The room looked like it was furnished in the 70s.. bare bones, function, And a little sketchy feeling... An average motel 6 offers a more modern comfortable room honestly...

Clean room, no bugs, quality bedding, park right in front of the room. Pet areas okay. Great location right off of I 70.

It was very clean and there was plenty of hot water in room 112 The bathroom fan sounded like it was dying. It seemed to almost be a safety issue. The pillows were awful. There was a large gap under the door. The shower chair was a hazard and appeared broken. So very dangerous

I stayed here for five days while working in Grand Junction, and I honestly can't think of a single thing I'd recommend about this place. The rooms were tired, worn out, and featured an air conditioner that looked like it survived the Nixon administration. Comfort was clearly not a priority. The staff somehow managed to be the worst part of the experience. Customer service appeared to be a completely foreign concept. Upon check-in, I specifically requested a late checkout and explained my work schedule. I was led to believe it would be accommodated. Apparently that conversation meant absolutely nothing. On checkout day, while I was at work, they forced my son out of the room and made him sit outside for nearly three hours until I could return. No concern, no flexibility, no effort to help—just "not our problem." Any hotel that thinks that's an acceptable way to treat guests shouldn't be in the hospitality business. I've stayed in roadside motels that offered better service, cleaner rooms, and more professionalism. The only thing this hotel consistently delivered was disappointment. Do yourself a favor: spend your money somewhere else. Literally anywhere else.

The smell was horrible!

Honestly staff was so unprofessional, such a bad experience, not recommended to stay here. Room was dusty and smells awful

Everything was awesome

The room was very clean and the front desk personnel did a great job.
- 2/5
Staff was great. Had our room moved twice due to wiring issues and no tv remote to turn on tv. Exterior of the motel was populated by one person sitting in their car as they had a variety of visitors. Lock and chain was broken on our front door but by that point we had no interest in moving rooms again.

Parking was limited. Bed was very nice.

Location and cost No fridge in room. Was told I booked a room without a fridge but I didn’t see that on the web site. Only bar of soap. No shampoo or conditioner. Cigarette butts by stairs the entire time I was there. And shockingly a previous persons towel was still hanging in the bathroom when I checked in. Was behind the door, but surprised cleaners didn’t notice it when they cleaned the bathroom.

Driving up to this motel it looks much worse than the pictures give off. Luckily when you go into the rooms, they look cleaner, but even then i still found a bunch of hairs and what looked like dead skin on the sheets and pillows. They gave us a room without a microwave or fridge when we booked a room with both of those, but after talking to the guy at the front desk he resolved that for us by moving us to a room with those things. Our bathroom door wouldn’t close. All in all, it’s fine if you literally just need a place to crash for a bit, but it made me feel icky and i don’t think I’ll be coming back.

False advertising when you book your hotel, they only use “the clean nice rooms”. There was nothing nice or clean about it, please do not stay here if you have children.

All good 👍

Cheap and clean! The bar was pretty good too.
- 4/5
Price is much lower than even the Super 8 in nearby Fruita. Much much lower. The highway next door is noisy during the day, but quiet at night. No noise from the neighbors or from downstairs, it was quiet. Hot water was fine. The bed was good, comfortable enough. More comfortable than Motel 6 bed (I've been to many Motel 6) The A/C machine was either doing nothing or next to nothing. The adjustment button was broken, but I had tiny pliers with me so I could still turn it. No result. No cooler when running it.

Good value for the price. Comfortable beds, good size room.

Clean rooms, ac was loud, staff was great, parking is good, getting into the parking lot was a bit confusing, over all stay was great
- 1/5
This place looks nothing like the photos posted. They must have used photos from when the building was much, much newer. It's basically a dump. There were tow of us, but 1 shampoo & conditioner packet. 1 soap bar. 1 coffee packet, but no container to put the coffee in so it was worthless. The room stunk. They apparently don't know how to repair or paint. The bathroom fan didn't work. You'd have to be desperate to want to stay here.
- 5/5
The place had a nice place to eat and drink. The employee's were more than willing to help my every need.

I did not feel safe at this location because the entrance to my room was outside on the street

The security lock was missing the ball to make it lock and the deadbolt did not work. Called at noon to get it fixed and at 9pm when we got back to the room it was not fixed. Quinn who was working the desk was great. She cane to the room with a drill and replaced the security lock and fixed the deadbolt

There were a lot of shady people standing around outside. It was so dark you couldn't see the numbers on the doors.

