got in our room finally at 2:50 am.

Tv did not work. One light in bathroom that did not work. All room lights on one switch so I couldn’t leave just a little light on. Nor could I use the bathroom light for that purpose because the vent fan was so incredibly loud and I had to close the door tight to keep the sound contained so I could sleep. The hotel is also just weirdly designed and it’s like a liminal space hell of curved hallways for miles at a time. Will not stay again. It’s a great location and a short shuttle to the airport though, so it still has some advantages.

We were in room 309. The temperature in the room was like being in a refrigerator. Called front desk and a technician came up. I explained the situation to him about not being able to change the thermostat. He told me that he could not do anything about it. I asked for two extra blankets. Will never book at this hotel again. Also, the parking spaces are not numbered which made locating your car difficult.

One minor issue was the light fixture or light bulb in the fixture immediately inside the door was not working. Not a huge problem - although annoying. However, as someone who has managed hotels, this is a simple fix and something that should be getting checked daily wither by maintenance in all rooms being serviced or by the housekeepers as part of their cleaning and servicing process. So a little disappointed as this is a Hilton.

However, two things could be improved: 1. Car Registration: Upon arrival, no one informed me that I needed to register my car via a barcode to avoid towing. I only found out by chance after parking for 24 hours—luckily, my car wasn’t towed. 2. Bathroom Door: The sliding glass door was broken, making it impossible to close. One side had come off the track and was dug onto the carpet, too heavy to move. Since I was traveling with my sister, we managed, but this should be fixed ASAP. I reported it at checkout (room 362). Overall, the stay was pleasant, but these issues should be addressed for a smoother guest experience.

We paid for dinner on a credit card and tip in cash. When we tried to check out at the front desk, the front desk woman told us the $56 dinner came out of our $50 security deposit. We showed her the receipt that we paid and asked her to correct it. She said she could not, so we asked her to contact someone in the restaurant like a restaurant manager and have them correct it and she said no one is here. we asked her if she would check but she said no so we literally walked 10 steps into the restaurant and spoke to the manager who was able to come out to the desk andcorrected it. She wouldn't even pick up the phone and try to correct it herself!
