Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its modern design, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the limited breakfast options and issues with certain amenities.
- Modern and clean hotel
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Limited breakfast options

Garbage left overnight and spilled food laying around hot tub.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The A frame cottage was clean and we loved the swing on the balcony. The restaurant food was delicious and service was excellent. The Swimming pool & hot tub was clean and nicely decorated. Hiking trails on the property. A great location and great accommodations. Highly recommend staying here
- 2/5
No staff at the front desk/lobby when we attempted to check in nor when we left in the morning (8:30). No way to get into the room because we later were told that "when you book with Expedia they dont send a "code to your room" which we didnt learn until we stood on a very dark stoop trying to get in. We eventually got into the building but then couldnt get into our room. Eventally we called the emergency number and we were given a code to get in.
- 4/5
I didn't realize this place has a "virtual" lobby. No actual front desk. Never saw a staff member, although they were available by phone when we needed the entrance code and a hair dryer. Both times we went out to the hot tub there were a group of kids in it. The lighting of the properties rock driveway is terrible at night. Our room wasn't cleaned for our entire stay. The restaurant and bar weren't open the entire stay either.
- 4.5/5
Lots of stairs.
- 5/5
It was nice and I would do it again.
- 3/5
Clean room. Water was shut down in the morning and we did not have running water in the cabin. I would have appreciated it if they’ve notified me with this matter.
- 4/5
The outside hot tub was definitely the highlight of our stay. We stayed with our 2 boys. They loved the pool too.
- 2.5/5
Nice and luxury just didn't have water The water was turn off in I didn't know to after I pad my money to stay.m, then my cabin lights didn't work so they moved us next door. I lost my keys for hours before checkout in they were at the first cabin. Terrible experience I will never come back.
- 4/5
Very serene, and we loved the bar, food, hot tub, and fire pit. Gravel drive wasn’t motorcycle friendly, and limited parking at the cabins.
- 5/5
Great Spa and atmosphere!
- 5/5
It was the perfect stay for me! Cozy, comfortable and clean! The views were gorgeous. Staff helpful! I wouldn’t mind going back there again and taking my family! Loved my experience
- 4/5
Room was nice but had to carry the bags 100 yards from parking lot and down and back up 20 plus stairs. Skip the studio if you are old like me. We just wanted a place for the night. We did not take advantage of the views or amenities. Seems like more of a destination place and not people needing a place for a night.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my cabin-like room and its beautiful setting. The king sized bed was comfortable as can be. The ac worked great. I plan to stay here again.
- 5/5
Property is continuously being improved, this was our third time there since April 2025. The nature trail is much more defined. Can’t beat the giant 24/7 hot tub! Very peaceful and private. Will definitely return
- 5/5
Love this place highly recommend
- 2/5
The website is deceptive. The two hot tubs were not being heated Monday through Friday. The room stayed 75 degrees, despite turning the temperature down to 64 on the ancient HVAC unit in the room. Even opening the window, the room stayed hot. The property was staff less. So, no option of a speedy fix. For a spa, it’s not comfortable
- 1/5
This place is nothing as advertised except it's location. The owner is delusional and will be absolutely no help.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our girls weekend at Skylaranna, we would have enjoyed the bar or restaurant being open after our drive up but unfortunately it was not yet open for the season. I see so much potential for this beautiful property and can't wait to see how it evolves! The staff was lovely and welcoming and the spa was superior in all ways. We will definitely return.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and comfortable. Communication was great and easy to get checked in.
- 5/5
This property is situated in an exceptional location with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The amenities offered are of high quality, including a well-equipped fitness center, swimming pool, and communal lounge. The units are thoroughly stocked with modern appliances, kitchenware, and comfortable furnishings to ensure a convenient and enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Something else
- 2/5
The hot tub had green mode in it. The cabin pots were stretched up. The cabin bathroom had black mold in the corner near the bathroom. I liked the fire pit.
- 4/5
Clean cabin and good amenities.
- 4/5
Small and quaint! Room was clean and the spa on site was really nice The room was NOT mountain view as advertised in the ad due to the tree coverage in summer! Bar/restaurant seemed to struggle with staff and service
- 3/5
The property was great, hot tub and pool were amazing. We stayed in room 303 and the ac was horrible. Stayed at 73 all night and it was 56 degrees outside. They had 4 fans in the closet so I assume they know that the ac sucks.. everything was perfect except that but that is a big one for me! I can’t sleep hot
- 3/5
Breakfast not offered.grounds were beautiful. Mixed use venue.not sure where the property is headed in the future.
- 5/5
Cute cabin. Comfortable. Pet friendly Nothing

