Location is perfect with breakfast lunch and dinner close. Within walking distance wherever you wa t to go… pool or dining downtown using the pedestrian walkway. Will stay again when in Glenwood

It was alright. A place to sleep.

Parking was convenient, ice was made available except before 8:00 am, felt secure and safe. Room was clean and maid service was good. A/c was good and tv had good cable selection.

The room was large, beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

Room was dirty, carpets were stained, bathroom had streaks on walls and tub, cracked tiles, beds were hard and uncomfortable, there weren’t any outlets near the beds, and the staff were upset that we showed up at our scheduled check-in time instead of later.

This is a reasonably priced accommodation in a tourist town of Glenwood Springs. Super location as you can walk to downtown , Amtrak station, and the Hot Springs Pool. It’s comfortable and budget friendly—no frills.

Frig and microwave. Bring your own bottled water. ( I recommend a filtered water tap somewhere). Great price!

Location Well lit Safe Nothing

I had a room with a vaulted ceiling and a stained-glass window. The office staff was excellent. They joked with me, stored my luggage after I checked out, and offered a towel for the hot-springs pool so I wouldn’t have to pay $5 to rent one. Appreciated that I didn’t have to wait for hot water. The motel has a great location with easy access to a couple of urban trails near the rivers. The motel is also within an easy walk to downtown with its many restaurants and other businesses. It is also within walking distance to the hot-springs pools that also have a couple of cold-plunge pools. I loved that my room had both a refrigerator and a microwave. Other members of my family stayed at a fancy hotel up the street, but they didn’t have a microwave in their rooms! This is not a fancy place, but it is decent place at a decent place with a few perks.

This is the only place we stay when in Glenwood. Wish there were more accessible outlets for our devices.

The management. Absolutely splendid. Amazing water pressure in the showers. Very clean. Amazing location. Noisy neighboring guests and not very thick walls. It's just a crap shoot if you end up next to a disrespectful group of people. However the management was extraordinary about getting them to quiet down.

The location and the view of town from the lodge was spectacular. The rooms weren't clean. There were burnt marks in the quilt. Only two pillows were given. The worst thing was that there were no water in the shower.

It’s a run down hotel, beds are old, bathtub finish was peeling, pillows felt like they were 10+ years old. It was $80 but I’ve discovered gems before for bargains. I was grateful that the microwave & fridge worked. I just wish I knew the level of outdated I was dealing with.

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering wonderful recommendations for things to do. The hotel is conveniently located near some fantastic restaurants. I especially recommend trying breakfast at the Bavarian. The rooms are spotless and well maintained. While it's not a modern hotel, I think that adds to its charming character.

Towels were dethreding, I would use has rags. The room had a musky smell had to get an air freshener. Outlets were loose and pugs would slip out.

Room was neglected, toilet paper was about empty and no extra, toilet seat was falling off, could not control HVAC, very hot in room.

It was good, we only use it for sleeping . A little out dated it was. Clean overall except for the shower I found hairs on the tile. Oh be careful with the refund we couldn’t tell the temperature we had some drinks and one off them exploded everything froze.

Cute little place in a great location in central Glenwood. Easily walkable to both hot springs and lots of shopping and dining options. Great for our brief overnight stay, although the room itself could use some updates. Some outlets & lamps were not functional and heat wasn’t available except for in the bathroom. With a little extra attention, the place would be perfect.

The management picked me up at train station and took me back. Very convenient. I appreciated it. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The carpet was stained in a couple of big spots. Needed cabinet in bathroom to use for hair and makeup supplies.

This is by far the cutest motel I’ve ever stayed at. Every detail is absolutely adorable. Our room was spotless and smells so clean. A plus was the shower also felt like a steam too. I highly recommend staying here.

We looked at different properties in Glenwood Springs before choosing Starlight Lodge. For Starlight Lodge, the location was perfect, and the price point was one of the best in the area. We were treated very well, and took advantage of the complimentary shuttle service when we arrived at the Amtrak Station. The rooms were clean, and for us, we had a balcony that provided a beautiful view of the mountains. My only complaint would be to change out the coffee for a different one!

