Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness and convenient location, with many guests enjoying the proximity to local amenities. However, there are recurring complaints about the quality of the beds and the additional charge for parking. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the noise levels and the lack of soundproofing in the rooms.

The room was very clean and the pillows and bed comfortable. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. It was also quiet at night. We were very impressed by the free breakfast. The food was great and the well stocked. The lovely lady was restocking the food and condiments as fast as you used them.
- 5/5
The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, love the pool and hot tub, and the location
- 4/5
Nice place to stay but don’t get a room near the kids pool, got very loud at times!

Large rooms with easy walking to downtown
- 5/5
Check in was easy and quick. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The only thing I didn't like or wasn't necessarily used was they didnt ask for an ID. That is the first hotel we ever stayed at that that happened, but overall a great place to stay. We will definitely stay there again.

Excellent access to Grand Junction. Quiet, with large rooms, good breakfast, and staff was helpful.

The front desk employee wasn't very friendly at all and the carpet in our room was extremely dirty! The breakfast was very good and hot items hot. Breakfast area was nice and clean. The cleanliness of our room was not up to their normal high standard.

Pool was down for maintenance, but that was okay. I thought there was a restaurant in the hotel, that would have been nice! Didn't care for having to pay for parking. Beautiful hotel though.

The breakfast was delicious.

This is my favorite hotel in Grand Junction. It’s right downtown and walking distance from restaurants, the Avalon and Mesa theaters. It’s very clean and quiet and the staff is very nice.

Pool closed was a disappointment

The details on the property indicated that the pool was closed, but that the hot tub was open. That was not true, the hot tub was closed as well. I would not have booked my stay at this hotel if I would’ve known that the hot tub was not open. I Messaged Expedia for a credit towards my next stay for my inconvenience and have not gotten a response

Pool was closed, staff was not helpful at all. Reserved a junior suite noted to sleep 4 (king bed and pull out sofa). Room was as described with one major issue. The sofa bed was a twin bed at best! No way two people could sleep on it. Brought it to the attention of the front desk staff. Their solution was for me to go to Wal-Mart and buy an inflatable mattress or sleep on the sofa cushions! This has to be some of the worst customer service I've experienced at a hotel regardless of hotel level! Safe to say, I won't stay at this location again nor will my wife on her business trips.

We loved staying downtown instead of out by the freeway. The hotel facility was great - attractive, comfortable, clean. The breakfast was outstanding with options for those of us with dietary restrictions: dairy free, gluten free. It was so fun being downtown near restaurants and shops. We were surprised to have to pay $14 for parking for the night.

The rooms are older but very clean. The location downtown couldn’t get much better. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
The room was so spacious and super clean!
- 5/5
The place was really nice with very friendly staff
- 5/5
Great stay for one night. Very clean and up to date! Walkable to restaurants and shops. Parking behind the building was convenient for $11/night but in my opinion it should have been at no cost. We would stay here again if passing through.
- 5/5
I was pleased with all aspects of my visit to the Grand Junction Fairfield Inn, but especially like the room layout, with two chairs and a small table for watching TV (Football game)
- 5/5
Great place to stay. We had 2 queen beds which were super comfortable. Convenient location downtown. Very clean and quiet. The breakfast was so delicious and not just a continental, but full breakfast. The dining area was kept very clean and all the food restocked. The staff were extremely polite too.
- 5/5
Very convenient for the concert at.the mesa theater. Great place, decent breakfast too.
- 5/5
We like the shops and local restaurants downtown.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay
- 4/5
Great location at the end of the walkable downtown. traffic limited by the street configuration, so quiet for a downtown location.
- 5/5
Easy to get in and out with a vehicle, 4 EV chargers on property, clean rooms, quiet, ok breakfast at a reasonable price
- 5/5
Excellent , friendly,staff

- 5/5
Staff were very friendly. Especially the evening check in lady. Great hotel! Would stay again!
- 5/5
We've been on a road trip and have been staying in hotels in different states. This place is by far the best. Very nice, great staff, excellent room and great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again
- 5/5
Very close to old town but we were only there for one night. Loved the vibe of the area!
- 5/5
This hotel was so nice and quiet. Breakfast was great! I would stay here again and will recommend to others.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, walkable to good food places, but you had to it extra for parking.
- 5/5
We will stay there again
- 5/5
Great location!! Walkable part of town.great dining nearby.
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious rooms. Easy walk to downtown dining and shops.
- 4/5
You have to request that your room gets cleaned, which you would think would come with the cost of the room. And the domino sized soap is ridiculous. The morning breakfast are very good. And everything is clean and functional.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Nice room and breakfast
- 4/5
The location was good.
- 5/5
This hotel was very comfortable and has an awesome breakfast. That is part of your room expense. Very convenient for walking and very friendly staff.

