Unfortunately, our stay was not very comfortable. There was a strong unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which affected our overall experience.

This property has passed it's glory days.the staff was incredibly pleasant, but the facility needs upgrades. I won't hold the neighborhood against them.

Parking was good. Did not see or need a gym. There was a lot of activity during late hours but not too bothering. It's a nice motel for a quick trip.

Very dirty and old hotel. I won't go there again. I'd rather sleep in my car.

The one good thing I can say about this property is that there were no bedbugs, at least in the room I was staying in, and the beds were very comfy, but sadly, that alone couldn't hold up against the many other things that were awful about this place. To top things all off, I was surprised by a $50 dep that was required at check-in, justified by a non-smoking policy, when ironically the place smelled of cigarettes and a mix of drugs. The place is well situated, and it has great potential if the owners would take more pride in it. Hopefully they will find the pride they need.

I called him and said it might they got my phone charger still so I went back next day picked it up and I get home and I look at it and the cord is like sliced. It’s like almost all the way off and it was perfectly perfect working into dish conditions when I left in my room cause I use it this morning so I don’t know what to do. It was about the second time that happened were they they kicked me out after one night and I was supposed to have two nights so well what do you think? I got like nine hours for $94 a chart supposedly that he said 94 but I don’t know I haven’t seen my slip for my thing but you’re supposed to be two for 187 but either way I got ripped off because I didn’t get my second night if I paid 187 and if I did get my didn’t pay for the one night 94 is kind of high I wouldn’t have paid it but anyways, it’s very bad with somebody. They’re gonna try and keep my my my ass my charger and shit. It wasn’t very nice. Anyways I’ll give it about the lowest score possible zero

Near where I need to be for business. Some homeless people sleeping in corners on the premise and some shouting at 3am because of fights. It doesn’t feel particularly safe.

I was put in room 220 on the end. It was quiter than a lot of their rooms but keep in mind freeway road noise is constant. But its easy to get a good night's sleep. This room didn't get neighbors smoking and talking outside my room door. Other rooms get that issue.

Customer service was ok. Maintenance guy was needed because room 106 had a a/c unit with no vent cover. Also it needs to be disconnected from the electricity and cleaned out. That thing can be blowing bad air. But Customer service and house keeping was there.

Someone tried to bust into my room and attack me. Not sure if it was a robbery or a trafficking situation, but either way I was cared for my life and HPD was not helpful at all.

Right off the 880 freeway. Parking was easy. Room is nice and clean and not noisy. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only small problem was the AC goes on and off when I wanted to be able to turn on and off myself. Places to eat near by and a mall one exit away. Would stay again.

All the reviews are accurate. I don't like to leave any bad reviews. Better yet I'm leaving a review so they can make changes. The bed smelled like urine. Tub very dirty. Glad I always bring shower shoes and also extra bedding. This was non refundable which this property should give refunds when the conditions are the way they are. The room was so dirty I couldn’t sleep there and their was cockroaches. Worst experience ever! I would never recommend any one to stay there they should just make it for the homeless people to have a place to stay. It was hella sketchy and I feel like you could get robbed or jumped. There was no WARM water and the stay scared my kids the bathroom looked like a jail bathroom I guess but it was not comforting whatsoever. It felt like hell the beds were off the hendges and just filthy and not somewhere to stay at all. It was non refundable so don’t waste your time here

Next door neighbors were allowed to blast music and smoke all day outside my door. It took 4 calls to get the management to make it stop. My refrigerator that came with the room dodnt work. They brought another one the wrong size that did work. That I had to install.

It was old and worn, which was fine, but the bathroom should have been cleaner. Little maintenance details could have easily been fixed: no cover on the batteries on the TV remote, curtains not hung on one end, no plug or cover over sink drain (gross).

Room was cold, the heather was not working proper. The shower was also not working proper the water was not hot, I feel so cold and I got sick. I left the hotel at 11:48 PM, I only stayed for 4 hours. when I went to the reception there was not one, I called but no one, then I left the key and left the hotel, it was not a good experience at all.

The room was nothing as described online. It was horrible! There were homeless people right outside the motel arguing and making all types of noise. The bathroom sink was damaged as well has a crack in the window replaced with plexi-glass with blue masking tape. The beds were old and uncomfortable. Not a safe place for anyone to stay in!! Don't be fooled by the pictures and reviews!

Just nasty overall

You get what you pay for, I will say that. There are families living there. Kids leaving there toys all over the property. The room smell like cigarettes and there are roaches. You get what you pay for but I will say it could be so much better. Nobody bothers you but it just feels very rundown as compared to the photos you see online. The pool is closed and there are no vending machines in that area but the ice machine works. If you can afford to pay a bit more which I will next time I plan to stay in Hayward. Just go somewhere else.

