I noticed stains on curtains and on the walls in the hallway leading to our room. Furniture and decor looked outdated. Also I did not enjoy paying $5 a night for self parking. Average experience.

Coffee available in lobby area. Nice breakfast area and selection.

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The only issue was that the room key card did not work and I had to go down to get it reset. Even after that it was hard to re-enter the room as the card did not consistently work.

Staff were great. Plenty of shops near by including restaurants. Did have to have my keycard reset multiple times, really only complaint.

I had a two bedroom reservation but they took it up on their own a gave me a king bed they gave me a 35 % off with a roll away that smelled like smoke and the room did to it should of been 50% or more off of my Fernandez the carpet was cut up my wife stated it was one of the worst hotels we have stayed at

The hotel aesthetics were a little dated and the carpet could have used a good shampoo.

Breakfast was fair. The sausage was terrible. Smoke/fire alarm went off. Thankfully, they work and detect smoke. Unfortunately, it was people smoking pot in their room at 12:30 am, and we had to evacuate out with the fire department clearing the hotel. I know it’s not the hotel‘s fault but I hope those people had consequences. The smell when we returned was something I have never experienced before. Grateful it did not come into our room (it happened on our floor 10 doors down).

The rooms were surprisingly big and spacious. I liked the multiple outlets available on the bed side table. Bed was actually really comfortable. The breakfast needed some attending too. But it was ok. The breakfast. It was only 8am and everything was about gone. Im just glad I got the last cup of coffee.

The hotel is really is really nice and very clean. I stayed here due to recent snow storm. It’s located directly in from of Careplex hospital. Literally walking distance. The breakfast gad a large variety of breakfast foods. It was a wonderful stay.

The room was great except the heat did not work in the room and it was very cold and uncomfortable. The highest temperature in the room was 67 degrees and it blowed cold air instead of warm air, no matter what temperature was set. We were very busy during our stay and had no time to tell front desk or ask for a bew room. Just went in the room to crash and sleep.

Staff is always friendly and courteous, and helpful. The hotel rooms are outdated/due an upgrade but are clean.

Our visit to the Hampton area Jan 17-19 was enjoyable. We had a mix up - reserved one night when we needed 2. But everything was taken care of without any hic ups. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When my husband couldn't get the TV to work, the young gentleman from the front desk came and explained how to use the controller. We've stayed there before and will do so again. Thank you.

Pros: Clean Rooms and fresh sheets Above Average Breakfast Quiet (despite a few families with children) Friendly and Helpful Staff Good location, many stores and restaurants nearby, not far from Virginia Beach Decent Fitness Center, on the smaller side but functional Cons: Slightly dated furniture and wallpaper (and some lightly damaged seats in breakfast area) Vending/Ice machines were out of order or empty Pool over-chlorinated and non-heated 4/5 stars, would stay here again, Thank you to the staff for all their hardwork.

Two concerns and I also sent a message regarding this as well. Firstly I asked for a smoking room and did not receive that which was an inconvenience when the smoker had to continue to go outside for something that was previously asked for also we had to go out and stand until about 12am as well and wait for the fire truck to come which was Also another Inconvenience as well.

Having a car is necessary but everything is only a few minutes away. The breakfast was nice and simple. The chairs in the rooms should be replace or reupholstered. Having a refrigerator and microwave was awesome. I would definitely stay again.

Hotel was absolutely disgusting. A/C didn't work, whole place smelled like mildew, carpets were stained, furniture was marred, staff was completely unhelpful.

The shower was rusty with peeling/moldy sealing all around the tub. The toilet was constantly running water. All the furniture was at best scuffed up/stained and at worst broken. On top of all of it, I got back one night to find the biggest roach I've seen in the corner near the ceiling. Staff was friendly and helpful, but after that I wouldn't stay here agian.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I did not request a handicap accessible room but was assigned one. Occuoant in room next to ours had a dog who howled and yelped for approximately 45 minutes at about 11pm, and his owner was loud and yelling at dog. Attempted to notify frint desk but no one answered phone in lobby. Our room was clean and comfortable, and complimentary breakfast was very good.

This is a friendly, clean, safe place for lodging. It is close to eateries, coffee shops, and the interstate. The staff are very professional and friendly.

Stay was great. Room was quiet. Carpet is dated. Once arrived on floor (4th) the smell of weed was strong, but luckily not in our room. Staff nice and friendly.

