Loved staying here. Beach front and next to the pier. Didn't have to drive anywhere. It was a perfect spot. Loved being able to be right on the beach and also watch the sunset from our balcony each night. The continental breakfast was great too.

The hotel is in the perfect location, by the beach and by restaurants. The staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful. The valet service attendants were great. They placed all my luggage in my room and picked it up and placed it in the car when I was ready to go. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Nice and cozy, right by the beach with a great view. The north side is a perfect trade-off between having a nice view and staying quiet. The strand view rooms on the first floor look really bad IMO. You're basically on the strand which is a very crowded and noisy area. The balcony there is almost the same as putting a chair right on the Strand sidewalk. There is zero privacy. I highly recommend anyone booking that to ensure at least a second floor room, but preferably a third floor one. The breakfast was really underwhelming given the price of the room. Only sweet snacks, no proper hot food, not even an omelette.

This hotel was the perfect beach getaway. The location was great and the room had everything you could want and then some.

Great vibe at this hotel on the beach. Our room had a view of the park next door and beach from the large balcony. Very nice layout in the room which included 2 TV's, mini fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Ideal location to hang at the beach and visit all of the local hops, bars, restaurants, etc. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.

You can park your car when you arrive and honestly never need it again during your stay. Everything is within walking distance, and you can easily bike or walk to Redondo Beach. The hotel was super clean, breakfast was great, and the strawberry scones were amazing!

This was an amazing experience. We were able to check in 2 hours early, staff was so friendly and offered dinner recommendations. The valet service from pull up to getting luggage to our room was quick and efficient.

unfortunately my room was over the outdoor patio and every morning at 6am staff dragged out all the patio furniture waking the family up.

The beach view is amazing! The staff are really friendly and helpful! The housekeeping was a little irregular. It seems as though I got different toiletries every day, which was a little odd. The room smelled some too. I think the carpets could use a good cleaning to get rid of that. Otherwise, it was a great room and location. Would stay here again!

We had a 1st floor room but looked out to the park and the boardwalk and could see a bit of the ocean. It was great and a beautiful northern breeze!

Great location and a very nice place to stay

The location is incredible, right on the strand in front of Hermosa beach and all its amenities. The room is fully equipped with a hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge and, most importantly, it actually has cutlery and plates. Bed is nice and comfortable. The jacuzzi is one of the best I've ever been in. The shower could be more powerful, but this obviously didn't impact the stay. Also, the shutters, as lovely as they are, aren't blackout. So for people that enjoy complete darkness, you won't get that.

The Beach House at Hermosa Beach was a is beautiful. Our room, on the third floor of the “East building,” felt like a beach cottage, with a simple but lovely layout including a deep tub, small kitchenette, fireplace and view of the beach from the sitting room and the balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable. I loved getting up early and grabbing free freshly made coffee to bring back to our room. We didn’t eat the continental breakfast that was available but it looked fine. The coffee was amazing. The staff was excellent; we enjoyed chatting with the very friendly valets, who would have our car waiting and the front desk folks were very responsive and helpful. We would love to return.

This is the best place to stay to bring an ebike because they have a storage cage right in their valet covered parking lot

The room was very nice, but there were a few issues. They described the room as ocean view, but it's really not. You can only see the ocean on an angle from the deck. You really can't see it from the room. Also, although they did disclose it on their website that I failed to see, they charge $46 a day for valet only parking. Maybe if they skipped the valet and let people park themselves they could have a more reasonable charge.

Our room was great . We used the fireplace at night due to the chill and it was wonderful. The hotel is in a great location on the Strand and walking distance to many good restaurants.

The hotel has beach towels, chairs, and even a big chest full of shovels, toys, and buckets. The beach was perfect- waves just right for us and our two young children (3, almost 6). We were there late December 2025 and all went in the water. Location was ideal- walking distance to many different restaurants and a little shopping, and even next to a bike rental shop which was fantastic! If we hadn't rained our last day, we wouldn't have left. We will return! Would absolutely stay here again.

