Cute. Clean. Easy to get to. Quiet. Having to remember to do the parking app. It would be better if you just paid for parking with the room.

Right in the heart of downtown Grand Junction within walking distance of plenty of bars and restaurants. Try Cruise Control a couple blocks from hotel for great beer, cocktails and food. Hotel Melrose has been beautifully restored— Lovely sitting area, backyard patio, and a great lounge. We will definitely stay again.

The room was lovely. The bar keep in the foyer was very nice and helpful when the registration process hit a glitch. Didn't receive electronic keys when expected. Had to text management to get wi-fi password. No free parking.

I love this hotel. It’s a perfect spot to stay in Grand Junction. Close to great shops and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and the color is wonderfully moody. There is also a delightful bar attached to the hotel. Periodically, there is an odd rumbling that occurs. I can’t quite identify it. They do provide earplugs

Hotel Melrose was awesome! Renovated property, great location and super convenient check in/out.

This was an amazing stop along our roadtrip. The space was fun and welcoming! The staff were very helpful and friendly! And the atmosphere was unique and so beautiful! Highly recommend the Melrose!!

Beautiful property in the middle of downtown. Many restaurants to choose from within walking distance! Very small room which was fine for a night stay. No where to sit except bed. Wish I knew the bar wasn’t open.

The reception-less check in experience was not the most streamlined. The bed was very soft, I’m uncomfortable, and uneven. Otherwise, this spot was very cool. The rooms are beautiful, shower was great, and in a super location.

Great little hotel location is great for wandering on foot on downtown Junction.

We chose Hotel Melrose because it is one of the last historic hotels left in Grand Junction. It’s close to downtown shops and restaurants. Grand Junction is about 20-30 minutes from Palisades, Colorado which is a wonderful area to visit and taste a wide variety of wines. There are also a few distilleries in the area as well. The rooms are quiet and beds are comfortable. There is a nice sitting area outside as well as a bar(check hours) on the first floor. The hotel uses digital check in which was new for us but not difficult to use. Anything we needed was taken care of. There are 16 rooms in the hotel. It is also close to Colorado National Monument state park, great hikes and beautiful overlooks. You might see some big horn sheep during your visit. We will stay here again on our next visit to Grand Junction.

I have been traveling to Grand Junction for several years for work. This hotel is the absolute best hotel in the area. It's very difficult to find a hotel that gives you a feeling of being at home. This hotel does that and more. I highly recommend Hotel Melrose.

Great location and had parking available. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. This was my first experience with an all-virtual platform. So, I was not as prepared as I could have been to get checked in.

Clean room, great bar, awesome outdoor area
- 4/5
Tiny room with one double bed, but we only used the room to shower & sleep so it was fine. One window with blackout shades that faced a brick wall. Would’ve been a 5-starting, but we missed the sunlight in the room.

No desk area to work at and you have to pay to park on the street. Really clean an quiet

Once we worked out how to actually get into the hotel, we loved it. The lack of any staff and it being completely digital is both good and bad. That said, it is a superb place with a quirky, boutique feel - even if some of the furnishings are a little dangerous.
- 2/5
Room & hotel were clean, but there is no staff on site to help with anything. You have to text the AI Concierge to get anything. Parking is not included (extra $10.50/day), no table or chair to sit at, shower is extremely small, bar is too close to the rooms, so very noisy at night. The room was very expensive and not worth the price - there are no amenities to make it worth what we paid. Would never stay here again.
- 5/5
Very cool hotel. Great decorating. Easy access to support for a contactless hotel. Spotless.
- 5/5
Lovely property. I'm very much a hotel "snob" if you will, very particular and analytical and while there are a few things i would change, overall it's a very impressive, small hotel with a comfortable, clean, room with thoughtful in room amenities. I would stay here again and I would recommend this property. FYI, it took maybe 5 or 6 attempts to check in, for some reason it kept giving me an error code related to storage but it wasn't my storage on my phone it was an error from the site. Finally it suddenly worked.

We specifically chose Hotel Melrose as I really wanted to patronise a local business that Grand Jct desperately needs - unfortunately, Hotel Melrose misses the mark. There is a lot made of the technology-enabled stay - the benefits to the hotel are clear - no front desk costs, no mid-stay housekeeping, etc., but I very much struggled to see how the guest benefitted. There was a charge for an early check-in, which is, frankly, outrageous - a cost for a late check-out is justified, maybe you have extra housekeeping costs, etc. But $50 for an early check-in is pure greed. Add to that that the “keyless entry” just requires you to use your phone, constantly - lugging suitcases up stairs while you’re trying to unlock multiple doors on a phone is really awkward. Again, I can see how the hotel benefits but it’s really not an enjoyable arrival for the guests at all. The final straw was the envelope for a housekeeping tip… when you don’t get any housekeeping service during your stay. Hotel Melrose could be amazing but unfortunately they seem a bit too focused on optimising their profit at the expense of the guest, and it shows.

Nice, cozy hotel. Bathroom needed more counter space.
- 5/5
it was an amazing stay! will be back!
- 1/5
There is a bar in the building, that is available to walk ins, that are a bunch of noisy drunks. We are in room 103, and the noise is terrible. I don’t believe that these people are spending $275 a night to stay here. I regret believing the advertisement that this is the best hotel in Grand Junction.

Clean, beautiful room. Close to lots of fun eateries and bars. Bar in hotel is hopping and fun too.

We stayed here for our anniversary and they surprised us with bubbles and chocolate in our room. Jack the mixologist at the bar was amazing! We will definitely be back and have all of our family members who come to visit us will be staying there. Amazing location to local bars too!!