No elevator, all first floor rooms reserved for people with dogs. We are old and stairs were difficult.
- 4/5
Red Roof Inn is a very good place. They are doing some upgrades in the rooms to make them more comfortable. They are great for the price. I’m just sad that they don’t have a pool.
- 2/5
They need to try vacuuming the food and hair off the floor in the room (looks like it has been there for months), cleaning up the cobwebs from the ceiling, and spray for ants. Staff was pleasant though.
- 3/5
1 Packet of 2 and 1 shampoo/conditioner. There is no elevator for 2nd floor rooms. Room was good for an overnight stay.
- 3/5
Air conditioning was horrible.
- 3/5
Staff was good when you could find them. Nobody was wearing uniforms. Out of 17 days, my room was only cleaned once. There wasn't always coffee made each day. The on-site restaurant was very expensive. All kitchenette rooms were out of order; however I was also told they don't honor third-party reservations for that room type.
- 1/5
Hotel needs work and staff is not friendly at all
- 2/5
There were large ants in the bathroom, and the motel itself felt very old. The water in the tub kept running nonstop, which made it hard to rest. We only stayed for a few hours to catch up on sleep after a long drive and left as soon as we could. I kept waking up throughout the night and didn’t feel comfortable during the stay
- 4/5
On the plus side, I like that they still supply bar soap, and the bedding was fine with plenty of stench-free pillows. The location is convenient to I-70 but far enough from the highway to hear only minimal road noise. I would stay here again, although I thought it was kinda pricey for the condition of the room.

Booked a room for 4 people with 2 queen beds. However, the room only had 1 bed and a pull out couch. Which is fine, except I had to go ask for pillow and blankets for it as it was not provided in the room. The toilet was also leaking. We came in late and left early. We got the sleep we needed before heading out. Would stay again.
- 1/5
The hot water was barely warm. The sink leaked a puddle on the floor. They try and nickle and dime you with EVEYTHING. If the freezer had a door, it couldn't have been shut due to the freezer desperately needing to be defrosted. It was 2-3 inches thick. The floors are wet mopped here and there. So don't take your shoes off or your socks will be both stained and sticky. Very run down motel. We will NEVER stay there again!!!! #dump

dirty place.

The room was dirty, blood on the bedding, dog hair in the bathroom, we couldnt even shower or we woyld have been covered in dog hair that was stuck to the wall in the bathroom, as well as the tub and the border on the wall was torn apart. Not to mention the peeling paint where the shower nozzle has leaked and caused mold and peeling paint.

- 3/5
I have stayed here before, years ago and had a good experience, this time it seems to be under new management and has run down. The maintenance is poor, cleaning staff was poor, we had to change rooms 3 times before we received accepted accommodations. The hotel did not provide shampoo for its guests. The staff was friendly, but the owner wasn't. She was interrigating every guest about sneeking in pets or unpaid guests. Which we didn't have.
- 5/5
Room very clean and staff very helpful, and polite.
- 3/5
The staff had forgotten to vacuum the room and forgot to put any soap or shampoo in the room. There was a maintenance opening in the bathroom area that was unsecured and cracked open.
- 2/5
There was serious (old) water damage in the bathroom - peeling paint on the walls and the ceiling over the tub, paint flakes falling into the tub. I skipped my shower. The freezer section of the refrigerator was nearly full of ice - hasn't been defrosted in a very long time. And there was a huge reddish stain throughout the ice - maybe a can of soda exploded a while back and hasn't been cleaned out? There was no one staffing the front desk when I checked in (about 7:00 pm) - just a sign with a phone number to call for service. The clerk showed up pretty quickly, but by then there were three of us waiting. In the morning, I was going to report the maintenence problems, but there were already two people in the lobby waiting for the clerk. So I just left.
- 5/5
The room could have been cleaner. The bathroom floor behind the door was very dirty and there was hair stuck on the shower wall
- 5/5
I love this hotel it's quiet I am left alone with my peace which is exactly what I needed the staff are always amazing the rooms are always clean and I absolutely love the walk-in shower warm and cozy the room is and the staff are always inviting and the guy that cleans the rooms I don't know his name he looks like a big teddy bear is absolutely cool and straight up along with the rest of the staff and I appreciate that more than anything see you guys next time and thank you thank you thank you.
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly, and helpful, and the rooms were much cleaner than our previous hotel, but the rooms have a temperature problem. One of our rooms had no heat, and all we were told was that there’s an automatic temp gauge that only sets to 75 with no way to lower or raise it. They were freezing all night. The other room had nothing but heat, and we woke up about a dozen and a half times having trouble breathing just from the temperature. We had to sleep with the door open, which I honestly would not recommend given the location. All in all a pretty okay experience, not great, but better than our previous night at the 781.