I refused to stay the night and left after they refunded my charges to my VISA!! The desk person saw how angry I was that photos online are deceptive and do not show the awful conditions here!! I had to leave a party early so I would not have to stay in this squalor. I need a receipt from EXPEDIA to show I did not stay the night of Saturday 8/16/25. I have a receipt from Heritage Inn Express-Hayward, Front Desk Associate to show I left the hotel without staying the night & they did not charge my Visa. Thank you. Room was non-smoking but smelled of either smoke or aggressive, bitter cleaning solution. Parking lot is difficult to get out of with street partially blocked by semi. Economical but felt that way.

I book a king bed room for myself, room is spacious, staff and service is good and friendly, but the property is little older you can smell that from the carpet, overall can be accepted against the cost in San Francisco.

This place has been recently renovated...inside the 3 or so rooms i had the almost fully pleasurable experience of having. Location gets 2 stars and 5 stars right next to 880 which shouts convenience and the dull sounds of cars on a very busy area of Freeway is dull like white noise after a stay of a few days. Service gets 3 stars and 5 stars so everyone was kind and friendly and efficient and helpful but i had an unfortunate situation develop with a neighbourhood homeless man that didnt escalate as much as it could have thankfully but a lesson was learned on my behalf. Property seems in good shape and kept clean and a team of smiling seemingly happy people but strangely a fairly large swimming pool is the focus of the 3 story courtyard of the hotel and it was July late in the summers agreement 5o turn up the heat but the pool kooked great and inviting but for some reason it was closed the entire time we stayed. With san Francisco bay just a stones throw from this invitjng almost overlooked gem of q place to stay wasnt really a place to stay and relax and play. No water nased sports anyway. Hmmm. Ask before you plan and count on something that might remain closed for whatever reason.

There were dirty, used towels sitting on top of the closet rack, as if they had just been tossed up there and forgotten. The carpet was so sticky that I kept my shoes on the entire time. The worst part was the door. It didn’t even lock properly. I tried several times and the deadbolt wouldn’t catch all the way. I ended up tying my dog’s leash to the door handle and top latch, and put a chair under the door just to try to protect myself. Outside was just as unsettling. People were hanging around the parking lot throughout the night and I was approached by men trying to hustle or sell things. I told them no each time, but they were persistent. There was no visible staff, no security, and no one checking on what was going on. I felt completely exposed and vulnerable. As a woman traveling alone, I was terrified. I didn’t sleep. I didn’t even feel comfortable lying down. I packed up and left at 1:30 in the morning because I genuinely felt safer sleeping in my car than staying in that room any longer. Please believe the reviews. I wish I had read them. This place is not clean, not safe, and absolutely not worth it. No price justifies feeling this unsafe.

I like how this place changed. No more roudy noises. No loud music, and no more constructions workers drinking and outburst on the walk way balcony.

This time, the place was quiet. No rowdiness. The property was well kept. Customer service still excellent. I was amazed, the best 3 weeks I stayed at the Heritage Inn.

There were cigarette burns in bottom sheet. The mattress was worn out and sagging. There were gunshot sounds the second night of stay.

I am Disabled and I have a service dog .I liked nothing about the place and the reason being was I made a last minute reservation with two rooms still available. When I arrived the counter person was fast asleep. I woke him up and showed him my digital id and he said no canceld my reservation told me to leave.. and went back to his chair to sleep. My service dog and I had no place to go at midnight. I was tired in pain and desperately need to use the restroom .

It was the worst hotel I have ever been to. I couldn’t even stay the entire night I was grossed out. The wall was not even attached to the floor. I leaned against it and almost went through. Rugs are ripped and nasty. Mold and just nasty everywhere. I would definitely not take a shower or use the towels so I left.

All the reviews are true. Semi sketch area. There were construction workers standing right outside my door smoking, playing music and talking loudly. Beds were uncomfortable and the sofa couch in room had some questionable stains. TVs are outdated.

The hotel itself is on the shady side, which makes sense as it is the least expensive hotel around. It’s the staff that make this place good. Nice, helpful. Not judgmental, and that’s the front desk as well as housekeeping. ,

Bathroom very dirty even the towels still had hair on it

The previous one-star reviews are all true, and the photos do not represent what the hotel is actually like. The furniture is old and damaged, the room is in bad condition, and the bathroom had orange stains in the toilet and the shower. The sheets were dirty and had holes, and we heard loud talking in the rooms next to and above us. We had booked the room for the week, but we decided that it was better to cut our losses and find lodging elsewhere. Overall, the hotel is pretty bad and there are better options within walking distance. The one positive is that when I went to the front desk to raise these issues, the agent agreed to do so and we avoided paying for the rest of our stay. The price is tempting, but it is not worth it.

People smoking weed outside my door .

I’m a regular guests at the Heritage Inn.. I stayed for 3 weeks! At the beginning I loved the place! But lately, People brings there dogs to the hotel! You walked outside of your room , you see dog poop! Parking lot, same thing!! Then there’s people doing their drugs and drinking, loud music!!! It’s just horrible!!!

