Cons: Thin walls neighbor tv kept me up till 3 am. I think it was totally unacceptable to charge for parking and for each additional night. Plenty of parking room not any car protection. When you pay a business almost 400.00 to stay for 2 nights I think it's outrageous to charge for parking. There's other ways to keep non guests off the lot without corporate greed to charge for an unsealed parking lot.This info is not disclosed until after you purchased your stay. I worked 3 12 hour days to pay for this room and for 160 in gas to drive 6 hours there and I get gouged for parking. Business should be happy some one was willing to pay top dollar s plus to stay there . I think by the time you add the extra fees you may as well stay at the holiday inn or Hilton for a guaranteed quiet room and theft proof parking if your going to pay for parking.

I’ve been checking in here . But, why I had to pay $12 parking? I’d really like the quietness.

The staff was pleasant and helpful yet also stayed out of your way so that was good. The room itself looked quite nice at first glance. The bed was nice, tv worked, nice shower. The issues I had were small. The floors were extremely dirty like they’ve never been mopped (my socks were black on the bottoms), the towel rack was ripped out of the wall and missing, there were cracks in the ceiling, and the window didn’t latch shut. Overall wasn’t bad enough to complain but if your asking for an honest review I probably wouldn’t stay again.

I was very impressed by the staff here! The cleanliness was great and the rooms were renovated really nicely. This is the highest end, most top tier motel I’ve ever stayed at

Room was dirty. Found a bunch of knotted hair on the floor. Found a coke half full and the other half in a cup next to it on the counter. Cabinet door was broken. Microwave and fridge didn't work. Shower head was leaking everywhere. And has big gaps between the door, no type of insulation. Worst hotel experience by far. Lady at the front desk was super nice though.

Nothing, night stand was broken, front desk female tells my husband come by and bother. She tells us parking is 12.00 and says money is money then stretches her hand out and waves her fingers to pay her. I felt like we were being solicited. I was there for a short time and had a great time. No noise, I couldn't even hear anyone near me! Lol Staff was great and the deposit is so reasonable! Will be back for sure! :)

Cons: Shower curtain was not able to stop the water from flooding the bathroom during a shower. The shower did not drain well. A short shower would leave over an inch of water on your feet. A long shower almost overflowed the step in curb.

I liked everything. I am unhappy with one of the hotel staff members—a petite young woman who wears glasses. The last time I was here, she spoke to me very rudely. She needs to be fired; she is simply not up to the job. She is an incredibly rude and ill-mannered person. Her attitude toward guests is absolutely terrible. I have stayed at this hotel many times, and many of my friends have visited it based on my recommendation. However, this young woman's rudeness knows no bounds. The very best employees are the young man and woman who work the day shift; they almost always work together.

Due to these safety and health concerns, I did not stay overnight. My request for a full refund was not approved, which was disappointing after many years of booking travel through Expedia. I recommend confirming room conditions carefully before staying here. Expedia also is refusing my review. This is a downsized review because they don't want to hear my truth

Our room was spacious and handicap accessible. My husband and I had a comfortable night. We only had 3 pillows for a king size bed. Suggest to have 4 pillows.

It was so loud. People yelling and suitcases rolling loudly until 1:30 am.

There were bags of dirty linen laundry all over outside and were covered with dust and debris so they looked like they had been there for a long time. Also, the sliding glass door in our room had no lock. We had to jam a chair in there to make sure nobody could open it from the outside.

The room was kind of dirty. The sheets had a stain. When I went to close the curtains I walked away with cobwebs in my hair. We later found a spider on the bed sheets. The room needed up keep too as there were a lot of cracks and paint issues.

The air conditioning was great. We didn't get around to trying the pool but it looked nice.

This "hotel" is in a really good area but the rooms are not all the way clean. Beds are ok but after telling front desk if I can get the room clean up the only thing that change was beds were done and dirty towels where switch, garbage was taken out but no sweeping or mopping of the room happen. The pool was ok. I would not recommend to stay here, I will NOT EVEN CONSIDER staying here next time.

