Wonderful surprise and fun hotel.. Loved the style and look. The location is funny-- but in general, an easy trip to the airport-- and I recommend if you have a layover or want a chill spot to go..

The staff were top notch!
- 5/5
Conveniently right off the 405, walking through the door transports you to a chateau in Italy. Very friendly staff; very large room with very tall ceilings; very reasonable price for the value. Will definitely stay here again, if we make the trek south again.
- 3/5
Plusses: great location, lots of shopping & food options nearby, big room & comfy bed Minuses: uncaring staff, only "meh" restaurant, freeway noise due to proximity to I-405 • Plusses speak for themselves. For nights 2 & 3 I walked to nearby restaurants & had yummy seafood & Mexican dinners. For breakfast I went to a close Starbuck's that cost a fraction of hotel breakfast. • Minuses – where to start? Hotel staff claimed my Expedia reservation was "canceled". Rather, Expedia offered me a reasonably-priced upgrade to the top suite at the hotel ~5 days before, which I jumped on. Why upgrade did not go through, I have no clue. Fortunately, staff person "found" me the originally booked room for a higher price, meaning they did not honor the original Expedia price. Desperate, I said yes. • Mental note – next time, immediately go to Expedia app & see if same hotel pops up. I did this only AFTER I had gotten to my room. Had I done so at check-in, the room booked via the app would have been cheaper than what I was originally going to pay. Steak fingers on night #1 were disappointing & looked nothing like restaurant pic. Same person who checked me out last morning. I registered displeasure of having to pay more which the retort was "at least we got you a room". If you stay here, insist that room overlook the patio and NOT be on the outside wall. The traffic noise of I-405 was continuous, so I ran A/C as white noise to block out sound. Will I go back? Unlikely.
- 3/5
One thing I noticed is that the value has changed over the years. Parking used to be complimentary and breakfast was included, but both now come with additional charges. For this stay, I booked through Expedia rather than directly with the hotel, which is what I normally do. I’m not sure if that made a difference, but I was assigned a handicap-accessible room that I did not request. What was even more surprising was that the room was located quite far from the elevator. When I questioned it, I was told that I had booked that room type, which was not the case. The only positive part of my experience was the housekeeping staff, who were friendly and pleasant throughout my stay. Unfortunately, this visit left me disappointed. After many years of staying here, I will likely explore other hotel options in the Manhattan Beach area for future getaways.
- 5/5
Nice hotel in a convenient location close to the beach, LAX and SOFI stadium. Complimentary shuttle to the Manhattan Beach was a nice addition. The beds were comfortable, can't comment on other amenities since we spent little time inside the hotel.
- 4/5
Over all the property was clean Great price The only issue was a musty smell when you walked in the room
- 5/5
Great location and not a lot of traffic compared to other parts of California. Rooms are extremely clean but they had the drip line for condensation for the ac above the sink and it was dripping all day and night. But I would recommend this place to anyone. Staff is also very friendly.

- 4/5
Not good as to room location as our room was right next to the freeway so it was quite noisy.
- 5/5
Great place. Small but nice pool. The bar manager, Eric, was so kind and helpful. Esya at the front desk gave us a warm welcome upon our late arrival. Bring earplugs. The highway noise at night is not terrible, but it’s there. Ask for a courtyard view room. In room wi-fi was perfect for both of us to work online. I taught successfully via Zoom three times. Would stay again!

The carpet in 213 needs a good steam cleaning; a little spotty. Great room, though!!
- 5/5
Stunning hotel surrounded by many fun things to so
- 5/5
The staff was extremely friendly. The manager went above and beyond as I left my jacket in the room and only realized as I was already at LAX. I received my jacket in the mail a few days later.

It’s a beautiful hotel, pool was a good size the rooms were very clean and it’s a very safe place, I would stay here again

Room was clean and comfortable, although a little bit dated. A little noisy early in the morning was some kind of fan motor coming on. It was very noticeable in the room hot water took a long time to get to the fourth floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful convenient for travel from LAX.
- 4/5
Spacious and clean rooms, good European retro style building, comfortable parking, good value for money. Water pressure was not good at shower. Reception guy was not smiling face. Car park could be free of charge.

My check-in/check-out is always quick and efficient. Because I am co standby on the move, it helps me out A LOT. Appreciate the Staff always!!

Despite being in a very busy area, Ayer Hotel in Hawthorn, California was very quiet and serene. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is excellent and the amenities functional, convenient and clean. We will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing grand hotel. Everything was above and beyond anywhere else I’ve ever stayed. I will forever seek out the Ayres hotel line when in the property locations.
- 5/5
Very clean. Towels were bright white! Clean all around and the location is the best close to everything
- 2.5/5
Rooms are dated; amenities like blow dryer & iron were older. Clock did not work so limited access to plugs. It was nice to have a microwave in the room though. Had to call each day for towels at the pool. Amenities could be better or updated.