We arrived at Red Roof Inn in Grand Junction around 8:00 PM and immediately had issues. There was no one at the front desk, so we had to wait and call the posted phone number. After check-in, we were assigned a second-floor room. Since my mom has knee problems, I went back to ask about a first-floor room, but once again there was nobody at the reception and I had to call again. We were told no first-floor rooms were available due to renovations. When we entered our room, we were hit with an extremely strong dog smell that made us choke. I fully support pet-friendly hotels, but rooms must be properly cleaned—especially when guests pay extra for pets. I had to return to the front desk for the third time, and again it was empty. It turned out the front desk employee was sitting in one of the motel rooms on the second floor. During all of this, there were multiple other guests waiting to check in. We were moved to another room. The smell was better, but there were no toiletries at all, not even soap. We were exhausted and didn’t want to deal with the front desk again. The room was dirty and poorly maintained: leaking shower faucet, shower curtain barely hanging, and a loose bathroom vent. The only positive was that the bed was comfortable and we slept well. There are many better hotels in Grand Junction, and I won’t be staying here again.
- 2/5
Window unit was loud. Zero outdoor lighting making any walk out scary. Homeless people wandering by.
- 3/5
For the price it was ok
- 2/5
No one at the front desk when I checked in, had to call the hotel phone # to get someone. Rooms were not clean, cob webs on the lightings, electric cord to a night stands was laying across the floor, problem with the heat-I wound not lower the temp., couple of times I had to open the door to cool the room down. Also the security locks on the door were broken. All in all the room was not up to par.
- 5/5
I love this hotel. It's quiet and no one bothered me at all and I love that cuz I really needed some personal time..
- 2/5
Cons: No shampoos in the room, Lots of traffic noise from outside, smoke detector had been removed from the room, beds were starting to show signs of wear, bad design on shower caused floor to flood, no breakfast. Heading east for a short trip, my wife and I stopped here overnight on a Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I asked the front desk for shampoo, but was told the owners no were no longer willing to supply it. We did not request a handicapped accessible room, but that is what we were given. That may account for the extra space in the room. Being accessible meant there was no barrier between the shower and the bathroom floor. Because of the use of a curved curtain rod, the curtain didn’t restrict the water to the inside of the shower and flooded the bathroom floor creating a serious “slip and fall” situation. I mopped it up with two towels before my accident prone wife went in. The beds were feeling a little lumpy as if they were getting old. There was no breakfast available in the morning. The Mexican restaurant was closed and the hotel did not provide anything. I won’t be coming back to this one.

Room was pretty clean. Bed was great! Toilet didn't flush. No shampoo! Grounds were disgustingly ... trash was overflowing and cigarette butts everywhere. Dirty!
- 2/5
This was honestly the worst hotel stay I can remember. The woman at the front desk was nice, but I checked into my room and went from disappointed to disgusted to alarmed pretty quickly--there were not enough towels and the bathroom was not clean, which is one thing, but there was literally s**t on the floor. I went back with pictures and was moved to a different room, where I discovered that the shower curtain rod was barely attached to the wall--loose and sagging. I was really tired and not dying to move all my stuff again but I went back to report on the shower curtain thing (because I did not want to get charged for that) and the woman just rolled her eyes and said yeah, we know about that but maintenance has not gotten around to fixing it. Later I discovered that the heater did not work and I was freezing, but was already in bed and just didn't feel like trying to get help (which I didn't expect would be forthcoming anyhow). I realize this is a cheap motel and I didn't have high expectations, but...ugh.

The room was clean. Bed comfortable. Heater worked. Shower had plenty of hot water. Nice choice for the price.

