Very dirty room. When i checked in he had a bad attitude. I spilled a little water on floor from my glass. I wiped it up with a small hand towel. It was about a 2foot by 3 foot area. This was worse stay ever! The first room smelled like smoke, there were stains on the pillow cases. The second room door looked like someone tried to kick it in and when I brought it to the front desk attention he just shrugged his shoulders and said call the front desk if anything happens which the phone didn’t work. The second night the room smelled like sewage so I couldn’t sleep in there I had to sleep in the first room with family! I paid for a room I could not use. They would not give me a refund!

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. THIS PLACE IS THE MOST DISGUSTING PLACE I EVER VISITED. THEY HAD NO SOAP OF ANY KIND. THERE WERE DRUG DEALERS OUTSIDE. SOMEONE FROM THE TOP FLOOR THREW A SLICE OF CHEESE ON THE BACK OF OUR CARE. THIS PLACE IS FOR HOOKER, DRUG DEALERS AND ADDICTS. I DID NOT HAVE SOAP. WHILE IN THE SHOWER I SEE THAT THERE IS NO SOAP COMING OUT. I GET OUT WITH TOWEL TO LET THE FRONT KNOW THAT I NEED MORE SOAP. HE SAID THAT HE NEEDS TO SEE IF WE HAVE ANY SAID THAT HE WOULD CALL ME BACK AND HUNG UP. CAME BACK TO COME IN THE ROOM WHILE I HAD A TOWEL ON. NOOOOOO WAY. MY HUSBAND LET ME HIM IN AFTER ME HIDING UNDER COVERS. HE CAME IN AND LEFT 3 MUDDY FOOTPRINTS IN THE BATHTUB AND BATHROOM TOWEL. THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE. I didn't do breakfast, actually didn't know that breakfast was provided. We had to park 3/4 doors up from the room where I was staying. Room numbers are not in order. I didn't feel too comfortable when coming going out or coming in at night because people were coming around the building, through the wooded area from all directions, some sitting in cars. (seemed like a hang out)

Felt unsafe. The safety bar on the room was broken off, bullet proof glass in the lobby. Slept with a chair propped against the door. Not at all worth the 135 for a night.

It’s like the old time Red Roof but people still stayed they had no ice microwave or refrigerator and the heat is wall heat and will run u out the room just my opinion and being honest

The room had never been cleaned. Dirty sheets piled on the bed and trash on the floor. I tried to get a refund and because it was booked through Expedia, they would not give me a refund and Expedia couldn’t help either. So do yourself a favor and stay away.

The staff was friendly and the room itself was clean but it smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. I also paid for a room with a mini fridge and a microwave, I don’t have a mini fridge or a microwave in my room. I will never stay at this hotel again and I wouldn’t recommend it to any of my friends or family.

Perfectly fine stay for a few days and party of 3. Area felt safe and we were not bothered in any way. Greensboro Coliseum is within walking distance and there are restaurants and convenience stores along the way. Somewhat dirty and dim, and the AC is old and noisy, as to be expected for the price point.

Safety! Selling drugs in the back. People living on premises. Not sanitary. Plumbing backed up. Ac not freezing but cool outside so not the worst part of it. I brought my 15 year old to a competition at Greensboro arena and felt extremely unsafe. Brought our belongings to and from the venue each day because of the surroundings of people that were there. Not a family environment. Would not recommend families to stay there.

I checked in and when I walked in my room i immediately saw roaches. The room was dirty there was hair all over the bed. The door didn’t seal completely. The bathroom was nasty. I couldn’t even stay there. They did give me my money back though.

Dated but clean! Little off putting needing to go into a vending room to check in behind a thick window. Check in was a breeze, plenty of parking and well lit. Will stay again if we’re ever in the area, very close to the coliseum as well!

Parking felt quite safe as well as the surrounding areas. Nice restaurants nearby and easy to walk to the coliseum. Rooms were spacious enough and the bed was comfortable and clean. Very nice for the price.

Check in was not normal as previous times longer time to check in I was the only one in line and pre registered with a credit card still took 25 mins people came in and left because it took so long! No remote control and tv did not work this has been the second time I stayed here (this will be my last) that something did not work and the trash that hangs around don’t even stay there were loud and pacing all night this was a horrible experience and I will never stay at this one again! It seems more like an extended stay with trash!!

The room had lingering smell of a smoker in it. The dead bolt on the door to secure it at night would not work. The metal flange of the door seemed to be stopping it. There were black curly hairs on the shower walls. I have stayed here for the past several years to attend the State Wrestling Tournament at the Coliseum and really did not expect to be staying at a really nice place. I come here because I just need a place to sleep. The cost/location is a big factor in why I stay here.

I usually choose to stay here whenever I'm staying 1 night, but this time the room was horrible. I didn't have an iron. I killed 2 bugs as soon as I walked into the room. There was a large beetle in the corner of the room above the sink. As I sat on the bed taking to my old roommate, a roach crawled across the night stand and onto my can of beer. Later I saw another roach running across the sink. I asked if I could switch rooms, I couldn't. I asked for my money back, I was told it was non-refundable. Worst stay ever!! There's an option to add pics, but it won't let me! I took pictures of the bugs.

I’ve always heard horror stories about red roof ends being dirty, but this was very clean, updated, quiet, and the room smelled very good when I checked in. It was a very pleasant experience and definitely worth the money.

The location was really busy with alot of in and out traffic on the parking lot all night long. The room was ok as far as comfort but needed a good cleaning and refreshed paint eapecially in the bathroom.

