Holiday Inn Greensboro Coliseum by IHG

We stayed here for one night to see Megan Moroney at First Horizon coliseum. It was a 15 min walk to the coliseum to and from and we got to avoid the horror of concert parking arrivals and departures. The hotel staff was AMAZING. So helpful and kind. Room was clean and beds were comfy. I would love to stay here again next time we come out to Greensboro.

Wish the bathroom had a ventilation fan so it wouldn't be so muggy throughout the room. Also add black out curtains that we can actually close so the lights from the streets aren't shining through. Other than that, the staff and area were great.

Bar food in the restaurant was good, but I would ditch the “Doritos nachos” for something more authentic. That wasn’t worth the price, but everything else (burgers, fries and wings) was fine.

Proximity to the Coliseum. The complimentary coffee need upgraded. Just put carafes out like double tree does. Don’t use the crappy machine coffee.

The staff was amazing we arrived an 90 mins early before check in and was able to get our room. The amenities fantastic and they had just opened the pool and my daughter was ecstatic.

Hotel was a perfect place to stay for a concert in Greensboro. The staff were very friendly, the rooms clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I think it would be nice if breakfast was included in the price, rather than having to pay extra for it. Other than that, a great stay!

I love this hotel we always stay here when we stay in Greensboro, very nicely situated.

No Continental breakfast. No record of previous deposit paid to hold room, bathroom sink was clogged and draining very slow

When possible, I always stay at IHG hotels. This one in Greensboro was a great location close to the airport. It was clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly and professional.

Breakfast was overpriced, late, and had to be manned by a security guard, which is just scary. The bathroom does not have proper ventilation, which has caused any metal surface to rust/ I provided this feedback to the staff, and it was received with a combative attitude. Would suggest you find somewhere else to stay.

Great hotel! Very comfortable beds and the breakfast buffet was very good, but not free. Room was very spacious and the staff are all wonderful and very helpful.

The key cards to my room were constantly not working six times to be exact. I did not keep my cards near my phone or credit cards. It was their doors/cards. The price charged by booking.com was a ripoff, it would have been cheaper if I booked with the hotel but I couldn't get through to the property.

Breakfast seemed stale. The fruit was brown. The breads/pastries were stale. We stayed 3 nights but only had breakfast on the first day because of the quality of the food. Washroom shower had no pressure at all. The rooms were clean but the tea/ coffee wasn’t refilled when we checked in.

Breakfast is a little pricey, but there is a burger king next door. Place was completely clean even with a bunch of concert goers there. Staff was more than helpful. I had issues with my keys that may have been user error, but they still came and fixed it. Pool was not in use yet. Out of season.

My family and I stayed at this hotel on March 27th and checked out the 28th before noon. I get a phone call today April 3rd from the management staff stating that i was banned from this hotel because a somebody that i have no idea of who they are called the hotel by the name of ZaBrian Johnson said that he had left some shoes in a room that we stayed in. He became irate called the staff out of their names and threatened them. I explained to them that i had no idea of who this person was because there was no male in my room it was just me and my daughter. So as i’m talking to management she stated the dates were March 28th check in and March 29th checkout. So i told her the date and time we checked in and the date and time we checked out. So i asked to speak to higher management and she told me that the girl gave me the wrong dates. This has left a bad taste in my mouth for all Holiday Inns worldwide. I’m not the type of person that associate myself with people like that. I really feel violated with my identity.

They increased price by $100 once I arrived which was not what your site showed or what I agreed to Shower was bad while showering water turned brown and I went to desk and they did not move me so I had to deal with it. Sink was brown also. Never going back!!

The hotel rooms were clean and the buffet breakfast was decent. We didn't try the pool but it seemed like a decent size. Also it was an easy hotel to get to. Right off the highway with fast food options all around. The front parking lot was full on the first night. Fortunately we found parking on the side. Also we arrived late so they had a security guard working the front. He seemed a little on edge for his job. You're working at a Holiday Inn, slow your roll. It's not that serious.

Not very clean, dusty light fixtures, dirty stainless steal and walls in general areas and the room smelled strongly of cologne but no fan to move the air in the room and get the smell out. No microwave. Staff was nice but the hotel was empty and they gave us the furthest room from anything so there was a long walk to get to the lobby. Overall I would rank the experience and hotel as “fair”.

It was nice to have 4 sets of clean towels placed in the bathroom for 2 people to stay. Breakfast was worth buying as options. Clean room and absolute no odor or noise. They take care of the building very well and well renovated.

Close to the venue and restaurants Staff didn’t stock the restroom with toiletries. When asked can they bring it; they didn’t. Water pressure at the sink was low pressure.

So we could not take showers. We alarmed front desk they did they would send housekeeping which never came, so we checked out to take showers at home and we were out of town

Check-in was a bit rough. I didn’t receive instructions on how to park and there was no parking in front. I had to come back inside to figure that out. There’s only a small parking lot in front FYI. However, the rest of the staff was very nice and helpful. Ruhm was fine and clean.