I loved the old school vibe and that this place appears to be family owned! It was clean and comfortable. I’d stay again. Can’t beat the location!

The room was adequate, at best. The pillows were like cement, bedding old-fashioned. We were supposed to stay two nights and left after one. Nobody at front desk to even talk to about why we were leaving, and now they’re refusing to refund our second night.

The refrigerator was turned upon high (we didn’t realize it) and froze our food. So, we had to discard a lot of it. The window opened-that was nice for fresh air. However, the curtain kept falling down. When we tried to tell the office, the person didn’t understand English (some European language). The cleaning service did give us towels and took the trash we didn’t dispose of. NO ICE! The ice machine didn’t work. Couldn’t find anyone to tell. Parking is ambiguous. The space In front of our door didn’t allow enough space for our small Toyota. We could never figure out where we were to park. Be ware of Internet ratings. They aren’t that accurate. We were happy with the space to ret between our visits to the hot springs and eating! Food in Glenwood Springs is very diverse and all so very good!

Carpet was very dirty, needs some deep cleaning ; the staff however was very nice and sweet.

Service was overall real nice, owners figured out extra room for us to stay & went out of way to make sure we were accommodated.

Was there duct tape in the bathroom holding some tiles up? Yes, but you get what you pay for and this is a very affordable yet comfortable motel. It’s super close to downtown so easy to walk to and from, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked well. What more could you need? I would stay here again next time I’m in Glenwood.

We stayed back on July 12 2025, and it was the WORST night of my life! The room was infested with bugs! On the walls, ceilings, floors, even under the glass top on the desk! When the sunlight finally came we noticed several of the bugs that had been squashed on the bend of the closet door!! I could not sleep for fear of them crawling on me as they had done while awake! We had been on the road all day and was unsafe to continue our trip before sleeping! It was late and slim picking for rooms without going to another town in either direction. The next morning at check out, my husband took a clear plastic bag full of the bugs I had killed and collected and the lady was not concerned she stated they came from the trees! Whatever the cause, there IS A SOLUTION AND CURE!!! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM!! When he asked if she could at least refund 50% or something to accommodate for this she flat out refused!!! And so that my story isn't taken for an attempt to get something for free or bad mouth a place because they hurt my feelings, I've got pictures to back up my horrible encounter and proof for my lasting PTSD over that extremely long 7 hour stay!!!! I have videos I'd be happy to share, just ask!! Sleep in your car before staying here!!! There really needs to be a 0 star choice!!

This is a retro hotel that has been kept up very nicely. Yes old fashioned, but Yes, clean, safe, cute. Window box flowers. Spacious room and totally tiled bathroom - I mean totally tiled, everywhere except ceiling - so cute. We will stay here again next year. Parking close to room, very nice staff. Walking distance to restaurants.

This was the most magical little hotel. So cute and quaint . It was also located right in the heart of town very close to everything - hot springs, glenwood caverns, hanging lake , etc

Too noisy since it was on the street

I've stayed here many times, and weather it's a longer stay or short, it's always a positive experience. Simple, clean place, walking distance to the hot springs and downtown

When checking out, I handed my key (physical key with plastic keychain) to the older lady at the front and she said I needed to give her 2 keys, when they only gave me one. She didn't believe me and was quite rude about it. It wasn't expensive but it definitely wasn't the cheapest option in town. I'll stay elsewhere next time.

For the price and location. You can’t go wrong. The owners were very nice and helpful. I left a pair of glasses in the room and the cheerful and quickly mailed them to me. Great stay.

Good for price

My wife and I were in bed asleep when the owner decided to let herself into our room in the middle of the night. I heard the key go in the door, and met her at the door as she opened it. She said she came because of noise? It was quiet as a tomb, every one was in bed. Later called the desk and gave a different reason and they made out it is my fault she let her self in as I didn't hang the do not disturb sign or throw the deadbolt from my side. She just slid her key into the door and let herself in, no call on the phone first, no knock on the door just walk right in, and then give ME attitude at check out instead of apologizing. Plenty other good choices in Glenwood Springs pass this one by.