Poor and unprofessional staff, rooms and property were extremely dirty. When asked about the garbage and bags and falling out of receptacles they responded that it doesn’t get picked up by a few times a week. Would not recommend this facility unless you enjoy paying for filthy conditions of property..
- 2/5
My first introduction to the property was a sign saying not available now please call….. and then had to wait 3 plus hours to get my room. Upon entering the room the garage outside the door was piling up and right outside my door! Then faucet was broken and falling apart… not a good sign but pretty much expected for this property.. probably wouldn’t recommend staying here unless there’s no available rooms in Grand Junction 😩😩😩😡

Gross. Bed bugs

Easy check in, friendly staff, convenient location
- 4/5
Clean room, little bit outdated

Dirty, killed 2 spiders 1 with the manager there, cobwebs on the cieling , dirty comforter, manager brought back a new one, would rack falling off the wall, lamp shade splattered with dried pop .no washclothes untill asked for, bathroom door scratched up (bad) from someones pet, paint flaking..etc.etc.
- 4/5
Impeccably clean room. Comfortable enough bed and good variety of pillows. Heating unit was super quiet. However, once I stepped outside of the room I was quickly reminded of why I paid so little. Second floor walkway needs a serious re-do; and grounds were dirty and unkept.

No one at the front desk for almost 45 minutes when we arrived. Multiple people trying to check-in & called a phone number from a sign on the counter. Someone finally showed up & made excuses. Didn't explain the $100 "hold" on cc. Room was dirty. Uncomfortable beds. Towels smelled.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and prompt. Room was clean and quiet!
- 3/5
Informed the front desk just after check in that the toilet was broken. Had to reach into the toilet to flush each time. Nothing was done to fix the problem. Contacted the front desk at checkout to receive some sort of compensation for the in convenience, was told that i would be contacted by management by close of business Monday ,October 6 2025. Still no contact. I have call multiple times with no answer the phone.
- 2/5
White Shower curtain was brown/yellow at the bottom 😳 Hair in the shower. Numerous flies…and this was October, which likely means the room hadn’t been used/aired out for a while. No shampoo provided. Room in disrepair.
- 3/5
Convenient to interstate, Room OK, bare bones amenities, Ive never stayed in a hotel without shampoo before.
- 1/5
The room was gross. Shower broken and water wouldn’t turn off. Bugs in the room, towels dirty and sheets dirty. Would definitely NOT stay again.
- 2/5
The outside trash cans were all overflowing. The light over the sink was out. No coffee in the room as the hotel was out.
- 3/5
This was an okay property, but definitely could improve itself. Management required a $100 deposit which I view as unnecessary as they have my credit card info if there was theft or damage. The staff was businesslike but could use some lessons on friendliness to the customer. The room was okay, but the light above the sink did not work. The bed was crushed on the side I usually sleep (with the night stand). Since I felt like I was falling out of bed I slept on the other side (inconvenient, but it worked). I was on the back side of the building which was good to eliminate highway noise, but the exterior lighting was extremely poor. I could barely see my way to get ice. Then the ice machine was out of repair. Updates and repairs go a long way to improve customer satisfaction.
- 5/5
The personnel is attentive and reaponsive to guests' needs.
- 5/5
It was priced Right for what you get
- 1/5
As a reasonable guest, I expected to receive the room I paid for, especially one with accessibility features. Instead, the hotel had clearly given it away and then left me without proper accommodation. Even after explaining my situation, they refused to provide the accessible room I reserved, refused to arrange one elsewhere, and refused to refund me for a service I never received. This is not just poor customer service, it’s also a violation of consumer rights and accessibility requirements. Guests should be aware that this hotel may overbook and mishandle reservations, even when accessibility is essential. Very disappointing experience.

1.Customer service - someone needs to be at the desk for check ins and help (we did not get the help we needed it took 2 hours to check us in!) 2. The room door was jammed and you had to throw your weight against it after scanning the card. 3. Poop was left in the toilet in our room and it was plugged when we walked in. We had to plunger it to go down 4. They refused to give us towels after the second day there as we had used the old ones to mop up the water from the walk in shower that had no slope to drain off the water. They told us at the desk when we could find them that we needed to bring back our towels if we needed more. How could we do that? I guess I could go into their laundry room and wash them myself too! 5. Trash was heaped up by the side of our front door and left for a couple days before being taken away. Final thought - I will never EVER stay at Red Roof again!
- 1/5
Room not ready at 7pm, 3 hours after 3pm check in time. Room given had no cold water. Hotel refused to give credit for lack of cold water in room.