I came to Skylarana on a solo two day getaway to relax and have some down time to myself because I have been a full-time caregiver for a while. The studio room was really nice and updated however the heating unit didn't keep whole room warm but that was resolved by a lady on staff offering a space heater which was perfect and kept the room very warm. The internet was shoty the whole time I was there and I couldn't enjoy watching TV because it was continually going in and out but there were heavy winds while I was there and I'm sure that's the reason for the internet issues, it was just disappointing because watching TV is a way for me to relax. Another way that I planned to relax was getting a massage at the spa and I chose to do the 90-minute swedish massage because I felt that deserved it however I don't feel like it was worth what I paid. I was expecting it to be exceptional but it wasn't and that was disappointing. Although the trip wasn't as relaxing and didn't go exactly as I expected, I would definitely try it again but during warmer weather because the room was really nice (but I would suggest putting a full length mirror in the studio room as there wasn't one) and I know that there would be some fun things to do. Also there was a lady who worked there and helped me a couple of times, I don't know if she was the manager or some other staff but she was very friendly and accommodating when I needed assistance and I appreciated her.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! Fast resolution to any problem or mishap, with very kind and sincere generosity. We had a wonderful stay and loved the rooms view that we had. Perfect stay!
- 3/5
apart from that everything was great
- 3/5
Convenient to many towns. Room was clean and warm. Bed was comfy. Kitchenette lacked a sink, description said there was a toaster and there was not one. Coffeemaker didn’t work right. Sink plug was broken and had to put a spoon in it to keep it open. Management did not get back to us about fixing it.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was amazing! Minor glitch with the heating system on the wall that didn’t work. The owner came in the next day and shared that there was a remote control for a new wall unit which we were unaware of. All in all is was a great stay!
- 5/5
Nice, clean environment. Friendly staff.
- 1/5
Room: The split a/c unit was set to heat only, something that the resort controls remotely during winter months, but do not warn the customer beforehand. The “cottage”, a maybe 15’x 15’ foot space, was incredibly warm resulting in us have to call the emergency after hours number at 1:00 am after multiple attempts to change the heat setting (that we could not manage to get below 85 degrees) to cool with the given remote.
- 5/5
Even though I only stayed for one night, I really enjoyed it it’s a quiet and convenient escape from the city. I’d definitely stay again!
- 5/5
The restaurant and bar were excellent! They advised on what to order and we met the chef two of the nights. Cocktails by Ashley were delicious and well priced. Very relaxing atmosphere. The room was small but very comfortable bed and everything else was clean.
- 2/5
Room was cold-rust on the curtain rods. We needed heaters for the bathroom. We booked this due to we had been there before. WE WILL NOT RETURN.
- 3.5/5
Clean room. Beautiful rolling hills setting, perfect for young people and weddings. Easy access to points of interest. Best for warmer seasons. Not suitable for senior citizens due to awkward steps and stairs to all rooms and dining facilities. Poor parking areas for cabins and studios.
- 5/5
Clean room, great forest view and quiet deck
- 4/5
Great restaurant. Clean rooms with great views!
- 4/5
Location, the view, would stay here again Had dinner there the first night was excellent. Celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary . Enjoyable That there was no bathroom upstairs. And there needs to be some form of curtains on the window in the bathroom since it is right up front in the cabin . We could tell they were still cleaning up from the storms. Which is understandable. ♥️
- 5/5
This was a beautiful mountain setting, with cute A-frame cottages. The huge king size bed seemed extremely comfortable, but the secondary pulled out couch was awkward and uneven. However, the room was clean and had what was necessary.
- 5/5
Clean. Private. Family upstairs was load walking
- 2/5
Honestly decent, just wasn’t what i was expected the pictures definitely give off a different vibe. Hot tub none existent doesn’t really give resort vibes but decent
- 3.5/5
Our room was technically in the basement. The restaurant was directly over us and there was so much noise we couldn't rest till they closed and was cleaned up. We also had an adjoining room and could hear everything the other couple was saying and doing.
- 1.5/5
Nice location, corn hole boards and a nice fire pit out back Room was not clean, very dusty, cobwebs everywhere, pink soap scum in shower and jacuzzi tub and only some of the jets worked. bed was very hard, pillows were flat. This was advertised as a luxury room. The only luxury was the toilet that the lid automatically raised when you walked in the bathroom. Light flash and won't stay on. The entire place smells like fabuloso, the room was so bad we had to open the windows. I had 4 and only 2 opened and only 1 had a screen. Then to top it all off the air does not work. We've had in on 65 since we walked in the room and it never got below 72 until late in the night when we reopened the windows and turned the fan on.
- 5/5
Staff was very welcoming of pets, place was very clean, easy checkin/checkout. There pool and hot tub are open 24 hrs!
- 4/5
Awesome

