The man Kamal at the front desk loaned us a charger and was very thorough to make sure it worked with the phone we needed it for. It made a big difference to be able to use a charger since we forgot ours. My friend really hated the pattern in the carpet. I think the outdated and bad pattern of the coridor carpet really detracted from the overall feel of the place.

The value and location. It was dirty, things falling apart, door didn't lock. The bathroom had mold and rust in it, on the ceiling and on fixtures. In one room, you literally could not breathe in it. It was that moldy and stuffy in there.

The price! The staff is good. The rooms need to be updated. The ceiling had mold on it, and the bathroom looked dirty. The beds were uncomfortable. The room doors are dirty, need to be cleaned. The fixtures are rusted. Baseboards are coming off. They gotta put some TLC in the rooms

Convenient to my work. This says its smoke free but the lingering smell of cigarettes is still around. It was very strong, in my clothes and my hair. I had a headache all night then all day at work. The smell was in the hallways so I didn't bother asking to move rooms. If you are asthmatic or sensitive to cigarette smoke please be warned.
- 2/5
The property is supposed to be smoke free. It reeked of cigarette smoke and smelled like marijuana. Guests were very loud well past midnight.
- 1/5
Dirty. Billed me after I already paid.
- 5/5
Just a little getaway with the wife. Worked out perfectly.
- 5/5
Decided to take a little staycation with my wife. It worked out well.
- 2/5
It was supposed to be a “no smoking” property and it smelt terrible!! We stayed one night but when we left we felt DIRTY! The bedding smelled of smoke also. The room smelled musty!! Terrible! Will NEVER recommend or stay again!!!
- 2/5
When we opened the door to our room there was an other couple naked in the bed. They screamed at us to get out. The manager gave us the next room. The couple in the first room kept us up most of the night with what seemed to be a party. On top of all this the manager changed us $10 more for what he called “a room upgrade”. We were extremely tired from driving more than 8 hours. Just a total disaster for us
- 1/5
Got kicked off the property while waiting for booking. Then they refused to refund the money. Go elsewhere
- 2/5
Booking through Expedia got us put in the worst wing of this property where the rooms reek of cigarettes and weed even though it’s a non-smoking facility. We declined that room and were “upgraded” to another room up the hallway. That room’s TV didn’t work and the bathroom was flooded when we walked in. The host then “upgraded” us to another room that sufficed. Paid $10 for a box of detergent and one wash/dry. Dryer never did dry clothes and had to have housekeeping finish drying our clothes the next morning. Overall, these hotels, which seem to be bought up foreigners, are predominantly rude to guests and really only care about money and not caring about customers.
- 4/5
Hotel in terrible condition and location was sketchy. One bath towel in bathroom and king size bed had three tiny pillows. Would not stay at this hotel again and really didn’t want to stay that night but we had already paid and were traveling. Description said it was right off 81 but you had to drive several miles through city to get to hotel. That usually wouldn’t have been a problem but we were towing a trailer and would have liked something closer to the highway.
- 1/5
Shy the manager was very nice!
- 1/5
The room looks ok but it was nasty odor to smoke I told the front desk about it and she just say I can’t give you refund or offer me another room
- 2/5
The only good thing was the bed. When we woke up the next morning the door or directly across from us had a condemn notice posted on the door. There was a bad odor in the room, burn holes in the toilet seat and wall from cigarettes and the kickboard molding was peeled away from the wall. Apparently they own two hotels and try to upsell us on the one in the front. Wasn't impressed. Don't suggest.
- 1/5
dangerous conditions. Horrible smell in the room. Listed as 2 queens, it was 2 doubles. Druggie in the parking lot checking car doors trying to find one unlocked.
- 5/5
Found very easy . Check in was very easy . Room was on second floor . No elevator.
- 4/5
Several of us have stayed here along our route. Always reliable and good!
- 3/5
The toilet was an issue. It didn't want to shut off. The shower didn't drain and the outlet in the bathroom didn't work.
- 2/5
When we go to the room first thing is check bathroom make sure it's clean and water is hot, but this time I had to kill a roach and a spider, now we move on to check beds sheets on one not clean both top and bottom, breakfast free but you better get there first before the locals, ran out of sausage and eggs syrup appears to be water down
- 5/5
Good service at the desk. Loud people wall ng in hallways
- 1/5
DIRTY, beer cans EVERYWHERE, broken windows, condemned rooms. I literally cannot make this up. Absolutely terrible! I wouldn’t even stay at that hotel and ended up getting another one instead!