I had rented out the Room with Jacuzzi tub and was not able to enjoy it since their hot water kept running out. Had to do a cold Jacuzzi. I spoke to the front desk and they just said they already knew about the issue. Didn't apologize or even offer a partial refund. Last time we come here. Already disliked having to pay for parking separately from room stay.

Fridge wobbly and not cooling properly, had to throw a box of ice cream for my tot b/c of this. Bed are small, had to pay extra for my 4year old daughter as extra person and didnt get a decent size of bed. Noice are very audible from the other occupants, two nights we had to deal with heavy footsteps and fighting from the next door. It’s in a decent location otherwise not recommended if you are a family of 5.

The sweet girl at the front desk was nothing other than friendly, kind and upbeat. However, the property itself was awful. The first room didn’t have working lights, asked if there was a trick to turning them on I didn’t know, and front desk just offered another room. Second room had lights, but beds were dirty, as well as bathroom. Property had parts and trash stashed under stairwells, and cardboard shoved in thermostats. It was pretty clear proper maintenance is not found there. The pics on their website were very misleading. And the area of the city was a bit sketchy. We ended up leaving for a different hotel.

The breakfast was strictly carbs - plain bagels, toast, cereal, packaged muffins, make-it-yourself waffles. All were delicious but the first day, there wasn't any waffle mix so couldn't make waffles. Coffee, milk and orange juice were plentiful. The afternoon front desk person was antagonistic. I had inadvertently booked a handicapped room and when I asked if we could switch to a regular room, she said, "Well, that's what you booked." She did let us switch but when I asked what the difference in price would be, she was curt with her answer and said she was still figuring it out. It's called the Hotel Xilo, but it is NOT a hotel. It is a motel. It's an older motel, but they've made some decent upgrades and improvements. The beds are very comfortable. The shower offers a powerful spray of hot water. The sliding barn door to the bathroom is modern but it's frosted - while nothing is visible from the main room, it's difficult to sleep when someone is in the bathroom because the light permeates through the door and lights up the main room. There's only one narrow mirror in the bathroom. It would be nice if it was wider and if there was a second mirror in the main room.

Nick had great customer service. We actually stayed at their other property, which was just as nice. Both places had great people at the front desk. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Great locations. Jacuzzi tub was the best part of the room.

On the website and in person it’s advertised as a “hotel” it is not a hotel as the rooms are outside of the building. Bed and staff were amazing. Bed felt like a cloud and staff super helpful. I hated the wheelchair bathroom. For the shower the water went everywhere. The sink also had a odd placement.

There were all sorts of wires coming out of the wall very unsafe no hot water whatsoever. We showered with cold water and we asked them that there’s no hot water. They asked to come in and fix it. We stayed in that room for 48 hours And then decided to take a look while we were in the room and not when we were out of the room and when we asked for partial refund, he was not being pleasant and friendly, so we will definitely take the sub with our credit card.

I stayed here to go to Halloween horror nights with my friend, and it was perfect. We got there on a Friday and left on a Sunday. The manager was extremely kind letting us do a late checkout for a $30 fee on Sunday. The free breakfast was nice, and the hotel was in a great area. We went out to dinner at the mall, and it was actually really quiet for somewhere in the city. The king bed was extremely comfortable, and the parking was pretty cheap too. Overall I had a great stay, and we both want to stay here in the future for any other events we end up doing in the LA area!

The staff was friendly and accommodating our later than expected arrival. Room was clean and well kept for our arrival. The jetted tub within the room is such a great amenity and will be looking to book this room again. Thank you!

