The hotel is very well kept and a great place to stay for couples to get away and relax.

This was a home large home at one point they added on additional wing. It’s southern country charm boutique hotel in the neighborhood of an up and coming expensive housing development

This was my 2nd time staying at this Hotel and so far my #1 choice. Starting from the location, staff, to the rooms, everything is beautiful. Trails to walk, bonfire beside the pool area, restaurants on site and spa, you can almost find everything for an afternoon, or night enjoyment. I will definitely keep going back.

Clean room but the shower place had some shampoo on the ground

Place was great except for the person staying a floor above us. Loud as heck.

We loved the property! Lush, green hiking trails with ponds and a farm, right behind the hotel. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was meticulously maintained. One evening, I witnessed a hotel employee doing an inspection of the pool and even ran his hand over every Adirondack chair around the pool area. I quizzed him, of course. He was checking to make sure every screwhead was flush so as not to snag a guest's clothing. His name was Patrick and I saw him all over the property, working hard and ensuring all was well. Amazing place, the gardens were fabulous with fragrant gardenia bushes everywhere. Restaurant had delicious food. It was a wonderful experience!

Our anniversary trip to this hotel was FABULOUS! Special thanks to Ciara, the Bartender. She was kind and gave excellent suggestions regarding different liquors and food tastings. Rashad, at the front desk, was funny and very friendly. Everyone that we encountered went out of their way to be helpful and the friendly and genuine smiles made us feel very comfortable and welcomed to the hotel. We have shared our experiences and the hotel’s website with friends and family. We will definitely be back .

Self parking was easy and close to the entrance. Great stay. Would 100% return and recommend everyone of this hotel.

Although this is an exceptional property to stay at as far as cleanliness and great scenery, this time around service wasn’t as great as it usually has been, and they’ve taken away the full continental breakfast that was one of the major amenities that this hotel offered. Also the friendliness of the staff just wasn’t there like it always has been.

I loved everything about Hotel Hartness!!! The staff and everyone was sooo nice! I will definitely be back.

The BEST hotel experience. My husband and I lived in Greenville years ago and decided to visit. From the very minute you pull up until you leave, it’s an excellent experience.

Always a great time at Hotel Hartness with service, cleanliness and attention to detail. The grounds are exceptional as well

Easy direction to get to the location & love then butler that opened the door and greeted me.

Coming in after dark, we actually mistook the north wing for the entrance, so perhaps the entrance could be better lit. Also, whether or not a breakfast was included was unclear on-line (some offers showed it others did not). the property itself is amazing, and super clean.

it was even better than I expected. The staff was friendly. The room was immaculate. It is a resort and it does force you to kind of get out of the room a little bit to get the full experience, but it’s hands-down the best hotel I’ve been at in the GREENVILLE area

We stayed overnight for an appointment the next day in the area. It was a lovely stay. We had drinks & lunch in the bar but went out to dinner because it was Sunday and the restaurant was closed. The food and service in the bar area were great! My complaint is that we left clothes in the closet and we called right away after leaving. We left 3 messages so that someone can ship back our items at our expense. We did not receive 1 call back. That is poor customer service! What an amazing place to have that bad of customer service at the front desk.

This is a very interesting hotel. It's on a large and still developing piece of land 20 minutes outside Greenville. The building setup is new and unique and beautifully designed. The people there were very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at the hardness multiple times. Well it is still a very nice place to stay. It’s nothing like it used to be.I was disappointed to see that a lot of the grounds have been clear cut for more housing tracks and there is continuous somewhat noisy construction. Also, the lovely self serve breakfast has now been replaced by what is essentially a Starbucks coffee shop. For me personally, the hardness has lost its special charm.

The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The temperature in theroom was warm even though I adjusted the thermostat. I didn't love the bathroom door, it was hard to open and did not contain sound. It also would be nice to have a smart tv to be able to watch streaming shows.

The hotel had a wonderful smell when you walk in. They have very high-end lotions and hair products. Great lighting getting ready. Great lighting for reading. Overall the hotel was a 10 in my opinion.

I wish we had more time here. This was a short stay after we flew in and had to leave in the morning for a long drive. The hotel is stunning! There are trails around to hike and they offer bikes as well. The common areas and the room rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. Highly recommend!

Nice size rooms Website is misleading about the property. Their hotel bar/restaurant was not serving food when we arrived bc of staffing, we were never told this and had to order uber eats. Also website said they had complementary breakfast but found out from staff next day that they discontinued that. No communication of changes or that bar was not serving food that night.

The place is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, everything new and well maintained, the location is very convenient and the staff is very helpful and friendly. It's surrounded by nature and beautiful houses. In my first time there was a nice breakfast buffet with a lit fireplace that fitted perfectly with the charm of the place, but now it's gone, they switched to a small espresso coffee shop that was very disappointing.