We fly between Australia and Canada each year, stopping in South Bay. We generally stay around Redondo, however with our 5mth old we wanted to stay closer to the beach and eateries. The Beach House Hotel is such an epic hotel, friendly staff, great location, clean and great room amenities. We have just booked for our return flight to Australia in January.

Stayed here many times. Balcony overlooking Hermosa Beach is the big draw. Can see Catalina Island to the south and Malibu coast to the northwest. Wonderful dining options by Hermosa Beach pier. Love walking and biking the strand walkway along the beach.

My stay was overall great. Room was clean. Distance to beach was great. The cleaning staff and valet were great. Only thing i was disappointed with was being told my one of the girls at the front desk, that the original room I had chosen was actually not available to third party companies. A disappointing experience, did not see this on the hotels website nor on hotels.com

Hotel was excellent, highly recommend, the only thing I didn’t Iike was that I paid a lot more for a room with a view and I ended up getting a room all the way in the back that had a partial view which cost a lot less

Some beachfront hotels we’ve stayed at are older and a bit dated/rundown. Not this one - modern and very comfortable. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and were super happy with our stay! Great location! Great staff from the check in attendant to the bellman to the breakfast attendants and room attendant. We will be back again!

We’ve stayed here for years. But this trip was not the best experience. Valet friendly but $46 a night for parking. Front desk not as friendly as in past years. Room described as “partial ocean view” but it’s a view of a road and shops.(see photo) Room above us was loud all day and evening. And again at 6am. Couldn’t sleep because at 2am people were talking and laughing on the sidewalk outside our room. Beach was overcrowded. And loud large gathering blasting music. Not planning to stay here again.

Convenience was key

I was initially a little nervous about the bed since I didn’t see many reviews mentioning it, but wow I was pleasantly surprised! The bed was incredibly comfortable from the pillows to those clean the bed was, it was also very cozy with body-temperature bedding. I honestly didn’t want to get out of bed! I also loved the little touches like the complimentary water bottles (I’m super picky about my water and this was perfect!) and the water pressure and temperature were amazing, perfect for anyone who loves hot showers. What really stood out was how quiet it was in the morning. I expected some street noise, but it was peaceful and made my stay that much more enjoyable. Would absolutely stay here again!

We were in town for volleyball and I almost booked a room in Redonda but the extra money was 100% worth it. The location is amazing, the staff is excellent and the rooms are spacious! We also loved Hermosa Beach! It’s such a cute little town out of the hustle and bustle of LA.

The Beach House is the perfect getaway. Park the car, check in and just relax. The staff makes it fun. Everything is in walking distance, with the Beach a few feet away from the Hotel. Ocean View or Front, every room offers a quiet oasis to pamper yourself. It is my favorite Beach Area Hotel.

Had a relaxing evening and had a beautiful morning view of the ocean. Staff there are honest and kind. I forgot my new apple watch in my robe in the room and had already driven 4 hours away. When I called, Davina was so kind. She said that the staff had found it and left it at the front desk. God is so good and there are honest people that work there too! I got my watch shipped to me and was very impressed with how everything turned out!

We stayed in the strand view room with a great view of the ocean, steps from the sand and people watching from our patio. Minutes to restaurants and shops. Although I am from Hermosa (now in Colorado) I always wondered what it looked like inside the hotel. Now I know and now this will be our go to stay when back in Cali.

Loved the hotel! The room was clean with nice sized balcony overlooking the strand and the beach. Tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance. All of the staff were very friendly and said hello in the hallways. Valet was convenient. Couldnt recommend more

The positive: The valet is run very well, very professional. The opportunities: The front desk guest service employees are nice but the answers are always NO. This is a culture that has continued to get worse not better the last few years. We are unfortunately looking for other places to stay when we visit. This property has a great location but guest service is lacking. I will be happy to give specific details if someone wants to contact me.

We stayed in a Strand room. These are on the ground floor. If I return I would opt to stay on the 2nd floor or 3rd floor to get an unobstructed view of the ocean. The Strand rooms look onto an approx 30” cement wall, when seating on the balcony the cement wall obstructs the ocean view.

