The only thing didn't like was the early check in fee. After flying in, really do want to go to room. It was ready, but charged 40$. Didn't like that. Everything else was great!!!

Room was neat & clean, furnished with numerous amenities (soaps, shampoo, body wash, razor, shave cream and more) whick wr appreciated and saw as very thoughtful. The bed was comfortable. No pool or exercise room but we were only staying one night

we made a last minute reservation and got a room 50 feet from the sand . it was really inexpensive . 1/3 the price of the closest rate . the desk employee went out of his way to help me park my oversized truck . even if other options were available , i would stay here again 100 times for the money and location ...nothing

The room was spacious and comfortable, everything was super clean and there were excellent amenities in the room, including beach towels, coffee, a fridge and microwave. The location was 10/10, a few steps from the beach and despite being just minutes walk from the main hub of bars and restaurants it was very quiet at night. Also the free parking in a covered lot was a huge perk. We loved our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer! Nothing ☺️

The views were excellent and we were very close to the beach. Pleasant outlook. Room was large and had everything we could have needed. Was okay for a 1 or 2 night stay. The bathtub had a horrible mouldy/scaly plug hole. It was quite off putting. I had to ask for a bathplug. And the parking on site was meant to be free which is was. Unfortunately there were no a available spots when we arrived and the staff member told me that there would be. When we arrived back after dinner there were cars in the actual driveway and we had to park in the street and pay $38USD. We were not happy about this. That converted to over $50 for us

The room was beautiful and super spacious, has extra towels, they also provide little essentials, room had a smart tv! And right next to the beach absolutely amazing. A bit pricey buhh i definitely recommend it?

This was the second time staying at this property. Everything is great about the location, rooms, and cleanliness. They do a great job.

The hotel is conveniently located close to everything, with parking included. The best part is the proximity to the beach. The owners are very accommodating. We always stay here when we go to Hermosa Beach.

The room was very nice and I was especially impressed with the good quality beds and linens as well as lots of nice touches like a fridge, beach towels, Keurig style coffee, and water. The staff was helpful and nice. The location is beautiful- just steps from the beach. The parking is a bit tight but the staff made it work out with no issues. Thank you!

Carpet is a bit old and feels not quite damp but also not totally dry. What’s the word… humid, maybe? Feet feels dirty when walking barefoot inside the room.

The location is just perfect half block from the beach. The staff super nice, the place is clean its a great place to sleep and spend the day at the beach, its not hotel where you hang around since it does not have a gym or pool but I have no complains we enjoyed our stay

The room was a good size and very clean! It also had a huge TV!! I really loved that! Everything is walking distance. My boyfriend and I walked to the beach that was inches away. If you love sushi and ramen there was a restaurant that was less than a 5 min walk named Japonica that was so delicious! We will definitely be coming back and staying at this hotel! :) BOOK IT!!

Can't beat the locations for access to beach and restaurants, also a mini market close. Having an extra sink outside the bathroom, as well as a mininfridge, coffee and microwave are great for families. We had a balcony facing the ocean for amazing susnset views! Its an older hotel, but has been updated and felt clean and modern. Also, parking garage is nice feature.

The room's interior was great, nice and clean. There was a large balcony that had about 10 feet of ocean views, accompanied by a nice outdoor chair and small table set. The room was a clean modern theme. I could hear the neighbors above walking about and I could hear them talking. They quieted down in the evening. I had no problems sleeping.

We love staying at Grandview Inn. The location is amazing, the rooms super clean and modern (ours had a giant TV) and the friendliest staff. We brought out bikes and for a small fee the locked them up in storage where we could plug them in. So attentive to everything we needed. We used to stay exclusively at Beach House Hermosa ( which may have better views if your want to pay for Ocean front rooms) but will stay at Grandview again and again since it’s right across the street at about half the price.

There is a reason the Grandview has become our go-to on our beach getaway trips. This independently run hotel combines a fantastic location -- a minute from the sand, and one of the best beaches in Southern California, in the heart of Hermosa Beach and all it has to offer -- with great service and immaculate, well-equipped rooms. It's right around the corner from a half-dozen great restaurants, and a block from the Hermosa Pier. It's only a few blocks from the famous Strand, and Hermosa Cylcery (a block away) rents pedal as well as e-bikes that you can ride all the way to Venice, if you choose. Sea birds abound, and you can actually hear the waves from your room at night. The staff is friend and efficient. There is nothing we don't like about this hotel, including a very reasonable room rate. Great value all around, can't say enough good things

We got there at 2pm and no one was at the front desk. Waited and wasted time for someone to come. I pressed the ringer bell, then called them on my cell phone to come and check me in.

Was here for my honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. staff was super nice and so was house keeping. beach is literally a few steps away! will definitely be staying here again when we go back to hermosa beach!

The room was nice and clean.. I did not like that I had to pay $25.00 extra for my parking.

Staff was helpful and courteous. The mattresses of the pullout couch in our room was very dirty with stains but they Immediately brought up a roll away. I would describe this hotel as old and worn but cared for. Great location and quiet.