When we first arrived at our premium cabin, it hadn’t been cleaned at all — it was disgusting. We were moved to another cabin, but it wasn’t the one I paid for. My fiancé and I were extremely disappointed with how this was handled. They don’t offer refunds or vouchers, which is unacceptable given the situation. The second cabin was also dirty — hairballs on the floor, dead bugs, boogers on the walls, and a spiral staircase missing bolts, making it unsafe. We ended up leaving early. We tried to contact the owner several times with no response. It’s truly upsetting — this place used to be beautiful. We came here for our first trip together two years ago, but after this experience, we’ll never be back. Very disappointed and would not recommend this property to anyone.
- 5/5
We were here for a friend’s wedding, and it was absolutely magical. The setting was unforgettable, and every detail was handled flawlessly. The food was top-notch, the staff were friendly and professional, and you could tell the team genuinely cared about making everything perfect. One of my favorite moments was sitting by the fire after the event, enjoying the mountain air and watching the stars with a glass of wine. It felt like something out of a movie. I had no idea what to expect when I booked, and honestly, I never saw any of the negative reviews some people mentioned. My experience was nothing like that if anything, it went way above and beyond. I even got to meet the owners and the actual SKYLARANNA herself, which made it all the more memorable. Highly recommend I’ll definitely be back!
- 2/5
They are directly under the flight path to Asheville Airport- noisy. Pet friendly but not all the waste receptacles were emptied on a regular basis. The room was never cleaned. Water pressure in bath sink was weak and it dripped. Kitchen faucet leaked from the base. Spiral stair case is a bit wobbly: hard w/children NOTE bedroom upstairs- bathroom downstairs.
- 4/5
Quiet, close to I-26, and nice outdoor restaurant on premises with good food.
- 4/5
We absolutely loved the place. Only thing i would change is the fact there is a mat over the bathtub in cabin 2D and it seems to be because there is a hole in the bathtub. Also i would definitely throw in a full length mirror in the room.
- 2.5/5
Close proximity to our work. The staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed special Thank you to Will & Chelsea. She even organized to get my laundry done.? and kept us well supplied With clean towels. Loved The vast gardens & thank you for the tomatoes . This property did not work so well for us because we were there for a whole week. we had no place to hang our clothes no hangers or closet. nowhere to put our luggage except on the couch and then there was no place to sit to watch TV because you could not see it from the bed. The room is divided into tow by a step and I had to be extra careful, not falling off it in the night . We had some issues with the fridge making a rattling sound at night so we had to unplug it .they replaced it the next day. ( the fridge that is) also some of the nights we had people sleeping upstairs and it felt very loud. every time they moved around, we could hear them even at night. We had breakfast at the restaurant Saturday morning with our guest. We ordered the poached eggs. Our eggs were overdone, so I had to send mine back, to get re done.but my husband and our guest did not want to wait for them to redo it.The biscuit was also soggy.I hope the evening chef was better.
- 2.5/5
Not much. Black algae in pool. Lack of communication at check in
- 4.5/5
The atmosphere was great. Chelsie was a lot of help when it came time for check in. The parking wasn't that great for cabins. We had our elderly mother with us who has some trouble walking and we had to park up the hill. Plus someone blocked the road so we couldn't drive in front to pick her up
- 3/5
Two dirty towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door. No soap at the bathroom sinks. Room smell... The smell of Fabreeze hits you in the face as soon as we walked in the room and the bed did not look neat. Very disappointed in our stay. I would have spoke with staff, but there is NO staff! It is all contactless entry and exit. Never saw one person except the bartender. The overall vibe of the property was just like no one cared. Very sad for what could be a really cool place to stay.
- 1/5
We stopped there with my kids in our way to Myrtle Beach to rest up and spend the night, in the description it say there were restaurants and room services we went there and no check in person available no food no room service, the pool is dirty the room is the worst room number 103 it’s like a basement you CANNOT sleep due to the AC by the little window making the whole room vibrate we didn’t sleep not for two minutes, I would not stay there again even if they were going to pay me.
- 5/5
Loved the resort. Easy check in. Location was perfect. Quiet and relaxing.
- 5/5
GREAT VALUE!