Best value for couples and families in Manhattan Beach area. From the old world European charm to the outstanding restaurant, this is a 5-star experience hotel.
- 5/5
Great location and large room
- 4/5
The food is really great and the staff was great and I think the property is beautiful. The gym was lacking (most cardio equipment was broken) and the location is not very scenic. But short drive to the beach and there’s a lot of access to things that you would need. It just feels more like you’re in the middle of a shroad area.

Everything was perfect! I thought for some reason I was told the parking was free, but we were charged $22 per night. Perhaps I misunderstood though, not a big deal. The hotel was beautiful and everyone was so nice and helpful. They went out of their way to make everything special! We were there for my daughter’s prom, it was wonderful and the kids had a great time! We will definitely go back again for a staycation to enjoy the hotel and the Manhattan Beach area.
- 4/5
On the bright side, it’s nice that it is so close to the airport.
- 5/5
Wonderful room, plenty of parking. Took 6 key programmes to get one to work. After a long day. Wasn’t ideal having to walk back and forth to reception to get another key.

The Staff was awesome! I had to check-in quickly to go to work on a travel assignment and they were efficient and no nonsense. Loved it!! The room was immaculate. I love this location because everything is around there: Costco, In-N-Out, Home Depot, Sprout's....amazing. Everything I could ever want is within a few miles. They've always got my business.
- 5/5
close to airport, but not so close you hear planes taking off and landing. Close to good restaurants.

- 5/5
Only 10 minutes to LAX this hotel was perfect to make sure we avoided LA traffic before taking a early morning flight. Big shoutout to Tim at the front desk who checked us in efficiently and upgraded our room to a double queen with VERY tall ceilings and a door that opened directly onto the interior courtyard and heated pool (the two courtyard pictures were taken from my room). I swam in the pool and although it colder day the pool kept me comfortable. The pictures represent this hotel exactly. The HUGE room we got seemed like a throwback to an earlier time but in a good, nostalgic way. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable - even the pillows. I would certainly stay here again.
- 4/5
I loved the antique furniture that was scattered around the hotel. The uniqueness of the hotel was beautiful to the eye. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the tv in the room was too small and there were no option to watch any tv apps. Overall my stay ways great!
- 4.5/5
Very fancy hotel- the room actually got pitch black and the bed was so comfortable! I wish they had free water and coffee available in the lobby

What a beautiful hotel. Staff was all amazing. Room was great. An actual comfortable bed for once. Wonderful facility. Amazing oil paintings, statues and really cool 1800s furniture just everywhere, it was crazy (if your into that like I am) Just 15 minutes from a great beach and cool shopping. This place is a hidden gem. So happy we found it. Honorable mention to the super hard working server in the restaurant. Wish I would have got her name butt she was working her butt off at breakfast. Did a really great job. She deserves a raise for sure. All the reception staff were so helpful and they refunded us our previous reservation when we couldn't go on Friday due to our daughter getting in a little car accident. So they canceled, refunded and rebooked us for Saturday night. We will 100% stay there again next time we are in the area. Thank you Ayres! Nothing. Literally nothing. The place even smelled nice. Even the elevator. Ya thats real.

The grounds of the hotel are storybook. It is hard to believe this exists where it does, but both the location and photos are accurate. I enjoyed every trip up or down the grand staircase in the lobby. The staff were always helpful and nice. The fitness center was clean and in order. Two sides of the property face the freeway which is of course audible from rooms on those sides. This was not a major disturbance for me personally, but it might be good for others to take into consideration.

A special event here, like a wedding, would really be a treat. I will definitely consider staying here again the next time I’m in the area.

Big spacious room with comfortable bed. Appreciated the kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Parking fee. There were plenty of parking spaces, I don’t get why they feel the need to charge for parking.

Although the Aryres Hotel is right off of the 405 freeway, it’s definitely a well kept hotel. Tuscan style, and one feels like they’re in a hotel in Italy.

Extra for parking, the lights keeps flashing and there are stains on towel
- 5/5
Only issue i had was house keeping never came to get my towels or change my bed out of 3 days there. I put them outside my door after calling front desk for house keeping and watched a house keeper walk past them. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had to book an extra day and it was through the hotel itself so they gave me a AAA discount (I am a AAA member). Sounds proof which is what I was looking for in a hotel. Couldnt hear other peoples noise and no one could hear me. Not a party, just alone time with a partner. Not much for kids to do and in a busy area with lots of corporate (fast food, costco, world market) businesses around it. Would go back again.

