Best Western Plus Harrisonburg

I didn’t find the evening staff at the desk to be helpful. The pool wasn’t working and neither did the tv in the room. When I asked about the tv it was as if I was an inconvenience.

The Room was nice, however, the noise (TV) from other rooms could be heard. The Heat/AC Unit was not consistent, too hot, then too cold, could not get a comfortable temperature.

The bed was comfy, the location was perfect for our traveling needs, the breakfast was decent, and the staff were kind and efficient. The handheld shower hooked onto the sliding fastener did not work properly and was too low for anyone over 5 foot 4 to wash their head/hair.

Hotel was fresh looking, clean, up to date. Breakfast was limited- not may yogurts or bread in the case; "eggs" did not look like eggs other than being round yellow cooked things (no appetizing looking at all). Waffles are great but only one unit for all those trying to eat at the same time. Hoteo lobby coffee when I checked in at 9pm was lukewarm at best (poured it out).

The first time we came here we loved it, this time it was ok. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and breakfast was good. Towels seem to need to be washed better. Sheets as well. But overall I would stay again.

As far as breakfast there was nothing we go down and two biscuits some dry little bit of scrambled eggs no Meats no nothing no fruit nothing so we had to pay to go have breakfast next door both days Saturday and Sunday on top of that I've already been talking to corporate and I have my bank I went in and after we checked in and was in the room straightened out we noticed the smoke detector was hanging from the wall no lid on it wire is hanging out I called down and asked for it to be changed to another room which they would not do said that somebody'd be up to fix it no one came called again they said they'll be somebody there early first thing Saturday morning no one came they wouldn't trade rooms they got belligerent with me because I was upset about it being in a room with a non-working smoke detector is illegal to start with in a hotel when I said that they got even more belligerent with me checked out Sunday then I noticed they charged me another $100 Sunday tried to find out why they said they were going to call their accountant someone called me Monday saying they were the accountant which I don't believe these two men put this charge in themselves they knew what it was for I was told that the reason I got charged is because when maintenance went in there was no smoke detector in the room it was gone I'm a 78 year old woman there's no way in you know what that I could climb the wall on any furniture and get up to the ceiling to remove something and why would I

The breakfast was better than most motels. When we left a day early and went home. On 3rd floor when asked for 1st. Didn't give us handicap accessible. Beds where too high for a disabled person to get into even with the stool they provide. Beware all disabled people were put on the 3rd floor. Had trouble with tv,called front desk.fella came to room (twice), he had no clue.left and said he would be back,did not happen.Also the height of the beds was extrodinarily high,my wife needed a foot-stool and me(6’1”) also had difficulty

The paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling when we got there, the room smelled musty but we turned the air on and that fixed the problem. And the breakfast had a terrible selection I ALWAYS eat hotel breakfast but we took one look at it and went somewhere else. There was no selection and mostly everything was empty. I only saw one worker the whole time I was there at the front desk and taking care of the breakfast station that’s all

Lobby had stained carpet and carpet in hallway needed vaccuuming. Room was good-sized and clean. Desk chair was a little shabby. The TV cable-service sucked. Weird channels, no network stations or local news. Wi-fi was ok. Shower had an adjustable hand-held head. Kept falling off of the holder and wouldn't stay aimed to use easily. Free breakfast was average. Other nearby options would be a better choice for me in the future. Close to a lot of restaurants, interstate and some attractions.

The breakfast was less than ok. The coffee was very cheap. The hotel is new and well maintained , but with some issues. The aircondition was loud. Running water made very loud noise, even in neighboring rooms. Very annoying. The toiletry was enough for one person only. The bedroom was nice and big and the bed was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was quite big, but poorly designed. Quite big, but very little room to put your toiletries on. For the price , it’s good. The receptionist can be a bit nicer and more welcoming. You will get no help from him.

The breakfast was basic but good. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great value for a short stay. Not a big deal but our TV had no picture, only sound. We weren’t really there long enough to watch TV, but it wasn’t working properly.

Breakfast was amazing and way beyond our expectations of a continental breakfast by far! Staff was also very friendly and accommodating while trying to help us book reservations for dinner!

almost everything. staff, cleanliness and location. no exhaust vent in bathroom or not working. cheap cheap cheap non adjustable showeehead. shower head would only run firehose wide open when adjusted for temperature. you've got to be kidding me. in a place this nice someone stopped $1.50 short on two items that that probably in the top 5% of all items that contribute to a travelers comfort. let me know the plan to resolve.

Breakfast was great. Lots of choices from eggs, waffles to muffins and cereal. The breakfast was filling. Very nice, comfortable eating area.

Good location. Enough pillows. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. When I brought it to their attention they sent someone to clean it but when it didn't all come off, they stopped trying. One of the two bedside lights wasn't working (neither was the desk lamp); asked for that to be fixed as both bedside lamps were needed. Returned 12 hours later, no one had been in the room. At that point we had to move to another room. I was there 6 nights and the room was serviced only twice. The second time I had to ask since I was needing towels and it still wasn't done. The room finally got serviced the last day I was there but they still didn't remove all the dirty towels or restock the coffee. When I spoke to the manager at checkout, he was rude. I was offered NO compensation and made to feel as though my requests were unreasonable. When I told him the room wasn't serviced (after he himself told me it was supposed to be done every day) his response was, "But I offered you extra towels." I strongly suspect that the problems came from poor employment practices. They consistently had only one housekeeper for the entire hotel. One person couldn't possibly keep up with the workload and provide guests with the basics of a quality hotel stay. In fact, when I was waiting to check out, the manager was having a loud phone conversation berating the housekeeping staff. It's upsetting that complaining about the service here might result in problems for staff members who are clearly already being treated poorly. I asked to be refunded for one night and was told they *can't* do that. When I said I'd be contacting the corporate office, rude manager said that it was privately owned and refused to give information on how to escalate a complaint. As a result of this, I will never stay at a BW again. It used to be a good hotel. Never again. Shouldn't have had to repeatedly ask for the bare basics.