We had a nice two-night stay. Clean room, nice front counter service. Housekeeping never came by to make up the bed or clean the room after our first night. Other than that, it was a very affordable and clean place to stay.

i stayed in room 109 ,only reason i give it a 3 star was because neighbors a few rooms down where having way to much fun , a girl in a bikini was seen leaving with at least 2 different men in cars , saw it when we left to go out for dinner and saw it when we came back , and saw it again when i went to look for my charger in my car . pretty sure it was her room that was having the party til 3 am . also each time some one upstairs showers or flushes the toilet u can hear the water pipes really loud . so we really didnt sleep much til after 4 am.oh and i had to call front desk to ask for towels , because there was none in the room . i was planning on staying there again in 2 weeks when i go back into town but i think i might try somewhere else . reason i stayed the night in glendale was to try out the feliz night market .

Overall it’s okay. At first one can feel a safe and quiet neighborhood. Malls and restaurants are close by. But the property condition is not as expected. Washroom door was broken with two soaps for your shower option.

Stayed at the room with hot tub, it was so clean and comfortable and great running water.

Terrible experience

It's an ok hotel, our room smelled like exhaust, the property was a bit dirty, they were doing construction and stuff was all over. Overall ok, thin walls, had trouble sleeping.

Place still under renovations. Our room had no hairdryer, phone did not work and had a musty smell.

Generally the place is clean. When we checked in, the customer service staff was not smiling as a gesture of, you are welcome or anything you need we are here to assist you.

Yes I love the furniture very well put together over all! Chairs and bed very comfortable. I love the pool, shower, fridge, and microwave. I would like more Chanel on t.v and connect to my phone would be nice! 4/5 starssss

Okay for a night stay. The property is currently being renovated. Offers breakfast. Walking distance to Downtown Glendale and shops.

But there are s paint on the curtains. The baseboards were just tossed on the wall you can see were one meets the other. The picture they have of the room is not that nice. The work was shabby. The carpet was dirty.

We found one roach in the bed the first night. Room had couple of damages. Bathroom door was difficult to work with since it was a sliding door. Neighbors were arguing during night time.

I like the room with its comfortable bed, clean bathroom and complete with tv, mini fridge and microwave. I like the early breakfast, too but could have more options. It’s walking distance to the mall, park, grocery and restaurants, and it was safe to walk even at night. Staff is friendly and helpful, and so our overall stay was very pleasant!

It more of Motel than hotel

This has been my third or fourth time staying here and I have always had a good experience. The beds are comfortable and the shower heads are amazing! The parking fee is only $12/night which is not nearly as awful as other places in LA. I love the location because its so close to the Galleria and Brand Ave.

Fridge didn't work

Check-in was easy, and the front desk staff member was very friendly and polite. He was thorough in explaining all hotel accommodations, rules, and provisions. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and despite being located on a busy street, there was not much late-night noise. The only comment would be that on the second night, the room upstairs was quite noisy. The place is within walking distance of various nice restaurants and bakeries. I will be returning on my next visit.

This is an old motel that has been renovated. It was clean and you can park in front of the room. It is two floors, no elevator. The gym has a treadmill, bike and weights which are all new and good shape. The pool was clean. The pics online are not the bathroom we had. No tub. No place to hang towels or any hooks. The shower had no shelves to put your stuff but had dispensers with soap, shampoo and conditioner. It was clean and ok for the two of us for one night.

Overall the stay was good on 4/4/2025-4/7/2025. One thing needs attention, kind bed room the hanging rolling bathroom door fell off the rails and on my son head. He did not sustain serious injuries, but he had bruises on his head, we did not notice right away, we did not go to the hospital. Nice thing hotel manager refunded 30% of entire stay price. Also, hotel manager promised to check all the bathroom/hanging doors in the rooms and make sure the doors cannot come off if someone pushes in any direction. I would stay in future and recommend this hotel for future guests

We enjoyed the jacuzzi.

The 'guests' in the room nextdoor had numerous screaming matches and 'adult events' that were extremely uncomfortable and way too easy to hear.