Love it !! the lady that welcome's you is very nice and polite. The room is very clean the air conditioner works, the Tv works as well. The restroom is very clean. I would recommend 100%

Best and affordable

Stained mattress, blood on the box spring (I slept in my sleeping bag), used coffee packet in the coffee maker, scum ring in both bath tub and sink, Wi-Fi info in room doesn’t match available networks. Room 1, in particular, is very noisy, as it’s adjacent to the highway. For nearly $200 a night (and sold out), do better, Starlight Lodge!

Great place to hang on a budget

Run down, not clean, broken items (tub stopper, lights, coffee maker), place need serious updates on everything.

My room had a variety of insects throughout and clearly had not been vacuumed prior to check-in. Throughout day 1 I kept feeling that 'bugs crawling on your skin' feeling and by day 2 I had bite marks all over my legs, ankles, and feet - turns out the room was thoroughly infested by fleas. I captured one and took pictures but the woman at the front desk did not take it seriously at all and waved me off. By the end of day 2 they had gotten into every nook and cranny of my belongings and I couldn't comfortably or safely go out in public let alone enjoy the rest of my planned activities. I returned to the front desk and spoke to the guy who took it slightly more seriously but still did his best to also write me off before finally booking me a room at a different motel. At that point it was midnight and I spent literally the entire night packing my stuff into trash bags, dousing everything in bug spray, transferring everything to the new motel on foot, systematically cleaning everything multiple times in the bathtub, and re-bagging for the trip home. I was so exhausted I slept through multiple alarms and missed my train home and had to scramble to find alternate transportation late in the day. Once I reached my car around 1am I had to strip naked in the parking garage at Union Station which made for a fun conversation with the security staff there. At home I once again wasted countless hours fumigating & cleaning everything yet again before anything came inside.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights. The room had four towels, and the came in after the first night and brought clean towels. The location was excellent. We walked to where we we're going.

The front desk was polite. The property is great for that retro feel. The room was okay. Just don't think it was worth the price charged.

I tried to cancel the night before which should have gotten me a refund but Expedia would not let me cancel. I left a message for the hotel and called the next day but did not get a call from the manage.

Basic. Maid didnt respect do not disturb sign. Right on the roundabout but not that much noise. I think they have HBO painted on the side of the hotel. No HBO. Towels were old and stained. Heat was on all night. You dont have control over it. Half the guests are sketchy. Like day laborers, etc. Could walk to baths and over bridge to town.

Loved my stay at the starlight Lodge. Very clean and the perfect location. The bed was so comfortable I actually took off the fitted sheet and gave been trying to find the same mattress for my own bed at home. I was very happy at this motel.

Stay was good... however for my husband it wasnt he complained about the bed being to firm(but i was fine with the firmness) rooms where adequate and service was great for when we needed more towels and TP. It was pretty hot in the room at night which is good for some people.. for most of my family they were not ok with it, but it was fine. channels on TV were great! Good variety.. we were able to see snow right as soon as we got outside and the place was quiet..

I’ve been staying at this property for many years. This time however, I was very disappointed. I think the cleaning staff is horrible. I doubt they wiped anything down, especially in the bathroom. Also the air/heater was SO loud and turning on and off very frequently. I didn’t want to just power it off, otherwise it would have gotten too cold in the room. As a result, very little and poor sleep for two nights. I left to go back home at 12:30am just to get out of there. And I would suggest they get new bedding. Overall, I’m sorry to say, not good.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, beds were decent, and the location was good too. Everything that we needed to go to was within a 5 minute drive which was nice. There were places to eat within walking distance too! Very convenient location, I would definitely stay here again.

Great place for a quick trip

Great location and room was ok. The bedding was very old and lack of normal blanket was unfortunate! Covers are so old and dirty I couldnt use it. Please improve the bedding with newer sheets and normal warm blankets and it would be a great option! Thanks for keeping room clean and staff are very friendly!

And price is good value! DEFINITELY stay there again! Great in summer, and in winter for Snowmass, Aspen, etc. Can do Roaring Fork Transit bus there from Glenwood! :-)