Outstanding property. Would stay here again. Very clean, great staff, Downtown area is very nice. Great restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
It was very well managed.
- 5/5
Always a reliable great clean place. Love the bed and pillow. Great breakfast. Awesome downtown location. Fun outdoor hot tub and pool.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well kept. Decent breakfast.
- 4/5
Location, location, location!
- 4/5
Decent property. Walked to dinner and had a nice shopping strip. Paid parking.
- 3/5
Hallways were very loud, could here the person next door talking. One one elevator so had to take stairs a couple times to 3rd floor. Asked if we want parking, but never said it was not free. Breakfast was meh. Not the greatest experience.
- 4/5
Like that it’s downtown close to shopping and restaurants the pool is inside which is nice with kids in the winter but it’s cold just a heads up, and the beds are hard
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable, staff was kind and helpful, breakfast had many options and 12pm checkout is a plus!
- 5/5
It was very nice.
- 5/5
Great stay and facilities. Will look forward to staying here again in the future!
- 5/5
Great location in downtown Grand Junction. Friendly staff. Breakfast was above average (Chobani yogurt). The room we stayed in was quite large. Nice bed and linens. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Good place to stay!
- 5/5
It was a nice stay and was glad the linen didn't reek of the bleach smell
- 5/5
Nice property in downtown Grand Junction. Friendly, helpful staff. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. One oddity is the placement of the bathroom entrance, very close to the second bed (double queen room) so that you had to maneuver around the bed, but all in all a nice room.
- 3/5
Bathroom had water damage. Mold on ceiling. Fee was charged per day for parking.
- 3/5
Bathroom had water damage. Mold on the ceiling. I really disliked the fee for parking $11/ day.
- 5/5
Excellent location, very nice staff. Good breakfast. Disappointed about parking charge. No other obvious options for overnight, street parking etc. please just wrap parking cost into room charge so we know total coast before we go. Was handed parking g pass when checked in. Don’t realize charged until saw bill. May have missed that when making reservation.
- 5/5
Great family stay!
- 3/5
Didn’t like the black mold on the ceiling, hole in the wall. Parking
- 3/5
It was an okay place to stay. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Great area to visit
- 2/5
Needs to be upgraded
- 5/5
I liked the cleanliness of property. Didn't like extra fee for car parking. but all in all was okay.
- 3/5
Seriously worn out uneven bed. $11/night parking.
- 5/5
Great location to walk around.
- 5/5
The hotel was excellent and the staff was amazing...my only issue was the firmness of the mattress.
- 5/5
This place is great. The breakfast is the reason we stay here every time we are in GJ
- 3/5
Good hotel for families! It is in a great location in Main Street where everything is at walking distance. The front desk person was very nice to us. What I was disappointed was that the hotel needs a remodel. It is old and smells old or something. It was hard to be in the room with that smell. You can hear people from everywhere around the room and it was impossible to sleep. No sound proof at all! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub though.
- 4/5
Great stay and convenient accommodation.
- 5/5
Convenient location
- 4/5
I know we can’t control other guest. But when I called the front desk to report the guest above my room was ridiculously loud, the front desk took car of it immediately. Was a good stay.
- 4/5
Clean hotel, but overpriced. Three says later stayed in another hotel that was newer for half the price.
- 5/5
Clean and nice, walking distance on main street
- 5/5
Overall really great place
- 4/5
Great location. They charge for parking. Supposedly a hired company patrols it. Bed is a bit hard. Nice bathroom. Decent breakfast.
- 3/5
The walls are thin so we could hear guests in surrounding rooms and we could hear the swimmers in the pool below us, and outside in the hot tub. The room wasn’t adequately stocked for 2 nights for 3 people. 2 washcloths and one bar of soap, and an empty gel pump in the shower. There was no ice in the ice machine. House keeping came by at 8 am on checkout day (checkout isn’t until 12). The bar that is advertised isn’t even in the same building. It’s in hotel across the street. For half the price, MAYBE this would be adequate.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient and quiet. Checks all the boxes
- 4/5
We have stayed multiple times at this hotel and it is a great location for dining and events. The increased cost and the parking fee and parking tax are making it less and less desirable for a weekend getaway.
