Spacious and not alot of noise The room needed alot of renovations including the door. It had dents in it near the lock and alot of bad paint jobs throughout the room. The box springs on the beds were worn and discolored.

Can’t really say what I liked about my stay being as that my reservation was cancelled 30 minutes after making it also called Hyatt just to find out they had no rooms available on a Wednesday Actually being able to stay

Overall place was excellent. I did have my dog with me that is a plus when they are pet friendly. Breakfast was good. Lots to choose from. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

From the friendly and helpful check in experience to the well lit free parking on property our overnight stay while in Hampton VA for a concert was wonderful. We were an easy 5 minute walk to the Colosseum. Our room (Rm 221) was spacious, clean, quiet, and had the most comfortable king bed. My husband and I will definitely be back!

Miss Renee at the front desk when we checked in was amazing! She’s so happy, friendly, kind, and accommodating. I think your front desk person can really make or break your experience and she was a joy with amazing customer service. We were there for a sand soccer tournament and all the staff were kind to our team members that stayed there. Will def be staying there again!

The facilities were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh and did not disappoint. The pool was very clean. The staff were incredibly personable and kind. The room was exactly as described online and was large enough for our big family. The water pressure in our room was not very strong. Other than that, it was wonderful!

The room felt clean for the most part, the linens were clean and bathroom was also. But staff need to pay greater attention to detail. The walls are stained, bed sheets very sloppily made, some small pieces of trash not picked up, and the throw pillows not arranged but just laid on the couch. Breakfast was good, very nice and clean breakfast room with lots of options of food and drink. The bar area in the seating area had a terrible roof leak so the constant dripping noise and view of sopping wet towels was a bit off putting. Overall we slept well and had our general needs met but failed to see the reason this place is rated as “excellent”.

Hotel was nice. We had issues getting the deadbolt to work. Door was ajar when we arrived and some items were left out from housekeeping we assume (bag with extra pillow and blankets sitting on the couch) we placed it back in the closet and that was the only downsides to our stay. They accommodated us and our service dog well. During check in; the gentleman found an error thanks to hotels.com but he fixed it. I will never use a third party site again. Hotels.com was high key a pain with resolving an issue and then didn’t even fix it after charging me more for the issue to be fixed. Only stayed one night. Hotel get a solid 9/10 for me. High quality in Hampton roads. Hotels.com you get a solid 2/10 😒 do better

Location was great and near EVERYTHING. The only thing I did not like was the fact that parking is in the rear of the hotel. We were not able to get breakfast but that was not the fault of the hotel.

Incredibly nice staff, clean and comfortable. The walls were thin so you could hear a lot, but it was just people walking to their rooms, children giggling and such. Everyone abided by the quiet hours. The parking area in between hotels was messy, but that may be the responsibility of the neighboring hotel.

We wanted to be in the Hampton area for a concert. Hyatt was perfect, the room was so clean and the staff was top tier. The only thing I did not like was the food. The wings were a nightmare, my Caesar salad was trash. But our bartender was so kindled. Mr. Dana was so professional and kind. We will be back I just won’t order food lol. They have these peanut butter cookies though they are to die for!! Overall great place to stay!! And affordable

This was my very first stay at the Hyatt Place. My next visit to the area and your location will definitely be my choice. And the breakfast was great. The parking in the back.

Location is good room is nice as a king handicap big with a little living area but I thought I did detect smell of smoke and this hotel allows people to smoke in their room if they want possibly I don’t like that Has stated this hotel allows people to smoke in their room. I think I should’ve requested a room that was never rented a smoking.

We had issues connecting our phones to the TV which was the only way to stream things. I haven't been in a hotel for a long time that didn't have some form of streaming. Staff came and said they would try and help and then never came back to follow up. Other than that it was a fine stay. No complaints.

Staff were excellent. A few minor issues (iron leaking, phone not working in room, lock not working properly). The room was “clean”. The carpets could use a shampoo along with the couch which had multiple stains and spots. Overall it was comfortable enough.

Internet was not working for entire trip in hotel.

I reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. I was traveling with a family member who I listed as a guest. We both had our children with us- hence the reservation for 2 queen beds×2. We check in only to be told they were sold out and only had King rooms available with a pull out couch. We wanted both rooms to be paid for with one card and was told that there were two reservations, although I am the one who made them on a single request in the system. The front desk clerk said he could charge both rooms to one card but would two.seperate charges. That didn't happen. The morning crew tried to help but quickly realized that the issue was supervisor worthy and they did advise the supervisor (who wasn't on the premises) and advised I could try to call her. In my opinion if the supervisor is made aware of an issue that the front desk staff can't fix or control, she should have been planning to reach out to me as an unsatisfied customer. The rooms are extremely small. The pull out coach that they taut as a bed is super flimsy and sinks literally to the bottom in the middle. My room specifically had a leak from the bathroom fan that we didnt report because what were they going to do about it? Their excuse as to why we were not given the rooms we requested was that they were sold out so it isn't like they would move us. We came down here to have a good experience of visiting a University and having some fun with the kids and this did put a damper on that. Ironically, when my son found out we were staying at the the Hyatt Place, he promptly told me that they were terrible because he used to stay in them in Maryland when his father would visit. At least they are consistent in that. I am so disappointed. This problem wasn't a staff issue, it was a technology, workflow and process deficit and breakdown. The staff were professional and pleasant.

Our rooms were clean although missing a pillowcase for the pullout couch and the shower flower mate. The room offered plenty of space and comfortable. The view was very nice. The breakfast had many options and very clean eating area. Breakfast time was from 6:30-9am. It would have been nice to have breakfast until 10am just to cut down the congestion of people right before breakfast was over.

Could not clock in rooms where not clean until a hour later toilet didn't work had to get Marianne in to fix it walls wherent strong leaned on wall an it almost fell just wasn't up to the value of a Hyatt hotel

This hotel had reasonable prices, large rooms, clean facilities, and friendly staff. We had an excellent stay and would definitely return.

I did enjoy the breakfast. I do think daily they should offer a non pork option. I enjoy pork but for medical reasons my husband can not. My card charges were confused and the refund process is longer than it should be. I complained about the slow drainage in the sink from Sunday to my Thursday check out and it was not addressed. Check the sink in room 344.

This hotel is excellent! Everything was great from the entrance to my room. The Hyatt will definitely be my go to in Hampton.

The hotel was clean and meticulous. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The free breakfast was very good; much better than the average free breakfast. The hotel is nicely designed and offers seating areas to socialize or work. There were really nicely appointed small sitting areas in the lobby. There was also a small bar in the lobby. There was a restaurant but I didn’t visit. Nothing.

Bed and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable, breakfast was cheap and gross. Powdered eggs and microwaved pancakes. For the price in that area you would expect a nicer hotel. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Should be $100 a night tops with how awful the bed was

The hotel was noisy. I did feel it was a little over priced. I'm a travel agent so I stay at and hear about a lot of hotels and for the price you would expect something a little nicer. We stayed at another hotel the night before for 50.00 less and the bed was way more comfortable and the pillows were nicer.

The AC was absolutely perfect ✨ which made the room really comfortable. The beds were cozy, the shower got nice and hot, and they provided a good amount of towels for our stay. The pool area was nice. My son said the water felt warm, which he loved. Just something to note — the pool closes at 8 PM and opens at 10 AM. Breakfast was okay. I do wish they had a waffle maker option because the waffles that were provided were pretty hard. The eggs were also a little watery at the bottom, and I wish there were more non-pork options available. The location was nice and convenient, and parking was free in the lot right behind the hotel. You will need your key card throughout your stay to access the elevators and different areas of the hotel. Overall, we had a nice stay and the hotel worked well for what we needed.

Wouldn’t give us cleaning service; told us come get it ourselves when the blankets had actual BLOOD on them; dismissive when we tried to get a resolution; argued about sandwiches; two breakfast staff staring as hard as they can at us rudely. Literally the worst staff I’ve ever dealt with. Room: blood on the blankets, everything filthy, when we had to get our own material the replacements were also dirty. The supposed “divider” is a panel of glass about 12” wide. Pool: filled with dirt, walls made me think disease, not a single pool towel. Breakfast: cracked my tooth on a non food item inside the home fries. Everything cold. The “restaurant”: just look at the pics- they advertise a fantastic meal, but the cold abomination they served us was brought back to them only to be met with rudeness, dismissiveness, and attitude. This staff and this experience was not in line with what I expect from the Hyatt and it was one of the worst stays we’ve ever had. 0/10. Just No.

When we arrived, one of the elevators were not working. When we checked into our room the sofa bed had multiple dark stains all over the sofa.When we went back down to the front desk we informed them of the condition of the room. Then much to our dismay, the second elevator was out of order so all of the patrons had to use the stairs for the rest of the evening.

