Ramada by Wyndham Grand Junction

It’s an older Ramada so shows its age and wear but it was clean and maintained well. Disappointed with the pool, water was freezing cold and it was 94 degrees out. We didn’t sit out on the patio area when cooler. Front desk attendant was courteous and recommended the Ale House for a good meal which we enjoyed greatly and was 2 miles up road. Easy on/off I-70. Bed comfy, plenty of warm water.

Our room was clean but the lock on the patio door was broken so we had to get a bar to stick in it so no one could open it from the outside. The furniture was so old & scratched up it looked horrible. The nighttime lock on the door was also broken. The breakfast was meh!! It wasn't horrible but we won't stay there again.

Rooms are very outdated and run down. Bathroom door jam was rotted off on one side. Looks like they tried to freshen up the rooms, however they used poor craftsmanship and cleaning. Baseboard’s not even nailed on. No working remote to the TV even though they brought us one on day 2. Pool was ice cold. Very disappointing experience for the price, was definitely not a 8 rating , more like 5

Made complaint nothing done, nowhere to take my medical service animal to relieve itself from my room location. There grass areas but they were not accessible from my room, when trying to check out the desk person could not be found.

Waffles were good. Bathroom was subpar. The grout and walls surrounding the shower were peeling looked possibly moldy. The carpet was torn in spots. The room was on the second floor without an elevator. I had to make 3 trips to the car and up/down the stairs to bring in our luggage. The room was located way in the back of the property and it was dark and creepy back there. I didn't feel that our car was safe back there. I had to drive to the front just to get breakfast because the walk was so far. The place looked like it was stuck in a time warp from 1992 and that no maintenance has been done since then. Will never stay here again, and possibly never stay at a Ramada branded property. Terrible.

Our ac didnt work during 90 degree weather.We reported it to the front desk who basically said they couldn't do anything. We asked about a different room. Or having maintneane come and we're brushed off so we stayed bc our daughter died

Staff was friendly but the property is below average to poor. Hallway carpets are incredibly dirty, window curtain not long enough and no match for the parking lot lights, toilet would not flush every other time, no elevator, the second floor has a window I the hallway overlooking the parking lot anti was covered in bird droppings, for the eat and run patrons there are signs forbidding "take and run" food, and finally the air conditioner can be described as an aircraft engine that winds up and rattles and then cycles on and off all night....property needs a lot of attention that it is not getting.

This is my fifth stay at this hotel and ever time the place is clean and the people are always very friendly and helpful.

You get what you pay for - room in disrepair, dirt in places there shouldn’t be, front desk staff was not helpful, and the free breakfast was sub-optimal. Gentleman in that space was not helpful, and it was messy. There were also a few questionable guests. Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for!!

Second time I’ve stayed here in 3 weeks. Both rooms I stayed in were good and clean.

The hair dryer in our bathroom was not working, and when mentioned to the front desk, they had maintenance come out right away and put a new one in. Super fast. Very friendly. Nice place to stay.

The staff twice put me in a room that did not did not meet the needs of the sleeping accommodations needed by both travelers staying in the same room and there were large, worn bare spots in the carpeting in the hotel. We stayed one night and the hotel refused to return the monies paid for 3 additional nights that we did not stay.

This place fits the bill for a clean, safe place to lay your head. The room was mostly comfortable, but the sink faucet didn’t work properly and the ac blows on the bed, making it uncomfortable to run it at night. It’s close to the road and surrounded by junky looking properties. Breakfast was okay for grab and go options; but the eggs looked unappetizing.

Could have been cleaner. Hallway and stairs carpeting looked like it had never been vacuumed. Room was ok. Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Didn't look like the floor was cleaned, there was used soap on the towel rack, shower cap on door hook. But towels were nice and thick. but the rest of the room was clean. Beds were comfortable. It’s an older hotel and could use some room by room painting, maintenance like faucet repair and lubrication of sliding doors but had plenty of hot water and was overall clean. We traveled with a dog and the hotel room was not convenient because the front was completely covered with rock or pavement and absolutely no grass except in the back or very front. Overall a good stay though

The hotel was clean, staff were nice, and we were satisfied with the room. We were 2 hours early and asked if our room was ready. They said yes but there would be a $25 fee to get in early. That was my first face to face with Ramada in over 20 years and we felt like we were being nickel & dimed. Not a good look.

You get what you pay for. More of a traveling construction team hotel, if that makes sense. Definately due for upgrades. Great water pressure though.