- 2/5
It looks like two well known hotels clashes with renovation and condemnation
- 1/5
I reserved a room and when I arrived from NYC , 4 hrs driving with my wife and my 2 kids , one 5 years old special child and my 5 months old little girl, the receptionist told me that I have to call expedia and cancel because they didnt have hot water and the plumber would come monday, I went outside to talk to my wife who was still in the car and got very upset. We decided to stay without hot water because we were very tired, but the clerk refused saying that if we call expedia she got to give me the money back, when I tried to call expedia, she said I could stay in the hotel but if I pay $30 extra, because the hotel had 2 buildings and the side I reserved had not hot water, but this side had, I went to check and it wasnt true, she was jus trying to rip me off and should be reported to consumer affairs, she is a crook
- 2/5
Lots of smoking in a non smoking hotel and at least 5 of the rooms were condemned by the local health department for some reason.
- 1/5
We were surrounded by condemned rooms, there were cigarette burns in our sheets. Our towels were dirty, and the fitted kept coming off because it was really small. Smelled like musty cigarettes and air freshener.
- 5/5
This motel was in the process of upgrading and improving. The room we stayed in had been upgraded. The staff was super nice, friendly, and helpful. The continental breakfast was average but quite acceptable. We would definitely stay again.
- 1/5
The 1st room the tv didn't work. 2nd room had a whole in the wall. The 3rd was alot better.
- 2/5
We checked in drove around the building and left. Did not feel safe
- 2/5
The person working the front desk when we arrived was also the person working the front desk when we left the next morning. He was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really quite good.
- 1/5
Don't book here. Spend the little extra to stay literally anywhere else. This place was absolutely disgusting. A smoke detector was going off in a room next to us, they refused to fix it. No refund offered because we booked "with a third party". Offered to let us "upgrade" to the quality inn section, and still wanted to charge full price for that as well as the disgusting, roach infested room. Don't go here. Management was completely inept. Probably could have a group of pencil sharpeners do a better job running this place. I stated all issues pictured (mold, bugs roaches disgusting furniture, etc.), and was given, "Yes. We know about these issues." A few rooms were labeled condemned, so the fact that they're still booking these rooms out is absolutely horrendous. I'd recommend that hotel close it's doors, and Expedia NEVER ALLOW ANYONE to book a room here.
- 1/5
Motel was connected to another motel rates were different. Pet s were additional charge. People up all night one motel had broken windows so switched to other motel for additional fee.
- 2/5
Staff were friendly. Lots of coffee available in the morning. But everything else was sad. Room was not fully cleaned. The floors were sticky, old clothing was left in the drawers, dirt/debris left on table and chair, bed sheets/towels/pillows had holes and stains. The outside of the building is sketchy. Trash blowing around and a vacant building stranding in front of the hotel when you pull into the parking lot. I don’t need nor expect much from an Econo Lodge. But basic cleanliness is a must.
- 1/5
Bedspread had cigarette’s burn hole; lamp shade broken, tilted, patched with scotch tape; hall carpet dirty; broken cover for heater; marred furniture; refrigerator not working; room across hall stained floor; pipe sticking out of broken wall; old empty vending machine. Room little decoration and ugly beige.
- 2/5
The whole place stunk really, there was a roach on our fridge
- 1/5
Please do not stay here especially if you have family. The place is unsafe and dirty. The room was incredibly dirty, the sheets had stains and the room smelled. The reviews do not do justice.
- 3/5
Easy access to the H81
- 1/5
I requested a roam on the first floor upon my arrival they did not have a room available. So I had to switch the type of room to be on the first floor. I arrived at the room open the door to see roaches scurrying at the door. I requested extra pillows because they were only two in the room they would only give us one extra pillow. The parking lot was disgusting trash everywhere. This was a horrible experience.
- 3/5
The property wasn't too bad, the rooms just need to be cleaned more. Found bedbugs in my first room, told staff and they were nice enough to switch my room. However, the second room had small roaches. Overall I would give them a 3 out of 5 stars.
- 1/5
Smelled like cigarettes in the room, missing a proper lock on the door and the door was semi-off the hinges. Dirty and felt unsafe.