I cannot say enough nice things about this stay! The thermostat was not working in my room and they immediately offered to put me in a different room or bring me a fan. Everyone that I encountered was very friendly!

During this recent visit the disappointment was that they stopped serving complementary breakfast buffet, which was always delicious, with real porcelain dishes and silverware. We always enjoyed the breakfast buffet very much. Recently, the breakfast area was turned into a cafe to purchase prepackaged food and coffee in paper cups and food in plastic containers. We still enjoyed our breakfast with other guests in the beautiful atmosphere of the property, but missed the breakfast buffet. We still will definitely come again, because we love this place.

We loved the property. The staff was amazing. It was comfortable and clean. My only negative but positive is that they have bikes they can use. But they need a little maintenance. This was a wonderful hotel. Staff were fantastic! My wife and I came in for a night to eat at Hall’s Chop House and we were recommended to try this hotel and it was fantastic. I’m in sales and I loved the level of paying attention to the details. I mentioned we came in for my bday and they had a handwritten card and a dessert with Happy Birthday in my room. VIP level experience. I took a photo and shared with my sales team as an example on how to deliver a great experience!

We did a one night staycation as we had dinner at the Patterson which was amazing. The hotel is easy to find, has beautiful and clean grounds and easy parking. Great vibe all around and very friendly staff. The only thing that could be better is more storage/closet space for hanging clothes and there were no hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels. Not sure if it was due to the type of room we had as ours seem to be fully handicap accessible.

Our reservation was at 7:30 and our main course arrived at 9:15. The waitress seemed put off when I asked at 8:50 to check on our food. We ordered $48 worth of bread because our main course took so long and the waitress tried to up sell my granddaughter on a non alcoholic cocktail that was more expensive that the soft drink she had ordered. We also brought our own surprise birthday cake which the restaurant said was fine but the waitress tried to talk some at the table into ordering a dessert before she brought out the birthday cake. She should have offered the desserts after bringing out the cake. On a positive note the service was attentive and the waitress cut and served the cake for us.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is very professional and friendly. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast is good with the essentials to start up your day. We love the decoration throughout the hotel and the attention to details. We will definitely be coming back here.

Hotel grounds are beautiful with good trails nearby. Beds are very comfortable, room is nice. Breakfast was OK, but for an upscale hotel, the breakfast should also be more upscale. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is excellent. Only issue is the room was very hot. Thermostat went to 68 degrees but it was much warmer than that. Was hard for us to sleep is was so warm.

not to par of lasts stay. no complimentary proessco or macarons offered this time like i was 2 years ago.. no pre-arrival email that they said i would get 72 hrs before arrival. no idea why my roll was ridiculously far away. last time i came i didn’t have to surrender my ID and sign a contract before biking around the property. breakfast was fanatic however. stain on the carpet upon entering room. i also swore they used to offer robes but my memory could be wrong. still great, but questioning some interactions with staff and not quite as amazing as it was in Aug 2023

The ambience of the hotel and grounds was inviting. The staff were professional and approachable. The rooms were tasefully decorated and comfortable. Wonderful, restful stay.

I honestly loved everything about my stay,From the staff (every single person) to the food I will be back, for sure.

Beds are very comfortable, linens are crisp. The artwork around the hotel common areas is lovely and offers another unique perk. Staff is very professional in all areas and give attention to detail. I appreciate the bar having several non alcoholic cocktails and beers as well as some delicious bites. Highly recommend this property.

The resort is really beautiful, with an excellent restaurant, bar, pool and gym. 20 drive to Downtown Greenville. The staff is exceptional. Breakfast could have been a bit better.

Great place. Staff was very friendly. Only minor criticisms - could use a little more varied menu at Patterson and Captain and maybe a little more variety in the breakfast from day to day. However , the peach and burrata appetizer was a killer ( ordered with bread service from Patterson - should have bread service on the Captain menu )

We had a quick one night stay but wanted to extend our time there once we realized how amazing the property was. We will stay there again for sure.

Stayed for a one night getaway for July 4. Pool was nice and we ate at the attached restaurant. Moor pool loungers please and a some music around the pool would be fun too.

It’s not in the city (about 15min drive) and that’s the beauty of this place: it’s away from touristy stuff, and in the middle of nature, but close enough to the city that you can always go and visit. The service was 6 star! All the staff were super friendly, and while a part of it is “southern hospitality “, there for sure is an added factor of the culture of the hotel. Great dining options in the hotel, spa, surrounded by nature make this a must see.

We took advantage of the beautiful outdoor lounge space after dinner and the room was very well appointed, even a hole to turn on the shower without getting wet. Finally the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Everything was so fresh, clean, and beautifully designed. The staff was kind and clearly very proud of the hotel.