Main hall at front entrance was spotless, so more esthetic that true dirtiness. Room had need for update of some furnishings. A room taped off with masking tape on second floor was off-putting. Overall, this facilty is adequate and they work hard to provide a clean and comfortable stay. But, some cosmetic updates are needed to make guests feel totally comfortable.

The breakfast was the worst I have ever been to as far as hotel breakfast and facilities are concerned. Yuck! The cabinetry was old and battered. Waffle maker was not functional with batter cups strewn and abandoned on the counter when guests realized the maker didn’t work.

Breakfast was hot and good, but the rest of our stay wasn't so great. We were first given a room key to a room that was under construction/destroyed/dirty. Easy fix to get a different room. Our next room had broken locks on all three doors to the room (main door, secondary door to room next-door, and the sliding door out to the balcony). The place was a little on the sketchy side so not having working locks was scary. There were a lot of people smoking outside of their rooms on their balconies, so great place to stay if you need to smoke.

We were shuttled to the airport at the time we requested. The breakfast was good. We really appreciated Carlos, Carlos and the Front Desk people who helped us with the shuttling and getting the television programmed correctly! We would stay here again!

Our room had that "smoked in" smell and the free breakfast was slim pickings , but we didn't get there until 8:30 and it closed at 9:00 am so that was on us too. The staff was friendly and the parking lot was well lit up and felt very safe.

Our room had an odor and the property seemed a bit worn out and ran down. Passed a dead cockroach in the hallway. The breakfast was alright but the toasters didn't work and the pool was closed to be painted.

Upon arrival, we were informed that the pet fee was $30 per night even though the site said it was $20 per night. I asked if we would get the price quoted on the website and no, we were informed again that it was now 30 dollars per night. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The A/C unit was very loud. We had to turn it off to watch TV and to sleep.

I paid on hotels.com then when I checked in they charged me again. I filled out the pre-check in information online. When I checked in they asked for the same information all over again. Apparently they do not know what the pre-check in is or how to access it. The safe was locked when I checked in. I asked for it to be unlocked so I could use it. This request was ignored. The hotel is very dated and the staff is not on top of it. I will not be using this property again.

This is an older facility, but it has been upgraded and was nicely decorated. A very fair value.

Breakfast- green beans and carrots were in the scrambled eggs. That’s weird, the sausages were cold even though they were in a warmer. My husband and I arrived 30 minutes before breakfast was done and the waffle batter was taken away. They did bring it back until 10 minutes or less before 9 o’clock. When you came in, there was a very bad smell. I’m sure if it was curry or some kind of heating up food from India, but it made my husband and I sick because it was so strong.. the staff was very nice and accommodating to make sure we got a ground floor room which I appreciated

I chose this hotel because of the reviews indicating that it had a good breakfast and real eggs, and it was clean. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the same. The cold breakfast items were fine - the standard offerings of fruit, toast, bagels, oatmeal packets, etc. - were fine so I did find a little something to eat, but the hot offerings were the worst quality. Powdered eggs that were watery and eggs with mixed vegetables (green beans, peas, carrots) hardly appeared edible. The room was clean - not fancy but very clean, which I appreciated. The common areas weren’t as well kept and were worn and dirty. It worked fine for a quick 2 day visit, but I likely wont return on future visits.

Did not like that the place advertised free parking, but when I got there, I was told that that only applied to the two nights we stayed there and not to the nine days during which we left our car in their lot between stays. Overall, it was quite noisy in the hotel. I arrived late in the evening and did not sleep well, so I didn’t make it to breakfast until a few minutes before it closed at 9am. The staff already started cleaning up before 9am. They took away the waffle mix and unplugged the toasters. They didn’t seem concerned about the customers. I was going to stay at the hotel again on my way back from Arches, but I decided to cancel my reservation.

Staff wasn’t rude necessarily but wasn’t the kindest. Seemed more annoyed than anything. No one around when needing to check out. Room was not great. Paint peeling, carpet was meh, cracks in the walls, lighting was odd- but the bed was comfy.

Overall, not a bad place to sleep when driving through. I would stay again should the need arise. The one takeaway is that the pillows are too thin to use one, but using two is too think. Bring your own pillow.

Returned to the front desk to ask for a refund, told front desk person no way would I stay here. She stated she could not refund my money if booked through a third party, but eventually credited my card. Did not feel safe staying there after this incident.

The staff was very friendly. Our rooms were clean and well-equipped with the items we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient for our weekend at Wine Fest.

This was just a one night stay as we made our way to Moab. It worked out really well. It was a pleasant day. Really appreciated the refrigerator as we were bringing our own food. Would’ve liked to have seen a little bit more enthusiasm from the staff.