At 5:30 am the alarm went on. I thought it was the phone ringing and pushed all the buttons to try to stop it. Not a thing we would like to repeat.

It was an average facility that could use some upgrades. The carpet needs repairing and the door stuck so we couldn’t get into our room without maintenance coming to open it. Compared to other facilities that we’ve stayed recently, it was just okay.

Hampton hotels are always a choice for me at a decent price no matter where I’m traveling. Rooms are always clean and tidy, pool access and breakfast buffet is always available at all its facilities.

Only had one night stay but enjoyed the entire hotel including the spacious room. Nothing to not like.

Quiet, clean, and comfortable is how i would.describe the stay. The beds and bedding were so soft i slept like a baby every nigjt. I appreciate having breakfast available as well as a place to work if ai needed to get out of the room. I will be back.

I’ve seen other reviews stating the rooms were decorated in an “outdated fashion.” Maybe it’s just me but, as long as the furniture is in good shape, the bed is comfortable, and the tv works, I don’t care if the decor is “out of date.” Those people should go spend more money somewhere else. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was typical for a hotel breakfast, not bad at all though. One of the best things about it was that I was able to bring my cat with me so that he wouldn’t have to suffer in the heat. To sum it up… I highly recommend.

I like the quietness and it was close to food and shopping but I didn’t like the way the shower looked mold and rusted at the bottom. Inside of the shower at the bottom metal please was off the hinge and molded … refrigerator had a pan of ice was in the refrigerator and it melted I had to take it out of the refrigerator and pour it in the sink …

What I liked was, the room was big. What I didn't like was, the room keys I had to keep trying to get in. It didn't have a full size ironing board, the tiolet I thought was going to come off the wall. The drink vending machines were empty the whole time, and the fridge in the room barely got cold.

The hotel was very dirty - looked like our rooms were not cleaned in a long time properly. There was some fan in the hallway that was loud and the hallways were hot. The fruit at breakfast was not fresh. It is the worse Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in

Been staying here for 8 years. It is time for an upgrade. The carpets are stained and damaged. Breakfast area dusty. Dust hanging over food. The staff is the only reason you would recognize this as a Hilton property.

This hotel is perfect. The ambiance is clean, comfortable and safe. The staff is helpful, polite and attentive. Tuesday was our host and provided excellent service from check in to check out.They have hot breakfast, open parking, a pool and an exercise room. Its close to restaurants and shopping. Go ahead book it.

Awful stay, start to finish. The desk cleric was unhelpful, the room was so loud all night long, so none of us got any sleep, and the coffee was tepid at breakfast. Just terrible all around.

We lodged at this particular property because Sentara Hospital is directly across the street; it was very convenient to visit a loved one at the hospital, especially after driving from out of town.

Breakfast was great and the room was overall clean BUT the air in the room did not work, I was also charged a $50 fee on top of my hotel cost when I checked in. I understand this is refundable but only after 3-5 days after my check out and I was not told about this fee before my stay! Not happy about that at all! Also when I was checked in, the lady at the front desk was on FaceTime, she stayed on FaceTime the entire time checking me in while asking for my personal details to check me in. I travel a lot for business and stay at a lot of hotels and I’m not very happy with the overall experience.

Came in for gymnastics meet. Hotel was clean, shower was great, breakfast options were good, even the fitness center was clean and well stocked for anyone who wants to get a good workout in. Easy close/free parking for guests and great staff.

My only issue was the price paid for the room. Furniture was old , chairs were dirty. Bathroom was ok but again Furniture in the bathroom was old door paint chipped. Lobby smells amazing very clean . Ms Tuesday Fisher at the ftont desk was amaxing

The staff was super. The breakfast lacked the variety I have experienced at other Hampton Inns. I was dismayed that the wash clothes have been reduced to small and thin. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. I appreciated the handicapped facility.

Was on a boys trip with my son. When we first pulled up there were 5 or 6 people standing outside waiting on the cops. Someone either kidnaped a child or a dad took a kid to the hotel. About 30 min later 3 cops came. My son likes to swim, so went went down to the pool. As we got off the elevator there was cops in lobby questioning a guy that was very jumpy so i put my son i front of me and walked to the pool. When we got to the pool the water was green. I put my hand in the water and it was slimy. Soo we did not swim. The people behind the desk were very good. The room its self was ok. Nonthing fantastic just a regular room.

What I didn't like was the language barrier with the housekeeping during the day. The housekeeper didn't comprehend and speak English.