This is so Sad as we have stayed here before but there must be some accountability to call yourself a “Resort”. In 4 days staying here with a big price tag it stressed me out. It’s so run down and dirty in pool / spa area. Hot tub didn’t even work one whole day. The pool was CLOUDY the entire time. There is zero monitoring only by the owner sometimes. Bar was never open. One umbrella sat upside down from AM to PM before he picked it up. We even cleaned up the diarrhea by a child by spa in the late pm because we knew no one else would. Not acceptable! Pots around pool are only weeds. So sad. Could be so Beautiful if they took care. Furniture is disgusting dirty and not even white or clean. No cushions. We had the big townhouse style cabin- - very nice but no details cared about -many spots were spackled and cracked no paint. There is sign on door for a 250.00 cleaning fee? we weren’t charged but that was unprofessional. There is a washer but it doesn’t work. I even bought laundry soap to wash the few towels they gave us but discovered that in night. There’s a sign 10 to use but they don’t return messages so who knows- nickel and dime for a “resort”.We were scared to try the restaurant after the awful state of pool but we did and can say that was excellent. Server was wonderful and food was clean and beautiful view. Also, make sure you bring toilet paper - soap for kitchen etc etc as they have one roll only. No service no follow up . No front desk
- 3/5
Wanted a quiet peaceful getaway with a beautiful view. Was staying as a couple that just needed to get away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful view. Confirmed with the person who called me that there was a clear view of the mountains and that it would be quiet. The children in the cabin above us was literally jumping up and down and extremely noisy before quiet hours and as soon as they were over. The view was of all trees, couldn't see not one mountain. Thoroughly disappointed in walking into the room and you could smell mildew, went in the bathroom the smell got stronger, it was the shower curtain. It should be changed immediately. The rest of the room was good. But the smell took over the entire room.
- 3/5
The room is small and awkward in its layout. The sofa bed was awful; our adolescent son had to sleep in our bed.
- 5/5
I found this resort last minute for a solo getaway. It was amazing! Beautiful views, easy drive from Charlotte and a quiet space to unwind. The spa was lovely and offered services I wanted for a reasonable price. I enjoyed getting to know Will and Meghan when I dined at the bar at High Tide. Overall it was a fantastic getaway and I plan to return this fall with friends.
- 2/5
There was no one there to greet us except girls doing laundry. There was never restaurant or bar open. They had summer camp going and we could not even go swimming. They first offered us a room in the basement right next to. So called gym, public restroom and open laundry room. She had to get on the phone and call the owner to upgrade us. The view and walk in the woods saved our stay.
- 5/5
We were on minutes from food and shopping and only 22 minutes from the baseball fields for our tournament games each day. It was also very nice that the pool and hot tub were open 24hrz-7days a week, considering my son needed the hot tub after each game!! We highly recommend this place, great location, great staff, cute and comfortable rooms - and as a single mother of 3 kids-the prices were better than a hotel. We will definitely be back one day!!!
- 2/5
Arrived and pool area was trashed from I assume a bachelorette party from the garbage everywhere. Pictures make it look modern but definitely more of a low budget a bed and breakfast. Staff was helpful via phone when our passcode for our room didn't work when we arrived. Building wasn't secure due to downstairs door being propped open. They also had a summer camp they were hosting start loudly in the morning right outside the window. Wouldnt recommend except for friendly staff.
- 5/5
Beautiful grounds, pool area and river access. I appreciated attention to detail.
- 4.5/5
You don't see staff members
- 2/5
The property was beautiful. I wish I could have given this experience 5 stars because we’re excited to see the property and room when we arrived. I booked a room at the last minute as we are on a road trip, but I booked around 6:30, we arrived and unloaded, adjusted the AC and headed to the pool. We got back and by the time we showered
- 3.5/5
It would’ve been nice to have had some kind of small breakfast on Monday morning before we left
- 4/5
The property was beautiful although they could have had better grounds keeping. They were in transition of changing things and the restaurant was not open. I would definitely go back to see when everything is finished and experience everything fully done. They were very kind and upgraded us because they were changing everything.