- 4/5
Staff were friendly during check in and check out. Room was spacious and clean.

When I went to check in they did not have a room for me despite the fact that I had reserved it months in advance. I had to wait in the waiting room for over 3 hours. The desk person was super awesome and did the best she could but without clean rooms she couldn't get me in. I would have gotten somewhere else but the entire city was booked!
- 4/5
Clean inside, dirty outside.
- 1/5
My husband and I payed for two nights and only stayed one! When we walked into the room it was dingy, there were flies and dead pugs in the window. The door didnt seem to shut tightly and as the rain started water came right under the door. When we called asking for a new room, with a door that shut fully, they just offered towels to put down. The trash cans all around the inn were overflowing and cigarettebutts were all over the parcking lot. Over all it was dirty and run down. We dont recommend the stay, even for the money saved.
- 2/5
The staff was very nice but check in sucked. Didn't get our room until 9pm Friday night when it should have been available after 3pm. Our room was clean but we found black mold on the shower curtain! Our son's room had multiple issues including a shower curtain rod that was coming loose from the wall and running water from the shower faucet. Our mom's room had a hair dryer that was broken and there was a stench of trash smelling from several areas of the property. The staff was very attentive and nice but it was obvious that corporate management is absent. This Grand Junction, CO property should either be shut down or renovated.
- 2/5
Our front door literally was so hard to close and open and to lock. It was honestly scary to even fall asleep
- 1/5
Was not able to get to hotel by allotted time on Sep 17th so Expedia cancelled my 3-day reservation.
- 2/5
We were in GJ on a busy weekend. Every room was booked and we were not able to check into our room until after 10:30pm because cleaning staff was still preparing rooms. Many people had a longer wait. The Red Roof front desk staff was phenomenally kind and empathetic during a challenging situation.
- 1/5
When we arrived at 8:30pm for check in, the staff informed us that we wouldn’t be able to get into the room for 2 hours. We had our two small children with us and were given no notice and no other option. We did get a refund, but they seem understaffed and everything was in rough shape to begin with.
- 1/5
First, we didn't arrive until 10 pm, but there were no rooms cleaned for us to check into. I am still waiting on my car for a clean room and it's been 45 minutes. Then we got told there is one and we get checked in only to be told that the front desk employee had to walk us into the room because there are no more room keys. The final straw was finally getting into a room to only get in there and the room was still not clean. This poor employee had no control over these issues so no blame on her. Holy crap did the management need to get their crap together! We were offered a free cancellation. Oh gee thanks considering every other hotel is sold out or costs over $400 a night. Not a helpful solution. Very disappointing and if I were not stuck between a rock and a hard place I wouldn't stay here at all, but unfortunately I don't have any other options.
- 2/5
Check in is 3pm, we came around 5pm. The key card did not work. My husband went back to office. An employee came to open the door. It would not open. She had to got back to the office. I went back to our car until I saw the room door open. Me and my pups went into the room. The employee was changing the bed, sheets and all. She said there were spots on the bedspread. I asked why the room wasn't checked before we arrived at 5pm.We asked her how to set the AC. She didn't understand what we were asking about. She said she would talk to her manager and get back to us. She never got back to us. Later that evening we found a remote that is used to set the temperature. The smoke detector was removed from the ceiling. Only the base was left on the ceiling. There was PILES of garbage in several areas of the motel. And garbage thrown on the sidewalk by the room. We have stayed a SUPER 8 numerous times. This was the worst one.
- 2/5
Bathroom sink leaked underneath.
- 2/5
Refrigerator was messy, door latch broken, bathroom door all scratched up and sheets not really clean. I was asked for a $100 deposit, which might take a week for refund.

Looked old and dirty
- 1/5
Room was very dated. Lamps didn’t work. A/C had napkins in the grill to eliminate vibration. Trash was piled up in the exterior stairwell. But, the worst part was the loud partying until 3 AM. Do not stay here!
- 3/5
Trash in parking lot around the stairway. Hotel is outdated. Dirty ice machine room had holes in the walls. Limited on parking and spaces were tight.
- 1/5
terrible checkin
- 1/5
We didn't end up staying. The room looked nothing liked the pictures and the door had a broken lock. They're we're people smoking pot right outside our room and the dumpsters around the property we're overflowing with garbage. The room had a really weird smell as well. We didn't feel safe, and the room felt unclean.