It was spacious. Not only my room but the lobby area! Plenty places to sit all around. The whole hotel were clean. I was here because my water line at my apartment was stopped up so I had to get a room for the night. I didn't get here till around 8 p.m. because I was hoping it got fix but were told they couldn't till the next day because of the problems. I hadn't ate all day before getting here so I tried the cafeteria here. I order wings and they were the best I ever had. They were also a nice size. I decided to sit here in the lobby area after checkout to make sure my apartment was ready. While sitting here the manager have walked the floor many of times checking everything to make sure the area was clean. Thats a plus! My son tried to get a late checkout but none was available. Said they were book which was understandable. I did like the fact their check out time were later than other hotel I tried to book which was the reason I booked here. One suggestion I would make is more outlets around each sitting area in the lobby. The one that was at the bottom of the seat I was sitting in the space was to closed in to fit the block on my phone. Wanted to charge it while sitting here. But that's only a minor thing. I would book here again.

The hotel was clean, they had excellent communication via text with everything we needed to know. No issues at all.

1. Was not informed breakfast ended at 9:30 and when arriving at 9:37 was told oh well. 2. Was woken up by housekeeping knocking at 8: 00. 3. Water pressure in shower almost nonexistent. Overall hotel itself was fine however staff was definitely lacking.

Everything was good except check-in. Policy for check in is terrible. I arrived early and told room was not ready which was understandable. But then proceeded to watch 5 people be checked in after that! That was very frustrating! When i asked what was going on i was told rooms were assigned night before and my room wasnt ready but the others where. That is ridiculous! Most rooms are exactly the same i should have been checked into a room that was available not had to wait for an hour when you proceeded to check people in after me.

Everything was good except check-in. Policy for check in is terrible. I arrived early and told room was not ready which was understandable. But then proceeded to watch 5 people be checked in after that! That was very frustrating! When i asked what was going on i was told rooms were assigned night before and my room wasnt ready but the others where. That is ridiculous! Most rooms are exactly the same i should have been checked into a room that was available not had to wait for an hour when you proceeded to check people in after me.

The staff was new and didn't understand how to handle difficult situations as far as billing is concerned. Thw general manager kevin was arrogant and rude. He hung up on me without resolving my issue. I will never stay at another one of your facilities.

This was the first time I've stayed at a Holiday Inn and I will use them in the future if they are like this property. First of all I want to praise Margie the gentlewoman who helped us check-in. She was kind and answered my questions. The rooms were spacious and they have adjoining rooms for families which was a plus. They were clean. The beds were so comfortable. Our double bed room had a tub in the bath which is another plus when giving kids a bath. The breakfast was great however, it is not included in the stay but kids eat free so that's a plus. Plenty of places to order from for food and short drives to places to explore. Ample parking. I wish they had USB/usb-c charging ports.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and I loved that we could easily and safely walk to an event at White Oak Amphitheater. I did NOT love that, after a late night and with a noon checkout time, housekeeping was knocking on our door at 8am. Other than that, our whole stay was a great experience!

What stood out most for me as a frequent traveler was how clear instructions were throughout the stay about checkout, housekeeping, etc. The texts were super helpful and appreciated. Cons: The bed wasn’t as comfortable as I would have hoped, there is no microwave in the room, and the bathroom door in room 235 could use a cosmetic update (it looked like the paint was melted or corroded). Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I choose this location every time I go to Greensboro.

The hotel was good. My mistake I thought that I had purchased with breakfast. That was my mistake. I am use to staying at Holiday Inn Express where breakfast is included. There was not a microwave in the room. That should have came automatically. The room were nice and roomy and the bed was very comfortable. I think I will stick with Express.

Everything was excellent, except the shower pressure. On a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 2. Asked a couple guests and their answer was the same.

Went there for a country music show ,hotel location was great ,the people working the front desk were very nice and knowledgeable about the show and how to commute to the show and back to the hotel.

June 16th, 2025 I was in town due to a concert. I chose this hotel based off the location and the reviews. The outside was very clean with front and rear parking. The lobby was very clean and the receptionist was very polite. The hotel could use new carpet. The room was VERY CLEAN and spacious. It was very quiet at nighttime as well. I would recommend this hotel and I definitely will stay again.

I loved the property. We had so much fun enjoying my birthday. The only issue was my daughter received bedbug bites on her leg. I notified the front desk and the manager moved us to another room and disinfected the room I was in.

Pool was closed due to a thunderstorm but weather was sunny. We didnt get to use the pool at all.

No complaints at all about the hotel. It is very clean and staff ever friendly and accommodating. It was very convenient for our event at the Coliseum however the surrounding area is described as sketchy and not recommended for walking from the Coliseum at night which is a shame as it’s just a mile down the road.

Our check-in process was pleasant and smooth. When we got to the room, it was nice and clean. We did notice there wasn't a microwave and the design of the shower was strange. The design of the shower didn't close. So the showers were uncomfortable, and you couldn't enjoy a hot shower because of the cold air flowing in. The bed was not the best, but overall, it was quiet and clean, and we survived.

Grateful that there was communication that the pool was closed. But it was still disappointing due to how warm the weather was. The beds were extremely hard. Overall a great stay. Staff was wonderful and very welcoming.

