Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel

All around truly an excellent resort from the amenities to the food. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely will be back.

We were pleasantly surprised that there was a hot tub as we did not see it noted when we booked our room. We loved the pool and hot tub! There were helpful hallway signs to make navigating the resort easier. The room was clean and the food was delicious; however, at a late dinner (8:45pm) and breakfast (9am) the service was very slow to order 2 salads and pancakes and fruit. At both meals, there were only up to 4 other tables with guests so it was definitely not a busy time of day. Kelly at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. She was knowledgeable and didn’t hesitate to make our stay more enjoyable.

The resort is very nice but the staff and service is not good. The service in the restaurant was terrible it took 20 minutes just to get a coffee. The front desk staff were not friendly and the internet was not working so I didn’t have TV service in my room. I asked for a 1/2 hour late check out and they wouldn’t give it to me.

She should have suggested that reservations are recommended but she did not. So when we went to the buffet for breakfast was told it was over an hour wait. I told them why didn"t someone suggest reservations. The did not know, so we ended up going out for breakfast, Very disappointed. Poor communication More knowledge of the facilities For example times of breakfast, elevator location etc.

I loved everything about the facilities and the staff. The rooms though are very average and we had no working air system in ours. The shower only had a straight down spout so hard to avoid washing hair when you only want to rinse off.

The property was aesthetically beautiful. The exterior including golf course, fountains and cobblestone give the property an elegant look. The interior design and decorative elements further add to the property’s overall aesthetic. It even smelled luxurious. The room and pool area were exceptionally clean, spacious and well maintained. Every staff person from the front desk to housekeeping was polite and professional. My entire experience was excellent and my family and I plan to visit again soon.

Was about to pick another hotel because other reviews mention that hotel needs update . In our opinion was more than fine . No modern with lights or usb outlets but that isn’t important. It covers or priority needs and it’s one of the best hotels in the area! The plus is the outdoor pool, golf course and tennis courts .

Very Nice resort. First time staying there and considering the time of year and it being half full, they choose to stick me in a room that overlooked the gravel roof…. So much potential beauty to see from most of the rooms and this is where they decided to stick me and my son who attends HPU. I would not be recommending this resort

The rooms are spacious, the amenities are great including several places to eat, a gorgeous golf course, both indoor and outdoor pool, and a terrific singer in the bar in the evening. The included breakfast was outstanding too!

The staff was very nice. They charge a resort fee. All I wanted to do it sit by a pool…which was out of commission. No hot tub or pool. The resort is very dated. You feel like you’re at the mall.

The pool and hot tub was closed for renovations we were not told about this prior or at check in which was very disappointing as it was one of the main reasons for booking here for my 21at birthday. The restaurant was closed by 10 pm

Many places to relax in front of fire. Many areas to grab a bite to eat. Bartender at the lobby bar where we grabbed some food made the stay!! Additionally, security adds a level of comfort. They should ask those smoking various products to move away from front door and door by elevator. It just shouldn’t fill the building.

This golf resort is beautiful, but the customer service was disappointing. Weeks before our stay, I told a resort specialist we were celebrating our 5-year anniversary and was offered complementary champagne and truffles. At check-in, nothing was provided, and when we asked, we were told we could get them only if we paid. Management never followed up. On top of that, we couldn’t adjust the room temperature, making it hot and uncomfortable, and the only solution offered was a box fan. For a resort at this price point, this level of service and lack of follow-through is unacceptable.

The Best

The lovely lady that checked us in was terrific. Our flight was hideously delayed and she had already made arraignments for our key cards to be ready to avoid any delay in us getting to our room. At 2:20 AM that was a really appreciated gesture. And there was a gentleman who was cleaning the floors who was so kind - saying hello and pointing the way to the elevators. Top notch staff interactions!

The resort was wonderful except for the rain shower heads which were placed in a bad location to be able to take a quick shower without getting your hair soaked. They need to replace them with ones that are more practical.

Another very enjoyable stay at Grandover. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain during our stay so my husband couldn’t golf and we couldn’t use the pool. However, we used the hot tub and enjoyed meeting some of the other guests as we relaxed there. Dinner at Finials was as delicious as the other times. I especially recommend the filet mignon followed by the blond brownie dessert. Room was clean and comfortable. A special shout out to our server at Finials and the long lady at the casual food counter by the game room. Terrific service and just really pleasant people. Will be returning to Grandover again.

The property has a lot to offer for families.

Property was supposed to be a top resort in the area. Room don’t even have glasses to use in the room. Just paper cups. Also there was no shower caps. It was ok but I was disappointed with the property. They also messed up my billing and still haven’t fixed it after many days.