It annoyed me that the parking wasn't always available. The front desk was spotty when it came to availability. I had asked for new sheets because I found a stain on mine, and though they said they would take care of it, they did not. I felt they nickle and dimed their pricing (including a $25 fee to check in early), but that the amenities didn't always live up to the extra pricing, and I couldn't always trust the word of the front desk.

Everything about Grandview Inn was "Grand!" The room was exceptionally clean and spacious, the bed so comfortable, the view of the ocean from our balcony was so relaxing. We were right on the Strand and many restaurants and stores were within walking distance, however it was peaceful and quiet. This hotel, most importantly, offered FREE PARKING (all others costs between $20-30 for parking.) There was absolutely nothing we didn't love about this place!

I would not stay there again. Hard bed. Nice but difficult to work with staff. Felt cheap given the price. Tried to pay for and book a room for a friend and they would not work with me about having a credit card at check in even though I would pay for everything beforehand.

Always enjoy our hermosa trips staying at the Grandview inn. Steps from the beach and restaurants are a plus. It’s not a high end hotel, but it’s clean, comfortable, and with parking included, it’s one we always return to.

The location is wonderful, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. The hotel itself is pretty plain without much for amenities (no gym, pool, food, etc.) and it’s not well put together, aesthetically. It was clean, well kept, and quiet, so no functional complaints; just not as nice as I was expecting from reading other reviews.

Check in process was quick and easy, and he even found a luggage scale for me immediately! Would absolutely recommend, everything is fantastic and it’s just a few hundred feet to the ocean.

I suspect it's the manager/owners family living there? Not sure. Id probably stay there again but would ask for a top floor room.

This was a very comfortable hotel, within sevonds of the beach and a very short walk to the pier and main eateries. Hermosa beach is gorgeous and v close to LAX.

Room did not have balcony as advertised, and it was noisy due to some parties nearby. Overall good place to stay and decent value.

I was there for a work trip, stayed for two nights. I had to work in my room which was difficult to because the guests across from me were loud throughout the day. They were up early and a few kids would constantly run up and down the hallway and hit my door. I wish I asked for a quiet room. Overall, it was ok. The location was great!

Great location, clean, soo close to the beach, and they have everything you need in the room. Even larger fridge with freezer than what you find in hotels. Room was updated and modern. It was very clean and just as advertised. Extra toiletries (toothbrushes, paste, makeup remover packets, etc.) were provided in room, along with a couple of water bottles. Front desk was courteous and helpful. Garage parking was available. Beach was just a few steps away. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards were available to rent for a small fee. Beach towels were provided in room. Lots of restaurants and cute shops just a block away, with a convenience store across the street. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay here in the future.

The staff at check in is very nice and helpful. The property is right next to the beach and it was nice to walk up to the pier and on the trail along the beach. I will choose this hotel next time visiting LA.

The location of the property is great. It is right by the beach and the main street of Hermosa Beach. I found the hotel itself had a cleaning supply smell that was making me sick to my stomach and the room was not well lit. I also wanted to leave my bag with the concierge so I could explore a bit before my flight home and the concierge was no where to be found. I tried calling the number left there and waited 20 minutes and still no one.

Cute little hotel similar to hotels on Catalina Island or Solvang. Little touches like old school hotels are nice to see. Shower caps, toothbrushes, lots of water not 15 bucks a bottle. Great location and great views of the sunset. The restaurant next door isn’t great to look at, just book a ocean view.

We had a very comfortable 2 night stay while visiting family in the area. .the bed was very comfortable and although I found the pillow too firm the housekeeping woman found me another one that was perfect. Great shower, larger room than I expected, in a perfect area of Hermosa Beach.There is a little grocery store across the street for snacks.

We stayed at Grandview inn many times, its a small cozy inn, 1 minute away from the beach, 3 minutes from restaurants, bars, coffe shops and stores. Easy to book, has parking and this is a favorite that we will be going back for sure regularly to enjoy the beach.

I have stayed here before several times and liked it, but this time the AC was broken and they did nothing to fix it and didn't change our room and I could barely sleep it was so hot. So we left the slider open for air, but this was a slight security risk and that made me nervous. Very poor night's sleep..

Our stay couldn’t be faulted. The location is excellent and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were a good size and our balcony gave us a great view of the beach and sunset. The only thing I could fault was the communication before our stay.

A good place to stay if you just want a basic room for sleeping and be at a good location near the beach. Quite clean, spacious, and a deck that for us had a partial ocean view. Easy, free parking, though some beachgoers parked there, so it filled up. No regular attendee at front desk. Must use phone. Next time, we'll likely pay more and stay across the street at Beach House.

Hotel is located very close to the beach as well as bars and restaurants. My only suggestion is that the front desk is never occupied. When I checked in nobody there, when I checked out nobody there and even when I had questions during my stay, wait for it, nobody there. They have a phone that you need to dial, when I checked in they answered but never the other times I went to the desk.