The room is wonderful. The front desk staff is outstanding and they have a courtyard thats fenced in where you can take your dogs for potty breaks. All in all this is 5 star in my book

Comfortable stay. The location is near to the airport and some distance from the downtown area via an indirect route.

The room was clean and it smelled ok not musty or old. Mattress on bed needs changed out as it felt broken down. Pillows were either too hard or tooo soft. The morning front desk person could use better customer service skills as she wouldn’t look at my wife to talk to her. She just kept staring at the computer.

Nothing notable… Everything was fine but nothing above and beyond. (Except the pool - I didn’t see it but my unpicky husband said even he wouldn’t go in it due to the state of the water.) Bed was comfortable, plenty of towels, close to airport and freeway.

Filthy hallway carpets and not one, but TWO cockroaches in the room made for a less-than-pleasant experience.

Great hotel with clean, comfortable rooms

Our room was clean, quiet and comfy. The hotel itself could use a spruce up but overall a very pleasant stay.

Pet friendly close off the highway those are about eh only perks

Beds were good; but a noisy and outdated air conditioning unit was a bit disruptive.

Checkin was great. Check out was great. Up near the GJ airport which is sort of industrial. Room was clean. Sort of weird in that i loaded my luggage into the room through the room's sliding glass door. Breakfast was free and was decent (sausages were banquet brand and on the cold side). Overall i got what paid for.

Property is older. Door to bathroom was coming apart and bathroom needed up dating. Walls have been patched several times. Furniture in room was old but the beds were comfortable. All in all not a bad stay just rooms and property are older and could use some up dating.

The balcony

There's a built-in nightlight in the bathroom that is so dim it is of no value and our traveling night light wouldn't work as the socket is not independent from the light switch - not smart. The sink faucet and the shower hardware need to be either replaced or fixed - STAT!

Receptionist was friendly and assisted my needs.

The property was ok and there were signs of it being upgraded but upkeep was lacking. A portion of the bathroom sink was broke off. Not a huge factor. Room was clean and it had a large fridge which was nice. The updates were nice and helpful. They included lighting, phone chargers and outlets on both sides of bed and engineered wood type of flooring. Had to park in the back but that ended up being a plus since it was well lit. Staff could be friendlier but were not rude.

The hotel has a kind of charm to it. It looks like it was a really swish hotel when it was constructed in the 60s or early 70s and looks like it was a little resort for it's day. I would stay here again.

No directory. Had to walk up to lobby the ask for directions to guest laundry (upstairs, so unable to use), location of ice, breakfast. Was not given any information at check in. Handle for sink in bathroom was defective. Shampoo and conditioner were already used. We were at the farthest end of motel and we both have trouble walking so no breakfast. No one to talk to at check out.

This place was an excellent value! Although it is an older property, it has really been refurbished nicely on the inside. The room was super clean and the bed was very comfy. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! It's not a high-end hotel by any means, but for the price in this area, I would highly recomment it.

This is a convenient hotel especially if you have your own food to prepare. No oven, but a stove top, microwave, full fridge and dishwasher. I suppose that is why the breakfast provided is very skimpy. Packaged sweet things and instant oatmeal and grits. Girl at the desk was very helpful with local information.

We had bed bugs in the room we stayed in, don’t recommend this hotel.

Bed was a little hard for my liking. But everyone was nice and pleasant. It was very quiet. Continental breakfast was good

The bathroom was deplorable. The tiles in the shower were failing. Many were caulked to hold them in. The cieling was pealing. They obviously didnt care about fixing it properly.

Staff was friendly and accommodating when needed to stay extra night, breakfast was good. Would recommend to friends and would stay the next time I was in town.

The drapes in our room were falling off the tracks, cleaning towels were left on the counter in the bedroom, bed skirts were tucked in the mattresses. Breakfast was ok, but tired looking. Also, no AC in check in/ breakfast area, so VERY hot.

Front desk was extremely helpful & accommodating after I advised them the room we were originally given smelled like a smoking room. I was quickly switched to a different room with no issues. Hotel was nice & quiet.

I wasn’t impressed. The bathroom grout/caulking was gross. There was a super strong floral or cleaner scent that gave me a headache. A dated building, but that is fine with me. Staff seemed good.

No A/C in lobby or breakfast room. The brick wall around the flowers near front door were just set there with no mortar. Ready to fall on your feet! Front desk staff not happy to be there! Rooms were clean bed was good water was hot. Price was right.
