The property was great. However, there was a horrible smell in the room.

Overall I think if there is not daily housekeeping services then extra supplies should be in the room.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer, very helpful. Bedding was clean as was the bathroom. It says it’s a nonsmoking, however you can’t take what once was a smoking facility and just say it isn’t anymore. It smells of an old building that once allowed it and has changed directions. The room smelled of stale smoke and felt old and worn, definitely in need of some freshening up.

I had a clean room, bathroom, beds, and floors. I only have two complaints, the garage disposal needed to be cleaned out BADLY. It had the room smelling awful & if you’d go near the sink it was so strong it literally had me gagging! I did leave a note to the housekeeper on the little card that was in the room about that garbage disposal needing to be cleaned badly, it was also a empty beer can in one of the bathroom drawers. I took it out and threw it in the trash can. But other than them two things I have zero other complaints!

Rooms look like the pictures….20 years ago. Was giving american horror story vibes. free laundry tho. was moved rooms bc the first had tar on the walls and was dirty! second room? same thing. ended up having to find another hotel last minute

Booked this last minute to visit my daughter who is a sailor in the navy. This was one of the more economical places I looked at and I was a little worried about how nice it would be. There is plenty of parking and the woman at the front desk was very upbeat and welcoming. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and they have little kitchens which if I were staying more than 1 night I might have used. The shower was great and the ac was cold. They have a very comfortable recliner which was nice to plop down on after my drive. Would totally stay here again.

Typically an extended stay place to stay but I found most hotels were too pricey for one night. Clean and comfortable with efficiency kitchen which worked well to refresher some freezer packs for my cooler and keep my fruit cool and fresh!

Honestly, dollar for dollar, I get the most out of my stays at Sonesta. Just having a cooktop, for me, is a game changer. I stay in hotels quite often and there's always an added cost of eating out. With the cooktop and dishes I can just cook a quick easy meal for myself. The furnishings are modern and make sense. It didn't have the nicest or most expensive looking stuff but it made it feel more like a home and less like it was trying to impress me with cheap tricks and facade. The staff were warm and helpful from management and the front desk attendants down to the cleaners.

I was actually surprised to find a kitchen in my room, though I didn’t use it. The fridge worked but it was a bit loud. The bathroom was clean and the hot water was immediate and had good pressure. What I really enjoyed was the peace and quiet. I stayed in Hampton that night for a race which conveniently was about 5 mins away. Anyway, the window view of my room was the lake, unlike previous hotels where my room faced a busy parking lot or street. I absolutely loved it. I don’t usually sleep well before a race and having a peaceful setting like that really helped. I didn’t have a chance to check the other amenities like the fitness or laundry room but it looked relatively clean and organized. The location was also convenient to restaurants and retail shops too. That was a big plus as I found a nice sushi restaurant with a very short drive. Next time for the race (or any race in the area), I know where I’ll be staying.

I stayed here for the New Edition concert. The room layout was nice and provided privacy for individuals. The staff are very friendly and will assist with anything you need. I plan on coming back. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I had originally booked a studio, and to my surprise, I was upgraded to a one‑bedroom at check‑in. I needed a quiet place to rest and unplug, and this turned out to be the perfect spot. The kitchen was fully equipped, the air conditioning worked flawlessly, and the property is conveniently close to restaurants and only about a 20‑minute drive from Bayshore Beach and various historical sites.

I had a great time and will be staying here again.

This was an extended stay hotel. The room have yet to be renovated, but they were very clean much better upkeep than when it was an extended. Staff was great and a small be but nice wirkout room.

The property seemed quiet and safe . The unit was a nice size and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes . The bedding and towels seemed clean . There was mold in our bathroom and the tile was really dirty. I walked around on the carpet with my white socks and they were pretty much black. The carpets really need to be cleaned. Lots of the vents were caked with dust. I saw a small roach in the kitchen sink area. All throughout the hallways it smelled like marijuana . I would not stay there again.

Rooms definitely need a facelift. Very musty old carpet, my bedroom door was falling off the hinges, tons of patchwork/damage to walls/doors, old furniture. Even just changing furniture and slapping some cheap flooring down would be a huge help. It’s in a safe area, and not a bad place to stop and rest for a night or two, but if you’re looking for something updated this is not for you. I didn’t mind it, I only needed to sleep two nights here for work, and I’m not much of a hotel snob. But I would say for the price, I expected a little more.

I have been staying here every month for the last 6 months. I come back because the staff is friendly, bedding is comfortable and the bathroom vanity is large. They provide laundry baskets which is super convenient for longer stays. They have kitchen appliances on demand.

Overall stay was ok. Quiet area. I was placed on the first floor very noisy at night! Also, this is an “extended stay” so don’t expect your room to be cleaned given fresh towels if you’re only staying one night. However I did receive fresh towels when I asked the front desk.

