Courtyard Marriott Hagerstown

The hotel seemed clean but had an old smell to it. The room was large but dusty in places and the bottom of the shower door was dirty. There is no complementary coffee in the lobby but the Starbucks for purchase was good. It was ok for a quick overnight stop but I would not stay there again. There are many hotels in the area and feel like I can do better somewhere else for $200.

The room was clean and the staff was very pleasant. The problem I had was that the hotel was a little pricey and your had to pay extra for your breakfast. I feel with the high price your breakfast should be included. There was also no microwave in the room. There was a tiny fridge, but no microwave and even your basic hotels have a microwave in the room. There was also no charging station for your devices and with todays times that is usually in the lamps or walls but none there anywhere.

Visible splatter marks on the mirror most likely from tooth paste The inside of the toilet had not been cleaned and had clear visible markings. The room smelt of Body odor when first got in. This was the most expensive hotel in a five day stretch we had for road tripping and yet the dirtiest.

Definitely very spacious! No complaints at all besides the hot tub not working but the hotel confiscated us for the mishap. They offer breakfast at a cost and the staff were nice and friendly. Stayed for Valentine’s weekend it was so nice and comfortable

All the staff were really great. The rooms were nice and the lobby area was great for relaxing. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of service which was the main reason we stayed there.

I didn’t have breakfast. There is a smell that’s not pleasant. You smell it in halls and when you walk in room. I thought the smell was just in room I was assigned, but when I asked for another room due to the smell, the new room smelled. Also the entire hall smelled.

Cons: Bathroom sink slow drain (told housekeeping but no fix), shower dirty and smelled of mold (clearly seen on shower door hinges and surround), room hvac strange in it would overheat and then cold air came on to cool so cold in room at times. Overall: If we had to stay longer than 1 night i would've requested a room change due to mold smell.

Thecroom was nicely arranged and comfortable. The shower was very nice snd modern.the staff were very nice and helpful.

As a housekeeper manager for 6 plus years my experience was wonderful! The area was great and calm. The room felt refresh and clean the beds were not tied up for the hospitality look. And the fridge had a stain inside of it. Other than that my stay was amazing my kids enjoyed the pool I stayed in room 216. I’ll definitely come back and stay !

Didn’t have a chance to use the facilities. The room was clean and had a comfortable king bed. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel. Will stay again for sure !

Only two things that could have been better was no microwave and lack of continental breakfast

Towels were a little cheap and same with pillows. Wish you had Bedgear pillows. But I’d give stay a 9. Great quality for the price!

I stayed here 2 times within a week (on my way to vacation and on my way from vacation). Both times were good. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed the restaurant that is right near the hotel called BJ's. Hotel was right off 81 so very convenient. There is also a big shopping center right there in the same location.

As is expected of the Marriott's this one was excellent. In house Bistro and Bar. Convenient the Hagerstown Mall and to Rt.81. However the view in all directions consisted of parking lots, warehouses. Not a tree in sight.

The hotel and location were ok but the hotel has a terrible restaurant. The food ordered were so bad that I had to throw it away as it was stale and couldn't it. The service at the restaurant is ridiculously slow.

Very nice, clean, friendly hotel. Perfect for an overnight stay for a Flying Boxcars game. Good breweries and bars/restaurants walking distance from hotel.

The pool was out of service which is something we were looking forward to using. They made arrangements with an adjacent facility though so it worked out.

I booked this hotel with 2 rooms for me and my kids. Main reason i booked this hotel was for the pool and the hot tub! After checking in and going to our rooms we went down to look at the pool and hot tub so we knew where to go when we got back from our outting, only to see a note saying it was down for daily maintenance. Ok, great we go to leave but went to ask the front desk how long it would be down only to overhear the employee that's checking in another guest tell them the pool and hot tub are not working but could walk across to the other hotel and use their pool! Like seriously?! Why wasn't i told this by the one that checked us in? Why wasn't this on their website?? The other hotel didn't have a hot tub and definitely did not like having to walk across in our bathing suits and towels when it was not warm out at all! Had i of known it wasn't working I wouldn't have spent my money there!! So a night that should've been fun and relaxing with my kids that was supposed to include lots of swimming for them that was in our plan for the weekend was completely ruined!! Will never stay at this hotel again!! Definitely did not enjoy hearing crying kids when it should've been laughter!!!

Charged $280 for a 10×10 box for a room with no hot tub or even tub for that matter... just a stand up shower.... the only reason I rented this room and paid $280 would have been there was a hot tub in the room....ruined the end of a great couples weekend . Will be requesting a full refund.

Excellent Stay

Welcoming, friendly service, great location. This was my second stay within a month, in two different Courtyard Marriott locations (the other in Norfolk, Virginia), where the bathrooms were not clean when I checked in. I considered the first one to be a fluke. But at my recent stay it was evident it had not been cleaned… their was hair and soap residue on the floor, fecal matter splattered around the rim of the inner toilet seat as well as urine stains on and under the toilet seat. Thankfully, front desk staff was great and handled it immediately, however, I was left with a feeling that if the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, were my sheets or anything else in the room cleaned?! It was an uneasy feeling, I’m not sure I want to pay to give Marriott a third chance to get it wrong.