- 2/5
Not in Hendersonville as advertised, road is terrible, no front desk to check in, bar and restaurant was not open as advertised. Very disappointed.
- 4/5
I really enjoyed things running smoothly. Access was never a problem. Got there, got in, and too my room with no issues. Room was quiet. It would be great for the family next trip.
- 4/5
Cute comfortable room. Staff hard to find but quick response on phone. Great rate so all good
- 2/5
The room was extremely hot and we had to call to get the air turned on. There was a $100 additional pet fee that wasn’t disclosed to me at the time of booking. Lastly, there was mold literally on my pillow. Don’t recommend.
- 3/5
Only complaint is the hottubs smelled weird, had a film and were swarmed by honeybees. They do raise bees on the property which we love and support but there are ways to deter the bees from certain areas. They need a full time pool/hottub maintenance staff.
- 5/5
Gas grills available for your use Relaxing & fun!
- 2/5
Nothing like what it looks like on the website. Will not come here again it won't let me upload my pictures and videos if I would have been closer to home I'd have left.
- 4/5
Wonderful stay!!! Beautiful property with great views and amenities!!
- 5/5
Serene setting, upscale ambiance, amenities like a secluded water feature of stone wall with waterfall cascading over it from the pool level above offered special space to take my mind off all stresses. Their HUGE "firepit" is elegantly designed (though i would prefer an outdoor cushion be provided to sit on over the gorgeous stone seating!) - the smell of that wood smoldering is heavenly. Skylaranna send like it would be perfect place to get all your family to come for a family reunion getaway no matter what state they all live in.
- 1/5
I was told their would be separated rooms however the beds are in the same room upstairs. No privacy
- 4/5
Great get-a-way!!
- 5/5
Peaceful
- 4/5
Owner is doing lots upgrades to the property. It will be beautiful once completed.
- 4/5
Stay was around thankgiving, not clear if the restaurant was open. Fine if it was not but a sign said it was open for breakfast. Go in and get embarrassed. Shame, it looked really nice, and I understand if it is booked thanksgiving weekend. But awkward! Room was fun with nice view. But all sorts of problems with he smart home stuff in it. They will likely work it out. I will likely try again.
- 3/5
Basic room. Clean but dated. Bed was comfortable. Nothing special.
- 2/5
The property looked nice and there was a lot of positive reviews so I booked a stay for a birthday trip. When I had questions about property or procedures, it was very difficult to get anyone to talk to. I called the number multiple times with no answers or response. The ONE time I spoke to someone it wasnt a very clear resolution. I had not seen a single person that worked for the hotel about at all. I even walked around the property thinking I'd find someone. We stayed in room 403 which was on the top floor and it did have a very pretty view of some mountains and the airport, but it was extremely hot. I tried turning the little ac unit down but it never got cooler. I went all the way down to 62 degrees and still no colder in the room. We found hairs in the bed when we went to lay down. That wasnt great but thankfully no bugs. The bathroom was very nice, but the water only got a lukewarm temperature not hot at all. The thing that really topped off our stay is the last night there some loud guests were stomping and banging things around, slamming their doors and yelling to the point of us feeling unsafe. I knew there was no one I could call from the hotel so that made it feel even more unsafe. We quickly made a decision to pack our bags and leave early instead of risk seeing what would happen or how long they'd continue to be loud. So all in all the property was nice and the convenience of having somewhere to stay close to asheville and other things was nice.
- 3/5
To start the cabins appear to be new and the concepts are beautiful. The shower head was a nice rain maker. They did appear as though punch out was never completed as there are still unfinished construction items such as screw pops in drywall and can light holes where a different size light is installed. When I arrived, the number I was asked to text for better check in apparently wasn’t for that at all. I had no assigned cabin. I called a different number to which the manager answered promptly. He assigned me a cabin which was never cleaned. Hoping “all hands on deck” would be the solution, instead a single cleaner was assigned to which we eventually left after waiting over an hour. I asked for a call when it was ready which never occurred. We returned to the property later in the night. It was cleaned, but not vacuumed. While our stay was pleasant, the uncleanliness of the residence was a turn off. Dog hair abundant. If they are going to allow dogs on site, they should at least vacuum or offer non animal rooms. This place has great potential and was still a spacious beautiful cabin, and perhaps my experience was the outlier. I typically don’t leave negative reviews, but hotels.com has been null and void during this process. No way to contact them and they do not stand as a guardian to your booking or money spent!