Mixed review. Lots of dog poop not collected and disposed of. Room was clean but a bit on the shabby side (toilet wouldn't refill without some help, sink was cracked in multiple places, kitchen faucet was leaking significantly at the base and the room smelled like pot). The room was great. Had kitchen area that was fine for what I needed. The only issue was that when the refrigerator ran it was very loud! The first night I was bothered by it when I was sleeping, but then I got used to it and it was okay. Of course, I had to turn up the TV volume whenever the fridge was running. Other than that everything else was nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The location was nice. Close to shopping and food locations.

This was a nice, budget hotel to stay in. The facilities and room was very clean. It was nice to have a kitchen available, even though we were only there for one night. The location is nice and mainly quiet. But there is an air base nearby, and it can get loud when planes are taking off and landing. We experienced about 30 minutes of that, but it was quiet thereafter.

Rarely there was plane noise from the base, but not during sleeping hours. Keep in mind that housekeeping doesn't come every day, not that important to us. We would definitely stay again.

What happened at your hotel was beyond unacceptable, especially for a place that claims to be under new management. The conditions and behavior I witnessed were shocking. I personally heard front desk staff mocking guests and speaking about them with complete disrespect. One employee even said she would spit in a guest’s belongings, which is disgusting, unprofessional, and a serious health and safety violation. She also lied to customers by claiming certain items “weren’t available” simply because she didn’t like them. My room conditions were unhygienic and disturbing: The toilet did not work properly. The room was dirty and clearly not cleaned before I arrived. There were visible stains on the bedding and covers — yuck. Basic essentials were missing, and staff had to go into another room just to bring me what should have already been provided.

Staff friendly, room comfortable. The toilet clogged so I went to the desk to ask for a plunger. No questions asked. The gentleman reached around the corner and handed me a plunger in a garbage bag. He asked me to return it when I was through. While returning it another guest stopped me and asked if she could use it next. Clearly an issue with your plumbing. FIX IT.

I called to verify that my incidental fee being sent back was initiated. I spoke with Karen and was told yes. Its been a week and i havent gotten it back. I have video proof on my rooms condition on the day of checkout. I will be speaking with my bank one more time before taking this further. Besides not giving me my incidental back..the rooms were dirty. Especially the bathroom.

The room was really clean and the staff was nice. It was almost a perfect stay until the morning of the third day when we found a roach in the bathroom. We left immediately and asked for a refund. Imagine our surprise when they didn’t even fully refund us for the night we weren’t there. I shouldn’t have to live with your bugs or pay for anytime that I was not there especially when you’ll tune around and rent out that same room that night. We left at 11ish which was plenty of time to clean and hopefully spray roach spray. So why were we only partially refunded?

When we walked in it didn’t have that clean hotel smell. We found the bathroom basket inside the lower cabinet with garbage in it. However the staff was courteous.

This will be our home away from only issue is a Virginia issue now it’s more and more like California every once in a while get a wif of pot out side, and once a while inside in the. Hall. Rooms are clean and fresh no orders other than your own cooking. Really enjoyed my stays.

The room was ok. Nothing to rave about. Old TV, gap in the door to hallway. Dirty, bad smell in the (1) elevator. Slow elevators. The personnel in the front were friendly enough when you could find someone. Overall i am glad i found a place to stay but would not stay here again aside from needing to go somewhere familiar. Best part was ffree use of laundry machines. The facility should be updated severely.

Tub was not clean. Fridge worked but was dented and damaged, freezer and ice maker did not work at all. No ice machine on property. "Pond view" I was promised was completed obstructed by a large tree. On par with your typical Choice hotel stay. Wouldn't recommend, but better than other options in the area.

I checked in late after a long travel day. The room that I was in initially smelled like marijuana. The front desk moved me to another room, but the bedding was dirty and I was too tired. I slept in my clothes as to not touch the bedding on my skin and checked out next day and got another room. There was no one at front desk the housekeeping had to take my email and I left. The property needs an upgrade. The door does not sit close to the seal so it’s a big gap when you close the door and that was uncomfortable as a lady staying alone

The room was actually fine maybe a bit outdated and then the carpet smelled like mold. I don't think there was any mold, just that damp smell. They need to get rid of all carpet, only half the room is carpeted anyway, just get rid of all of it.

Room was very clean and staff was extremely helpful with questions I had. Only thing was the people above me were up all night walking around and being loud which kept waking me up most of the night but other than that it was a great stay and definitely will come back again when I’m in town

Pet friendly and plenty of restaurants, gas stations and shopping just a couple miles away. Its right by the naval base so will see and hear a lot of fighter jet training flyovers during the day.

Everyone with whom we interacted was friendly, outgoing, and helpful. I lost a key card the first day and getting a new one took only a few seconds. The room was clean, and the ice maker in the refrigerator was very much appreciated. Most importantly, it was nice and quiet. I would, without hesitation, happily stay here again.