The restaurants in the area are abysmal! I did not try the hotel bar/restaurant but it smelled decent so next time in town for work I will give it a go. There are tons of restaurants but mostly chain restaurants and even the chain places are MID at best. Beautiful hotel and the staff should get 6 stars! Definitely recommend staying at the hotel, just do A LOT of research before sitting down at just any restaurant, unless you are allergic to seasoning and flavor

Everything was great, I am very picky about cleanliness. every time i went down to the lobby, they were cleaning, When we arrived the room was spotless. The area where they served breakfast was spotless. We are planning on going back in the Spring of next year and we are planning on staying there again.

This will be my choice of hotel whenever I’m staying in this area. It was clean, great environment, and friendly staff. They made me feel comfortable and it felt like home. Recommend for a nice, comfortable, warm stay.

The location of the property related to key businesses in the area is very good.

Very convenient to both shopping and restaurants. Easy to get to off the highway but not so close that you can hear the traffic.

The property is in great shape. Check in/check out was easy and the desk staff were very attentive to the one maintenance issue I noted. If you arrive late, be aware that the parking is behind the building and the back doors may be locked, meaning you have to go around to the front so I would recommend driving to the front to check in first. I appreciated the breakfast which was fresh cooked and tasty.

My stay was horrible this time around. We had to call the front desk twice to complain about the room above our room (420 ) with the constant stumping and running on the floor which we could hear louldy through the ceiling. I ask the front desk if we could change our room after the first complaint but they said no other rooms were available. Later that night we had to call the front desk again because people above was stumping and running acros the floor again. Even after they were told to stop for second time, the person in the room above us stumped three times hard on the floor because we called the front desk.

One of the best hotels i experience. Great customer services, clean and well lite around the building. I would definitely stay again when visiting Hampton VA.

This property cancelled our reservation that was booked and paid for in advance to take walk-ins due to be sold out for college move-ins. The explanation was -due to a third party (Expedia) booking.

The room has no microwave to heat up food. Also, there are no usb ports in the rooms to connect to, you have to use the ones in the lobby. I also requested a King Suite and ended up with a double queen.

I absolutely love this place. We live in Hampton and this is the only hotel we will go to. Staff is super friendly. Hotel smells clean all the time. I don't want to go home

The hotel was great, we were looking forward to the continental breakfast. It was okay but they didn’t have a toaster and the options were limited. I wish they had a waffle station and that it didn’t open and close so early.

Upon arrival, we checked into our room and found that the images portrayed on expedia were borderline misleading. Although each image depicted the room, they definitely were carefully chosen to show the most optimistic interpretation of the accommodations. Although the room itself was a letdown, I was prepared to overlook it as there were other appealing aspects of staying at the Hyatt place including a complimentary buffet breakfast. Breakfast started out lukewarm, the selection was underwhelming and definitely paling in comparison to what I have envisioned, but I figured like the room it would serviceable enough to get by on for a few days. However, approximately 10 minutes after my family and I had sat down, and while we were in the middle of eating, the fire alarm went off. It continued sounding the alarm for approximately 20 to 30 minutes during the scheduled breakfast time that day. Most of the guests went outdoors to continue eating as the only thing directing them outside was the unbearable sound. The location is convenient for when attending the Hampton Colesium. The staff is friendly, and the facilities are clean.

Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. They tried to vary the breakfast offerings every day. I missed having tea/coffee available in the lobby throughout the day like some other hotels. Got woken up twice early by the fire alarm and had ti evacuate, apparently due to toaster incidents in the breakfast dining area. Otherwise it was a very good stay.

Ladies do not wear gloves while handling food, touching spoons with bare hands . They don’t wear hair nets either My room had significant stains, found one old piece of apple stuck to the wall in between the sofa and wall. Room needs touch up paint

1st time at this hotel, front desk associates were friendly, room was clean. The only issue I had was the next morning the fire alarm system malfunction from what i was told & woken many of the customers at 530-6am. I was hoping for compensation for 1 night stay or something. But due to policies I wasnt. Also they allow pets, so my 2nd night i kept hearing 2 barking dogs. So that was disappointing.

Fire alarm went off at 530 am and was still going off 4 hours later... I checked out. This was a big strike 3 after the diner being closed for a power issue and no safe in the room to secure my laptop.

The pool and staff were awesome. Breakfast staff was phenomenal.

Front desk staff and all employees were very welcoming. My only complaint is that I was woken up at 6am by visitors in the room above us as they were stomping and walking heavily. Maybe jumping as well. Felt like I was in an apartment. Breakfast also looked unappetizing.