- 3/5
Room was very spacious
- 3/5
The trip was very good. The room did have a mini fridge and i microwave which helped with leftovers that i had. My biggest thing was that the ac was not the best. I went to be a bit hot every night and didnt know who to contact to help with that. Besides that i enjoyed my stay.
- 3/5
Grounds were lovely. Shower was awesome.
- 1/5
The location was beautiful and staff super nice. The rooms are nothing like the pictures. Everything was old snd damaged. The place is so small you hear everything. We had a dru k couple by the front at 3 A.M for an hour. The owner does not respond to texts, messages or calls.
- 5/5
It was great to find a hotel close to Asheville that had water and power. They have a restaurant on site with a great bartender. Food was delicious. The area is still torn up with a bunch of downed trees, but the main building was clean and quiet. Check in was a bit of a hassle but the staff there was quick to help. Will certainly stay there again as I am working the hurricane damages and will be back.
- 5/5
Last minute stay was affordable and clean, quiet gorgeous views
- 1/5
This place is the definition of being catfished. It looks beautiful and higher class. When checked it remotely and it stated we were on the 1st floor. My wife has a knee injury so when we saw room 1## we were pleased until we checked in. What they failed to mention was the “first floor” is really in the basement with no elevator. We finally baby stepped my wife to the room and called about switching rooms. My wife was sitting next to me on the couch when she lied and stated she spook with her and she knew it was in the basement area. The shower was dirty. The conditioner container was off the wall and sitting in the shower. There were cockroaches l, spiders and even a snake in the hall. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.
- 5/5
All was good will be back
- 4/5
Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and modern. The coffee pot was broken but we didn't know it until we went to make coffee and discovered the entire back of the pot was missing! Other then that it was a great place. I would stay here again. Easy check in and check out.
- 3/5
Owner was rude
- 3/5
No closet and only two small clothes hooks on wall. No towel racks or counters in bathroom. No bedside tables so everything is on the floor. Otherwise clean.
- 5/5
Peaceful & Relaxing! The A frame modern cabin are great! Hotel rooms available too. The hot tubs & pool are 24 hours a day!
- 5/5
Great stay. We enjoyed the room, the pool, and the view
- 5/5
My wife and I were heading south and in order to miss Hurricane Debby we decided to hunker down for a night and found this charming resort on line. Secluded, family oriented, hiking nearby and an excellent rstaurant on site. we will return for a longer stay!
- 1/5
Terrible WiFi, terrible room and terrible service. No one refill the shampoo, conditioner or body wash for us.
- 5/5
Great property. Very very quiet. Felt very safe.
- 5/5
We had a great stay at SKYLARANNA Resort & Spa. Our room was very large and quiet. We enjoyed an amazing dinner at the on site restaurant, Elevations Chophouse, while seated outdoors on the patio overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. All of the staff members that we talked with were friendly and welcoming. Thanks so much!
- 2/5
We went to our assigned room and used our code to open the door to a shocked couple who were unpacking. Since no staff is on site, we called and located our new room. Later, while my husband was resting after surgery, someone entered a code & opened our door. The lock had previously been broken off the hinges and a new cheap lock had been added. We felt very unsafe. We reached out to management 3 days ago with NO response.
- 5/5
Beauty setting, clean lodging pool was nice, booked a massage at the spa and it was great Only wish was that the restaurant/bar was open on Sunday and Monday
- 1/5
Our room was in a basement next to laundry. The rooms were severely outdated and did not reflect what was advertised. We had 3 nights reserved and left the morning of our first night due to the poor condition of the rooms
- 5/5
This place is definitely unique love the experience so laid back definitely didn't book enough time here will be back
- 3/5
Virtual check in was awkard. No elevator, no staff, food, bar on Monday.