Do not stay here. Ever. Huge human stain of some kind between beds. Nail file underneath chair. Escorts arguing with clients at 4am in the parking lot. Marijuana cigar paraphernalia left next to my car. Bathroom so tiny you could touch door and shower faucet at same time while sitting on toilet. Mattress so thin that when you sit down you can barely see the mattress. Worst motel/hotel I have ever stayed in.

The coffee pot slide in was missing, so I could not make coffee in the room.

The lady working in the property was unpleasant. She snapped at customers who were coming in to check in at the proper time. The rooms were clean.

However, I do have one concern: some of the people the hotel attracts can be off-putting. I’ve noticed individuals who seem to wander the halls aimlessly, appearing lost or weary, and others who can be a bit aggressive at night (in how they talk in the halls). There are also some long-term residents who linger and stare through the windows, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Despite this, I want to emphasize that the hotel itself and the surrounding area are safe. It’s not that there’s anything inherently dangerous about the location—it’s just that a few of the people around can come across as shady.

It seemed like a decent area, but when we were checking in, I felt like maybe it wasn’t. We had to check in from the ice machine room, and had a drop box to pass things through…

The housing staff was backed up when my room was supposed to be ready. I arrived at 3:30 PM and did not receive my room until 4:45 PM. Housekeeping was super nice, and when the housekeeping lady saw that my room was still dirty, she dropped everything to help me. The king room is significantly smaller than the double with two queens, but it has everything that you need. In general, I don’t like outdoor hotels, but this red roof is good. Had everything I needed, the air conditioning controls were easy to use, and I got hot water. Overall I would save at the hotel is good

If you need a place to stay for the night that has basic necessities this place is great. Are there bells and whistles? No, but I can say with certainty that my needs were met. The desk in the room was nice, the AC control was excellent, the beds might be uncomfortable for people who are less heavy. I consider myself to be heavy, so the spring of the bed didn’t bother me as much, though I kind of feel it right now. That is to say, you might feel it the next day if it does affect you. there was plenty of lighting in the room, they were plenty of towels and regular hot hotel goodies. My room did not have a microwave or refrigerator, but it had the space for a microwave or refrigerator. I’m not sure if that means that it was removed or what, but it would’ve been nice to have those perks. in general, the surrounding area was safe. Every now and then there were people hanging out by a room door for a couple of minutes, which is not my style, so I was definitely cautious around those people, but the environment was relatively safe. There weren’t a ton of people hanging out around. in terms of noise, all I heard a little something here and there, the walls were relatively soundproof, and there was no noise from outside of my room or beside that kept me from sleeping or working. Had some trouble finding my room. The way the buildings run in terms of rooms makes no sense, but I did find my room eventually.

Theysaid the room was nonsmoking, but it smelled like someone was smoking in it terrible odor. The king bed had only 2 small pillows on it, we asked if they could give us 2 more pillows they said they didn't have any???

Person who Checked me in was nice my room was dated and items were broken in my room could have been more cleaned door did not have a security latch and room smelt like smoke even tho it was non smoking and the air conditioner is very loud ended of leaving early.

It's a small room, but it's fine for an overnight stay. It was a king room and we asked for an extra pillow. They said they had none to spare even though there were several empty rooms. It was difficult to keep the room at a comfortable temperature but you get what you pay for. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable enough and we saw no bugs

3 oclock check in means 3 oclock, being literally 5 min early instead of a smile they pointed at the clock. By 3 there were 8 other people in the box to get out of the heat. Beds were horrible, may as well been sleeping on the springs themselves. No working ice machines in the 2nd building, no water in the vending machine neither, tap water was room temp at best. Door to the room looked like it had been kicked in at some point, latch lock was hanging by a screw. Still using old key cards that demagnetize so mind which pocket you keep it in.

I admire how much they have improved since 2 years ago. The flowers 💐🌹 that they have planted looks Great from the balcony, a bench two to enjoy the scenery. The wood fence along the side needs weed killer to prevent it taking over the fence. I noticed that the tub is slippery unless it's my body soft feet 😆. Also the stopper in the tubs seems to be not intact.

This is not a place for anyone to take their children. To many drugs and to much drinking. During my stay, my daughter and myself seen drugs on the ground in the parking lot. During the check in, the guy would not get off the phone to talk to me. Had I gotten all my money back after being there for an hour and seeing what we seen and hearing the things we heard I would have went and stayed somewhere else. The wonder lady at checkout was the best part of the place.

And did not bring clean ones for at least two hours holding up our day.

I called before I went and asked if I could check in early and a man told me that if I purchased the superior room I could check early without having to pay the extra $ fee because that’s all they had available. I purchased the room and when checking in I was told that I still had to pay the fee and he doesn’t know who I talked to on the phone.

I stay here on a regular basis when visiting Greensboro and will continue to stay here, however, this time I saw three roaches in the room I was in crawling after I woke and was getting dressed. When I walked in the room smelled of marijuana (and I IMMEDIATELY informed the hotel staff), and while I was laying in bed I noticed that the fire alarm was disconnected (which is probably why the room smelled like marijuana). I have stayed here most of the times I'm visiting Greensboro but this one was by far one of my not so good experiences.

I had to ask for a different room. The first room smelled like it had recently been a smoking room. Also, the air-conditioning unit had no controls so you couldn't adjust the temp and the only way to turn it on and off was to unplug it! The staff was very nice (moved me per my request). Nice area to walk the dog.