Disliked: refused even 15 minutes later checkout - when you pay about $400 a night that seems, oh, just a bit unreasonable. Disliked: the "jacuzzi". Did not bother - it is a run down shack of a thing at the end of the hall that I assume is clean but aesthetically it is ancient Disliked: the "gym" about the size of a living room - just enough to claim they have a gym area - nothing more Disliked: awoken by sounds of walking on the floor upstairs (we were on floor 2). Disliked: decided not to drive due to the $44 Valet only parking (before tip). Glad I asked in advance. Disliked: I list this last as it is not really different than what is listed: but for this class of lodging this seems needlessly cheap - the continental breakfast - lacking as all continental breakfasts tend to be - just enough - no hot food unless you count toast - if you like plastic bowls of Cinnamon Toast Crunch this is your kind of breakfast.

***WARNING FOR TRAVELERS WHO LIKE TO RELAX*** Should be a 5* place, but their policies are horrific. Want a late checkout? They expect you to wake up at 7am the day of checkout to ask! The whole point of late checkout is to relax, not set your alarm. We called right at 7am because it’s first come, first serve, and they “had a full booking and couldn’t accommodate”. Kinda wild they clean all 90 rooms at the exact same time that a few rooms can’t stay an extra hour or so. We were also prepared to pay for late checkout, but they did not care. Also, if they had full bookings how would they not know that the night before when I asked about the possibility? After I checked their booking and they had plenty of rooms available. They failed us on this visit and for those reasons we would never come back. Too many other better (and cheaper) options on the coast that will take care of their guests.

The beach house is a beautiful upscale hotel right on the beach in Hermosa. Easily walkable to Manhatten or Redondo beach. The rooms are large and very well appointed. We loved having the fireplace on and watching the sunset. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Very nice place!

My husband and I are always looking for a weekend getaway to unwind and relax, now that we found this hotel, we felt in love with everything, the staff is courteous and helpful, the room was clean and all the amenities we needed were in it, we really had a great time and is now our favorite place to a quick getaway.

The room layout and facilites were outstanding, functioning like a mini apartment.

One of the few ocean front hotels on Hermosa Beach. Next time would request Ocean "Front" instead of "view" as you had to sit on the balcony to see the ocean and it was too cold. So our view was the restaurant across the street. Also the Jacuzzi was in another building so we didn't get to use it either as we didn't want to walk outside all wet! The room was very nice, stocked with some dishes, wine glasses, utensils. Had trouble opening and closing the sofa bed, but someone came to assist immediately. Very good service. Loved the vibe in the area.

I gave this hotel a 5 star rating because the staff is great, the location is amazing, the hotel was neat and clean. My slight hesitation was that we were on the ground level and when we checked into the hotel and tried to go out on our beachfront balcony, there were two homeless men yelling and fighting. That is NOT the hotel's fault but it gave me pause because I wonder if a vagrant could break through the glass but maybe the hotel has security patrolling or surveillance. I never asked. Otherwise cute and charming.

We loved the fireplace and a little mini kitchen. Although we didn’t have a chance to use it. The patio was great spot to have our morning coffee before heading out. Breakfast was very nice as well. The staff, Jerry and John at check-in were excellent. We were in a hurry to try to catch our nieces surf competition. So they got us situated in record time. I’d definitely come back again and again!

Excellent location , very clean rooms although the beach front rooms are noisy due to Strand walkers and some annoying sand truck which starts working 6am for few hours . Great restaurants nearby , try palmilla cocina y tequila very nice and great food 3 min walk to hotel

Rooms are all exactly the same. Tight for a family of 5 with an infant crib, but we made it work. Not many options for placing the crib in the room.

Perfect beachfront location! While the hotel was close to tons of restaurants, our room was beautifully quiet. The in-room refrigerator and teakettle and complimentary breakfast were great amenities for our family, and, as a fitful sleeper, I found the beds really, really comfortable.

This hotel is amazing in every way. Just 300 feet from the major restaurants and shops, beach was less than 100 yards from our room. Staff was so friendly. Room was spacious, clean , had shower & large soaking tub , and a fireplace in the room to light and watch the sunset . We will be back for sure !!