The staff, every single person went above and beyond! They were kind and helpful and so friendly; I enjoyed my stay so much and will definitely consider returning on my next trip to Greensboro!

We had power in our hotel the first day, the hotel stated that they would be camping that day and taking it off our bill. After we went to check out, they told us they had to charge us, but you guys would be responsible for refunding that day plus tax.

The only glitch is the pro shop opening almost 30 minutes late. The team handling the carts including the starter but very apologetic so it took the sting off… will definitely stay here again!

Staff was very professional and friendly. The facilities are excellent and the food was very delicious. This was a return trip because the first was excellent also. Highley recommend, especially if you play golf, but not required. They have two 18 hole golf courses that are very well maintained.

Great experience other than the rooms not being ready for several guests at the 4:00 check in time. But they worked hard to make sure we had anything we needed while waiting. Such a great overnight trip with our toddler. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to weather so we didn’t get to enjoy all the beautiful outdoor spaces. We will be back!

No one could get in their room. Staff was awful. Telling us it will be 29 min. 2 hours later i got told i would be escorted out because i said i wasnt leaving front desk till i got my room. I did all prebooking online day before. Awful customer service. I only saw parking lot and lobby.

I celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday here and we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities, golfing and swimming! The main restaurant had delicious food and friendly waitstaff. We look forward to coming back here again!

Given a $ off dinner for two at Finial, the on site restaurant, only to be told by the hostess they were short staffed and unable to accommodate a walk in party of 2, at 7 PM on a Wednesday, while looking at the floor, less than 20 people total were currently seated, wow? After making a reservation then more than an hour wait at the bar, and an appetizer from the same kitchen, to ensure we didn’t receive poor service. The server couldn’t have been worse than if it was her first day in food service. The food was excellent as always, but 3.5 hours start to finish is absurd. Luckily the pool doesn’t close until 11, except for today apparently, we were in the hot tub for less than 5 minutes when a security guard whose demeanor appeared as though we had burglarized the Louvre, by his attempting multiple keys and not realizing the door was locked magnetically arrived at the entrance. After watching him for a few minutes, I exited the hot tub, walked to the door, pressed the exit button and opened the door for him, only to be greeted with, “the pool’s closed” with a tone reminding me of a parent scolding a child for doing something they had already been told to not do. My reply was simply, I’m not in the pool, I’m in the hot tub and there is no sign denoting this. If I came in the door he had just been let in, there was indeed a sign stating same, only issue is that I entered through the door nearest the elevator that I take down from my room. Resort? I think not, motel at best!

There are many activities that you can do at this resort. The regular room is very spacious and well appointed. The staff goes over and above to accommodate. We plan to return next year.

We love the hotel, our bathroom had a leaking and a stain on the roof. But other than that, it’s a beautiful hotel. People were super nice.

I like the fact that everyone was nice if I needed help they were right there. The facility was very clean and home filling and if my six-year-old granddaughter is amazed with your establishment, then I know that you’re doing a great job because for her kindergarten graduation she wanted to stay at the Grandover And she got two nights and she’s the happiest little five-year-old in the world. So thank you for everything you do.

We like the resort. We expected to have a nice sit down breakfast before we left town. However, the restaurant was closed for breakfast! Had to go elsewhere.

I loved the welcoming vibe - the Bellsmen, Concierge Service, and the great Customer Service. Everyone was helpful from beginning to end. I loved everything about this property ans how it's being run.

The restaurant staff was unfriendly when I placed an order to go and after placed order they got the order wrong and the shower drain was not draining

The resort is absolutely beautiful and the staff (every single person we interacted with) was top-notch! So very helpful & kind. Our dinner at the restaurant was fantastic. We are very much looking forward to our trip back this fall! Just wish there was food/beverage service poolside. ;)

I had to wait an entire hour to check in. I requested a late check out time and was denied.

Beautiful place, all amenities available at hotel. Two very noticeable things. Wi-fi never worked the whole stay. Also the Spa area would never answer the phone.

I reversed a room for 1day to see how it was and my family and I loved it, no one wanted to leave. My oldest son said he didn't want to leave and he never says that about any previous hotel we stayed at. Next time i will book it for 3 days. The only thing i didn't like is the late check-in at 4pm, my room wasnt ready until 430pm. I think it was a wasted of a stay cause u have to wait so long to check-in. I feel like they should give you late check-out.

Just a really cool spot! Hotel, service, staff etc. Not a 5 star property but doesn’t claim to be. Will be back next time I’m in the area👍

A quick one night stay. We thoroughly enjoyed dining at the Finial. Wonderful service from top to bottom.