Nice hotel good price and great staff
- 4/5
I detected a strange odor when entering the lobby, I got the impression that people smoked cigarettes in the past, its difficult to cover up. The room was larger than average, the king bed was comfortable. The "Continental breakfast" was weak, mainly apples, some store bought cheese muffins, water, cereal and coffee. Was hoping for OJ! Was good, but not 4 stars to me
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel & staff
- 5/5
We loved our stay. The partition in the room was a nice addition to give the adults and kids privacy. The pool is heated and the hot tub clean, we went twice a day! An unexpected surprise was a small continental breakfast that offered dairy free coffee for me and cereal and pastries to the kids to hold them over until we went about our day.
- 5/5
Gorgeous property, felt regal and elegant. Great pool and gym had good machines and equipment. The staff were great and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch.
- 3/5
The room window did not work properly to block the highway noise, the front desk refused to change my room until I repeatedly requested.

Nice hotel, close to the airport and next to the highway 405. Costco is right across the street.
- 5/5
It was a short stay but we enjoyed it. This hotel is close enough to the airport to uber under $35. The room was clean the beds were not worn, the halls were quiet. Breakfast was minimal, danishes, cereal, apples, oranges and coffee. There are a few walkable options. The shuttle service they provide is for shopping in Manhattan area only. Overall we would stay again and I like the noon checkout.
- 4/5
Enjoyed the free shuttle to Manhattan Beach.
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff so nice, location is pretty good close to food, gas station, costco and the highway. something i didnt like is the parking charge if you staying but most of places in LA charge for parking hope didnt need to go back to California.
- 5/5
Large room, very comfortable bed, awesome little hotel with a lovely courtyard and a cool little bar. Coming from out of town to catch a game at the new Intuit dome this was a very close and convenient location, highly recommend!

- 4/5
It's a beautiful place to stay. The staff was so friendly and made check in easy. The room and decor is amazing! The bed was comfy but the outside freeway noise kept waking me up. Make sure to ask or wait for a room not facing the freeway if you're a light sleeper like I am.

Stressful check-in
- 5/5
Amazing hotel. Beautiful property
- 5/5
beautiful room, only complaint is the sheer curtain and inability to close the blackout curtain. This did not make the room feel private or safe like anyone could peak in at me in my room.
- 5/5
Beautiful room - my only suggestion is to have a black out curtain or privacy curtain as they only had sheer curtains in the room. The side curtains that would have helped only covered the sides and could not be closed. I did not like this on my 2nd trip where I was on the ground level and anyone walking by could have looked into the room which was weird.
- 5/5
the hotel was beutufull

Great looking common areas, beautiful veranda to sit and convenient location, the staff was very attentive. Room was great size with a seating area, shower water pressure wasn’t great and the hand sink kept clogging but would definitely stay again
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing. Clean, elegant, peaceful. It was a great experience.

When I checked in, I asked for a quiet room and was told that they only had rooms next to the freeway. After politely requesting again, the check in person did find a quiet room for me which I appreciated.

I stayed here back in August and I loved the hotel! The entire place is beautiful and clean, the rooms are clean and comfortable and really cozy! Customer service was excellent and they were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Room was clean but very old. The restaurant was not open however for $5-8 you get prepackaged honey buns and things like that which I do not consider a breakfast item.
- 3/5
Bed bugs yuck!
- 5/5
Very clean, safe area and parking was perfect.

I needed to check in early and I was accommodated eventhough it was a very busy holiday Weekend. I appreciate the staffs assistance and consideration. Ayres is getting up on my favorite hotels in California list.

Nice hotel!

The furniture and amenities are very historic and gorgeous. The staff are very friendly.

This hotel was nice, quiet, comfortable but way too expensive. I was a bit concerned of the condition of some of the evergreens on the property. Makes on think of possable fire hazard.(?) The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable.

Place & staff where great!

I’m not likely to choose this hotel for my next stay. The price was very high for what it offered.

My daughter and I had a magical vacation at the Ayres Hotel! The room was clean and spacious, the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful and the pool/courtyard were BEAUTIFUL!
- 5/5
Good hotel if you’re going to an event in Inglewood. The hotel will be better once they’re done remodeling the restaurant.
- 4/5
Nice environment and great staff. Sheets in room we were in had some stains but staff helped deliver new ones.

Everyone was extremely friendly & helpful! Hotel was amazing & beautiful!

i love this hotel, it’s our go too when we’re in LA
- 5/5
Loved the beautiful music that greeted you when you walked in and the stunning art in the halls. The room was beautifully decorated as well and the noise from the street was minimal.
- 5/5
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
- 4/5
Over all good, will recommend this for staying.