- 1/5
There was prostitutes coming into the hotel visiting John’s. Bedding was dirty, it looked like rat feces on it. No towels. People were slamming doors screaming down the hallways all night.
- 1/5
The hotel was disgusting! The room had roaches on a wet hardwood floor and the ceiling had mold all over it the bathroom ceiling also had mold over it. My family and i ended up leaving because we could not stay there. Luckily was able to get a full refund from hotels.com. on a side note tried to get gas at nearest gas station until one homeless man pulled a gun on another one.
- 1/5
Smelled like an ashtray weed and garbage which I assume was because there was a Garbage bag in the hallway chillin . The room smelled like smoke of which by morning I had a hard time breathing and no breakfast even though it was advertised...
- 2/5
Lit king, 2 petits oreillers seulement, serviettes tachées, l’eau du bain qui ne s’écoule pas, peinture à refaire, odeur de cigarette.

Bathtub was dirty, sheets and pillowcases had Stains on them...The lights in the hallway was din just felt creepy

Roaches in the room and had to try to sleep with the lights on to keep them away.
- 2/5
Not organized and if i was going to give star rating it would be 1.5 stars at the most.
- 2/5
The room was so dirty. Sticky walls and floors, hair everywhere, dirty sheets with burn holes, the urine smell in the stairways -- the list goes on. It's pretty bad.
- 1/5
The bedding was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, and, there was alot of people just hanging around the place.
- 2/5
Nasty. Bed sheets had holes in them, blankets had cigarette burn marks. Stunk like stale smoke. Lots of shady people there.
- 1/5
Holes on the wall, cigarette burnt on the sheets, horrible cleanings. I had to move hotels. I was traveling with a baby and I could t lay the baby on that filthy bed
- 5/5
I had a reservation for an accessible room but showed up to find that they had no room at the EconoLodge. After a short chat they agreed to give me an accessible room at the Quality Inn (adjacent to the Econo Lodge) for the same rate. The access was superb. The toilet and shower / tub had several bars and there was a stool for those of us who need to sit. If you can't provide a roll in shower, the stool is an excellent alternative. This was the first hotel/motel that I stayed at had one available with their and I appreciated that courtesy.
- 1/5
It constantly smelt like curry or smoke in the hall. The staff barely wore masks. There were so many loud people there. Children were crying and the staff were loud as well.
- 1/5
It was a dump. Nothing like the website picture
- 1/5
A non-smoking room was filled with lingering smoke the premises was really in a bad area employees were sitting right outside smoking
- 2/5
I had booked through Expedia, then was advised at the front desk that I really should upgrade our room, which would involve an upcharge...for exactly the same rooms in which we had previously stayed. Succinctly, we will never return.
- 4/5
Overall great stay. Will stay again when in the area vising family. Breakfast a fun for the kid, make your own waffles, what kid don't like that. Stayed in Feb of 2020
- 2/5
The room has back stain on the ceiling . The covers have holes . The towels had red marks and some were stained ( black stains ). The fridge leaked . There was stench of cigarette smoke or some inter smell ( maybe old mold ) in the corridors .
- 3/5
Be aware that this hotel is two hotels connected and the doors between the two are locked at night. Also several of the outside doors are also non functioning "at the moment" which meant that we had to unload our car at the opposite end of the building and then drive it around to our parking spaces. The hallways are not vacuumed, and the ice machine was not just out of service but missing all together. We chose this hotel for it's cheap price, as we were not planing on stopping here, but the weather forced us to add an extra stay to our trip. I don't mind old decor if it is clean I don't mind parking that is across the way, but I do mind doors that are locked and non functioning, and dirty hallways and rooms. We won't be back this way so we won't be staying in THIS hotel again
- 3/5
The shower pressure was good. Breakfast was ok. The pillow covers had stains on them and the fan/ light sounded like a freight train.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good with hot entrees including waffles you make yourself.
- 1/5
The room had Roaches running around and the doors looked like they were broken in to the room was dirty and the parking lot was not safe and their were drug deals going on.
- 5/5
very nice . friendly staff . nice breakfast .... enjoyed my stay . i will be back same place and i would like the same room it was so nice and the bed is comfy . thank you all. see you again soon
- 3/5
There was nothing so wrong, but it was clearly bare bones. There were only 3 tiny pillows on a king bed, only 2 very thin sets of towels, no box of tissues. The stairwell was awful looking, with bare concrete and dirty (compared to the Quality Inn part of the same location that had nice carpet in the stairwell). Tub didn't look especially clean, but we didn't use it. Drapes not hanging correctly. Bed was comfortable and it was pretty quiet there, so we slept fine. Breakfast was skimpy, but we went late. Don't think I'll stay there again. WiFi worked.