It was inexpensive but I think that no matter what, it should be clean. I think the cleaners changed the sheets but completely forgot about the bathroom. There was a whole ring of whiskers in the sink from where someone shaved and cleaned their razor off in a sink full of water. When they opened the drain plug and let the water out, the whiskers stuck to the sink. That was all there - not just a couple of whiskers. There was piss on the toilet and pubes in the tub. Disgusting! They should have a quality control list for housekeeping to check off and ensure everything was done before the next guest checks in.

The property had filled trash bags outside the rooms. There was trash on the stair walkway. This is not for a family traveling, as people were partying all night. Keep in mind that you will be required to put down a $100 deposit in addition to your room expense. The $100 deposit will be returned to you in 5-7 business days.
- 4/5
That being said it was pet friendly.
- 1/5
Some lights not working, uncomfortable bed, no breakfast offered.
- 2/5
1) dresser drawers broken and would not stay shut, creating a middle-of-the-night trip hazard. 2) refrigerator has large dents 3) smoke detector completely missing. 3) a/c ran constantly, but never really cooled. (Ran 80 in room).
- 1/5
Service wasn’t great, our bed had fresh stains and hair all over. Ants. Very run down and smells.
- 5/5
Quick stop for a night. Room was clean and friendly staff. Reasonable price for what you get and location. Close to restaurants and easy access to gas station and major roadways. Would stay again.
- 2/5
There was soap in the shower from the previous people and the shower curtain was moldy.
- 3/5
Its convenient but not friendly staff at check inn. Plus, not that clean.
- 5/5
Staff can be more friendly
- 1/5
Room smelled horribly of animal pee. Bathroom had not been cleaned. Floors were dirty, air conditioner filthy. Surrounding property and stairwells dirty.
- 1/5
Heater was on high while the ac was on low.
- 3/5
Area rundown and facilty seemed uncared for. Only amenity was coffee.
- 1/5
The whole hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, and requested smoke-free room. My room REEKED of cigarettes and the front desk said nothing they can do but air freshener. There were cops arresting people at the restaurant and weird people hanging out in the walkways being loud. Saw bugs in the bed and the floor was FILTHY. I had to wear shoes the whole time. I nearly threw up several times from having to be in a room that smelled like an ash tray and gave me a headache.
- 4/5
Beds good, facility older needs upgrades.
- 4/5
Huge piles of filled black garbage bags piled all around the building. DISGUSTING.
- 5/5
This place is great for what it is. The room was clean and not overly outdated. It’s a quick easy in & out on the freeway and had oversized parking for my 28’ trailer. For an inexpensive, convenient, clean place to sleep a few hours and take a shower it got the job done.
- 3/5
Staff was fantastic and restaurant was good
- 4/5
Great value for the price. Bed was good, room was clean. Ice room was not good.
- 1/5
Trash piles on every staircase, rooms that reek of cigarettes (had to get a new room that still stunk just slightly less). Dirty bathroom, stains and hair everywhere, moldy shower curtain. No mini fridge or microwave. One good thing was the bed sheets were clean
- 5/5
This place was easy to find, ample parking, and friendly staff! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
- 2/5
As far as a place to stay... its that, but there was trash piled up at every stairwell, damage from a prior occupant in the bathroom, and i had to climbthe stairs, disabled, ever though i requested ground floor whenaking my reservation... pass on GJ Red roof... there are much nicer hotels in town for the same price.
- 3/5
Room was okay. Need to clean the outside.
- 1/5
Room was not clean. Empty bottles under the bed. Extraordinarily rude staff. Property is unkempt. Room was nice enough if it had been clean. I read in their lobby that even though it’s pet friendly they will keep your deposit if there is dog hair in your room. Awaiting to see if they keep my deposit, I have Siberian huskies. Will not return to this establishment.
- 5/5
I needed a place to crash on my way through the mountains on I-70. This place was perfect for what I needed. I got a free upgrade to a king size bed that was really comfortable! That and a shower in a clean bathroom for a reasonable price was all I needed. I would happily go back!
- 3/5
The ac could use a cleaning but the room was comfortable .
- 3/5
Dogs stay free
- 4/5
The most important part was a clean room, which this absolutely was. Made it surprising to see the piles of garbage bags next to each staircase. Not sure what that was about. It was alarming to see and I was dreading seeing my room based on the state of the property. The room was actually clean and excellent. But under each staircase it looked like waste management was a few months overdue. Definitely weird, unsanitary and not at all something to make me want to book in the futuee
- 5/5
Everything was decent about this property, except it was upstairs, and we had a lot of stuff to carry up and down the stairs.
- 1/5
The accommodations were not what we expected, we reserved a room with 2 queen beds but the room only had one queen and a pull out sofa. The search said that the hotel had a pool also but it did not.
- 3/5
Shower water too hot to use no matter where you turned the temperature.
- 3/5
would not give discount because no lights in vanity area and no working hair dryer
- 4/5
Front desk people were very helpful, Expedia/Hotels.com dropped the ball on me by saying I could check in two days late. Was not approved by the hotel and I had been listed as a no show and charged full amount!
- 1/5
Disgusting
- 2/5
The room smelled really bad. Not well maintained
- 3/5
It wasn't bad it was far from nice. You get what you pay for.
- 1/5
It was noisy Not well taken care of
- 1/5
This place is nothing like advertised on Expedia. It is horrible! The first room i was put in most of the lights didn’t work and the sheets were dirty. I asked to switch rooms. They then gave me a room that was disgusting and the air conditioning did not work!! There was stuff dripping down the walls, hair in the bath tub, every surface was nasty obviously not wiped down and dead bugs on the floor. I would not be surprised if they had bedbugs. The hotel is located on the far outskirts of Grand Junction, basically Fruita! Do not believe the excellent rating, it is lies. Good luck if you book here, no matter how horrible it is there is no refunds.
- 1/5
The hotel is in need of a good deep cleaning, no coffee in the lobby, and housekeeping was rude
- 1/5
It was not a very nice experience
- 1/5
Horrible stay I want a refund
- 2/5
$40 room for $170 is outrageous.