I would have given a 5 star for everything. The interior was beautiful and they still made food options available even though the restaurant was under construction however I ended up with a rash on my face after the first night bc the ac unit had mold growing on it and ac unit made the whole room extremely humid, like I was breathing right next to a humidifier. I didn’t rate too poorly though bc as soon as I brought it up to the front desk they immediately sent someone up to handle it and the maintenance personnel thoroughly cleaned the ac unit, even taking the whole thing apart to clean it in front of me. I still rated it average because that is a pretty major issue to have in the room. Had my mother been the one staying there she would have ended up in the hospital bc she is severely allergic to mold.
- 5/5
Staff was fantastic, not much to do in the area but have self parking that is monitored 24/7
- 4/5
This hotel is right off the highway, so it’s convenient for getting around. There is a very helpful shuttle that takes you to the beach so you don’t have to deal with parking. Hotel room was clean, spacious and overlooked a sweet courtyard with a pool and hot tub. Staff was very friendly and professional.

Clean, friendly staff
- 5/5
My stay here was amazing. The staff from the front desk to cleaning services was so kind. Room was always clean and beds were comfortable. Overall enjoyed the hotel.
- 4/5
Unfortunately the bar & restaurant was closed at the time of our visit. We were not happy about this 😔
- 4/5
The area and the building inside is beautiful and very antique and vintage style. The music was very calming and classic. I really enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, and gym. However, the only issue was the smell in the rooms and in the hallways, as well as the sheets were really stiff and synthetic. But other than that the stay was very enjoyable and pleasant.

Close to beaches and a lot of essentials.

Amazing service

It was ok. No hot water in the room

Omg this was a wonderful hotel. The close proximity to LAX, Sofi stadium and Manhattan beach is unbeatable. The staff is friendly,

An exhaust in the bathroom would be nice otherwise the room is large. And the bed very comfortable
- 3/5
Nice decorative building. Cool statues and paintings in public areas. Rooms and electronics are dated and could use a refresh. Located on a big street right off the freeway. Looks a bit out of place for the commercial neighborhood.
- 5/5
It was very relaxing. We appreciated the decor and the classical music being played in the public areas. We had a downstairs courtyard room that open to the courtyard and swimming area. We loved it! We would love to come back again.
- 2/5
Long walk to room, creepy guy outside watching me and my car was super uncomfortable. The staff was average and not exceptionally friendly. I could hear the 405 traffic from room and was hard to get to sleep. The hotel did not have amenities for a birthday nor a restaurant. The property looked old and run down for the price. Not impressed. Will not be staying here ever again.
- 5/5
Convenient location if traveling to LA.
- 5/5
The staff was great!
- 5/5
Beautiful place definitely would recommend

Unfortunately only had a one night stay, but this hotel was so beautiful and very well maintained! The staff was so kind as well!
- 4/5
Nice hotel large room friendly staff.
- 1/5
Super far from everything and the beach. Offered no shuttle from airport or to beach. $30+ uber rides to anywhere. Worst hotel to stay in location wise. Was stuck at hotel with no amenities
- 5/5
Great perfect would stay again
- 5/5
Had a great stay here !! Super clean and such great and helpful staff a chill vibe for sure !
- 5/5
Finally a hotel that will make your bed, give new towels, and clean your room EVERYDAY just like it should be! Polite, friendly, helpful, and responsive staff. Definitely would stay here again
- 2/5
Outdated dirty room. It was so bad we almost checked out to find somewhere else to stay. I’ve loved all of the Ayres hotels I have stayed at in the past but this one needs some serious love.
- 5/5
I love the fact that they allowed me to check in early. The staff were friendly and the location is very convenient.
- 5/5
Close to the interstate and very clean & quite!
- 5/5
Very clean and classy!
- 4/5
We would rate the property very good for our 2-night stay. Our room was very large and clean. Some elements are starting to become a bit tired, but I believe the management is beginning to do a refresh. The antique furnishings were lovely and there was a unique elegance to it, particularly for the reasonable rate. We would certainly stay again.

Decor was europa
- 5/5
The building itself is gorgeous! All staff that I interacted with were so nice! The beach shuttle is awesome to have and loved the jacuzzi!
- 5/5
I had a great stay at the Ayres Suite Manhattan Beach. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a price that was surprisingly affordable for the quality—it honestly felt like it should cost more. The staff was friendly, and the location was convenient, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. I’d definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
I love the vintage vibe of the hotel. The room is so spacious! Only downside is the unnecessary price for parking when there is ample space to park cars. The room TV was also small and outdated.
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel
- 5/5
everything from the room and staff were very nice!
- 5/5
Absolutely gorgeous hotel, amazing steak house, great service
- 4/5
It’s a very nice place. Only stayed one night but since it was so close to the beach it was definitely worth it. not sure why the parking fee isn’t inclouded in the price tho.

Very nice

The only complaint I have is that there wasn’t a comforter on the bed and the only cover had like a hard substance all over. We had to buy our own comforter. Clean room, sheets, towels. Designated mini market. Terrace with tables and chairs. Laundry room. Would stay here again and would recommend.
- 5/5
Outstanding decoration, very quiet even though the highway is right in front of the hotel !
