Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Harrisonburg

Breakfast was great, and the staff at the front desk/check-in desk were extremely helpful. However, in our 8 days that we stayed at this particular hotel, our room was only serviced once, in which the only thing that was "cleaned" is the fact that our bed was made, and some of the bathroom towels were replaced. The soaps in the shower where nearly empty upon our arrival, and we're never filled throughout our entire stay. The same goes for the toilet paper, we actually had to go up to the front desk and ask for toilet paper, and then eventually go out and purchase our own toilet paper and soap(s). Breakfast was good, but their advertised hours are incorrect, due to the fact that the staff started putting everything away at 9, instead of 10, when breakfast "supposedly" ended. Another point of note is that the hotel had parking lot parties during the weekend, where people were fighting both inside and outside of the hotel.

Poor lighting in the bathroom. And the air conditioning unit made a ton of fan noise all night. Otherwise, no complaints. Very clean, good breakfast selections, friendly staff. And the hotel was in a quiet area. Not right on top of the highway.

hotel shuttle to and from the airport and metro was very nice amenity. our room overlooked the pentagon, capitol building, jefferson memorial and washington monument. very quiet property. beware of parking garages here and everywhere we actually parked in dc. we rented a chevy traverse (little bigger than an equinox) and the parking spaces in the dc garages are all very cramped and not really designed for larger vehicles. if you're staying here you probably wouldnt need a rental car as the shuttle will drop you off /pick you up at the pentagon city metro station or the reagan airport station. overall good stay.

Clean room (slightly dated), friendly and helpful staff, solid breakfast. Guest WiFi wasn’t working, which was an issue. My room was near the lobby and there was a group of people leaving around 5:45-6am and they weren’t very considerate of those that were still trying to sleep. Overall, had a good stay (minus the loud group and the WiFi issue).

Most of the property was clean however, the room smelled of stale cigarettes and the coffee maker had a moldy coffee pod in it. Ugh 😣

It was conveniently located near an interstate. I was able to park close to my room. It had a reasonable bed. The place needs an update. Carpets are worn. Halls were narrow. Doors slam shut and echo through the hallway into the rooms, as do conversations in the hallway. Noise from the room above was loud and unsettling during times I wished to be sleeping. The sheets and beds were not up to my usual experience of Marriott. The Marriott site was down when I tried to book, so I booked through a third party. Marriott refused to credit me with rewards, though they did concede and provide free internet access. Warm breakfast items were very limited and cold. Not a good selection. Wished I had gone out to breakfast elsewhere.

The only reason I booked the hotel was the pool and the hot tub. The hot tub wasn’t working, empty. And the pool was not heated. And it was filthy all around the edges and floor. Like it’s cleaned not even once a month. And not even well.

The noice you can hear from the surrounding rooms and area is terrible there was people slamming their doors all hours the night people constantly going in and out being loud in the hall the worst part was hearing the stomping and creaking floor of the room above us kept us up all night the pool is only 4 ft deep not very big and the water looked greenish. The hot tub floor is broken up in places it wasn't very pretty quite small area not very welcoming. There was no instructions on how to use the waffle makers or how to use the batter machine. It was quite hard for a first time user like myself. The snack area wasn't very well stocked. I had a room right by the check-in area so I had to cross through there in my swimsuit which was kind of uncomfortable. The wifi was hard to access I had to ask for help and once on it was very slow.

The bedding seems old and tired. Sheets had holes and pillows/pillowcases had a very bad odor of body oil smells feeling very unclean.

Staff No batteries in our TV remote. No coffee in our room. When we got a coffee packet, the coffee maker didn’t work. The breakfast would have been good, if it had been at least warm

The hotel stay was ok. They have the regular breakfast like all other Marriotts. The only thing they lack is not enough towels in the room for each family member. They only provide a few towels per room, and I had to go downstairs and get extra towels for my family each night. Secondly, the room phone was not working.

Clean, easy to reach location. Check-in person not very helpful. When I arrived, he said he couldn’t find the reservation and didn’t even look at the reservation number. He asked my name three times, barely glanced at my ID, and acted very indifferent about helping. Told me it “sometimes takes awhile” for the reservation to show up, “…as much as a half hour.” When I pointed out I had received the confirmation as well as a message from the facility regarding my reservation more than a half hour ago, he then asked my first name and suddenly found it, stating “they put it under your first name so I couldn’t find it.”

Quiet, clean an comfortable. Although the hotel was not full, we appeared to get the smallest room on the floor. Still, it was comfortable. The eco friendliness meant that they capped the airconditioning overnight, so it was a little stuffy in the room while sleeping. This hotel is in serious need of remodeling. There were very noticeable spots on the lamp shad in the room. Scratches on very worn out furniture. Good customer service, but hotel just needs a renovation pretty desperately. Small gym, but par for the course at most hotels this size.

The hotel was overall a good place to stay (we have stayed there twice). There was some leftover trash on the floor of our room, but the staff seemed to take it seriously and said they would notify management.

The stay was good; however I wasn’t given the room I requested, which was a handicap accessible accommodation. The only reason I didn’t complain was because the person that required the accessible accommodations was not able to make the trip.

Hotel is in good condition, clean, good breakfast, good size room but the beds was full size (not big enough for me and wife) with a super soft mattress which gave me a back pain. The bath was good size with good water pressure. A bad pipe noise was coming from the bath wall all night long. Hotel has a lot off space for parking. Overall, a good place to stay.

I fail to see why Marriott cannot provide more plush beds. Not enough towels for three people in the room. Eggs were odd- had strange taste. Fortunately the staff were exceedingly pleasant.

Could use a soap dish near the sink. A night light would be nice in the bathroom. We checked in on a Saturday the girl at the front desk was not very friendly, They had a good variety of food. Coffee pots that were outside the dining area ran out and they had two coffee pots. Asked the dining attendant on Sunday and she told me to talk to the front desk. She was pretty rude. The checkout person on Sunday was very nice.