Two adults and a child stayed in a two queen bed room. I asked for another set of towels and washcloths as only two were provided in the room. I was told management prefers not to provide another set, but to bring the used towels to the desk for a fresh set. We went to Walmart and bought a towel and washcloth. The door card was not properly programmed, had to have it redone. Door fitment was poor and difficult to open/close. List of room linens at the front desk had prices that you would be charged if anything was missing, up to and including mattresses. $100 credit card deposit required. Room very small for a double. Walk in shower soaked the entire floor with only one floor towel available. Ice machine not working. There was a partial roll of TP in the bathroom, we had to track down staff for another. Trash receptacle outside the room area was completely filled and overflowing within 8 hours of arrival. Still in same condition when we left two days later. Drama outside in the parking lot at night with guests coming and going. This place is one step above sleeping on the streets and many of the guests reflected that. There were a few travelers that weren’t locals. We won’t be back to this property. We made the mistake of staying here for three days because it was inexpensive, to attend an event. We left mid day after the second night for home, as the event ended early. Don’t stay here if you want even a basic, safe and friendly environment.
- 1/5
Staff unable to assist you. No toilet paper was available. Room wasn’t clean and couldn’t get towels.
- 2/5
Room had no soap or shampoo. Was not clean and it was extremely noisy
- 3/5
Good
- 1/5
We didn't get a room, didn't realize it was a doable room
- 2/5
I was on the road for a few weeks and this was the worst hotel I stayed in. I made reservations through an online company. When I got there they charged me an extra $30.00 to stay there. They also charged me a $100 deposit fee. They did return the $100. The room was OK, no better than OK. There was no breakfast and the lady at the desk was not very friendly.
- 1/5
Run down and cleaning staff not available. Towels and basic items missing. Trash had not been emptied.
- 2/5
It was dirty, not enough towels, shower leaked because it was a handy cap shower with no lip so water ran onto the floor.
- 2/5
Bathroom had no shampoo. Front desk brought some up. Ceiling in bathroom had large section of peeling paint. Door key wouldn’t work on second night and took half a hour for front desk to bring a new one.
- 2/5
The building smells like urine. Not in a good area. The building is dirty also. It took 1 1/2 hours to get towels and two trips to the desk.
- 5/5
The gentleman who check us in was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
This is just a trucker hotel, right on the busy interstate, surrounded by broken pavement and gas stations. But it sufficed for passing through and moving on.
- 1/5
Night time lady was super rude! Brown haired younger gal, I had a reservation through hotels.com and she up charged me another 15$ on my credit card because they were over booked. The room didn’t have a working AC! We won’t be staying there anymore! Which is a shame because the morning people are super nice and I never had a problem before.
- 4/5
Overall it was nice. The grounds were a bit needy, though.
- 1/5