- 4/5
We got a great deal for the price. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. I would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
The room was not made the second day no towels soap toilet paper
- 4/5
Breakfast was great, room access was great. The room need a bit better vacuum job, especially behind the bathroom door.
- 2/5
Property was run down and attached to the rear of another hotel
- 3/5
The halls recked of weed. And the smell got into my room. The condition of the rooms was nice. And the employees were nice
- 3/5
Almost the entirety of the staff was very nice. There was one desk clerk that was very short with us and could use a customer service lesson. I understand it was a busy weekend, but her approach almost sent us packing. We came back a few hours later and was waited on by a gentleman who was VERY nice and VERY helpful.
- 3/5
The information and pictures about this hotel available via Expedia do not do justice to the actual hotel and room. The property is advertised as non-smoking. There were guests in other rooms and in the hotel hallway that were smoking, the whole place and room were reeking of tobacco smell. The front desk said nothing could be done about it. Next up, cleanliness was a big issue...stains on bedsheets, dirt and hair in "clean" bathroom towels, layers of dust and hairs on night stand and cupboards inside room...overall the room was quite dirty. The condition of bathroom fixtures was also very poor with cracked tub, leaking showers/faucet, and, torn and stained shower curtain The issues were mentioned to the management and they said they would "look into it". The breakfast (shared with Quality Inn on the same premises) was the only redeeming feature of the stay. Overall, at nearly $80/night this motel/hotel is way overpriced for its quality and services.
- 3/5
Room had a terrible odor and was not clean. The phones and internet did not work. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful!
- 1/5
The property was incredibly dirty, including the carpet, walls, and bedding. The door to the room had some type of drip stains all the way down it starting at the door handle. The facility had signs everywhere saying they were 100% smoke free, but the smell of smoke was strong everywhere, especially in our room. The comforters were covered in cigarette burns. The photos on Expedia did not reflect the reality. The Econo Lodge was actually a second building behind the nice yellow front entrance, which turned out to be the Quality inn entrance. I had to drive around back and park around a corner to find the Econo entrance. The stairwell to the second floor ( no elevator) was very filthy and stained, with a block of 2x4 wood holding the door open. The lights in the stairwell and all the halls were very dimly lit. Overall, the worst hotel I've ever tried to stay in. I left and went to another hotel, just taking the cost of the Econo Lodge as a loss. I did not feel safe having my wife and two young kids sleep there. I have stayed in Econo Lodges before, but this experience was so bad, I will never stay in another one again.
- 1/5
I arrived at the hotel after 545pm, and they didn't have a room ready. The excuse was the cleaning staff was behind. We were give a different room. This room was dirty. The bathroom was extremely disgusting. The tub was very dirty, and didnt appear to have been cleaned in months. The shower curtain had holes in it, and some type of bodily fluid splashed across it. The hotel was informed of this, they did not take any steps to correct these issues. We went to visit some historical sites, and was out of the hotel all day, the cleaning staff didn't even clean the room. We had to retrieve our own towels from the front desk. I asked for 1 night refund and the manager refused. Do not stay at this Econo Lodge. Poor staff, poor management.
- 5/5
The hotel is conveniently located but not right on the interstate, so it was quieter than most. Rate was great, room good, a great full buffet breakfast w/ eggs, sausage, bagels, make your own waffles, etc. No complaints.
- 1/5
The stay was not good for the room I stayed in had bed bugs, roaches and I was bitten twice, which resulted in me having an allergic reaction. Staff member wasn’t empathetic and did nothing. The owner never reached out to me not once either. Not a satisfying feeling.
- 2/5
The Hotel was supposed to be smoke free. The room I received had no carpet, the towel in the bathroom had a black stain on it, the desk chair was very dirty. The hotel smelled like smoke and whatever they tried to cover the smell with. I had to leave, I couldn't stand the smell. The front desk did offer me a new room, they were kind. I just couldn't get passed the odor.
- 2/5
I wanted to change the room but I don’t want to go through the hassle and it’s probably the same everywhere. We’re already so tired.