We arrived late in the night and just wanted to get in and go to bed. The air conditioner barely worked so we were warm through the night. When we woke up the next morning we expected a coffee station near the lobby and were informed there was not. We needed to use the coffee pot in our room. We went back up to make coffee and the pot was not working. Called the front desk and the young girl at the desk by the name of Easter said she would send a new pot. After 20 min we did not receive a new pot so we called and again Easter picked up the phone and said (with an attitude) i am working on getting you a new pot and hung up. A few minutes later Easter called back and asked us to check the plug to make sure it didnt need to be reset. We explained we already tried that she again hung up on us. I returned the call and asked her if there was a problem as she continued to hang up on us and why her attitude was so unprofessional and she replied that she did not have an attitude. Finally housekeeping showed up with a new pot and we tried the same plug and it did not work. We tried a completely different outlet and it worked. The ladies apologized for the inconvenience and were very pleasant. Now back to the room. This hotel was very run down. There were cracks in the wall and carpet was worn out. There were only 2 coffee cups(and 1 was dirty) there was no glassware and the silverware was dirty. The tub would not drain properly. No dish towels.

Due to the on going construction on the property upon pulling into the parking lot I received a gash in my tire causing me to have to replace my car tire. Also there was nobody available to fix my stopped up toilet upon entering the room, I was told by the front desk that no person from maintenance was on duty and told me to come pick up a plunger.

Clean, affordable and convenient. Stay was great and as expected. Enjoyed that hotel was located within business park-away from hustle and bustle, yet still convenient to dining and shopping. Front desk was polite and efficient. Only negative was lingering cars playing loud music at presumed shift change for staff. Would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel however they don't offer breakfast and you can cook in the room but there was not a pan or many utensils available. Also a small TV with very few channels . The outside area around back was nice if you sit outside at night close to the duck pond . More lighting is needed. Overall it was nice but better accomodations could be used.

This is a very attractive property, but this review is focused on their staff. After I ran into an unexpected change in travel plans, Shannon and Nicole worked with me to resolve the issue. That is the kind of service that separates a good hotel from an average hotel.

Since it's not close to real grocery stores, the on-site store could have been better. And I appreciate a working clock so my phone doesnt have to do double duty as alarm, overseer. Easy to find and friendly staff!

Icemaker didnt work but they sent a tech to fix it but we left before it could be fixed.

Although the property is in a business area it was very quiet. Don’t expect to be able to walk for food or shopping. I was a little disappointed in the building in its entirety. It was dated and a little uneasy. It seems they have patched an older building with little to no upgrade. It could definitely use an upgrade to bathrooms and equipment/appliances. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant, but don’t see us revisiting.

Property appears a lil bit dated but served its purpose for a 1 night quick stay. Overall was comfortable, felt safe, staff was very kind and helpful. It appeared clean which is very important to me but had a bleach smell that I wish wasn’t so noticeable. Great location and accessibility to highway and local sights.

Front desk person was rude and I have never stayed at a hotel where if you need extra towels you had to bring the wet dirty towel back to the desk to get a new one. I will never stayed at this place again!

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a guest a tall and creepy man smoking weed by the guest entrance. He immediately came up to me and my two young children and asked me if my young sons were harrassing his wife or boyfriend with their Pitbull? I replied back hun? Sir my boys would never they are not thugs. I also reminded him that he watched us pull into the parking lot with our luggage. He then apologized.. upon arrival and granted I understand I was on the 1st floor but it sounded like the green giant was skipping around. I notified office and they said sorry the man is extremely big and the walls and floors are old? Please be aware of this ghetto hotel. I never had to write a bad review like this I just wanted to warn people.

Check-in was smooth. Staff friendly and helpful. Ultra clean rooms (we had 2). Lots of amenities, including laundry and very nice gym. Convenient to beach, dining, etc.

The price was reasonable, need more amenities such as breakfast and a pool for summertime use.

This place was fine for a quick one night stay. The place is old and dated but VERY clean. The room was a decent size, the AC worked great, fridge made ice, bathroom had great products. So all of the baseline amenities were fine. The hotel was just very outdated and dingy… not at all dirty… just old looking. Also, I was very disappointed that early check in was $15 extra. I get paying more if you check out late because you are holding up the cleaning staff and delaying the next persons check in but I just wanted to check in early to use the bathroom and the room was ready! Why charge? I asked if the fee could be waived as there was exactly 2 other cars in the lot besides me so I knew rooms were likely abundant but they couldn’t. Besides that, staff were not unfriendly, just not extra friendly either. Also noted that they are apparently pet friendly and had a dog mat with water in the entry which was a nice touch.

Clean and well-kept property with friendly and helpful staff. I recommend this stay for anyone (with or without your fur babies).

Service was amazing until checkout, granted I did leave around 5 am but the lady didn’t give me my an receipt and claimed I’m the third party so I don’t get one although I always stay at that particular hotel and get a receipt. My comforter had buggers from previous guest hardly stuck to them.

The price was on the money for a 4 night stay. I was in town for my 50th high school reunion and this place was perfect for my venue.

Looks like the complex was recently renovated. My room was clean and quiet and comfortable. Stayed on the first floor and wasn't disturbed by internal or external noise.

The staff were very welcoming & nice!