I went to this place because it was "dog-friendly" with a $15 pet fee. When I arrived, after booking online, they had typed and handwritten signs hanging all over the place that detailed how they would charge you for stealing or damaging items in their rooms. You're kidding me?? One of the charges listed was a $65 pet hair fee. You are required to leave a $100 cash deposit in case you meet any of these charges. I tried to cancel and knew it would be a big mistake to stay and of course, they didn't allow that. So I stayed. I had an employee come do a walk-thru with me before I left because I didn't want to be accused of anything. I made sure there was no pet hair anywhere on anything but they found one and charged me $65. After researching the Red Roof Inn's website, they declare that pets stay free. They are in violation of their own policies. The receptionist was sitting there in a wife-beater with tattoos all up her arms so I knew what to expect when I first went in. She met every expectation. Such a trashy place. No professionalism. So unethical. RUN, don't walk, away from this place!!!!
- 3/5
I was quoted $67 per night but the motel charged me 79.49
- 3/5
Clean, but no shampoo. We were put on the side where there is heavy traffic; asked for the other side but no availability. I’d stay here again and I’m picky.
- 3/5
No smoke detector in my room let front desk know and said they would bring one but never did. Was woke up about midnight loud voices outside turns out it was employees was also next to a busy highway
- 5/5
Nice place, good people
- 3/5
From the front desk on, it was not good. We arrived as 7 p.m. and the front desk said we would have to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready. I demanded something better since I was traveling with my 88yo husband who needed to be in bed by 8. The front desk clerk researched and, after at least 20 minutes of me requesting help, found a handicap-accessible room that we could get into. Room was clean, but did not include any of the amenities pictured at left (was not a kitchenette). Only amenity was a small bar of soap. Wheel-in shower did not drain so I flooded the entire bathroom before I found a plunger by toilet which allowed it to drain, slowly. But I had used 1 of the 2 towels and the bathmat to stem the flood. Never saw clean towels, although I requested them. Small coffee maker only had 3 decaf pods, none of which I can use. Hardwood floor was dirty, because my bare feet collected dirt as I walked across the room. Low-mounted clothes bar made my dress drag on the floor. No counter space in bathroom, not even a soap dish in shower. AND, they charged $100 deposit to my credit card in case I damaged or stole anything!
- 4/5
Average motel. Thirty minutes wait at 4:30 on the afternoon. Room could have been cleaner. Property run down. Bending machine worked. TV did not. Stayed because I had no choice.
- 5/5
I love the Mexican restaurant margaritas
- 1/5
I will never stay at a red roof inn again. They don’t have anything they say they have. The bathtub was coming apart. The shower doesn’t work right.
- 1/5
Reserved the suite with the kitchenette for a week (shown in the photo) through Expedia. When I got there to check in, they gave me a regular hotel room instead. No kitchenette. I asked them to fix it. They said sure, but you'll have to reserve it through their physical office for an extra $350 (total around $700). AN OBVIOUS BAIT AND SWITCH. I was desperate and said OK. Before moving in I came back an hour later and asked to cancel. They cancelled the Kitchenette but wouldn't cancel the original room cost ($360).They said call Expedia. Expedia contacted them and Red Roof Inn management refused the refund. I'm out $360. It was like they were mad I used Expedia and didn't pay regular price through them. Don't rent from Red Roof Inn!
- 1/5
Needs paint..stained sheets…fire alarm not working! Will never stay there again! Can’t imagine how you would ever recommend this one!
- 5/5
The Mexican restaurant that is in the same building as the check-in is the best their margaritas are on point food is awesome. I ate there three times and the margaritas were convenient and I just walked to my room.
- 1/5
The owners were very rude and unprofessional. There is roaches that come out and climb the walls at night. The garbages are overflowing around the property.