This place was a real gem. Beautiful sceneray and mountain views, pool, hot tub, restraunt, spa, and bar. The pool and hot tub were open 24 hours so we could go in after our teen girls fell asleep for some us time.

Overall i would definitely recommend and will visit again. Majority of the staff was amazing! I think the owner could be more personable. The floors were not clean, as we dropped some ice, wiped with napkin and it was black. Lots of trash/crumbs behind sofa/bed in area downstairs. Cabins definitely not soundproof. We had issues with the toilet multiple times of not flushing after peeing and putting paper in trash, we were afraid during the night we would have a major issue, thank god we did not. Called early am and was told we would have to wait until 10am and we were checking out at 11. That was very harsh, after we had dealt with it all night. That was Overall our only real complaint. We think this is a great comcept it just needs some extra attention paid to certain areas!

Quiet away from it all.And I didn't have to pay a arm in a leg to be able to enjoy this

We had planned on seeing several places in the surrounding mountains, but the property was so serene and beautiful with a high respect for nature we never left. We played in the pool, hiked the river trail and hung out on the porch for sunsets

This was my second stay at this location And it did not disappoint. This is my go to place to stay while I’m traveling for work and visiting my accounts. This place is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are very nice and very clean and it’s awesome to visit here anytime of the year. I highly recommend it, especially if you’re working and driving a lot and you need a day or two to gather yourself from all the chaos of driving and traveling and you happen to drive through Asheville or Hendersonville consider staying here!

Although we were booked for three nights we stayed for only one. The reason being we were told our room would have a mountain view. Unfortunately, it would require us to walk up three flights of stairs to get to that mountain view, since they had no elevator. Since my wife could not even navigate that first set of stairs they put us in the basement. Unacceptable and we left after one evening only. I also could not swim in their four foot only swimming (wading) pool. I suggest discussing their "virtual booking" before completeing task.

Great find! Friendly staff. Cute cabins with modern features. Rain shower was a plus! Beautiful sunset views from the restaurant. Would def stay here again!

Misery. No hot water in the shower. The hot tub was filthy. A motion light randomly went off all night long in the bathroom. This place has potential but far off the mark from a quality resort stay.

Nice escape to stay at while we were in town working. Love the place and will always be my first choice when in town.

Very nice and friendly people to help me check in

In reality it is the most basic of accommodations . Very small and tight . Not clean . Shower water was cold no matter how long you waited for it to warm . Comforter on bed was stained. They gave us 2 rags only so heaven forbid you want to wash off and take a shower at separate times. As it is contactless , there was no one to remedy any of these issues. We were on the fourth floor so tight stairway was not ideal. Didn't realize that you also had to pay $40 an hour to use the damn pool , so that was very disappointing also. No Ice maker , microwave was so small you could barely a cup in it . Coffee pot was "red roof inn" cheap with just an open canister of coffee for to use that could be very insanitary . If this was a Red Roof Inn this would be fine but again this place was advertised as a "spa / resort "

Beautiful property! I would definitely stay here again. Pet friendly and welcomes larger dogs than most properties, and that is such a godsend. Evening and late-night self-check-in was so helpful, as we encountered more traffic on our road trip than anticipated. Local food delivery is available, if you miss the restaurant hours. You get to enjoy the nature of the Asheville area here, with the convenience of easy access to the airport or other sites. The only thing to know is that the property is very dark at night. I felt safe but would welcome additional lighting (even if solar lights or motion sensors, if the darkness is by design) to help guests who arrive in the evening to more easily figure out where to park and unload your car. I know this property continues to develop, so maybe that is planned. The cabin studio had everything I needed, including utensils, paper towels, coffee, sugar, a microwave, and fridge. Very clean. Comfortable bed and bedding. Secure locks. Easy communication with staff at all hours. Thank you!

I think this place has a lot of potential, but isn’t quite there. We stayed in a cabin for three nights and I didn’t realize that we would be sharing the whole cabin building with others. When I see cabin, I think of it as our own space. We didn’t have an issue with noise from other guests but I could see it being a potential problem. Some of the amenities, like the hot tub and fire pit, were not operational and I think the photos make the spaces look larger than they really are. It’s also not obvious but in the cabins the bathrooms are on the ground floor and the spiral staircase leads to a half floor for the bedroom. It wasn’t a problem for us but could be for others. The hotel was in a good location to split time between Asheville and Hendersonville. As an EV driver, having access to a car charger or two would be super awesome and help set the hotel apart from other places in the area. If gravel roads are problematic for you, then this may not be a good choice for you. I liked it, but I don’t know if I could consider it a resort by any means. Parking leaves a lot to be desired and there seems to be some hiccups in amenity availability, amongst other things.

Coffee filter full of coffee was still in the coffee maker from prior occupant. It’s the old style, no kurig.

Such a cool find with super comfy bedding and great staff. The on site chop house was terrific with an awesome chef who made us one of the best dinners we’ve had in years

Room was very nice, good location!

Terrific staff, beautiful property. We enjoyed the comfortable studio apartment that had all we needed. The only unpleasant factor was the obnoxious family in the cabin over us.

Although we didn't get to use the pool or hot tub, the resort was beautiful and peaceful. The only complaint I have is our room was on the main floor and across from the kitchen door so as they were cleaning for the night we could hear it. We would definitely stay here again.

The check in process, parking, noise if there are neighbors, and lack of bathroom counter space were difficult to overlook. There was one tiny bathroom mirror, the dispensers for shampoo and body wash in the shower are so cheap they should just not have offered. The couch was purely for esthetic. The people next to me were up with the music from the TV until 2:45 AM so little sleep was had, Its a new place and it seems like they have A lot of quirks to work out. I frequent the area and will try again after they have been established for a bit

A beautiful property with a $1million view!