The activities surrounding the property area is one of the better communities.

I will never stay here again entirely due to there bad magnetic key card door lock systems not working every day and another tenant was having the same issue. They need to change all of their door locks from their current system to one that reliably works

Área was not the best, but can’t complain due to the price , but the rooms were dirty with hairs and carpet dirty like they have not been vacuumed. Beds seemed like it had been same used blankets from previous stay tenants. It was a smoke free area but everything smelled like cigarettes drum the hallways to the rooms and sheets. Pool was filthy. Of your looking to actually relax and sleep comfortably, just pay the extra money , otherwise it will be hard for you to get some rest.

Coming in I was a little skeptical because I'm not used to a motel or in setting I'm more used to a hotel but once I got inside the room it was a little age but once I laid in the bed I was so comfortable I slept the best sleep that I've had in weeks the bed was so comfortable and the area was quiet I was so surprised never judge a book by its cover I slept wonderfully well I got the rest that I needed and I have a long drive 5 hours drive to get home.

This place is terrible. As we were walking down the stairs a crazy guy popped out from under the stairs and asked if we had any Crystal to buy. The front desk staff tried to enter my room last at night. I called up front and he said that he didn't think anyone was in the room, very strange. People were fighting late in the night screaming yelling and kicking doors. On Expedia it looked nice once you arrive a way different look. Never again. Please don't stay at this hotel. It should be removed from all sites for renting a room. It's a homeless hotel.

Our stay was okay. Couldn't sleep good because I was concerned that someone would break in through the door which was damaged and didn't look well. The clerk gave us a different room than the one we originally booked and he stated that the original room had some problems. The tv didn't work, we had to unplug the fridge to be use the microwave. The rest room was dirty and the toilet was disgusting.

I did not like this property. I felt unsafe, my car felt unsafe. The photos of the property did not represent what room actually looked like. Pictures do lie. Real pictures of the room needs to be posted so you do not waste your time booking as it is misleading.

Do not stay here. I couldn’t even stay here. The room smelt like pee and cigarette and weed. There was probably a drug deal going on in the parking lot. I informed the staff it was highly unsafe to stay here just for possibly infection/illness or just general safety concerns especially being a woman traveling alone. They are still fighting with the refund. But I was only there for maybe 10 minutes at most. I repeat do NOT stay here, don’t let the cheap price sell you. I only needed something to rest for a few hours cuz I had such a long drive. Didn’t work out that and I had to leave immediately and just finished my drive.

Pool is not open it’s a science experiment. Lot of people awake at 1:30am no Cable TV, but it is budget friendly and has very spacious rooms. The room itself is a little outdated but the beds are comfortable and clean.

Convenient

The room was fairly clean but the elevator was filthy and smelled of smoke. The place was pretty run down. There is a pool that is not in use but has water in it and it looked pretty gross. This place seems to be partially used as a residential hotel.

Please invest in some luggage carts and there's roaches in room 120 and there's nowhere to hang a hand towel also there's no place to put the toilet paper except just putting it on the toilet. Also please mop every room that doesn't have carpet because so far I've stayed in several rooms and I've noticed the floor has been dirty and sometimes I couldn't even tell if it had been cleaned or not. Also please invest in some new beds. You have some really nice and very comfortable beds I will say the beds in room 120 are very comfortable. However the beds like the ones in 201 and 106 have been very cheap and uncomfortable also please please make sure you use mattress protectors or like some sort of hygienic way for the mattresses because it should never be just sheet on mattress like who knows what could've transpired on the mattress and to have no protective layer between sheet and mattress is just revolting because imagine how many bodies have slept on the mattress with only a very thin sheet to protect it it's just gross and nobody wants to sleep on a mattress that feels dirty and this is a hotel like you need to have some standards you really should hire men who know what they're doing to make sure the whole place stays clean and safe and just positive energy you know so please try to be more clean and please make sure that all the cleaners really do there jobs.

I was allowed to check in early and I was charged $20 extra. However, the room that was assigned to me was absolutely filthy. It had not yet been cleaned. However, the clerk did assign me another room. That room was cleaned. The drapes were coming off the window. The carpet was sticky. The TV didn’t work. Properly. The pool was closed and green! There was a dog in one of the rooms close by which growled and barked at me through the door as I walked past. I truly felt like I had made a big mistake. I was coming to town for a job interview. I thought this would be a good reasonable hotel but I do not recommend it. However, I have to give accolades to the clerk, he was very nice.

Room was kept clean but smelled like weed, even it was non-smoking room. Although, staff was very responsive and was willing to change the room, seeing the situation there, I didn't have any good hope so declined the offer. Based on my decision staff member provided me a good high end odor remover room freshener. I wouldn't mind old building but was not well maintained. Pool was dirty, you could see from any angle. Corridors were dirty, cigarette buds all over places and the whole building smell like weed. I guess they don't have much control but many tenants were high and their attire was very inappropriate for any situation.