The hotel was modern with furniture and technology. The room was the perfect size for 2 people, and the bed was comfortable. The Market was well stocked, but $4 for a sharing size of Sun Chips? Yikes. Great location…next to a good size mall, so lots of restaurants and places to walk.

The TV don’t work in the first room they gave us so we called downstairs and had the front desk come and look at it. When he came up he said he wasn’t sure how to fix it so he offered us a new room. He was super friendly and apologetic. Unfortunately the second room they gave us also had a TB that didn’t work. After calling down again, the front desk said they would put an emergency work order in to have it fix. That was great though when the maintenance worker arrived, my wife and I were in the process of getting ready for the day (he came sometime around 9:30 AM) so it was just inconvenient timing.

The hotel room and staff were great. Our flight had been delayed and cancelled so we needed a place to lay over. We were exhausted and frustrated and got to the hotel late and the desk agent went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to get us in our room, relaxed and recharged.

Con's: Room was pretty grungy and worn. Mold/mildew all in the shower and it had a smell. Carpet was gross feeling and sticky to feet/socks. Bathroom floor was also dirty. HUGE cobweb/spider bed in room above the bed extending to the corner of the room. IF YOU BOOK THROUGH HOTELS.COM, CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD. I was charged by Hotels.com and then charged an additional 150.00 by the hotel itself......

Reallly poor value. I think it used to be upscale but gone to seed. Example: room outlet didn’t work, shower door wouldn’t close, orange mold in the bathroom. Staff & service were poor. Example: had to pay $3.50 for a lobby coffee which was stone cold, so they microwaved it - LOL.

It was a little disappointing there was no continental breakfast. Most hotels these days offer that service. The mattress was a little uncomfortable. The positive was they served Starbucks. To offset no breakfast, maybe offer a welcome gift to guests with bottled water and snacks upon check-in.

The prices at the Bistro were way to high for the quality of food and the hours of operation were not good.

I visited my brother in New York this past week. On the return trip, I stayed at Hagerstown Courtyard. The stay was exceptional. I have allergies and the room was animal-free as requested. I stayed in two other Courtyards going and returning. The one in Kingston, NY, was great as well. The one in Harrisburg, PA, was awful. They are allowing pets in the hotel I suspect. Service dogs are usually put on the ground floor. These dogs are trained. Some people are using what is known as emotional comfort dogs and cats which are not trained one can ask a therapist or dog to declare them as an emotional comfort animal. There is a huge difference between the highly trained service dog. However, I have to have a room that is free of any animals. This hotel had me in a great room. The whole place was really clean.

I guess a cool thing is that it's at one end of a giant shopping center/mall, so the food options are plentiful even late.

The staff was friendly, room was nice. However, the reason we chose to stay at this hotel over others for our night was for the pool/jacuzzi, which was closed until right before we had to leave. We decided to go an hour before checking out (when it opened) and the jacuzzi was so hot no one could enter it. Another hotel guest warned us before we were burned, but overall it was disappointing since that is why we chose the hotel.

Staff was friendly. The only negative is that the person tending bar did not know how to makele mixed drinks. A person in our party ordered a margarita and they used Tangeray instead of tequila (gack!)

Location to restaurants and food was fantastic. Even mall and outlet shopping. Service inside hotel was great. Front desk assistance was very friendly and accommodating. Quiet atmosphere and very clean. Only downside was, the day before leaving, the elevators broke and we had to take the stairs. Not a big deal since we enjoy walking and we were only on the 2nd floor but can’t imagine how others on the higher floors managed with luggage. Optimistically speaking, the hotel helped everyone burn a few calories and was in fact, quite eco-friendly.

We stayed overnight after a long drive. Our room was 414. The heating unit made a clicking noise all night, and we couldn't sleep at all.

Arrived late and didn’t bother to complain since would have had to move luggage again. No hair dryer and no ice machine in our end of the building Room was clean.

The room I booked is two queen and they switch us to one king due to overbook. This was not mentioned to us at all. We found out after entering the room. No toilet paper, shower had hairs from previous guest, poor Wi-Fi speed. We checked in around 5:30pm and checked out around 7am. The manager was not there during this time period. We were told that they would ask the manager to contact us immediately. Manage hasn’t contact me as they promised. Very disappointed at this place other then the front desk peoples. They were helpful.

The hotel was conveniently located right off of I 81, which is one of the reasons we booked there. However, the restaurant ans bar were both closed so we were forced to go elsewhere to eat. We specifically booked the hotel because of the restaurant so that was disappointing. The room was clean but basic. Shampoo and conditionerin showerbut no lotions and only one small bar of soap to be shared with sink and shower. Plastic cups for coffee. Would have expected more for the price.

I had to sanitize the bathroom. There were no coffee cups and only one pack of regular coffee. When I asked for some cups, I was only given two. After using the two and asked for more, I was given only one. I didn't realize that you had to pay for breakfast. If I knew that I would have chosen a different hotel. We had to get a different room because of a smell that was in the first room.

Clean and quiet hotel away from the buzz of traffic. I regret that the hot tub was closed for repairs. The one across the street as well was closed.