Very expensive for not having any complimentary amenities. Literally, could not get a cup of coffee after I had checked out without paying a dollar, which they attempted to charge to my card. Didn't recognize the charge so I had to scrap my card and get a new account number issued

We were in town for our daughter’s graduation from UNCG. We’ve stayed here many times since the first time we visited campus three years ago. This is always a nice place to stay. Staff is always helpful and friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Definitely will be back again and recommend for others in the future.

This hotel was spotless. The front desk was friendly and efficient. Had chicken wings in the restaurant and they were meaty and delicious.

We come to Greensboro often for swim meets at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. We have had some BAD experiences at other local hotels, poor customer service, unprofessional employees, etc. Our stay at the Holiday Inn this weekend was WONDERFUL. Some of the best, polite, friendly, hotel employees I've seen in a long time. The front desk clerks were great. Hotel seemed like it had been renovated since we were last there. The in room refrigerator was HUGE and even had a "working" freezer section that kept my cooler ice packs solid over the course of 48 hours. Very positive experience. The Holiday Inn Coliseum remains our "go to" when in the area.

Parking was never an issue — there were always plenty of free spots available. The hotel felt very safe at all times, and the modern facilities and equipment really added to the comfort of my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Staff was great. Room was clean and comfortable. However, the room doesn’t have a bathroom exhaust fan so taking a hot shower makes everything moist. It’s possible that I overlooked this in booking but I expected a microwave (especially since there was a mini fridge). I couldn’t get the mini fridge to work so I gave up. We were only there for 3 nights so didn’t bother to call housekeeping to look at fridge.

We had a very nice stay at this Holiday Inn. Rooms were clean and the staff was nice! Very close to Koury convention center as well as the aquatics facility and stadium.

Staff excellent. Particularly the breakfast staff, high numbers trying to get breakfast, but staff did well staying on top of the food needed and keeping the area clean.

The hotel is really close to the coliseum and Piedmont Hall, so its very convenient. The staff are awesome and the facilities are clean. But skip the $17.99 breakfast, and hit Biscuitville which is basically next door.

This was a very nice and clean hotel. The staff was very friendly. We stayed here because of the closeness to the concert we went to at First Horizon Collesium. I highly recommend this one.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I was disappointed in a few things. One, the cost of breakfast was $16 a person, and wasn’t much different than the typical free breakfast that many other hotels offer. Two, the fire alarm went off at 8:30am and woke us up and we weren’t offered any explanation. Third, house keeping came knocking at 9:00 when check out is noon. What if we wanted to sleep in? It seemed like their way of waking you up so that you would get out early so they could clean.

The hotel was well maintained and the beds were super comfortable and each pillow was labeled “soft” or “firm” which isn’t a necessity but I thought it was pretty cool. The only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast buffet was $16.99 per person and it is the same breakfast they have been serving at hotels since I can remember so that was kind of a shock. All of the staff was very nice as well!

Very nice hotel in Greensboro. The front desk staff was very well represented and were very accommodating. The breakfast was very good with great variety. The room was very clean and comfortable. My only concern is that the supposedly “first floor”isn’t on the first floor . You must take steps up and use a mini elevator for bags, carts and wheelchairs to get to your room. The designers, engineers and owners of the hotel must have all been on vacation when the hotel blueprints were approved . Which begs to ask who approved this huge failure?

The pillows are uncomfortable so my neck was a mess the next day. The parking is limited and when I checked in I wasn’t told about the additional parking with a code, so it took longer to get access to that area. The room overall was good, spacious and clean.

Beds were good, but I asked for a King and got two beds. The bathroom needs ventilation so the stuff doesn’t rust and the shower door is open so water damages the back of the door. The maid knocked on my door at 8am and checkout is 12. Have a dang list of who is checked out start on those rooms first. Sorry I didn’t put out the do not disturb sign.

Overall good. I’ve been traveling for over 30 years for business and never been asked to sign a 1 page guest code of conduct in addition to the usual checkin in pages. It’s a major red flag, and suspect it’s because they are so close to the stadium.

This property was family oriented/friendly. I would definitely recommend this property for family with kids. The pool goes to 8 feet.

I stayed here some years ago, around 2013/2014. The hotel then was great, clean and up to date. Now in 2024 it doesn't seem as if the hotel has been upkept in the rooms to a high regard. Seems out of day, poor yellow lighting, and outdated carpet. I won't stay here again until it's been updated.

My wife and I stayed in a suite it was a nice and quiet we would stay there again. The front parking is small but there is more in the bach.

We were very pleased with our stay. We especially liked the size of our room. The beds were extremely comfortable. We rested very well, waking refreshed and ready to continue on our trip. Highly recommend this location.

Staff were wonderful and accommodating. Enjoyed the breakfast very much. When I asked no one was able to tell me where the handicapped parking was. I finally found it to the left of the front entrance in a lot ACROSS THE STREET. The shower had little to no water pressure. I would stay here again.

The staff was great! The elevator went out and you had to walk far to get to the other elevator and use a lift with the luggage cart; all very inconvenient. Breakfast was good. I like the staff serving the food instead of everyone helping themselves. Overall I had a good stay.