- 5/5
Alexa, the front desk manager when we arrived, understood the problem with our room we pointed out to her, and moved us to a different one, no hassle.
- 5/5
Have been a little cooler. The room stayed a bit warm even though it was set on 66
- 4/5
Very convenient to everything in downtown.
- 5/5
Going to a concert at the Avalon, we didn't want to deal with parking so booked a room at the Fairfield. The room was clean, comfortable, area was secure, and walking to and back from the Avalon was wonderful stretching before sitting and then sleeping.
- 5/5
Location in downtown grand junction was convenient. Staff was helpful to suggest restaurants.
- 5/5
Would be nice to have usb connections in the room to easily charge electronics
- 3/5
Property is very conveniently located downtown walking distance to many shops restaurants. Girl checking us in was more concerned about our service dog then she was about providing good customer service experience. Seemed to be an issue. Junior suite was large and had everything we needed. Colorado National Monument is minutes away.
- 2/5
There was a lg drywall patch in the ceiling in the bathroom that had not been painted as well as mold on the ceiling in the bath. Also hair all over the floor in the bath. For what i paid per night i expected better. When i me tioned it at the front desk, the comment was im sorry but there is nothing i. an fo about it since i had booked my room through expedia.
- 2/5
There was bed bugs in my bed did not sleep well. Kept getting awake by those bugs, but will return and hope this was a one time thing.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Everything was lovely.
- 5/5
Very nice staff & big suites
- 5/5
A nice one night stay for a wedding. Helpful staff
- 5/5
Friendly service and clean room.
- 4/5
The check in gal was great. Our only hiccup were the beds, hard as a rock and not restful at all.
- 2/5
First room had been smoked in, second room had wrong beds. No coffee on a Sunday morning, and no hot food at 9am. You can do better than this poorly run place
- 5/5
I have stayed here a few times while in Grand Junction. It’s an excellent location on Main St close to restaurants and shopping
- 5/5
This is a great location, close to shopping and restaurants.
- 4/5
Great location. Clean and comfortable. My only complaint was at breakfast the toaster didn’t work. Staff was helpful but said they knew it didn’t work . Anyway, it seems like a Marriott hotel should have a working toaster.
- 5/5
Super fast check in great location and always super clean and comfortable
- 5/5
very quiet area, easy parking, very nice rooms.
- 5/5
Always super fast check in, the staff is awesome and the room is alway clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Updated and clean.
- 5/5
Nice downtown area
- 3/5
Very average and fairly expensive. Not sure why they have to charge for parking, no one is walking to their hotel, just include the parking fee in the rate. The room is nothing spectacular. The last guests pizza was in our mini fridge. the TV is the largest I've seen in a hotel, but the remote was so delayed and slow that it was difficult to watch anything. The hot breakfast was good. The coffee was out most of the time, but it was good coffee. The lack of cleaning is not related to COVID anymore, they should really stop using that as an excuse to clean less. The elevator is ridiculously slow. It is close to everything downtown, which is why we stayed there.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay and convenient location
- 5/5
Front desk young woman was very kind and helpful
- 1/5
The stay would have been enjoyable except that I paid for my stay via Hotels.com and despite being assured by the staff at Fairfield Inn that the pending transaction showing on my credit would disappear in a couple of days it now appears that I have been charged for my stay by both Hotels.com and Fairfield Inn. Additionally I asked that the Manager e-mail me to explain the pending charges and I have received no response.
- 3/5
Easy access to the train station
- 5/5
Nice easy walk from Amtrak station to car rental food
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Good location for exploring downtown Grand Junction. Attractive and clean.
- 5/5
Best service we have received at a hotel in years.
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
I didn't like that they didn't provide warm breakfast options because they said their burners were out of order. Instead they had microwavable breakfast sandwiches. I wonder how long the burners have been out of order because this looked like a pretty permanent situation.
- 5/5
The most comfortable beds and pillows.
- 5/5
It was a nice hotel in a nice area.