By far the most relaxing trip Ive taken. The calming atmosphere, the fast check-in, friendly staff. All was on point. Not to mention the aesthetics were breathtaking. I was amazed at the friendly environment. Dont get that everywhere. Cozy rooms, comfortable beds, robes. It was definitely a 10/10

Hotel Hartness is amazing! Spent the night as a little staycation; the environment/grounds and trails are rejuvenating and the staff are incredibly friendly, professional, helpful, lovely- I could go on! Also the included breakfast is delicious :)

The Patterson dining room was stylish yet casual, with delicious offerings. Our server was delightful! Breakfast is relatively simple but just right (in our opinion). The grounds on this property are beautiful, inviting wandering and relaxation. Our time there was a welcome respite, and we'll definitely return.

Hotel is nice and so are the people!

We will be going again! The only downsides were the pool was FRIGID, the breakfast options were good, but not great, and the shower soaps had a bizarre scent. It would’ve been nice to have a waffle maker or some muffins at breakfast; it felt very limited to scrambled eggs, bagel or oatmeal. OTHER THAN THAT, amazing experience. I went with my sister and our mother for a girls weekend, and we already can’t wait to go back. Marcus and Michael at the front desk were so kind and welcoming. We took the bikes out and really explored the surrounding areas. We were lucky enough to run into someone who lived in the neighborhood nearby and she really took us on the tour of the grounds. Without her, we wouldn’t have understood where we could bike to get the full benefits- so maybe study the map. The hotel and rooms were beyond stunning, LOVED IT!!

The only real disappointment was that breakfast ran out before 9:30 am and they had only bagels left on offer. For a place this “nice” it was a shame they couldn’t accommodate guests within their stated hours of operation.

We stayed at this property over the weekend and had a fabulous time. The hotel itself is absolute perfection. The rooms are clean and cozy. The staff was helpful. My daughter enjoyed the pool and riding bikes. We even tried the restaurant on property and it was good. Even the continental breakfast was delicious. 10/10!

We stayed here before when it first opened and the experience was totally different. Very sad, because we enjoyed it so much the first time

I recently took my daughter to South Carolina to visit a school and we stayed at Hotel Hartness. This hotel felt like home. It was aesthetically pleasing, extremely comfortable, it felt private, the staff was friendly and accommodating...I can't say enough about our experience. I highly recommend and we will definitely be returning.

I travel to Greenville, South Carolina quite a bit and this property is by far the best place to stay while in Greenville.

The hotel description should have made it clear that children are not welcome.

The hotel is top notch. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated and there were many amenities. Breakfast was wonderful.

It was wonderful. I really enjoy this hotel. The only negative is their charging stations over charge. It was $12 to change my HPEV for 2 hours. Typically changing stations charge a lot less.

What a gem this hotel is! I didn't realize it is in a suburban area, but that was great because there was plenty of room for beautiful gardens and walkways. Everything about the hotel was very upscale with a high taste level. I found the staff to be particularly outstanding. They were as friendly and professional as I have found at any world class resort. The food was fantastic. I will be back again.

Everything was perfect

First of all, LOVE the staff. We get drinks regularly at the hotel bar and the staff is amazing. We decided to stay in the hotel for a special occasion even though we have been loyal local customers since the restaurant and hotel opened. Overall, the experience was ok. The rooms are like a typical Hyatt or Hilton- nothing special. Our biggest issue was with breakfast. It was also ok, but sparse. Waiting for another batch of eggs to be cooked is understandable, but not having the pastries or cups restocked shows a lack of desire when the employee is standing there on her phone. And there must have been 7 employees standing around and snacking on the breakfast items around the time it closed, which is very bad optics. Our biggest issues was that the coffee was moved to the bar after breakfast but the creamer was spoiled. It appeared that it had not been refrigerated and was actually curdled; chunks came into our coffee cups. I think that Hotel Hartness needs to lean less on the architecture and surroundings and more on the little things that make a hotel experience something that is above average.

This is an upscale property in an area under development. Eventually the area around it will match the ambiance and vibrance of the hotel but now its somewhat of an anomoly

Beautiful, much better than I expected

Front desk staff upon arrival was wonderful and welcoming. Gorgeous hotel, fantastic decor, and WILL be gorgeous grounds. Lots of construction and land development. Loved our dinner at Patterson, despite the fact that our reservation was for a low top on the restaurant, and we were sat in a very busy and uncomfortable high top table in the bar. Fine for a drink or two but not so for a nice meal. Several areas of the hotel needed cleaning, specifically the fitness center bathrooms and the tables and floor in front of one of the fireplaces. I was having my coffee there at 6:30 and it was clear they had not been cleaned up from the night before. The breakfast was very nice and lovely that it was included, but there was a large team of workmen who were at the hotel and they took up all the seating area in the eating area, right in front of the fire. When they were finished eating (loudly), after many rounds of food, they remained at the tables looking at social media. Guests of the hotel were forced to take their breakfast elsewhere.