I really like the concept behind skylaranna, my main reason for booking was the cleanliness rating, which I’m my opinion is not deserved. Upon our arrive our room had an envelope on the table and coffee in the coffee pot from the previous guest.. the shower curtain had someone’s makeup stains on it… also the Mountain View is very deceiving, it’s just trees.. You will hear the guest staying above you, if they are early risers you will be too.

Absolutely beautiful property, amenities were amazing, the rooms were beautiful and clean, beautiful views of the mountains from all angles of the property. I was traveling for work and it was affordable and a very nice place to wind down and relax after driving and visiting accounts all day. I will return again very soon!

There was no heat in my room. I don’t mean the heat didn’t work, there was literally no heating unit or vents. Said “cool only” on the thermostat but not sure where the vent was for ac either. Lady at the spa was great and brought up a space heater ant 10:30pm. Initial room was messy. No hot water, Luke warm. Wore a winter hat and sweatshirt to bed. Why is there a $25 “resort fee” at this place? Parking? Will not return.

The room we originally were in was in a basement and above the kitchen so it was a constant slamming noise we were unaware of prior to booking the room it was located above the loud kitchen. They moved us but charged us an upgrade fee which I felt wasn’t fair since no where when booking the room mentioned basement room above kitchen. Online makes it seem like a very nice room when in reality it’s way smaller than the photos, constant noise and in a basement. The room they moved us too was better.

First time staying here, really nice & clean. Easy check in & out. Can’t wait to go back when it’s warmer weather to enjoy the rest of the property.

Everything was great! The only thing I have to say is the restaurant was okay. The menu just needs a little more work.

The worst thing was probably the extremely loud and shrill screeching noise the heater made every time it kicked on, which made it very difficult to sleep. Second worse was the room size. Other reviewers are correct in saying it is very different from what is represented in the pictures. Very small, cramped, and inefficiently organized. There are no nightstands and no place to hang your clothes. They give you dishes but there’s no place to put them when they’re dirty, and no place to prep food, so why bother? Like other reviewers stated, many listed amenities were not actually available, including the hot tubs, the fire pit, and the breakfast. Those amenities were among the reasons I had booked this stay in the first place. Then there is the cleanliness. When we checked in there were crumbs left all around the dish area and dog hairs left on the couch. However, like another reviewer, we had a TERRIBLE interaction with the owner/property manager. I won’t get into all the details here, because it would turn this review into a novella, but it was pretty outrageous. I emailed him afterwards to give him the opportunity to resolve the issue, and he responded by…. threatening to sue me if I left them a bad review. I think that tells you everything you need to know…

We stayed here for a few days. We saw 1 staff member the entire trip. No one checked on our room, provided towels, cleaned our room or checked in on us. TV wasn’t working in our master room and sink in bathroom was clogged. To use amenities you had to schedule appointments. Room wasn’t clean. Won’t stay here again.

We were booked in a studio, and when we got into the studio it was extremely small. There was enough room for a bed, a small table, the kitchenette area, and a couch. The couch was not very comfortable- I believe it is one of those pull-out futons. There really wasn't a great place to place our bags. The bathroom is nothing like the images I saw online. Again, my fault. However, on Expedia's end- I did state that I would be travelling with 3. It was my husband, myself, and our daughter. So, I called the office and asked if there were any other rooms that are larger that we could upgrade to, and she called me back and said that there was nothing available because they were all booked for the weekend. Our room had a ring camera on the outside of the door. We didn't like this due to privacy issues. This meant we couldn't even stand outside without our conversation being heard and felt like if we are out here for privacy, the last thing we should be concerned about is being watched on the ring doorbell camera. We also had people just walking right in front of our room.

The service was excellent/ they even called when they saw me go by my cabin. There’s area to hike and it just felt nice. I’ll be recommending to visiting family and friends!

Arrived & there was no clear checkin area & I walked in to the bar & felt like I should not be there. The owner checked me in & it all felt a little strange. Drove the car around to the room & went in to the room & it was not serviced with used bedsheets on it. So I walked back up the 5 mins to the bar & the owner said he had tried to call me to come back up as he realised the room was not serviced. Well I thought that it might have been nice if he came down to me, but he decided not too. The room was pleasant with a nice view & plenty of amenities but no wardrobe space at all or hangers just a few hooks. Just found the whole experience strange
