I stayed for three nights, and from the moment I arrived, there were issues. The carpet smelled like wet dogs, the elevators were unreliable, and by the second day both elevators were out of service, forcing guests to use the stairs. The room was not as clean as it should have been, with stained looking sheets, a patched leak in the bathroom ceiling, and dirt behind the toilet looking like feces. The shower didn’t work that well either. Even the phone was covered in grime when I wiped it down. I was very disappointed because I have always had positive experiences with Holiday Inn in the past. Unfortunately, I would not stay at this location again. On the positive side the grounds were kept clean and lots of parking available free of charge. Breakfast area was clean had a variety of food. The one exception was Michelle at the front desk. She was professional, helpful, and kind throughout my stay. She deserves recognition for her excellent customer service and was the highlight of an otherwise disappointing experience. Thank you, Michelle

The room was decent, but carpet seems to be filthy. The ceiling in our restroom had signs of leak from the top floor, but not properly fixed. The elevators were not properly maintained.

Austin was amazing and very professional. He made my stay feel like the best. The bathroom was not clean. There was hair in the tub. I could tell the bathroom was not clean at all.

The front desk staff were awesome and friendly. The area was great and close to the coliseum which was the reason why we were there. The room had a stale smell. There were toys and trash under ther pull out sofa and they were noticed when you are pulling the bed out. The shower walls couldve been scrubbed a lot better. There were guys outside on the patio area that were super loud being as our room was just above the patio area. You could hear them as if they were in the room with us.

The check-in was great. Austin did a fantastic job! Parking was very good. I especially liked how lit up the parking lot was at night. The room was ok. The bathroom vent needed to be cleaned. It was very dirty. Some of the caulking around the tub/shower and the doors could have been done a lot better than what was done. I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The morning staff were very friendly and professional as well. We enjoyed our stay.

The room we booked ended up having bed bugs. So my girlfriend and myself are covered in bites. The property manager offered to move us to another room, neither of us felt comfortable so we declined. We did get a full refund though.

Front office staff and the breakfast ladies were wonderful!

We got there late due to snow conditions and the reception was top of the line. The room was clean and we had everything we needed including a hot breakfast and good coffee!

This stay was absolutely pleasant. From the check in process to the checkout, the experience was great. I checked in late at night and the staff still had very wonderful service.

Ms. Donna greeted me in the most polite way. They advertised an indoor pool and when we arrived it was closed for maintenance. I was looking forward to swimming.

I got STUCK in the ELEVATOR twice and had to use the stairs. Thank God, I was on the second floor. Only one elevator was working with a Hotel the was full to compacity, not good.

The elevator was broken and we had to haul luggage up 5 flight of stairs. The beds were uncomfortable and the staff were not helpful at all.

The facility is slightly showing its age. However the staff is excellent .. friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast offers a nice choice .. we enjoyed the biscuits with sausage gravy. Will use the Holiday Inn Express on future visits to Hampton.

Front desk was excellent. Elevator floors and carpet were very dirty and worn. Rooms were very good and breakfast was good.

The handle in the shower need to be repaired. It was broken. Then the second day we were there the toilet blocked up no fault of ours. I told them late at night and they brought a plunger up. Normally any clog I’ve ever had could be cleared easily with a plunger to this never cleared. They had a major plumbing problem there.

The room was clean.All the staffs I came across from Front Desk to various departments had been very courteous, acknowledging our presence!! This is so important for any successful business!! NEKOCON ATTENDANT: Room was freezing the entire weekend as unit would not push out warm air after trying multiple times. The outside temperature was already cold and gets even colder at night. Also, switched the door sign to request towels and bedding refresh; service was two doors down when we left for the convention. Six hours later, we return and no refresh had been done.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating! Check in went smooth and my room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was a nice touch!!

Professional and personable staff, clean and affordable rooms, delightful variety at the breakfast bar, and the location was spot on for all my family's needs. Everything was truly wonderful, the only blemish was that the screws holding the body lotion and soaps in place were loose, and that in itself is nothing to complain about.

They also came in my room on Tuesday emptied the garbage, but didn’t sweep the bathroom floors, left towels but didn’t make the bed or leave any toilet tissue. I called downstairs to let them know and the front desk person said and I quote " that's crazy". This was my 2nd time staying at this particular hotel and I will not stay again. The best thing was the breakfast that they serve. The manager in charge of over seeing that the rooms/ facility are clean and needs to do a better job.

Our air conditioner was leaking which caused the carpet to be wet. Maintenance came fairly quickly to address the issue and even offered to move us.

It was a pleasure to stay here again. This our 3rf time staying at this property while dropping our daughter off at college. Austin and his southern hospitality keeps us coming back as well as the morning manager. She’s a joy. Breakfast is wonderful, beds comfortable and accessible shower was wonderful. We will be back in May for pickup.

The beds were comfortable and the room clean but the bathroom ceiling had a huge crack that seemed to have various bubbles forming - room 517. When we checked out, I did inform the front desk and they stated that they will take care of it immediately.

The room we checked into was occupied and we couldn't get in. It was strange to me that we had to accompany security as they tried to figure out what was gping on. That means carrying our belongings back and forth to the unit and front desk about 6 times before we were settled. To my understanding the hotel was booked to full capacity so there was no upgrade for our troubles and the room we were given had a bathroom that needed repairs. One elevator of two down. Second elevator hit or miss, not functioning well. Staff needed to stay by elevator to keep it in working order. The air conditioner unit was very loud, rumbling making it difficult to sleep. The toilet seat was so low my ten year old niece complained. The bathroom shower needs an explanation on how to use.

Austin was the perfect host! He checked us in and was very pleasant, polite, and respectful! He is the most humble person! We enjoyed all he done for us during our stay! The hotel breakfast was great! The experience was 10/10 will stay again!

The room we had was nice and clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, but the hotel itself could use some updates, and during our stay only one elevator was working and it was having problems where it kept getting stuck on the lobby. That was a little concerning.

The hotel was somewhat clean. I had to request for a second room because the first room I was given had mold in the AC unit (please see photo) however, the second room was up to par and clean with a “mold free” AC unit vent, hotel was decent for the price. The receptionist, Jerry and Michelle was very nice.

Its was in a good location for where I wanted to stay at ..... the breakfast wasn't good and the hotel only had one working elevator and it stopped working twice during my stay there so my wife and I had to use the stairs and my room was on the 4th floor

Friendly and polite staff. However, the hotel needs a deep cleaning and upkeep throughout the common areas. Floors, carpet and elevators are dirty. I had an amazing time. The front desk staff was amazing at check in, during my stay and at check out. The general manager was also great. The cleaning ladies were helpful in the mornings. The room was spacious and accommodating. Only problem I had but not a problem was the toilet is a little too low.

The bathroom remodeling was not the best. Ants were a concern.

It was a decent hotel and id say worth the money . It had an interesting smell on the hallways that was my only concern overall

We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel for a nekocon anime convention it was awesome no complaints everything was on point

My hotel stay at the Holiday Inn Express during homecoming weekend was very cozy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would book again in the near future.

Great staff, but there was only one elevator working.

Last minute booking because original place we booked was disgusting. Holiday inn rocked! Staff was extremely helpful, hotel was super clean and breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay again!

Poor housekeeping. Bathrooms dirty. Common spaces (halls, stairwells, etc.) unkept. Rude staff at breakfast who were eating the food themselves in the preparation room. Breakfast served cold.

Disliked mold on the bathroom ceiling due to no ventilation.