The room did not have a desk which was represented. It had a kitchen and a large area for a table, but no table. I could barely turn around in the shower and only had a rain shower head for the water which was not acceptable to my wife. The lobby bar was during our stay. Overpriced for the service.
- 4/5
Really loved this boutique hotel, apart from the heavy perfume of the room. The smell was overwhelming. However, in terms of interior design, they did pay a great deal of attention to the little details, providing a very posh environment. But keep in mind two things: it’s a very small hotel and we had a very small room, with dark paint colors making it feel even smaller; and then there is a bar practically right outside of the rooms, but thankfully that shuts down at 9pm. Otherwise the sound would be as overwhelming as the smells. But it was very clean and thoughtful. Not a bad experience at all. Would recommend, especially to extroverted women in their late 30s.
- 4/5
Our only issue was there were ZERO tables to put bags, hygiene bags in bathroom, or food on. Could use a thin table under the tv. Great details, well painted and decorated, very kitschy, lowkey hipster place. The bar downstairs with the pretentious hipster bartender and a few locals really topped it off for us 😂 and brought some life to the otherwise human-less establishment.

Very cute! Love the bar. Decorations are modern but classic. Very cool hotel. Perfect location for walking around downtown Grand junction

The room was excellent but the check in process was awful. It took over 20 min for the concierge to get us our virtual key. Cool tech only if it works right.

I've impressed how much downtown Grand Junction has improved since I started visiting as a kid. The street art can be impressive. I'm also glad to see this hip hotel be a part of the evolution of the downtown and the bar is fun after a long day. I visited the hotel while taking care of sick relative at a nearby hospital. I'm not a fan of digital check-In but the process was smooth and they responded right away. My issue is acoustics (I'm sure this has been written before) and the bar should figure out a way to make an air space/vestibule from the hotel corridor. Also I think the rooms should be serviced each night of your stay.
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful stay at the Melrose! This hotel has been beautifully renovated and the location is fantastic for walking downtown to shops and restaurants. The beds are extremely comfortable and the shower was great. The Melrose Spirit Co. is hands down one of the best cocktail bars in town. We stopped in every night of our stay and tried something new and everything was delicious! Plus it just has a great vibe. We come to GJ several times a year and this will definitely be our go to place to stay from now on!

By far!

Very nice, classic building with modern updates. Very chic. Great location. Close to everything. Was hesitant about no person on sight for check in but everything went well and was very easy using phone to unlock doors. Would definitely stay here again.

We didn’t go to the cocktail bar, but it looked very nice.

Really lovely historic building, updated with modern touches - really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again on our next visit.

Nice spacious large room. Loved the coffee bar area. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved my stay here. The rooms were clean and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. The cocktail bar in the Hotel was very cool with very friendly staff. Parking was easy. Check-in was easy. You can walk to a bunch of fun and delicious restaurants. Excellent space!
- 5/5
This is a super stylish boutique hotel. We loved the easy online check-in, chic rooms, design, and especially the Lobby Bar, which served craft cocktails! We were able to walk to every downtown destination with ease! We will definitely return; this is our favorite Downtown GJ hotel!
- 5/5
Excellent room. Nice location. Melrose Spirits was very good as well the owner and staff went out of their way to help us on a busy night!
- 5/5
Fabulous hotel with a fantastic bar…a must visit!!
- 5/5
Really clean.
- 5/5
I have traveled the world and have experienced hundreds of hotels, the Hotel Melrose is my favorite of all of them. Cozy, moody, and comfortable, I love this place. Craft cocktails at the bar are a great way to unwind from traveling, and the staff is 10/10. I hope to visit for a third time soon.
- 5/5
The property is gorgeous and clean. Very nice area and walkable to a lot of bistro, coffee, houses, cafés, pubs in the main street area. Very quaint area. Super simple check in and check out. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
The room looked newly decorated, was spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed. However, it was very dark and you couldn’t even open the blinds as it was overlooked by a car park. The hotel has no staff on site and the experience of downloading an entry key and effectively doing everything for yourself is not something I would do again. I expect to have some level of service at a hotel, it just seems so impersonal. I would avoid this kind of hotel experience again.
- 5/5
Wonderfully restored historic hotel. Great atmosphere with the bar/lounge and outdoor patio area.
- 3/5
Also the little green light on the ceiling is pretty annoying. And the noise from the bar is loud enough to require earplugs. Otherwise the room was spectacular. Very clean and comfy. The giant mirror was fun.
- 5/5
Was very impressed with hotel. Easy to access and clean.
- 5/5
Parking is limited. Let people know where parking is available prior to their arrival.
- 5/5
Me and my wife had a blast in this beautiful property, attention to details a great asset!!!
- 1/5
Worst hotel I ever booked. No staff. Awkward entry system to hotel and room. Gothic dark. Depressing, horrible paint scheme, no chair to sit in, no water glasses no lobby. Web site wants tip for staff. There is no staff!! Homeless drug addicts hanging around outside. Nightmare.
- 5/5
Everything went well. Liked the bar downstairs.
- 1/5
The staff was incompetent. It is a "key-less" hotel so good luck getting anything you need. The last day the "digital key" ended the stay early and no one answered my calls.
- 5/5
The Hotel Melrose was a super fun, modern stay in a long line of hotels on our road trip. While the staff was not onsite, they were responsive and helpful when I couldn't find a light switch late in the evening. We will definitely visit again.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and attentive and we loved the speakeasy on site!
- 5/5
Quick stay on a longer road trip. Boutique hotel, cute decor with a bar on the main floor. Spacious room, comfy bed, free parking!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel! The bed was very comfortable, nice restaurants around the hotel. Super close to Main Street. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Easy and unique check in. Lovely rooms, excellent cocktail bar.