There was sausage gravy and biscuits but the gravy looked like it had been sitting there for quite sometime. The bread/pastery cabinet was lacking. There were 3 yogurts in the fridge and no eggs. No strawberry jam. It was very low quality overall. The elevator smelled of maranjuana as well.

When you walk in the facility it is very stark & unwelcoming. The receptionist was very nice & efficient. The hook that holds the shower head was broken so you had to hold the wand while trying to shower. What happened to the plain old stationary shower heads. Why switch to a hand held shower head? The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. When I went for breakfast around 8:30 A.M. the staff was having breakfast & in the way of customers trying to get their food. If the staff is going to eat breakfast it should be before or after the paying customers have eaten.

Nice hotel close to major highway. The room stayed very damp despite the ac running. I was moved to a new room on day 2 and the updates were nicer there. I think the aca need to be maintained so they dry the air.

I’ve stayed at many BW Plus hotels and this one was was definitely not up to par with my previous positive experiences I’ve come to expect. Overheard a manager talking about being understaffed while sending home an employee saying they were cutting hours??? Better choices in the area

It was fine for a place to get some sleep. Sheets were clean, bathrooms were clean and the staff were very nice. Convenient for getting gas and right back on the highway the next morning.

The shower curtain was too short and when I stepped out of the shower, water had covered 1/3 of the floor. I threw all the available towels onto the floor since it was now a fall hazard. When checking out, I informed the front desk person. His response....I've been here 4 years and no one has ever complained before. This hotel is off my list to revisit.

There was mold everywhere in each of the rooms we checked into. Mold was also in the and coming out of the bathroom vent. Management refused to refund and also lied to Expedia when they said there was none. I tried three rooms all had the same issues. This was a terrible hotel, the front door didn’t work and also smelled liked smoke everywhere. I’ve never complained about a hotel or business until now but I’d never ever stay there or use best western again. The manager said they would do what they did when Expedia called and inquired and unfortunately they lied about the mold in the room

This is the second time we have stayed here and it is very nice. Pillows and mattresses are ok, but not the greatest, otherwise I would have given it five stars. Very helpful staff. Conveniently located between Bridgewater and JMU.

Clean, comfortable, and friendly stay. I did ask about getting a late checkout for 1 pm vice 11 am and was hit with all types of potential, excessive charges so declined that. Other than that, good stay.

Did not like going into bathroom water damage never had a problem before just seem like why would you put someone in a room in the bathroom let alone them having to see this should have just been fixed... and the lights are low Watts now in the bedroom so should have been a sign they changed the bulbs to know what need better lighting

The price and location was good. Not so good: we had the handicapped room #104. The bed was TERRIBLE! I told the desk person and she offered another room but it was not handicapped. So…. Just don’t stay in room #104. I don’t know the conditions of the mattresses in the other rooms.

Welcoming staff. Lovely room. Decent continental breakfast. There is a small pool and clean workout facility. Couldn’t find the “spa”.

Due to weather conditions, we had to modify our plans very last minute, we were leaving from Montreal and going to Cocoa florida. We contacted customer support, who contacted the hotel to cancel our reservation, which was past the delay, and it was none negotiable to reimburse us, this was very deceiving considering the last minute change of plan which was for our own security.

We were just in town for one night during a busy weekend. The room was big, the bed. Was great. Everything was very clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast which started very early. Which we appreciated.

The hotel was priced similarly to the hotels around it. It’s lit and decorated as an upgraded property. It even has been refurbished. The proof is in the pudding though. We sank into bed and slept badly. The lighting in the room was dim and uncomfortable and there is 0 ventilation in the bathroom, so it turns into a sauna the moment you have any steam. It’s those details that really end up mattering. Can I sleep well, can I get ready in comfort around a shared bathroom.

Our stay was great! The pool was just a little chilly but the kids didn't mind. Our room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Only a 5-10 minute drive to great food spots.

I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Harrisburg. One of the highlights was the heated pool—it was the perfect way to relax after a long day. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast offered a great variety of options. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. The convenient location also made it easy to explore nearby attractions. I highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again.

I stayed there because they had an indoor pool but when I went to go to the pool to my disappointment the pool was out of order.

Very cozy bed! Better than most hotels. Decent breakfast bar, was hoping for something a lil different on day 2 but no big deal. Did feel a a little uneasy at check-in being asked many personal questions....it was very odd.

Dawn in reception was tremendous. She came over and talked to my daughters and they ended up hugging her goodbye. The breakfast room left some to be desired with a bunch of two person tables spread out and hard to sit together as a family of 4 but the couch in the middle near the fireplace was super nice.

It was a nice clean place to stay. The king bed was comfortable and offered different pillows which we were happy about. We would stay there again.

Everything was great. Breakfast was the absolute best I’ve had in a hotel since pre-covid. However, the coffee was the worst I’ve ever had anywhere! Absolutely horrible coffed

First room we entered the heat did not work. The second room the T V did not work. The third room the TV kept cutting off. We were too tired to keep moving rooms. The breakfast was good, room was clean and bed was comfortable.