The good: comfortable bed, relatively quiet room, good shower pressure, less expensive, good location to walk to dinners or shopping, room attendants were nice. The not good: faucet leaked (bad) the entire time in sink, shower had half door and dripped, barn door in bath gapped so little privacy, peeling paint/wall, no extra pillows for guests after request, sticky floor in room, one mirror in entire room and no full length so getting ready was challenging, pool furniture broken and area not maintained, overcharged for parking and at this time not able to get a refund. Just do your research and know if you’re looking for a place to sleep only, excellent; if you want a decent place hang out when not sleeping go somewhere else.

They were able to accommodate us last minute when most nearby hotels were booked. Great reception. Breakfast looked good, but we didn’t have any. Room had a bad smell but otherwise, good stay.

Felt safe around building

The continental breakfast is not true,the staff in the reception very impolite.Towels like used before.

They are ill equipped for the disabled. They're also rude. I had to take in upstairs room for one night with no elevator. They switched me downstairs the next day and the room was small, it smelled like roach spray and there were bugs and spiders in room 109. Overall it was a horrible stay and would not stay here ever again.

Not a hotel. It’s definitely not a hotel. Used to be a motel, they did some work inside of the rooms, now they call it a hotel. My room smelled weed so bad i couldn’t stay.

The room smelled bad. No way we would be able to sleep through that. When we asked the front desk for refund. He looked with a blank stare. When I said it again he looks and tells me call hotel.com for refund. He was pissed and gave straight attitude. I called hotels.com. He denied the refund. Told them no manager there to refund room. He was the only one on duty. Save your time and book somewhere else.

Very decent. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay on track, there was a broken tile and the shower curtain wasn’t mounted properly. Otherwise, a friendly staff, and very convenient to shopping.

Bathroom door was flimsy and difficult to close. It was noisy outside. Bed was comfortable.

The cabinet doors were all broken. The bathroom sink was leaking all over the place. Smell was bad. And the shower/bathroom was just really gross and falling apart. The walls were all water damaged and the tile was dirty.

Stayed in room with jetted tub. Not all the rooms with jetted tubs are the same. Some are nicer. Water is a little slow to fill. Inconsistent parking policy--sometimes they will charge for parking.

This property is not a hotel...it is an old, traditional motel. Rooms are arranged around a U-shaped parking lot, with one set of rooms at ground level and the others a floor above. All have doors opening to the parking lot. They have fixed up the rooms somewhat, but there are no amentities, other than some type of continental breakfast, which we didn't eat. The soap dispensers in the shower didn't work, the towels were raggy and old, the pillows were hard. They charged $12/night to park in the surface lot. Photos on hotels.com and Hotel Xilo's website are deceptive. This "hotel" was definitely not what we expected.

Room was clean but there was only one mirror which was in the bathroom. Room was not very big. The ice machine was broken the whole time. The pool area was also closed but it is very small. We asked the staff for extra towels and they never brought them. The bath towels are not very large either. They don't make anything fresh for breakfast besides coffee but they did have bagels and cream cheese. Good location.

Room smelled like vomit. Very loud next door and when called the lobby attendant, no one answered. Lobby attendant left her headphones on while checking in and she answered short and unfriendly.

So the place was pretty clean as far as we could tell. However there were no towel racks or anything in the restroom to hang anything that might be wet/damp. Bathroom had sliding door that overslides and pretty much leaves the bathroom open. Also there should be a mirror in the room, not just the bathroom.

The shower was really bad, the air conditioning was not working till this morning. It was a cold night and we couldn’t sleep well. The sound from the neighbours were loud. We choose to stay this area due to the fire evacuation yesterday. The price is not worth it. Not recommended.

As most have people mentioned its more of a motel, breakfast is minimal, toiletries is minimal. On my stay I have just 1 big issue and my prescriptions went missing. I didn’t want to imply it was stolen but I cannot find my prescriptions anymore, maybe the cleaners mistaken it as garbage as it was inside a white paper bag. But luckily I had enough on my pill box for the rest of my trip and just have to get emergency pills when i get home.

The soundproofing is terrible. I could barely sleep at night.
